Is that a negative ) on the % of hw errors? )) In reality no, but after it runs for about a month it is a low number and the equation behind it gets confused it seems. One thing which I saw in S5+ aswell is it seems HW error can go negative if run for around a month like this. So that is impossible. But the main thing is the S7 is stable and running good.

I've gotten feedback on some other sites saying 20 amps is the way to go. The calculations are: S7 uses roughly 1300watts...so 1300w / 240v = 5.41 amps...so each S7 needs around 6 amps. If you put an outlet with two available plug sockets on the 240v/20amp circuit then that would be ideal. You could run two miners on your 240v/20 amp circuit. Other input is appreciated as I am not an electrician.
Any reason they went with the 20 amp? Unless it is you don't have the extra amps I would go 30 amps. You will thank me when you get a 30 amp PDU and have 30 amps worth to power miners vs 20. I don't see an advantage of 20 unless it's all you can handle. I personally went 30 as I had enough amps and wanted 30 amp PDU vs 20 amp PDU.

Hello,
i`m waiting for my order of 3 antminer S7 (14.19 TH/s Total) with 3 PSU expected to be delivered this week and the Electricity Rate in my country is 0.0066$.
i want your help about what to do next ?
- Pool mining OR Self mining ? - if its Pool mining what pool should i go with ? and what is the best Pay out method ?
and i`ll appreciates any advice from you guys:)
thanks
Are you sure about the number of "0" in your electricity rate ? If it's acurate you should definetly look into buying used miners instead of paying for such efficient miners as S7. I'm guessing most likely no. Still is a not a horrible electricity at .06 he should do ok for near future. Hard to predict anything far ahead. Also we can let this thread go dont think op is reading it: Date Registered: January 25, 2016, 07:17:48 AM Last Active: January 25, 2016, 10:22:22 AM

Welp, i just tried the one the baazju suggested and it didnt work, then i looked at notlist3d's but i only have one avalon nano, do you think i can get the bfgminer command for 1 avalon? thanks
I gave you the command for BFGMiner and 1 Avalon... bfgminer.exe -o YOUR POOL URL -u YOUR WORKER -p YOUR PASSWORD -S ICA:\\.\COMYOUR COM NUMBER --set-device ICA:baud=115200 --set-device ICA:reopen=timeout --set-device ICA:work_division=1 --set-device ICA:fpga_count=1 --set-device ICA:probe_timeout=100 --set-device ICA:timing=0.22 --api-listen Make sure your setting the right com port on it. It should work as long as that is set. You might look in devices to make sure it's being detected right. But if all is good just setting 1 proper com port there should work if miner is there. i have the right com port, put the command into the .bat file ive called mine!.bat, run it, and bfgminer starts, but it gives me the hit m + then add, all, or from a com port, to which i type in avalonmm:\\.\COM16, but it says, no device found COM16 is high... are you sure you are using the right one? don't use avalonmm when you try and add.. use: ICA:\\.\COM16 what version of bfgminer are you using? Make sure it is the latest version. i tried ICA:\\.\COM16 but that didnt work either, wtf, also i have 5.4.1 That's really weird man, I'm out of ideas. I know some don't like it but you might try the GUI. Just to see if it works doing that. Seems like your hitting a wall with bfgminer. Try the gui and see if you have any luck with it. Even if you just do it to prove stick works.

Thanks for linking the support thread, since all this information exists there already. Search functions work.
Your welcome I did not want to take credit since was all right out of your thread. For others with compacs I really do suggest reading sidehacks thread on support. It has a lot of good info right on page 1, that was where all this came from. I'm did not mention OP with using windows it will be "bfgminer.exe" at start instead of "./bfgminer" as that is the linux side. You might think about a RPI to run them it does it with very little power being used.

Are you sure on this? It seems if an address receives a bunch of carded merchandise even if through wishlist they would look into it. I guess the carding aspect scares me on it.
They do look into it I suppose, but with physical goods, the time to prepare and ship those products is usually enough time for their fraud detection stuff to catch carders so much of the stuff you buy won't actually be carded. Although if you are scared of carders purse has an instant option which gives you only a 5% discount. This I believe is actually paid for by purse so they won't be using stolen credit cards. Also, I think that purse will cover you if you do happen to be under investigation for supposedly carding stuff. They will pay up to $10,000 for any unexpected costs like legal fees if you happen to be taken to court over buying stuff on purse because the goods were carded. My fear of it is they see X address is getting a lot of carded merchandise. It seems like eventually amazon would not ship to address. They track a lot of things and I'm sure amount of carded merchandise is on there. I just can't wrap head around why anyone would pay 20 percent over BTC value through this unless it was carded. They could go to LBC for less then 20 percent over I would think on buying BTC.

Please some one tell me how can I protect my btc faucet site from bots.. I am loosing my satoshi without traffic.
These are some methods available to solve your problem: Add a captcha, use server-side cookies, use cookies, require e-mail address, require bitcointalk account, require mobile phone or block all proxies. As always in technology, there is more than one solution. Asking for email, bitcointalk account, or mobile how do your verify? Seems like someone could use dummy info and still botting. I think making capatcha have a time limit is possibly best way. If it has to be solved say in 30 seconds, it will be hard for a service to get it solve it and send back in that time. But I would focus more on amount of time and fine tune it.

Hey I am just getting into mining and I was wondering if anyone has any Miners that are not currently being used to send me. I live in Denver Colorado but if you live in another area I can pay shipping. Thanks so much everone.
Sincerely, Tucker
I doubt you get many offers on free miners. What is your electricity price? Also are you doing this for learning or trying to profit? If just learning look at like compacs from sidehack for 25ish dollars you can learn how to mine with a usb miner. It will not ROI but will teach you mining if that is what your after.

I think your looking at wrong examples. His electrician asked how many amps on 240..... so were talking about a breaker. Example - http://www.amazon.com/Siemens-Q230-240-Volt-Circuit-Breaker/dp/B00002N5HJI think 30 amps as long as electrician say's you have that much you can do. But I was hoping someone else would agree, or comment better if there is a better option to tell electrician.

I'm in the US, where would be the best place to buy an S7 with a credit card?
Amazon. In other news, got my batch 9 S7s in today. Three of them have issues with board 2. Sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn't. Sigh. Anyways, I was playing with one of them and installed some of these fans http://amzn.to/1OTMULB and surprisingly it stays around 60 degrees. This is a pretty substantial noise difference. I guess you could just change the stock fan setting to 30-50% and make it quieter. But honestly Noctua makes a damn good fan. I wanted to keep this S7 at my house instead of the data center. I have it outside in a small shed with an ambient temp of around 70 degrees. I'm impressed. I did under clock to 675 just to give me some buffer. The hottest it got today was 63, and has since dropped back into the 50s now that it is 5pm. I assume you powered boards 1&2 first than board three and the controller? It might sound stupid but I believe with tougher warranty nowday's if you unscrew and change fan's it voids warranty. - https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=000201511170341298180m44675v06133. In some cases, the warranty will be void, but Bitmain can still do repairs at your own expense if requested. The following events will void the warranty: a. Customer removes/replaces any components by himself without receiving permission from Bitmain first; I know it sounds crazy but even a fan mod without permission is now something that can void warranty. Oh I definitely know. I resell on Amazon and various other avenues and have had my fair share of warranty and returns. I kept one of these batch 9 for myself to play around with at home and do some mods. This one will definitely have the warranty void. Although I doubt they would be able to tell for something as simple as a fan swap. The plans I have later will definitely void things though, but oh well. Yea I'm not sure if they can tell or not. After shipment i took off one fan once to check if all heatsinks were in place, I'm not sure how you can tell without doing it but I know that is against warranty. I did see some small sticker edge inside so I'm not sure what they can tell. I have always been honest with them but have been my last rma with bitmain was a S3 board.... so been a while.

Two fan headers on the same machine just burned out. Now it has no fans Machine #1: Antminer S3 (Now has 2 burnt fan headers - has ethernet) Machine #2: Antminer S3 (Works okay - has wifi) PSU: Corsair RM750 The PSU was powering both S3 machines but both underclocked, one at 193Mhz the other around 150Mhz. The burnout occurred after adding a wifi antenna and pigtail to the S3. What would cause this? Too much load on the PSU? The antenna was only partially attached to the case. Could it be caused by the antenna not securely bolted to the machine? At the same time that Machine 1 fan headers burned out Machine 2 had just added a fan splitter and second fan because upon purchasing the Machine 2 one of the fan headers was already burnt out. Fan splitter for Machine 2 is: StarTech.com 12-Inch 4 Pin Fan Power Splitter Cable - F/M (FAN4SPLIT12) Getting worried I removed the fan splitter and second fan from Machine 2. Is it okay to add it back? For Machine 1: Any ideas for getting fans to this? Maybe a fan controller--recommendations? I would not run it with no fan's personally. You should be able to get fan's to use molex and I think you should have that with PSU, but you lose function of turning up and don on fan's. Fan controller you retain ability to turn fan's up and down. I think that is as good as it get's with burning them out. I'm not sure on antenna causing have not heard of it before. Does it touch any parts on boards with metal on wifi adapter? I would take it off if damage started after it. But that is best guess I have is if the metal on wifi pigtail hit board on wrong spot.

many thanks turned the screw just a fraction and seems to be working fine at the moment not seen any hardware errors as yet, but if i do, how do i adjust the clock rate ?? someone please give him a bat file with a few freq settings. I would do it but I am not running bfg miner. on the volts adjustments if the pot is like this + top at 12 just move it 1 hour to 11 to lower or 1 hour to 1 to raise. then do a new test for a bit. usb2 ports can do freq 200 on most setups. Add "--compac-freq 200" to the command line at some point. You can try 150 or whatever. I have a Y splitter so i'm not sure when you should stop cranking it up. I think that is command with cgminer not bfgminer. I think it is more "--set compac:clock=x0b83" In later versions it allows freq no instead of that, but not sure what version of bfgminer bfgminer: ./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -O 1BURGERAXHH6Yi6LRybRJK7ybEm5m5HwTr --set compac:clock=x0b83 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Note that for bfgminer you have to use the hex value for a given clock rate, whereas for cgminer you specify the clock rate in MHz. A table of values to use in BFGminer is as follows: { 100, 0x0783 }, { 106.25, 0x0803 }, { 112.5, 0x0883 }, { 118.75, 0x0903 }, { 125, 0x0983 }, { 131.25, 0x0a03 }, { 137.5, 0x0a83 }, { 143.75, 0x1687 }, { 150, 0x0b83 }, { 156.25, 0x0c03 }, { 162.5, 0x0c83 }, { 168.75, 0x1a87 }, { 175, 0x0d83 }, { 181.25, 0x0e83 }, { 193.75, 0x0f03 }, { 196.88, 0x1f07 }, { 200, 0x0782 }, .... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173963

Dropping price and rising difficulty isn't good for anyone, I would rather see the opposite happen! As long as the price floor stays ~$380 I don't think too many people complain, but personally I like seeing $4XX as the bottom, it just makes me feel better.
I would agree it is nice to see that 400+ price in head. Makes me think were heading right way. I'm kinda tired of 380-400 area but I guess it could be worse then that. Bitwisdom is pretty constant: Bitcoin Difficulty: 113,354,299,801 Estimated Next Difficulty: 120,576,340,401 (+6.37%) Adjust time: After 117 Blocks, About 17.5 hours Hashrate(?): 967,826,093 GH/s

I plan on installing 240v outlets for my new S7's. My electrician is asking how many amps? I cannot find this information on the Bitmain website. Thanks as always!
I suggest reading on 240 a little more. He is asking about the breaker amps. I personally would ask 30 if your breaker box can handle it. Then get a 30 amp PDU, make sure he put's in the plug that you need for the PDU. Wait for someone else to confirm before you tell him. But I would say 30 as long as you can handle it.

Also, is there anything it can be done to prevent it from going zombie?
Eventually after 2-3 hours it stops hashing.. dunno why..
I don't think you read about these miners as much as you should have before buying . Zombie is their nature it happens and is a pain and makes it where you have to babysit them. Other option is automation best one I think is a R1 with CrazyGuy's custom firmware to restart it if there is a zombie. Also when I asked: Hot is still not a good thing when talking about power adapters. Is this one that came with U3 or a " 4.5 A" you described once above? What does more or less mean on that? well its not exactly like that, but kind of (its a brick but it has a connection like a nice PSU): I dont know how to upload an image or how to explain it :/ price: 20 euros. i dont know if this will help... Not sure what your talking about. But the important thing I was asking is it the 4.5 A you mentioned at first? Or is it the 6A as bitmain specified?

UPS wants to charge me a fee for import duties. This may well be the last miner I buy from bitmain since they obviously can't get their shit together with the paperwork.
Was it over $2500 total purchase or below. Fedex seems like the bether route. Just one miner. It must have been around $1130ish at time of purchase. So looks like the duty comes out to around 3.15%. I have never had to pay a duty on miners before. I saw that conversation about HST codes but I had already made the order by the time people were talking about it in the thread and I was unable to go back and change anything to add it to my order. Call the number on the invoice and tell them what it is, UPS will refund, at least they refunded mine. Well after calling UPS many times, waiting for a call back and not getting it, then calling again, then calling different departments, I was told the charge was being removed. The miner hasn't arrived yet, supposed to arrive today so we'll see if the driver gets the info that there isn't supposed to be a charge. The lady I talked to asked me what a bitcoin miner is and then she put me on hold and when she came back she said she "added an entry in the system for bitcoin miner that has no duty fees". Now I don't know if that is specific to my delivery or if that means a UPS-wide thing so that this doesn't happen with packages labelled "bitcoin miner". It sure seems like when you call them, you get told entirely different things depending on who you talk to. I should also apologize to bitmain for my original post too. This does not appear to be their problem after all, it's a UPS problem so apologies to bitmain on that count. Most likely was specific to your delivery. I doubt they did a blanket rule for everyone. If you are in US and get a decent sized charge call the carrier, as you really should not have that much extra cost over shipping if any. It is normally a mixup and can be fixed by calling when it does happen. Some other countries are stuck with vat/import taxes so this calling will not work for everyone. So of course the driver arrived and required me to pay in order to leave the package. So now I have to see if I can get a refund. I guess it's fedex from now on. EDIT: Also my batch 9 IO board only has connectors for the 3 blades. UPS, DHL and FedEx all have the right to charge customs brokerage fees and processing fees while importing items, while the miner may be duty/tax free they are still permitted to charge these fees as services rendered. They usually don't charge these for smaller orders, and sometimes it's just a wrong HTS code. Hopefully you got the name on who you talked to. When possible try to get name and extension. Did you have the info of person you talked to show driver? Or did driver not care and said to fight it later? I am curious to see what latest B9's will be if they are close to Feb 5th or if sooner. Guess we won't know for a bit.

Was on original settings 700 M and work fine no overclock .(overclocking void the warranty) All 135 chips work fine 10 days . The PSU is on 228 W -50 Hz
Thank you for help
If you haven't already, try a hard reboot sometimes that helps. If that doesn't help, contact Bitmain you may have a bad board. I would agree send in a request for RMA - info@bitmaintech.com . Include troubleshooting you have done and resuts, to try to save time. Also don't open the machine or try anything like that as that voids warranty anymore. But they should tell you what to do after email.

Please put captcha on your site to prevent fraud bots.
there are service that solve captcha for you, so this is not a solution you cna do besides adding captcha making the faucet sending money every 5 min, so they need to spend more on captcha sovler, to have the same amount of satoshi of a faucet that pay you every 1 hour this mena that it will not worth it for them I would think it's already not worth it. Faucet pay's 80 Percent - 200 satoshi - $0.0008013000 20 percent - 300 satoshi - $0.0012022800 Just a quick google it looks like your losing money. 5k solves for 7 dollars. 80 percent - 3.2052 20 percent - 1.2022 So spend 7 dollalrs and get 4.40 approx seems like crappy deal. Only way they are making money if if it's automated and does not use human services. And if that your talking about thousands of views and sends. Unless someone knows some site that solves 5k for on average less than 4.40 dollars. you did not know about this captcha solver which is cheaper $2.5 for 5k captcha, so it would be profitable 2captcha.com You would be right then. I have not used a bot on anything in a long time so kinda out of look on pricing. OP what you might do is find a way to make captcha only valid for so many seconds. So give it 15 seconds to enter the captacha. Chances are it is not going to send to service get solved and anwser be sent back in that amount of time. Or you need to make it where you only send to address X amount of times per hour. Your goal is to stop basically slow it down where it's not worth botting since it appears it is profitable.
