2561  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] Roobet.com Signature Campaign | The Honest Online Casino | Full Members+ on: April 21, 2020, 07:04:44 PM
Hello Hhampuz,
I believe that one of your campaign participant khaled011 is trying to burst post to meet the 15 post requirement. He had already made 8 posts in the last 24 hours and will try to post another two by the end of the day. I think you need to add a rule that users shouldn't be burst posting or set a max limit of posts which considered for a day.
Cheers,
Luci
Hhampuz is going to check everyone post soon to update the spreadsheet no need to post here.

Hhampuz will decide if his going to get a payment. And make the rules.
2562  Other / Meta / Re: Should this be allowed? on: April 21, 2020, 05:41:54 PM
The number of posts is not a problem, it is not the cause of spam. How a campaign works will depend on its manager, if he does all the work well, chooses the best poster, spam posts will not appear. On the contrary, even if the campaign requires 10 or 20 posts, a non-responsible manager will have a row of spam posts created. The required section too, each campaign has the right to ask for what they want, if you find it difficult to complete their request, just ignore their campaign, only those who are eligible accept. They do not require users to post to their ANN, they do not do prohibited things. They only post their topics in the wrong section  Roll Eyes

Although Yobit is bad, I don't think their campaign is bad, they have yahoo62278 there, the quality is checked thoroughly and spammers are always eliminated, there are no obstacles there.
Yeah, the problem is participants that is spamming just to complete the required post.

With just my opinion about it required post is not going to be a problem at any campaign since it is not mandatory to joined their campaign so if you have complains about their rules then dont join the campaign end of the story.

I check the link and the required post is change to 20 so i guess problem solved.
2563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does good side of gambling overcomes its negative side? on: April 21, 2020, 03:49:28 PM
Gambling affects us through positive and negative. I know there are so many gamblers that are really used in gambling on which they have already experience many things while gambling and for sure they have experienced good sides and bad sides of gambling.

I just want to list down all the positive and negative things of gambling:
Positive:
1. Gambling will let you think analytically and logically.
2. Boost your decision making.
3. It will let you interact with other people which is good for socializing.
4. Gives you happiness and entertainment
5. It can be a source of income.

Negative:
1. It will make you unproductive in other things.
2. It may destroy your life if you get so addicted on it.
3. It will lessen your time spending on your family.
4. You may lose your money.
5. Some says that it will lessen your reputation.

It made me realize, do positive things will let you stay from gambling?
Sure thing gambling has negative and positive but it also just depend to us if what are we going to allow in our selves except when it comes to money, of course, you cannot really make it win at all time.

But I guess the other negatives still depend on what we are doing and for sure we could eliminate that and have a balanced lifestyle at gambling.
2564  Other / Meta / Re: Is this Plagiarism ? on: April 21, 2020, 03:31:41 PM
I don't think it was plagiarism, in the same cases or if you're going to think about it if you don't put the source of the image your basically owning the image which could be a reason for plagiarism.

so it is better to just do this:

And adding a reference to the image(s) is the best practice like mentioned above.

In some materials, there are also cases of fair use or copyright where you don't have permission to the owner

That would be a copyright violation, not plagiarism.

2566  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Account Selling on: April 21, 2020, 09:01:06 AM
Hindi ako aware dito.

Ang problema ay kapag nanghingi ng update for personal information and identification.
Pano yon?

Syempre hindi naman mag level 3 to ng walang registration ng mga requirements na yon?

2567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [OPEN] wayki chain ambassador request signature campaign on: April 21, 2020, 08:28:32 AM
- Each payment will be sent directly to your WaykiTimes Wallet in Wicc
This means the topic belongs to the altcoin section not here :-D
In other words, since you are paying in altcoin then this does not belong to bitcoin service section.
Yeah, you should move it to bounties.

2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? on: April 20, 2020, 06:20:54 PM
As we all know , Coronavirus has impacted each and every industry in the whole world and sports isn't an exception .

If you take a look at this  , https://www.nytimes.com/article/sports-canceled-coronavirus.html or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5232295.0 you will get to know how many tournaments across different sports have been affected .

But the question is , is this the right time for gambling addicts to come out of addiction? The assumption I am making here is  that the gambling addicts are addicts on sports betting and not casino game addiction or poker .

Why this question is because although I wanna bet on sports ( which I have been doing every week since 8 years ) now I cannot .
I think gambling addicts could surely stop gambling at this moment just because of the coronavirus, either way, they don't have a choice because for sure casinos are closed also sports games are canceled because of the coronavirus so there will be no bets in that for sure. Probably it would be a  choice of their life or their addiction if they continued to gamble or just stay at home or find  alternative like gambling online.

This situation probably helps you to get out of your addiction but if you know yourself that you don't really want to change your self it ould be useless because at the end of the virus you surely going to gamble again.

2569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Opera now lets US users buy crypto with Apple Pay or debit card on: April 20, 2020, 06:10:40 PM

Since it involves credit and debit cards, I will assume a KYC is mandated here?

If it does, I don't see any difference when buying through the local or global exchange.
There is KYC with the use of credit and debit cards, even when most of us do not like that type of exposure. But the difference with Opera accepting crypto trades with local exchanges is that using Opera gives a wider publicity than the locals. This is a good development. I know it will cause more people to know about crypto currency.
Still, great news and I think a good move having this adaptation could easily help bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I dont really use this option but having this would be great, Opera should do more improvement comparing other browsers that already have a lot of crypto features.

I don't like KYC  either to this platform I just don't think that information should be shared just because we just cannot easily trust this company.

Also, I see similar topics here :

2570  Other / Off-topic / Re: [POLL] Which browser do you use for bitcointalk? on: April 20, 2020, 02:55:09 PM
90% of the time Firefox+VPN (Express VPN)
10% of the time Brave +VPN, mostly while on the mobile phone.

I was using almost exclusively Brave for a few months, just to check it out and it was a fine browser but in the end I reverted back to Firefox that I've used for many years now.
I'm just using the Chrome browser most of the time since its fast, I've tried using the TOR browser but I encounter a lot of problems maybe because of my slow internet connection dealing with the captcha and re-login in TOR is annoying to me.

Even using VPN in chrome is affecting my internet speed, also I read a lot about this brave browser and I think I'm going to try using it.
2571  Other / Meta / Re: Google reCaptcha sucks on: April 20, 2020, 11:44:56 AM

OP, Have you encountered like this? Tongue

LOL.. too many times.

I do wonder how those with poor eyesight manage..
I also have a poor eyesight but it's not a problem to me. Don't sweat it mate, in that case you can just click those 4 tiles an ignore the excess. If ever there's another one given to you then just answer it more accurately and you're in Smiley. If it reaaly annoys you, don't forget to click the "Always logged in" button to avoid this interruptions once and for all. Also, avoid clearing the data of your browser.
Relate to this  Grin Grin  sometimes this happened but you don't know if you're going to include the excess part in the picture.

But sometimes 4 blocks is enough already work for the captcha, I guess the traffic signal photo is the one who always has this thing.
2572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is your expectation still high on the halving on: April 20, 2020, 11:23:50 AM
We have a lot of expectations in the halving in fact our expectations are very high before this pandemic especially those new in the market and the first time to experience halving, now is your expectation still high in the coming halving even if we are in the middle of a pandemic.
I might still agree to this, Even there is a pandemic virus I think the market could still handle it well in the bitcoin halving event. I can't expect a fast increase in the market price of bitcoin but for sure after bitcoin halving, it would be a huge adjustment and a big chance of pumping the market both in altcoins and bitcoin.

It would not be surprising seeing the market not getting a  pump right after the halving but for sure we could expect movements in the market.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How bitcoins is helping during the lockdown on: April 19, 2020, 04:30:42 PM
Well I do think everyone is fimilar with the situation that every country is in right now .
To eleminate the risks of spreading the Corona virus , government have established lockdown .
No jobs , no schools , no small businesses , nothing.
Care is taken about people who are working in government sector , they are going to be provided with some amount of salary , that too in only some countries.
The small owned businesses are suffering greatly.

I myself was travelling to a small town nearby and saw a person crying , he had to pay banks , pay for his 4 kids , had a family to support but due to lockdown he had no source of income.

I do introduced him with the idea of bitcoins , how he can with some investment try buying , I even told him how he can earn a little through the campaigns , since something is better than nothing .

I do think Bitcoins is helping more than the government itself for a normal person , I am using my bitcoins selling them timely so that I can pay my rent and everything because jobs are all closed.

Bitcoins right now is the only thing that is supporting some people during the time of Quarantine  .

How the signature campaigns are still being managed efficiently is amazing 🔥

This is just an appreciation post <•>
Feel free to share how bitcoins is helping you during the lockdown.

I guess since I have an investment in bitcoin I could easily use my investment for emergency funds since there is a lockdown there will be no jobs and we need to make a profit using bitcoin it might be possible by investing.

Also, I think as a digital currency I think it might be useful to use it as a payment method since physical money might cause the virus to spread because the virus might be in your physical money. On the other hand, I could focus in the campaign here in the forum since this might the online income that I could make at home.

Thankfully it was free right?! Tongue

Thank you for waiting and I'm sure they will show up.  There isn't any tracking number or anything like that.  No customs forms etc.

Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Sounds fair to me I can't complain.

Thanks! for the update  Smiley
2575  Other / Meta / Re: Google reCaptcha sucks on: April 19, 2020, 11:03:33 AM
tdlr; stay logged in because logging back in is a pina.
It's also much more of a pain in the ass if you are Tor browser or VPN fan. There is some degree of hatred towards Tor browser by cloudflare.
I've tried logging in to an unsecured computer or a rental computer and download the tor browser just to make sure.

This Google reCaptcha plus slow internet speed would annoy you for real, but I guess google is justs having its safety measures and avoiding the log-in of bots on the website so for other security reasons this is useful.

2580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know is someone real and trusted for Bitcoin trading? on: April 18, 2020, 05:51:41 PM
My Question Is, How to trust someone in Bitcoin Transaction?
Lots of people offering Lot's of things but whom to believe and how Huh Huh
If you're talking about the forum I guess this is the best feedback where you could relay to know if someone is trusted.

There is no way to be sure someone is trustworthy, but taking a look at a users trust profile can provide some information about the users trade history in the past, to know if transactions held with other users went perfectly. But this cannot guarantee you to trust that user, and for example some users do not have any trust feedback in their trust page(no negative or positive) so just use a trusted escrow service in the transaction, that is the only way imo to be sure you'll not lose your funds.

For sure most likely someone with a lot of positive feedback about a transaction is the one that you could trust just basing on his feedback, you should still be careful making transactions to someone else.
Look for someone trusted here in the forum that could do escrow here are some recommended bitcointalk escrow.

In Bitcoin transaction trust is not safe. Just protect yourself and get a reliable escrow in your transactions
You can find some escrows here. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

If you're not talking about the members here in the forum or just random people online theirs no way you could know.
