2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBER will start to transact with Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2021, 05:25:18 PM
It's good news on the Bitcoin side again, probably the reason Bitcoin price now pumped again because of this news right after Visa and Mastercard announced that they opened a new form of payment with cryptocurrencies.

Technically, I don't understand yet what is the best solution for them about the high fees of Bitcoin and it will take time to be confirmed.  In this case, it might be abused who knows how to send a small fee that might drop on the Bitcoin network, probably there is a form of currency that you can purchase using Bitcoin and then use as a payment in UBER, IMO, I have been speculating because ain't know the best solution for this.

Knowing the fact that when someone using Bitcoin will become popular like Elon Musk and his Tesla company, but he is depending on his self.

2562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase vs Coinbase Pro Question on: February 11, 2021, 04:47:52 PM
It's totally different from the fees and the purchasing of Bitcoin.  Coinbase.com is a wallet that you can also buy Bitcoin directly to the Coinbase company or even selling to them, that is why the fee is quite high.  While Coinbase Pro is an exchange, where you have transactions with other traders or users which is a buying or selling point at the same platform.

Theoretically explanation IMO, Coinbase is making a lot of money from new investors with a huge fee knowing the fact that you can able to use your debit card when you're funding your account while the Coinbase Pro isn't.  That's why when you've bought Bitcoin on Coinbase, it's faster and quite high fees.

Anyway, good thing that you've to open your Coinbase Pro and now you may start trading there.
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trading app recommendations please. on: February 09, 2021, 11:43:35 PM
I will suggest trying this Coinomi app since assuming that the local exchange fee as for now is quite high than this.  Why not directly send your XRP from Binance to other platforms that you want, is there any problem if you will try this?
I wonder which exchange you've like since Binance as of now is the leading exchange among others.

Good thing that you decided to pick an altcoin that has the cheapest fee because if that is on Bitcoin and Ethereum, that cost only by the fee.
It might good if you're looking for a local exchnage that supports XRP, easy to trade or exchange into fiat.
2564  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you need a big amount to win or invest big if your not a billionaire? on: February 09, 2021, 05:57:43 PM
IMO, this isn't for the middle-class investors, this is for the big companies that willing to adopt Bitcoin as a mode of payment and treat this as an asset as well.  If you invested back then in 2016 or in 2019 when Bitcoin reached $3k price, you're good and surely become rich as of now.

If Bitcoin at this day was able to fold for how many times in having profit, probably it would do the same in the feature.  So, therefore, investing for long term purpose is a good decision in holding Bitcoin.

What do you think? Do we need a big amount of investment to get a big win?
The same answer, just invests or put money on what you can afford.  Much better if you have investment, never put all your eggs in one basket, if you want to give a try in tesla, you can do the same with Bitcoin.

2566  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best bitcoin wallets on 2021 [Andriod] on: February 09, 2021, 05:27:22 PM
Adding hyperlinks to the wallet names might help.
I tend to agree and to avoid misleading into a fake wallet seems like what OP said, direct to the official site and don't rely on the Google Playstore.

There are tons of android wallet that didn't include in the OP, whatever it is, we should always be careful using android wallet since they are prone to risk like easy to steal your private key information and steal your android phone and brute force your wallet just to get your coins.  Here is my tips if you're the one who uses this.

  • Never forget to set a pin code protection or security protection in your android wallet and at the same time in your android phone.
  • Don't save your private key in your android phone, keep it in a safe place.
  • The last one is, never store large amount, cold wallet much better.

In addition to your list.
2567  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone still using CEX? on: February 09, 2021, 05:01:11 PM
IF XRP lists on CEX change your crypto to it and withdrawal your payment from it.
Bitcoin withdrawal will cost you many fees and they may not have enough bitcoin on their hot wallets.
I would do the same as your suggestion if OP has a local wallet that supports XRP that easy to exchange fiat, this is my option when I want to withdraw my fund on exchange and I will not withdraw it using Bitcoin since we know that it has a terrible fee (it might now the fees around $8 above).  Trade into an altcoin that has the lowest and fastest fee, like for example, XRP, LTC, or DOGEcoin if there is.

BUT, if OP wants to hold Bitcoin and transfer it into his main hardware wallet, that has a problem.  You might close your eyes and blindly accept the fact about the fee knowing that there's a high fee.

Minimum withdrawal + fees are very common on an exchange, choose wisely a better exchange before depositing your Bitcoin.
2568  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to tell when a trading bot is a scam on: February 09, 2021, 04:01:51 PM
I tend to agree with those mentioned by OP above, but IMO, I'm not against this auto trading bot, they will remain as a helpful tool in trading with proper use on it.  Why you've used a trading bot that didn't well known, didn't have a reputation, and most especially have a free service offer or very cheap subscription, they will most likely scam.

Actually, this auto trading bot tool has pros and cons that we must be considered before using it to avoid being a scam of course.  The cons might you will have a problem if you didn't aware this like, mechanical failure or system error and might be performing poorly.

However, I will not suggest if new traders will use the trading bot, which is very risky for them how to operate and this might lead to a scam.
2569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys 1.5 BILLION worth Bitcoins !! Good or Bad ? on: February 08, 2021, 11:38:44 PM
IMO, I consider for now that it's good news and surely this might be the cause again that Bitcoin will surge price in the market and create another ATH which is my presumption is $50k within this month and most like rumored by some predictions.

I can't give some assumption in the future what will possibly happen, as long as Elon Musk helps the entire crypto give awareness from other investors and also might in institutional investors.  And probably more other private business sectors will follow the same as what Elon Musk did to accept Bitcoin as a way of payment.

He once gave a negative comment on Bitcoin last year on his Twitter post.

2570  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much would you say one could realistically make a month trading? on: February 08, 2021, 05:36:46 PM
It's totally different if you're a full-time trader compared to investment for the long term.  You're very lucky if you bought Bitcoin back then when the price was $6k, it will be folded so many times your profit.

That's good enough to play the market with, you can choose different cheap altcoins to invest but of course, it's more likely risky than holding your Bitcoin and wait until when it will be doubled the price.

A bull market is the true happiness of most holders but if you're planning to invest, it might need perfect timing because every now and then, there will be a short correction.
2571  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I lower bitcoin network fees? on: February 08, 2021, 05:08:16 PM
I didn't see that Replace By Fee option on blockchain wallet
Unfortunately, the web wallet that you've used didn't support RBF, in that case, you've nothing to do is just to wait when it will be confirmed.

We told you earlier that if you want to have a fast transaction you should put high fees or the required amount on the mempool.  I don't think when it will be confirmed, it seems the mempool network now was loaded, and a little bit of traffic.

14 sats per bytes is quite low fees, it's either will drop on the network or else, it takes few more days without any specific time frame when it will be confirmed.  You should know these consequences before deciding to put lower fees.
2572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to learn and keep up to date on the best alt coins? on: February 08, 2021, 04:51:21 PM
Be careful in joining social media groups such as the pump and dump group because sometimes they might misleading their members in selling targets and might you encounter losses if you keep following those kinds of groups.

If you want to keep up to date those projects that you think there's a potential to have a profit, you can join their social media as they mentioned above.  But if you think there's a way how to know when those altcoins when it pumps, the pump and dump group I mentioned above will most likely know everything but only on those selective altcoins they want to pump and then dump which is very risky to join.

I would recommend being active in this forum, people here are up to date in different news and OP will get different ideas in which project has potentially good for investment and also can be warned which scam project.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria government did not ban bitcoin on: February 08, 2021, 03:53:14 PM
It seems this was still good news for Nigerians that they still able to hold and used cryptocurrencies.  I remember this when China banned cryptocurrencies and suddenly they changed their mind and accept it again and lifted the restriction.  Just because probably they'd realized that Bitcoin is no really harmed or threat to the government because they can treat this as an asset.  But yes, the problem is when it comes to cash them out their assets, it will surely need local centralized exchanges for it.

For those who didn't know any alternative ways of cashing their money out from exchange without knowing or linking in any banking systems that connected to their government, that's might a problem for now.

I have doubt that time will come they will be lifted this restriction.
2574  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Don't trust web wallets, don't trust exchanges, then where to trade? on: February 07, 2021, 04:42:45 PM
No one knows when exchange will be hacked, even if you risk and leave funds on exchange for some hours, there is a chance that it will be hacked and your funds will be stolen.
This is the reason why we should choose a good and reliable exchange to trade, if you're deciding to trade, you must know those consequences waiting ahead and risk is a part of it.  Upon choosing to exchange and deposit your fund as capital, it means you already trusted them for any cost, for better and for worst. Cheesy

How many exchanges offer this service? (SAFU) Secure Asset Fund for Users , I think this will have a guarantee to traders to have a safe fund, but it doesn't mean, leave your fund and let sleep on the exchange.  After trading, don't leave your fund on an exchange platform that you have used, if you will see net profit was there and already covered by the withdrawal fees, you can withdraw them all.

So basically, we shouldn't leave fund on CEXs and custodial wallet, the line that you've used, Not your key, Not your coin is a great warning to all newbies who wanted to join the crypto space.
2575  Economy / Services / Re: Make Crypto GIFs and Memes for a living. Let's talk! on: February 07, 2021, 03:49:28 PM
If you are willing to pay Bitcoin or USD, you can move this into the service section, I saw threads that offering such kind of service but most of them are newbies up to member rank.

But wait, you can try to contact @cabalism13, I can vouch for him as a good community managing or look at his thread.  However, I tempted to offer my service but I don't have enough knowledge on making GIFs and Memes, only managing the community.
2576  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why i get negative trust? Where is my fault? on: February 06, 2021, 04:47:32 PM
I think leaving a negative feedback on your profile for such matter is what any member would do.
No, not in that way.  I appreciate your hate towards plagiarism but that isn't an accurate way of leaving feedback or how the DT system works.
Just report the plagiarized thread to the MODs and let them decide what punishment and I think most likely a permaban for that offense.

Look at the link shared with LoceV above, that's how the DT system works and quoted what theymos said about leaving feedback.

2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man arrested in Germany keeps $60 Million dollars in Bitcoin from the police on: February 06, 2021, 04:01:32 PM
I'm just curious too how did they ensure that the fraudster can't access his Bitcoin, they don't know if that fraudster has backup seeds on that wallet and it seems they don't know how Bitcoin works.  Look, the fraudster didn't give the password because he knows that someday he will be able to recover and use the Bitcoin mixing service to untraced the transaction.

Probably one day, the confiscated amount of Bitcoin might transfer into other wallets.  I don't think the word "confiscate" is accurate to this, since the German prosecutors didn't own the keys, it means they don't actually hold the Bitcoin.  Unless, if the police will order all exchange and mixing service to block the Bitcoin address where Bitcoin was stored and marked scam address, there's a chance maybe that the fraudster can't access his Bitcoin.
2578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quick Trading Pattern Guide for Newbie traders on: February 06, 2021, 03:40:46 PM
If you are not the person who draw the charts in OP, you need to use source link of those charts. It can be from a website or a book.
That pattern comes from here and OP may be accused of copy-pasting or plagiarism since he didn't include links.
https://www.quora.com/What-is-a-bullish-reversal/answer/Kenneth-John-McPherson
or here, https://in.pinterest.com/pin/720153796651221555/

Archived for you.

BTW, I don't understand the chart, it would be better if OP includes some explanations and of course, the source where this chart comes from.
2579  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor with ERC20 tokens on: February 06, 2021, 03:27:04 PM
Yes, you can use your Ethereum wallet to relieve the ERC20 tokens, but first, you need to use third-party wallets and services just like;

As what above said, custom the token on the using the third-party wallet and you will be fine.  But for me, isn't good to use a hardware wallet for ERC20 token, IMO, much better if you will use a disposable wallet like MEW, I've used this wallet for many years until now I didn't experience any issues as long as you must save the private key.
2580  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I lower bitcoin network fees? on: February 06, 2021, 02:24:06 PM
Guys I don't understand technical things....
I can wait 1-2 days for transaction to be confirmed.

https://mempool.space showing 13 sat/bytes need 30 minutes to get confirm...

I'm using https://www.blockchain.com wallet.
If you can't wait for how many days for your transaction to be confirmed, use the two options on Blockchain.com.  From the Transaction Fee button, scroll down and you will see there are two options the Regular and  Priority fees.  I recommend Regular fees since it is confirmed only a few hours since you can't wait 1-2 days transaction.

But if you really want to save fees and willing to wait for how many days, even 13 sats fee per bytes.  Just click the Customize Fee on the screen and enter the desired amount of fee but a long time to wait.

Is there any chance of stuck or not return?
It was fully explained by @tranthidung above, there's no chance that your transaction will be stuck forever, it should be confirmed for days for the low fees.  Or else, it will be dropped by the network and return to the sender's address.

IMO, better to use open-source Bitcoin wallets, not a web wallet like Blockchain.com.
