the history of technology shows that not always the best technology finds its way to mass adoption. we are still driving around in cars with combustion engines invented 2 centuries ago.
Yup and the only reason we are still driving round in ICE cars is that the big businesses pretty much stamp out any attempt to use the better technology. In the early 1900's there were more electric cars on the road then ICE cars.

As a person who bought around $5 and then sold a fair chunk the day after $1200 Im sure the OP has his fair share of wealth. Nobody knows his age or other circumstances so its impossible to really see it from OP perspective. If hes a young 20 something then I would probably say fuck it don't sell at low $400's not after riding the waves already and making a tidy profit. However if OP is later in life with dependents then depending on the amount of wealth bitcoin has given him then he could live out the rest of his life very comfortably and not leave his dependents with a volatile beta experiment to deal with...

Satoshi knew what he was doing with the confirmation times, its a great balance between speed, orphans and importantly space. Yes I know HDD memory isn't expensive but massive blockchain does cause problems. Look at the rate of growth of some of the fast confirming coins blockchains and imagine the size of them in 10 years if they grew in transaction size to the point of BTC.

Nothing feels better than checking your watch only online wallet safe in the knowledge that there is no perceivable way for someone to steal those from you. No other third party and quick and easy to sign offline transactions. Certainly beats trying to find the faded bit of paper with a plain text private key on it. I just cant understand how people can be comfortable with one or two web wallets.

im wondering if nows the time when few years down the road people would be saying on hindsight.. darn should have bought it then when its so darn cheap..
Apply this to almost every point in BTC's history. Thats all that matters as a hodler.

As a true believer though, at what point do you buy back. These people maybe buying your coins but your going to want them back if the price keeps rising. If your thoughts are well its pure profit and your not looking to put it back in to BTC then this is a weird time to be doing that.
I already said I'll buy back some to defend The $400 wall and I'll save some fiat for the plunge to $266 support if it falls. I am a true believer, but I made some dumb-ass trades and I might be a dumb-ass for being a true believer also. Nah not a dumb ass for being a true believer that's for sure. As one of the earlier guys I'm sure your early true belief has changed your life in some way for the better even if it was to all end here.

Firstly thanks for that analysis Raize, I'd be interested to hear how you felt about the general sentiment during the bubles you experienced in comparison to today? I dont think bitcoin can just sit idle for another 2 years, to many businesses are being built for it to just lay their idle, something has to happen, for good or for bad..
Exactly, what the previous bubbles have also shown us is a decrease in time from one to the next. I honestly believe that there is more money to be put into BTC now than around the early november 2013 price, its just all jostling for a good entry point. People always spout of about how a $50 price difference doesnt matter but what they always fail to mention is that a price difference now compared to in the future should be expressed as a percentage. Yes $50 less now might not seem alot but as a percentage of the current price ($450) its almost 10%. At $10,000 BTC thats $1000 per coin, quite a big difference. Thus many people are looking for that perfect entry point, leading to the coiled spring effect.

You don't need new money to rally, you just need people to stop selling and all the previous seller to want back in, pretty simple really.
That will only cause a recovery somewhere into the previous trading range. That isn't actually going to push it to rally into new highs without any new money coming in, though it could lead to the new money coming in. Agree but OP is asking wheres the money going to come from to rally BTC not create ATH. If you loaded up around $400 and it rallys back to just under ATH lets say $1000 then your going to be pretty darn happy, no ?

Nice head fake.
Poor bulls been in solitary confinement for months, any peak of light they're doing jumping jacks. You can go back to your corner now.
Meh, I'd call it a good couple of days trading while being bullish. An increase of $50 with three nice peaks to sell at = a tidy profit for a couple of days trading.

epic greed on btc-e, where do those that just bought at 450 think the price is headed?
up yeah no doubt, it would want to go up another 15-20 bucks (which it might) for that risk to pay off So whats your point and how is that epic greed oh master trader and future teller?
