2562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Stellar Lumens a good investment for long term? on: October 16, 2017, 08:19:18 PM
You just need to check the history of the founder and everybody that is advising this company. It is a great team. The founder of Stellar have created eDOnkey, Rippple and help ther founder of Mt Gox.

For the newbie saying it is a new coin, No, stupid. It was created in 2014.

And the advisor team has the founder of Strip, Patrick Collison, the founder of WordPress, Matt Mullenweg. Sam Altman, Naval Ravikant and others.
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Kyber ICO on: October 16, 2017, 08:00:54 PM
i did not get the ico and was sad but still a great coin. bittrex does not add any coins at the moment i think because of the SEC troubles

Do they not list any new coins in general or just at the moment?

They list new coins. They do not list every new coin. Anyway, you could use Binance and EtherDelta before they list. Because soon will worth 10x more.
2564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / IBM's Stellar Move: Tech Giant Uses Cryptocurrency in Cross-Border Payments on: October 16, 2017, 05:30:17 AM

Big Blue is making what could be considered its first public foray into cryptocurrency.

In the kind of unveiling that can only come before one of the biggest events in global finance, IBM is revealing today at Sibos 2017 the results of a partnership with blockchain startup Stellar in which it successfully settled real transactions using the company's custom cryptocurrency, lumens.

While currently limited to cross-border payments involving British pounds and Fijian dollars, the early-stage platform is nonetheless designed to scale to handle seven fiat currencies in the South Pacific – including the Australian dollar, the New Zealand dollar and the Tonga pa'anga.

Perhaps the platform's most distinguishing characteristic, however, is that the project showcases how private and public blockchain technologies are increasingly being used in tandem. While IBM's blockchain solutions are designed to complete much of the workflow around transaction clearing, the actual settlement will be conducted using Stellar's blockchain.

In this case, Stellar's lumen serves to digitally connect fiat currencies, allowing for nearly instant exchange without the consumer or buyer ever touching the cryptocurrency itself.

Stellar founder Jed McCaleb told CoinDesk:

"When trading between multiple currencies, it helps to have a bridge currency to reduce the ledgers needed to maintain. Lumen provides that single ledger that can bridge currencies."

There isn't so many exchange where you could trade. So, people that want to dump to take profit from ICO is willing to accept a lower price.

2568  Economy / Speculation / Re: BETI: Bitcoin Exponential Trend Index and technical analysis on: October 14, 2017, 04:21:38 AM
Last time it was positive we have a little crash. And then a big one.
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the future of TRIG on: October 13, 2017, 06:07:08 PM
Sell now. Everyone that looks more to the founder and code would never invest in that coin. They have some whales that put money to pump the coin and every time the crash is bigger than the pump.

They pay some people to promote and manipulate the price. I didn't ever find a public statement from the advisors about the company.

70 million on Bittrex in one day. WTF. Someone decided to trade BTC before the fork and pump this coin
2571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: October 13, 2017, 04:36:37 AM
it is all Red https://coinmarketcap.com/#BTC

I think is time to buy more. Bitcoin Gold will be a disaster. The thing would be with 2x. If 2x just give-up, BTC will go to 10k before December.
2572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: btcgold price? on: October 12, 2017, 11:59:17 PM
Less than 1 cent of a dollar. Nobody is supporting this. People only care about 2x fork. That could end up in a mess or put Bitcoin forever above 10k
2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Gold Fork Wallet on: October 12, 2017, 11:56:17 PM
Who will buy Bitcoin Gold? Nobody. Will worth less than potatoCoin

There are other examples of people that have done that. One of they is a Canadian. He has made a post here and has sell his home 4 years ago. He is rich now.
2575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold, Price Speculation on: October 12, 2017, 05:44:12 PM

2576  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: BitcoinWisdom.com - Live Bitcoin/LiteCoin Charts on: October 11, 2017, 04:13:03 AM
The owner should try something to monetize the site and then hire someone to update. It is one of the best and most recommended and yet is outdated.

2580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The fastest sold out ICO's in history! on: October 10, 2017, 10:14:27 PM
I think you could only compare if the tokens are sold in open market. Because sometimes they could organize to make this sold out a piece of marketing.
