1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction coming in the coming weeks? on: June 06, 2019, 04:17:38 PM
The situation is very uncertain, we can't say what would happen in future. Either it may go up and cross 10k, or it may go down to 7k again. The best way is to hold and observe the situation.

By most classical metrics, the chart is still bearish. The last breakout failed into the previous range, trapping lots of underwater supply. The dump came on high volume and price never got up off the floor....not even a .382 retracement of the entire correction yet! Price is holding below the 20-day MA without showing signs of getting back above.

So from "the trend is your friend" standpoint, we should expect more downside. Low $7,000s to upper $6,000s seems plausible.

The best hope bulls have is a recovery like late April: sideways at the bottom for a few days absorbing supply, then break above the range. If sentiment is right, FOMO will reappear on a push towards $10K.
I follow that same thought and I am placing purchase orders, long, up to 7100. If it gets to drop more than 6800, I will have to review my projections.  But I think it improbable, a sudden change would occur only if Bitcoin's dominance ceased, with a part of what entered the market via Bitcoins going to the alts.  I believe that after this correction, it will rise strongly to the 9k.
2  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The recent Bitcoin Doji "Death Candle" - Your thoughts? on: June 06, 2019, 03:05:18 AM
1 year ago we had a great fall. Many did not believe it was possible to get that fund. But the price fell, stabilized and fell more. I remember I made a short and then I reversed for a long and almost I was liquidated. But today I find it improbable to drop more than 7400.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC charges Kik ICO for issuing unregistered ICO on: June 06, 2019, 03:01:06 AM
This was expected. Several assets will suffer similar punishments. And many exchanges are already adapting to these rules than the SEC imposes. Honestly, this punishment seems reasonable to me since it is not really possible to acquire anything with this token. It was just a stupid way to raise money.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Fund on: June 05, 2019, 03:13:06 AM
I believe that there could be something like this, but not accept donations, but contributions from services that are offered in the forum and paid in tokens. Signature Campaigns, bounties, ANN, airdrops. Any such topic would pay a small contribution, a part of this would pay for moderation and a portion would be sent for donations.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin halving 2019 in 2 month on: June 05, 2019, 03:06:39 AM
I have sold everything that I have on LTC after CHarlie decided to sell what he have. I think it was one of the stupids things ever made by a leader of a project. And LTC is a little stupid. I do not see any real value. But... it appear that this halving would be the biggest bull run ever. SO I am thinking in buying some LTC.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Address 36png4nUpGkCrYnRXNR4PMSRFEgGadmh8S sent -25,160.31BTC to coinbase on: June 04, 2019, 01:10:51 PM
I think it's just a mere coincidence. Whenever there are huge transactions like this, people from everywhere are freaking out and that's the cause of the dump.

Everyone starts to sell and thinking that there will be a huge dump so they're doing it earlier before that transfer puts on sell order.

nah, because nobody is watching the blockchain ever to see these types of transactions so they don't even notice these types of movement. the only case when it comes to people's attention is when someone like OP finds a completely random big transaction and posts it on social media like this forum! and still that won't do anything to the price because it is not the first time something like this comes out.

I didn't found. I just follow whale alert and usually those movements could help in making a decision. It was hard to know to where the price would go after 8.5k. And when it would open a buy opportunity.
We are in the speculation section, and I am speculating about those big movements.
8  Economy / Speculation / Address 36png4nUpGkCrYnRXNR4PMSRFEgGadmh8S sent -25,160.31BTC to coinbase on: June 04, 2019, 01:14:47 AM
https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/36png4nUpGkCrYnRXNR4PMSRFEgGadmh8S

This address sent 25,160.31 BTC to coinbase a few moments before this dump. Was he the cause or did he have information about this possibility of correction?

9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Peter Brandt:$BTC appears to be stabilizing after the 12% break on Thursday. on: June 03, 2019, 09:46:07 PM
$BTC appears to be stabilizing after the 12% break on Thursday. I am willing to dip by toes back in the water

Apparently several analysts who predicted what would happen in 2017 are again predicting a rise to a little more than 9k, reaching 10k. But stability in this band for a long time. That is, it is quite probable that to buy in a fall can be profitable, even if it loses a small value momentarily.
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: Swarm Intelligence BTC Movement Predictions on: June 03, 2019, 09:32:58 PM

OP

I did not understand anything, what are people doing exactly?

They will collect individual opinions from this small group with the help of tools that use AI to attempt to predict market movement. It's a way to strengthen your opinion about what might happen. AI and the graphs have difficulty predicting variables like FOMO. Having a group of people who say their opinions can help you understand such a movement;
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip! on: June 03, 2019, 09:19:32 PM
I have no idea what price could be considered a dip at this point. $ 8500 is definitely not. But some might consider as it has passed the 9k. I'm a little apprehensive, if the price went back to 7k, I would buy it.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins long term Hodling sorting help on: June 01, 2019, 06:52:01 AM
This is not something easy to tell. I could say that Tron is some kind of scam. It is almost a centralized project with a lot of pump from Binance. But you could still have some profit and they could eventually build something that is useful.
13  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-31] Japan Hardens Rules for Cryptocurrency Storage and Trading on: June 01, 2019, 04:23:48 AM
That's is not a bad thing. Japan is showing they will allow companies to legally offer services of crypto storages and other aspects. Cryptos need to become a legally business
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi? on: June 01, 2019, 04:16:55 AM
Doesn't matter. The code he left is great. And people build a great code after he left. Bitcoin is better today without we know who he is.

All the other coins could fail if their inventor die or become crazy. Image if cw is the real Satoshi. He is just a crazy person that wants some money. We are better without know who he is.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "how to" of building a gambling site on: June 01, 2019, 04:13:46 AM
It would be better to buy a platform from someone that have build a gambling website before. It is something very risky to try to build a website where people will play in real time against your bank
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I LOST OVER 10 BTC IN GAMBLING IN 2018 on: June 01, 2019, 04:10:27 AM
If you think that's gambling is some kind of investment, you will always lose. Gambling is supposed to be fun and to be challenging. But it is not an investment. You should always think that you could lose a lot more than you will bet until one day you won something

Do you search for medical information about the players? Do you have any inside information about medical situation of injury players and other stuff like that?
19  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Re: Primavera no Bitcoin - Relatório Paradigma Capital (Recomendo) on: May 31, 2019, 07:28:56 PM
Eu praticamente desisti da ideia do Bitcoin como meio de pagamento. A rede tem uma enorme dificuldade pra se adequar a uma alta da demanda. E a LN não me parece tão espetacular assim. Estou começando a imaginar um surgimento de mais opções de pagamento centralizados mas com blockchain pra só então os meios decentralizados concorrerem com eles. A mudança para pagamentos digitais no mundo deve estar quase em 80% hoje.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: From Janitor to Millionaire on: May 31, 2019, 07:16:40 PM
Lottery tickets it is like take bad lucky from thousand people and giver their money to one lucky winner. You do not have any fun or mental challenges. It is just something random. Casinos is way more fun and usually will have to think in your next move. Specially if you like play cards like me
