SP-mod release 50 Mining quark

The non powered

http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=926&

Draws 40-45 watt. and does 5750Khash on standard clocks.

the powered (6 pin)

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4948#ov

draws 60 watt and does 5550Khash on standard clocks.

But if you reflash the bios to the black edition, the hashrate is 6100 and with overclocking I can reach 6500. (The gainward is not able to reach these speeds because it needs more power)

so 1 MHASH more with 15-20 watt more consumption.. But if you don't overclock you loose the 1MHASH

ASUS GTX750Ti 2GB DFseries OCed with 6pin getting same 6500 hashrate.
2562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: May 13, 2015, 02:16:11 AM

by 6 pin i meant the PCIe power connector that feeds additional power to the card, w/o it & with stock BIOS my card only uses 45W and is throttled after that. So i get low hashrate. Although i am fine with it. I guess with high temps i wouldn't want to push cards too much. hash/watt remain good.
My 750ti won't run without  the 6 pin connector.

There are a bunch of different manufacturers of the 750Ti. Some do, some don't. Mine will, but not well.

Really...now that's what I call a good pool op. Nice! Sounds like ya caused yourself more work. Sorry, but hey, it's part of the learning curve, right?

I'll still take that beer!

Thanks......cheers!

I think I have a bad controller card on one of my S3s. Can I use the card from an old S1?

Why do you think you have a bad controller? Don't know about an S1 card but I doubt it. Probably not the right interface. So...don't know. Sorry.
2565  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S3+ (BM1382) Overclocking with voltage setting on: May 12, 2015, 06:06:37 PM
hello

how i know the voltage is modified?
For 0,78v its just write 0780 in the voltage place?

That's alot to put into it, and you also need to set your freq (clock). I believe you'll get too many rejects, but you are welcome to try. So, you are correct..that would be a setting of 0780.

Good luck & Happy Mining!!

edit; if you go back and read a bit of this thread, all the info is in here.
2566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.6.1 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: May 12, 2015, 05:43:17 PM
Nope, can't do that in ccminer, not right now anyway. Sometime in the future. That was the problem we were all trying to get-around. Hence, the use of MC for now. I did just discover that the way I'm using it, it's the last pool in the .conf that it goes to first. But I haven't put nicehash back in to see if that affects it.

Not sure where MC is getting it's BTC price from. I was hoping for a way for it to switch to the 'coin-being-paid out'. No such luck, but that's OK. At least it restarts ccminer for me. I'll be doing more testing and fudging later. Trying to get an S3+ back on-line, right now.

Thanks

Thank you for all of your hard work Kano.  We greatly appreciate it.  And thanks for sending payments out.

Yes, many thanks kano...and what are your donation links? We know you and ck are hard at it. You should put those up from X2X. It's more beers for your beach cooler!! I'll take another. Can't do much until I get a break-out board so I can get this s3+ back up, so pass me a beer too. lol

Good work & good luck!!
2568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: May 12, 2015, 03:31:58 PM
Hmmm..would seem some biz is taking place.

always mate ...

these devs are doing awesome jobs - and if they help us mine better - they deserve to do deals ...

ive always been an advocate of it ...

work is always appreciated - and appreciation is always shown ...

im continuing the setup of the donation links this week for testing ... which means that there will be more than one way to donate to them ANYTIME by us miners by donating hash / mining time to them ...

the more that mine ( no matter how small the hashrate you donate ) - the better the mining - the bigger the donation ...

i hope that more miners like us here will donate that way to help these devs develop better miners and optimize existing and future algos ...

Smiley ...

#crysx

AMEN to that...and I know EVERYONE tries to do their part. Keep it coming devs and there's more beers in the frig! (just don't take my last one)
2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.6.1 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: May 12, 2015, 03:23:36 PM
Will do, but have a couple questions. Not biggies but just wondering, the currency exchange is tracking BTC prices with a multiplier (I think)? Is there a way to get it to track the 'coin-being-mined' price instead. ie. LTC.

Next, arranging the different pools in the .conf doesn't seem to use any order as to which pool it starts mining. Is there a way to give each pool a priority? ie. I want it to start yaamp mining quark as my LTC coin first. How do I let the program know that. Putting that one first in the .conf doesn't mean it tries to start that one first. It seems to want to go to nicehash before any other. I'm sure it's coded that way but unless I delete all references to that pool (nicehash) from the .conf, that's where it seems to start.

As I stated...it's not a biggie BUT......it would be nice. I'm just glad I got it to do what I wanted. Now I haveta figure out how to attach a file to a post in here...lol. I'll figure that out and put up my .conf as an example. It actually wasn't difficult once I understood what MinerControl was doing. I've just been having a bad last couple of weeks. Senior moments!

edit; Oh...and is there a way to adjust the column width?

Thanks sambiohazard. I wanted to know how I was doing. Not sure what a 6pin is? I have this one OCed and am using the switches. Guess I'm running good. I do get 6.4 but, once in a while, it crashes the driver. Pretty cool tho, MinerControl keeps going. Of course, you only mine at ~1/5th of the hash.

Thanks again

edit; musta missed something. Don't think those last 2 posts were meant for me. I don't think...

OK...gottcha. I do use that, otherwise everything is stock.

edit; heck...my bios is hard-coded so I can't change any voltages anyway. Highest bios allows is 1143mV.

hehehe...Guys...too funny, but true.

Now that ccminer is supposed to report a little truer hashrate, what kind of speed is everyone getting for a single 750Ti mining quark? Not  that important...just curious. I show around 6.3+Mgh miner side. Also, I'm using MinerControl (finally) and want to know if the version of ccminer that comes with it has been changed just for that program or is it 'stock'?

Thank you

GREAT job sp and friends!!

Whelp...never thought I'd be saying this....I think I mighta bricked my control board! Damn!!!
hey bud your talking about an s3 right? if so I got mine unbricked so if you want could help you with the process you need that usb i was talking about though.

Yup...getting ready to check fleabay. He's been outa stock but was expecting more this week. I saved the seller link you sent me. Thanks. Sounded like the best/usd to me. I'll let ya know. It was a stupid mistake. My fault.
2575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Miner Control 1.6.1 - Auto profit switching miner controller on: May 12, 2015, 07:09:17 AM
Yeah, I can. It's what I'm doing now but many of us get kicked off yaamp due to connection error time-out and wish to switch to a diff pool until we can do a reconnect. I guess I'm just too picky and don't like to sit here all day (or night, as it is now) and do restarts. Looking for a program I can tell what to do. Not one that tells me what I can't do. You did clear up that I can only get BTC from nice/westhash tho. Crap!

edit; nope a loop.bat won't work so no need to supply an example. I'm not the first with this issue. We have another whole thread for this. I was hoping MinerControl would take care of it...hmm..wait..it might still. Gotta try something. BRB

edit; THANK YOU< THANK YOU< THANK YOU...I did it! Cooking with gas now. Everyone...sorry it took me a bit to catch on. Now...on to another mess I've gotten myself into Ollie.
2576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: May 12, 2015, 07:02:22 AM
This is a deviation from the Stratum specification and should be fixed poolside - diff changes are to be enforced on the next work message sent where the cleanjobs parameter is true.

Pools don't always follow protocol.

Then they can get fucked.

Chuckle...love it!!
2577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 10MHASH CCminer modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernals by SP. on: May 12, 2015, 05:21:24 AM
@ bensam1231     In your bat file... if westhash goes down then nicehash takes over... but if nicehash then goes down does it go back to westhash?  thx

ccminer.exe -q -a quark -o stratum+tcp://stratum.westhash.com:3345 -u  -p x -o stratum+tcp://stratum.nicehash.com:3345 -u  -p x

Yes, it's failover. When westhash comes back up it should switch back to it, unless failover in ccminer is different from sgminer.

i thought ccminer had no form of failover bensam? ...

in fact - ive tested your setup - and it seems ccminer only picks up the second pool that you input and mines there only ...

sgminer has failover builtin ... we have both running in the farm - and only sgminer drops to failover when the pool drops ...

miner control or other packages ( all windows which we cant use here due to linux - as far as i know anyway ) are the ones that do that 'for' ccminer ...

would be nice if it was built in ...

#crysx

You didn't notice that till other people pointed it out, good catch on that one after the fact bro. Quit being a douche and move on already. I let you get the last word in and you went out of your way to do this again. You don't want to ruin the thread, don't start shit.

Me not responding to your earlier 'spiel' and then you going 'oh I'm good enough to not say anything else' right after you did was not you winning. It was me being the respectable person and setting things down and moving on, because I actually care if this devolves into a two-three page long bitch fest. Don't assume a lack of a response is submission, rather restraint and self control. Exactly what you were preaching, but couldn't practice.

In the batchfile I gave I had MM pools in front of the westhash pool and it fell over to the westhash pool, I didn't check to see if it picked up the MM pools after they cameback up. As per other people, apparently it wont swap back to other pools when they come up (although one person said it does on occasion). As I said I thought it was the same as sgminer, but it might be different.

bensam ... i wake up and go through each post as i read them ... then i post ... i dont read the WHOLE thread then go back ... too much time wasted ...

douchebag? ... well - i certainly dont go out of my way to do anything of the like to become something like that ...

i realized after reading the rest that i had posted a little too early ...

my mistake bensam - i didnt mean to offend you ...

it was more constructive that it was an attack - as you so clearly took it ... so once again - my apologies ...

im not here to attck anyone - just to be as constructive as i can ...

you're aggression is uncalled for and certainly not welcome - but i wont take offense ...

ill put my tail between my legs and take it on the chin ... there is no opposition on my part - nor am i trying to provoke ...

as for you 'letting' me get the 'last word' in - geez tanx ... im appreciative of that ... :|

it really DOES show how 'respectable' you really are ... nice one ...

stop thinking that im against you and that im just spilling my 'shit' here - and instead work with me as well as the rest of the community to sort things ... and stop the aggression bensam ...

im no genius - but it does not take one to work things out with the whole communities input ... SHEESH! ...

in any case ( and more to the point ) - ccminer does not have anything built in - its been conversed many times over previously and in other threads ... it would be nice if it did like sgminer - but its not built that way ... maybe one day some dev will extend it to that ...

apparently a batch file in windows consistently crashes on exit also - but that is of no real consequence IF the rotational batch works ..

im looking for a working batch ( working by means of others opinions and experience here - i dont use windows ) - because i remember in one of the threads that someone had a WORKING version of the batch for windows ...

minercontrol seems to be the one app that is always brought up ... maybe time to test with windows on a couple of machines on the farm and see ...

sp - would it be that hard to add a --failover or --load-balance ( like in sgminer ) option to your ( sp-mod) fork? ...

#crysx

Fellas...fellows..FELLAS!!! Wow,.... Gentlemen! Everyone...OFF the high horse and down to biz. Stop the 'bitch-fest' and let's try to find a solution. Can we? So far, and no complaints about previous attempts, a solution has NOT been found. We all are aware of that. A once in a while, isn't a fix. Heads together...let's find a way!

Thank You

AWWWW....no freakin' way...oh, yes way...I just bricked my S3+. Crap...there goes my main miner. Sorry...gonna be in limp mode until I get a break-out board.

edit; not that I was top of the leader board anyway.

edit2; aww...crap, I think I really did it! Thought I'd try a trick...no luck. Switching to that forum...but I am screwed!!!

1st post on this topic: there is 2 example and you didn't find one?
Or too lazy and just want someone to give a conf ready to go for your own setup ? Smiley

I'm gonna try this again. It could be that I have been misunderstood. Basically...look...I'm not a Linux, unix, redhat, cgWin, putty, or none of that kinda guy. I'm just a guy trying to have a little enjoyment in his retirement with this hobby. No need to be short. I get that it's really simple to understand for some ppl, but, you must understand,  not so for others. I fit the later.

I DID go in and look at the sample file, I HAVE read this thread (30+pgs), as well as a number of others, until my eyes bugged OUT. I AM actually very intelligent (and have picked up a lot of good information)...but I'm having the toughest time picking up on coding, of any kind. I just completely screwed up a piece of equipment and I ain't happy, right now.    (deep breath).  may I please get a working (operative word) .conf file.

I really want to choke the f'ing life outa this computer (and some 'o the rude commen...never mind) right now.

Calm....breath..

edit; all the APRAM this and SPRAM that is greek to me. I don't get it. What do I put before APRAM and SPRAM, or does it come after, and does it need quotation marks and commas or colons or semi-colons, etc. I'm not kicking the can here folks. I REALLY don't know what any of that means or what I'm supposed to input in order to get the correct output. May as well be latin, french, spanish...whatever....I need plain, simple English. Enter my pool, username, password, mining program, how I want the program to run. How hard can that be?

Sooo, plz...you open that 'example'_whatever.'conf' file, close your eyes (tight), spin around until you get dizzy, now,.... quickly look at your screen. That's what I see. A MESS! Further..don't you dare tell me to view a linux board...I'll hunt you down!! (I AM kidding, of course,...or am I?).
