if they do not understand how to speak and write in English or Pidgin, then it would be good to communicate here in other language that they understand. But, I do not think there would be anyone here that do not know how to speak and write in English and Pigdin.
Certainly, there's none among us here who doesn't know how to write those two basic language of communication in Naija

This is Nigerian Local thread substituting as a local board for us for the time being till we get an official board for ourselves. We all agreed that the languages on this thread are Pidgin and English. So why is this post written in?Huh
I thought the poll was like this:

English only
Pidgin only
English, Pidgin and other Languages

While people voted most for the third option.

I would have replied to kimkibu's post, but his post was not in relation to my area of interest and I was unable to read it fully and in details because it is also long as I am not interested to read it.

I go with your opinion, English and Pidgin connect most of us here. In retrospect, if that was what the poll was like, people that speak other languages can come up with something, especially if they do not understand how to speak and write in English or Pidgin, then it would be good to communicate here in other language that they understand. But, I do not think there would be anyone here that do not know how to speak and write in English and Pigdin.
It is our responsibility to pay attention to the activities that go on in our local thread. I don't believe kimkibu is Nigerian. A quick scan through his profile one can tell. He is a frequent poster in Turkish local board. I don't see the relation with Nigeria. And also this is the first time he's posting here
2565  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EndSARs: The movement for police reformed as a result of police brutality in NiG on: January 06, 2022, 06:50:31 AM
The END SARS protest seems to be one of the best events that happen in the year 2020 and it made the government aware that the Nigerian youths are not just dummies to be played with and that they have the right to fight against any injustice brought to them by the authorities.  REST IN PEACE TO ALL THE LEGENDS THAT LOST THEIR LIFE DURING THE EVENT😭😭 MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN THE BLOSSOM OF THE LORD.😭😭😭😭😭
I think you should rephrase your statement. "Best event" doesn't sit well with me not when you have been a victim of the horrors of SARS. It's makes my inside rumble think of the trouble we went through, marching the streets with placards raised high above our shoulders like our lives depended on it. And some of us lost their lives.  If you lost someone to the bullets that rained on the protesters at lekki toll gate I'm sure then you will not be excited to speak about "best event" that happened last year. The Endsars campaign gave Nigerians unity as we came together to fight na common cause, it exposed our leaders for who they truly are. It also exposed a flaw in how we think, I remember reading through the comments and young Nigerians on twitter were counting the days of endsars campaign hoping it would last more than 30 days then the UN would intervene. We would get "help and attention" from the international community. This made me realize that we are still slaves to our oppressors, seeking for greener pastures beyond the shores of our land. Our mind is chained even though our hands are free..our thoughts are caged so we can't think outside the box. Our voices are loud but never heard. Nigerian singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy made a song "Monsters you made". We lost brothers and sisters to the police brutality. Do we even know their names? Do we attempt to immortalize them? No We have been taught subconsciously to hate ourselves and tbt until we start acting free we will be slaves forever.

2568  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EndSARs: The movement for police reformed as a result of police brutality in NiG on: January 01, 2022, 07:45:17 PM
It's unfair after all the movement and the sad events that took place last year during the #ENDSARSPROTEST# the security operatives still continue in their pattern of harassing and brutalizing young people in the society, forgetting this young people can be their children and they are leaders of tommorow. The worst part of it the government see the youths as a threat and enemy all because they speak the truth and they are fighting for a better society. All I believe is that the effort of #ENDSARSPROTESTERS# won't go in vain.
I agree with you. Men in black still exploit and harass young boys everyday. Owning an iphone, a car or simply dressing good is considered a crime. The police run a quick 3 minutes investigation from the moment they see a young person by the point they approach you your case has already been decided. A yahoo boy they say. They demand huge sums of money and threaten to kill you if you don't comply. Nonsense has changed

  • PI Miners
use your phone wisely and stop wasting your time referring others to that platform.
I share the same sentiments with you about the pi network. Simply because some set of individuals in my country have turned it into a nuisance. And bring ridicule to the crypto space. They stay on their phone all day "mining" pi and referring others to join to mine. I think the pi Network is structured in a way that you have to make referrals to increase your mining hashrate so the cycle continues. A lot of people in my neighborhood will be disappointed if they don't make millions from pi network.
  • Loan for Bitcoin Purchase
For some, it was a money-making bonanza, but for others, it was a tiny loss because they bought practically at all-time highs and haven't drop significantly. A small loss may be easier to accept and find another means to repay your debt, but this is not the best strategy to acquire bitcoin.

As an investment rule "Don't invest more than you can afford". Taking a loan to buy bitcoins is risky. The "dip" you bought can dip further below your support level and you end up losing more than you can afford. This puts one in a dilemma.

As an Arsenal fan,we hope Arteta is sacked for the betterment of the team, because ever since he started managing Arsenal, they've been in shambles, there is no unity among the player, and they are all against Arteta's decision.

The reason Arsenal are in a mess is because the players are not playing with a happy mind, they simply want to loose so that Arteta will get sacked. They are not okay with his decisions most atimes,Arsenal spent more than any other club in the EPL this season, but Arsenal are still seated right at the bottom of the table.Arsenal need change of coach for them to do well in the EPL.
Arsenal football club is at a bridge of hitting low this season with the pattern of play they did portray after three games so far. Yes Arteta seems like a work in progress two seasons ago but it's now evident that things has changed in league following their defeat to Brentford at the opening game of the season. The availability of Conte is a big plus to arsenal if they can get him on board, I strongly believe things will change around London due to his previous title winning moments with Chelsea and intermilan, having Conte might take Arsenal to their glory days of contending and winning major titles but if they choose to stick to the whole Arteta work in progress scheme it could be a disaster at the latter end.
2577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: September 04, 2021, 07:52:58 AM
Maybe he starts this game on the bench. Or do you think he will be starting soon?
He won't spend much time training with the team. It's not that it's necessary for him, but it's always good.

It is possible that he might start on bench but I feel like he is gonna start because United right now needs a proper striker and someone in form and I think they are gonna right out start with Ronaldo in starting line up. Could be that Ole is gonna start like Martial or Greenwood at strike and later is gonna substitute him for Ronaldo. Still I think he is definitely gonna start in first team in 1-2 weeks.

It’s Ronaldo, there’s no way he’ll be on the bench. He’ll go straight into the team, he looks after himself better than pretty much any other player. He may have lost some pace as he’s 36 but he’ll play in Utd’s next game I think.
It is no tale that C.Ronaldo is a supergoal machine, in short Jose mourinho described him as a  nuclear weapon whilst he was still a playmaker at Juventus. Hopefully, there will be a turn around at old Trafford if C.Ronaldo is basically utilize to his fully capability. Him been a goal hungry striker will motivate upcoming players to level up their game. I don't see ole letting him relax on the bench after his beautiful comeback goals at world up qualifier and following the shambles game against wolves despite a lone goal win. Undermining Ronaldo effect will be detrimental to the team morale, the young lads needed a legend so active and there he is, put him to use before the games get tedious.
2578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 04, 2021, 07:44:57 AM

Grealish and Lukaku did have great performances at their previous clubs, so in the end they both became players with the most expensive transfer fees
this year well deserved. I hope that Lukaku and Grealish can directly contribute to their respective teams this season. Unfortunately for Mbappe and
Haaland failed to move this year, because both were not released by their respective clubs. Otherwise Mbappe and Haaland will break a much bigger
transfer record. There is one more name that was missed that could break the transfer record, that player is Harry Kane who also failed to move
this year, having found no agreement between Man City and Tottenham. But for next year only Mbappe can be obtained for free, after his contract
with PSG expires.
Players of lukaku and grealish were fortunate to hit the jackpot with the huge transfer fees to their respective clubs, following the games so far, one would say they have been so fun to watch with each assisting and netting goals for the new home clubs. We expect to see more active performance from them. Although same cannot be said for Mbappe, Kane and halland whose club couldn't get to agree with clubs gunning for their signatures this season but come January trust to see more rumored moves if these players are still at their best. It will be a thrilling thing to behold if it happens so.

So for coinlist its random investors chosen and theres no way to get more priority over others to buy the private sale tokens?
No there’s no way to get more priority than others. The sale mechanism ensures users placed in the waiting room are given a random spot in the queue when the sale starts. Users who arrive late to the sale will be placed behind those in the waiting room. From my experience securing an allocation  is very difficult because demand is very high. The site is usually congested on sales day and it takes a longer time to login.
Lets say round one private sale is 9 million tokens.

You mean investors who bought in round 1 don't get the full 9 million token straight away but instead get 3 million tokens each month starting from the 20th Oct 2021, then another 3 million on nov 20th, then another 3 million 20th dec? So the investors paid in full upfront for 3 separate later date deliveries?

There are usually two or three sale options Option 1- Option 3. Some token options have a 2 year linear release terms. Tokens purchased under the terms in each Option will be released at Least monthly or at shorter intervals. There is a limit to the amount of tokens one user can buy I think the maximum is $1000 per account. If you register for a token sale and by chance you get selected, delay in payment will result in a permanent ban
