2561  Economy / Speculation / 50 shades of kwukduck on: May 30, 2016, 03:32:17 PM
kwukduck is one of my favorite FUDsters. He is always FUDding no matter what, he gets 1 right prediction over 100 wrong predictions, but he never stops. Also notice how he goes from saying ETH is a scam to saying ETH will kill BTC because now fits his agenda to use whatever he can to attack BTC.

Let's remember some of his recent hits:

When Craig verifies he is Satoshi later today we will drop to double digits within minutes and not recover.

Exposing Satoshi, no matter who he is will almost instantly destroy bitcoin. Which i believe was the whole plan of Craig and Gavin in the first place. They will probably offer us a 'magical solution' once bitcoin and its economy are in ruins.

Problem-Reaction-Solution-Profit

It looks like the dumps are on again. Prepare for a wild ride!
Will we drop below $400 this time?

As more and more people discover that the implementation of SegWit only pushes the problem forward for maybe a few months, we can expect prices to plummet again.

And what's funny is, not long ago he was saying ETH was a scam:

Besides a hype. I would call it a scam.

There are only a few at coins that bring something significant to the world of crypto where bitcoin can still grow, eth is definitely not one of them.

I just hope all of bitcoin,  that means the main developers all contributors, miners and the community as a whole will work on making and keeping bitcoin strong by learning from others and acknowledging there are problems that need to be addressed.

Reading up on SegWit gives me some hope.

But suddenly now ETH will kill BTC:

ETH is quickly taking over crypto, nothing can stop it basically. It's superior in every way imaginable to all other crypto.
Haters gonna hate.

Bitcoin is crippled and with the rise of Ethereum it's soon to collapse conpletely by superior competition and because its destroying itself.

This is how FUDsters operate. Just no consistence whatsoever. One day ETH is shit, other is Bitcoin 2.0. One day segwit brings hope, other day segwit is nothing... Cheesy
2562  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over for the shills and bears - BTC market cap about to explode on: May 30, 2016, 03:27:35 PM
Lol this kwduck guy or whatever the fuck is typed, has gone from FUDding Bitcoin in all kinds of ways, to an ETH shill after realizing that all his predictions were wrong and the prices he was predicting never arrived. We are now way past 500 dollars and he deals with it by shilling ETH about how ETH will take over BTC, when ETH has been demonstrated to have unsolvable design flaws. I can't wait until the ETH hype is over, so I wonder what the FUDsters will come up with.

2563  Economy / Speculation / Re: $13,000 bitcoins by the end of 2016? $120,000 by 2018? (golden ratio fractals) on: May 30, 2016, 03:11:45 PM
I'm curious as to your thoughts here.  So much speculation these days is so grounded in reality: "Will we hold above $270?  What about touching $230 again?  Will we see $400 again?"

After reviewing the galactic archives it really does look a lot like 2012.  So let's just dream a little about the possible near-future that no one expects: a titanic rocketship to absurd levels that seem like god-damned delusions right now (just like $2 -> $1200 seemed absurd222 back in 2012).  Check out one TradingView user's wild speculation:

if you're being realistic, it's only logical to conclude bitcoin can not be this cheap forever.

21 million bitcoin

7.4 billion people

less then 0.003 bitcoin per person.

do the math yourself.

$400 per bitcoin is way too cheap.

like, 100~10,000 times too cheap. (depending on a lot of unknown factors, but either way, it's WAY too cheap).

The only realistic prediction is that in the next couple of years bitcoin will increase in price by at LEAST 100 times.

there's no other way. This is not just wishful thinking, it's math.

There are clear similarities in the OP's predicted chart course and what has actually played out in reality since the prediction was made.
Pay attention!!

yes because the OP chart had the right idea all along.

predictions like these are never 100% matches, but it's about the general idea, and that is quite spot on.

Those people saying $1000 is delusional are delusional themselves if they think it will be $600 for the next couple of years. That's just bloody ridiculous and impossible. As if millions of people will have the chance to accumulate infinite amounts of bitcoin for the cheap cheap price of $600 while the supply of bitcoin is not only finite, but VERY limited and about to become even MORE limited than it already is.

God some people are such idiots.

Bitcoin will not reach all the inhabitants of the planet, sure the more people get in the more it has value, but you have to take out al the old, the babies, the illeterate, thos who don't use internet, it's a big portion of those who live on this planet.
At best there are 500 Million potential bitcoin users all over the world, 21000000/500000000=0.042 BTC per user a realistic estimation based on this will be a price of bitcoin around the $3000-5000 in the coming years, but it's not going to happen overnight, it will take some time and some ups and downs.
Also don't forget competition from other cryptos that may get a good prtion of the users who will find bitcoin too hard to get and too expensive.

those 500 million people own like 80%~90% of the global wealth. So your calculations are invalid

and on top of that like the posters above me mentioned, there's also other things to consider.

Bitcoin as a store of wealth taking a large cut of the gold/silver market, even if it would take 1~10% of the gold market it would increase by 10 to 100 times.

Remittance market would add quite a bit of value as well

so many other things.

bitcoin is not just a currency.

Indeed, a lot of people forget that we don't necessarily need mainstream adoption to reach moon type of price, we only need a couple of whales figuring out the fact that Bitcoin is the ultimate store of value and the best way to keep your wealth out of governments that want to ruin your hard earned money with ridiculous taxes. Once they realize this, trillions of dollars will start flocking into the ecosystem. So stop waiting for mass adoption, we don't really need this, we just need some whales to wake the fuck up and move their millions over here with the winning team.
2564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do people around you think about Bitcoin ? on: May 30, 2016, 03:03:15 PM
The thing is people only pay attention to flashy things, so naturally, people will start paying attention to Bitcoin again once the price goes beyond 1K, then it will be all over the news and normal people will start talking about investing in mBTC. By then, you'll thank that you were one of the few involved in Bitcoin when it was still feasible to buy entire BTC units without going bankrupt.
2565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halvings on: May 30, 2016, 02:45:06 PM
Lost coins is unquantifiable. What if we start basing assumptions on what coins we think are "lost" only to later find out those coins weren't lost after all?

In my opinion it doesn't take rocket science to know that the supply is shrinking faster than most people expect. Lost coins is a very frequent thing, sometimes it happens in big amounts. You can go on Reddit and you can read how a bunch of idiots that don't take the required security measures are always losing coins. Now, add in all the unreported coin losing and you will see how people losing coins forever is a very frequent thing. This + halving = the total supply is shrinking fast and Bitcoin will continue getting rarer and more valued.
2566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Amazon.com still resisting the use of BTC for payment? on: May 30, 2016, 02:40:20 PM
They are pussys. They are scared to take the step, so they are waiting for all the big companies to do it first. Steam is already in the game, next will be Paypal as we have seen that they are already getting patents to accept Bitcoin, even Dogecoin may be accepted.

After Paypal, Amazon will be forced to deal with it and jump on the winning team.
2567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you like to hoard your BTC or spend it? on: May 30, 2016, 02:17:43 PM
It's better to hoard it. Bitcoin is too valuable to be spent on stupid things that you don't really need. To buy stupid stuff, I use fiat, because I don't value fiat. Of course sometimes im tempted to do use some of my earned BTC to buy some videogames, but I think twice and say fuck it, I don't need that shit anyway.
2568  Economy / Speculation / Re: $250 here we come!!! on: May 29, 2016, 03:25:00 PM
Damn, I recommend that you buy scuba gear. OP's tears may flood the entire forum now that we have doubled his FUD prediction and are on our way to 600's. All the FUDsters are getting blown out of the water. It was as easy as buying and holding, but I guess some people never learn.
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 29, 2016, 03:22:54 PM
Both teams deserved to win, it was an insanely close match, it all come down to penalties and back luck for Atletico. I think Atletico deserve to win because Real already has 10 cups and Atletico has none, it was unfortunate that they didn't win, it was probably Torres last chance to win a Champions. Lets hope they have another shoot next year.
2570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin halving almost there... brace yourselves :-) on: May 29, 2016, 03:16:36 PM
When we crush the 500 resistance in the next hours we will finally prove that the halvening is very real. All the doubters will have to deal with it and get in the winning team before it's too late. I guess some people will never learn and will keep waiting forever for Bitcoin to crash tho.

He he, good to remember that I predicted the 500 resistance being crushed when a lot of people were skeptic and saying that I was delusional to think 500 would be beaten with that ease. Well, guess what, we have beaten 500 resistance, and we have build a very solid floor above 500, the uptrend is very real now, only those that are still in denial stage aren't aware of this by now.
2571  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is over $8,000,000,000 in market capitalization for the 1st time in months on: May 29, 2016, 03:13:43 PM
what capitalization?Huh?? BTC is a hype. there is no capitalization in the true sense of this word Smiley

Huh, capitalization = total money invested in Bitcoin holdings, period. You are the one not making sense.
I can sell anyone one BTC right now for more than 500 dollars, and they will give me those 500 dollars, that's real life, not hype.
2572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Mentioned As Way To Make Voting Secure at Libertarian Convention on: May 29, 2016, 03:03:03 PM
Im 100% guaranteed that in the future there will be a way to vote on the blockchain, and it will be the bitcoin blockchain because all other blockchains are a waste of time and stupid, so this will make bitcoin known all over the world since most people vote, and it will be on the news once the new system takes place.
2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Banks Hates Bitcoin? on: May 29, 2016, 02:42:17 PM
Banks want total control of the flow of money, and Bitcoin provides people an alternative to avoid this ridiculous total control, which is why they hate Bitcoin so much, they can't control people's money, this makes them feel uncomfortable because free citizens can be dangerous for the status quo.
2574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future Of Bitcoin Changing The World on: May 29, 2016, 02:39:14 PM
Bitcoin will explode in value once governments get rid of physical cash, because people will miss a way to keep working outside of the government reach, this will make all that money outside of the system to come in the Bitcoin ecosystem. A lot of people isn't living on the street thanks to working for cash, and once this cash is removed, they will look for alternative, and Bitcoin is the only way out.
2575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: European Football Championship 2016 on: May 28, 2016, 01:45:33 PM
Well today we can see how spanish players will perform under a big final, this is a test to see if it's worth betting for spain in 2016, since a lot of the players there will be in the spanish team. Of course it's not the same as a 100% spanish team but some of the best players will be playing tonight so it's worth watching in order to know what to bet in the eurocup.
2576  Economy / Economics / Re: Why are Venezuelan not switching to Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2016, 01:22:41 PM
Most people don't know that Bitcoin exists, how can you expect that people in Venezuela, which are probably very unintelligent due years of getting brainwashed by their dictator, are going to suddendly understand Bitcoin and start using it as a way out for their communist nightmare? Unfortunately, that is a pipedream. Only the highest IQ venezuelans will get saved, since they will understand Bitcoin and use it to scape financial control.
2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs & Ethereum shill Fred Ehrsam claims Bitcoin dead and then... on: May 28, 2016, 01:20:26 PM
It's been proven a million times already. Since the very begining, when king Bitcoin starts going up, it just means that the rest of the altcoins are getting dumped in order to move to the winning team, and that's Bitcoin team.

By the way, what website are you using to check the Bitcoin price? that website reminds me of the old times, when MT Gox was still alive, the website I was using looked like that, but I cant remember what site that is.
2578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin halving almost there... brace yourselves :-) on: May 28, 2016, 01:18:20 PM

2579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what does paper wallet mean ? on: May 28, 2016, 01:10:57 PM
Usually a lot of people always forget to mention the fact that if you are not encrypting your paper wallet, it's a very unsafe way to store your coins. So if you do a paper wallet, always, always encrypt with BIP38, or anyone that finds the private key has all access to your coins.
2580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the advantage and disadvantage of Bitcoin? on: May 28, 2016, 12:59:42 PM
The biggest advantages is that you can store wealthy outside of the system without 0 possibilities of anyone else ever finding out if you know what you are doing. Also the fact that you can store trillion of dollars inside a pendrive in an undetectable way.

The disadvantage is that the price fluctuates a lot, but that is a given under free market conditions, so it's not really a disadvantage.
