2563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have You Been Scammed? on: December 04, 2017, 03:49:32 AM
I just came over from the 'Investor Games' subforum (hope I got that right). A guy there said he came across a site asking to double his bitcoin, he paid in $20 and got $40 the following day or so. He then went for a higher plan of $300 hoping to cash out $600 but they asked him to pay in another $300 before cashing out. He got confused and was asking for advice.

I think I've been there before. Before I became a forum member. I once came across one of those scam sites promising to generate bitcoins. Thought it was real, but when they asked me to pay some transaction fee, I was stuck. I had no money to pay the fee. With the benefit of hindsight, I know I'd have sent them the 'transaction fee' had I had the coins to send them.

Now, what have been your experience with internet scams?
How do we help people not to get scammed?

In the bitcoin world theres no doubt that it attack it by the many scammer because we know that the bitcoin is a digital currency and have a similar used to the money. It is uaed to buy everything but in online only but if yoy change it in to the fiat money rhe value of the bitcoin is still impressive and expensive, anf i am happy that i dont have any experience about scamming because ill be careful and think about what might come happen if the scammer is targeted me.
2564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin increase forever? on: December 04, 2017, 02:40:59 AM
Since the total number of bitcoin is fixed, so the value of bitcoin will keep grow, and it's price will keep grow also. So will there a price cap for bitcoin?
It ia awesome that the price of the biycoin now is still rising up and continue to rising but i doubt that the price of the bitcoin is forever always rising its price but its not impossible the bitcoin we know have a state of fluctuating so the value of the bitcoin is difficult to predict what might its value next werk or next month or next year but if the bitcoin have a good in the industry its possibke if the investmentof bitcoin is very good in the economica and the user
2565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan Teaches Western Governments a Lesson in Cryptocurrency Regulation on: November 23, 2017, 03:41:11 PM
https://news.bitcoin.com/japan-teaches-western-governments-lesson-cryptocurrency-regulation/

Quote
Bitcoin has been an officially legal payment method in Japan since April, when 4,500 stores began accepting the cryptocurrency, and leading financial newspaper, the Nikkei, tips that figure to increase five-Japan Teaches Western Governments a Lesson in Cryptocurrency Regulationfold by the end of the year. Japanese shoppers can spend bitcoin in a range of stores including electronics giant Bic Cam and bitcoin signs are displayed prominently, helping to raise awareness. BTMs – ATMs that exchange fiat for bitcoin – are scattered throughout the country, and there’s even the ability to pay utility bills complete with a special bitcoin discount via Remixpoint.

Following the Mt Gox collapse, in which the country’s (and indeed the world’s) largest bitcoin exchange liquidated, losing 850,000 bitcoins, Japanese regulators stepped in. Rather than try to stem the use of cryptocurrency, they enacted regulations which mandated exchanges to maintain capital reserves, keep customer funds separate, and implement KYC procedures. Meanwhile, many western governments have dithered over cryptocurrency regulation.

This week, Donald Trump’s treasury secretary issued his first public comments about bitcoin – and they weren’t exactly glowing. His primary concern was with ensuring that bitcoin couldn’t be used “for illicit activities”. He also invoked the usual canards that government officials are prone to uttering in the same breath, citing money laundering, terrorists, and the dark web. The only box the treasury secretary forgot to tick off was the one marked “child pornography”.

These accusations aren’t just limited to bitcoin of course. Cryptography as a whole is the bugbear of many western governments, with British and US leaders in particular expressing frustration that backdoors can’t be built into encrypted messaging platforms such as Whatsapp. Bitcoin is mercifully free from centralized attempts at meddling with code, but that hasn’t prevented governments from restricting entry and exit points from the fiat world. Officials haven’t lain the banhammer on bitcoin, but they’ve done little to support it.

Japan is a tech-savvy nation whose elected officials have a better appreciation of the Japan Teaches Western Governments a Lesson in Cryptocurrency Regulationtransformative power of emerging technologies than most. It follows that the more digitally-inclined countries should be among the first to embrace cryptocurrency. In Europe, Estonia, with its e-Residency digital passports, is another country that’s been positive towards cryptocurrency.

“Bitcoin regulation” can mean very different things in different countries. In Japan it means taking measures to safeguard citizens whilst encouraging the responsible use of bitcoin and enabling crypto companies to get on with business. In other developed nations, however, “bitcoin regulation” is a euphemism for “anti-money laundering”.
It is a really great news for the japan because they see the good advantage of bitcoin that's why they accepted it. This is the proof of like that try until you suceed you need to try if you have want to done becauae if you dont want to try there's nothing to happen. Tha japan ia a great example and now in their population is really a bitcoin user
2566  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 23, 2017, 02:51:05 PM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?
Yes the bitcoin community as of now is still rising and i know that someday it will become spread all over the world, in fact the user in each country was still rising and even in the japan almost 88% of their population was using this. I think the bitcoi ln was really good because of ita good benefit and have an expensive price
2567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: November 23, 2017, 02:58:41 AM
Bitcoins has regained its strong value, As of this posting, the value per 1 bitcoin is exactly 4786.59 US Dollar.   Soon we will see more ways people can squeeze the most out of bitcoins.   Since the advent of the internet to be profit oriented in the 90's, no one would possibly have imagined that the Internet would breed Facebook, Google, Uber, online streaming, etc. This is where we are with the Blockchain now. There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.

These opportunities have the unrighteous users of this cryptocurrencies to also used its advantage. We cannot deny for a fact that cyber crimes have been committed since the birth of the internet.  Once, stealing was done with having guns, now, robbers can easily hack bank accounts or counterfeit credit cards to their advantage.  Sooner, cryptocurrencies can be used to pay crimes such as services for creating counterfeit birth certificates and this is not far from happening.  Actually, the US has already cases on this matter.

Another is the crime of buying illegal-drug emporium that used Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, politicians and policymakers took notice. Criminals, it turns out, really like bitcoins, which can be exchanged for nefarious purposes on the "Dark Web," with complete anonymity and, it seems, impunity.

Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.
the bitcoin is involve with the crimes. in the online shopping and black market bitcoin is always used and sometimes it is harmful. because not the only ordinary things that can buy but illegal things like the parts of the body the parts of animal antique and old things but thaths not it. in one site in the online that called deepweb this is the shopping of the illegal drugs, illegal fire arms and have an illegal trafficking but in the worst case scenario people used bitcoin to hire a killer and make a torture
2568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: November 23, 2017, 02:24:25 AM
Bitcoin is growing very powerfully but in this present scenario which factors can destroy or make its market value Zero.
the only way to destroy i was draw in my mind when all country was unite to banned bitcoin. but nothing else can destroy the bitcoin and i think if the role of bitcoin in the industry and economy was gone this is the time will the bitcoin disappear or destroy because all things in this world have a limit even us we all die but i think its too early to destroy the bitcoin because we know that value of the bitcoin in the industry was very awesome and very expensive but we must prepared for what might come happen
2569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not be number one for long on: November 22, 2017, 11:28:46 AM
I thought for sure it would take until the end of 2018 but it looks like this summer ethereum might pass it up. With the turmoil around BTC potential splitting, it might be very soon. IMO this is healthy, we will always value bitcoin for being the one that started it all, but it's time for a more dynamic and adaptable currency to take the lead.
Yes i agree on you, because there's no permanent thing in this world all things will be done someday but the important is what things will done it is a great contribution in the economy and industry ? It will be a great role for the government and it will give a good memories to everyone. Maybe now the time of bitcoin but we cant sure how long it is
2570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: November 22, 2017, 04:46:07 AM
Bitcoin as a course or any related currency on web.
In my country we have multiple courses in computer especially programing and web developments. My course is also information technology, but i've never heard or learn about online currency as bitcoin. In present, and future studies is there any chances for inserting about it in education. In your country is it available?
It would be better for any country to adopt bitcoin in educating new generations. Instead of playing games and wasting money in surfing xxx sites.
I dont think if its good to the students that the bitcoin is teach in the college maybe its a good idea because the bitcoin now was really have a good benefit but we know that the bitcoin is not only used for one thing what if there's some bad people who used students to make the crime acrivity that involving the bitcoin it is difficult to analyze. The teaching of bitcoin must be limited
2571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto replace fiat money? on: November 22, 2017, 03:14:47 AM
I would like to know if cryptocurrency will replace fiat money in the future,  also if so how long it will likely take.  Also,  I would like to know which coin you think would take over if one will.  (E.G. Dogecoin,  BTG, LTC, XMR)
I dont think about that. Yeah bitcoin is really have a good benefit and still expensive value but i doubt that the fiat money will replace by the bitcoin because giat money is known by all over the world its like an international exchanger or converter. Bitcoin now is still spreading in alk over the world and some country still not legalize it and not allowed it.
2572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BItcoin end or destroy in this month?? on: November 22, 2017, 01:50:30 AM

2573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is illegal in some country on: November 21, 2017, 03:29:08 PM
the use of the cryptocurrency is illegal in some countries and punishable special at MOROCCO (North Africa)

Yes there are still some countries that the bitcoin is illegal. Because they think the bitcoin its have a high chance of rising up the crime activities and maybe the bitcoin they cant control it. If they allowed the bitcoin in their country im sire that the bitcoin is fast spread in their country because of its good benefit and their money country will ignore
2574  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your goals in 2018? on: November 21, 2017, 02:41:26 PM
Hello guys,

Currently many people buy and hold crypto currencies for many reasons.

It will be interesting to share your goals in 2018.

Mine would be to make 20,000$ profit then I would take back my initial investment plus half of the profit. The remaining half will be used for re-investment.

How's about your goal and plan?

It was a great year in the bitcoin now because it is really expensive ang still continue to rising up its price my goals in 2018 is to earn more bitcoin to make contribute in my money to make business it is not impossible now because if you have only 5bitcoun you will be a millionaire inghe price now and i believe that sooner it will rise up again
2575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 12:12:19 PM
I See topics about banning and I want to ask.

Is botcoin really that bad? To banned by other countries?
Do the other government in other countries see something bad?
Can bitcoin be used to locate us?and see what we are doing? In short a Spyware.

Why government does not allowed bitcoin ?simply it is because the bitcoin ia decentralize and no one can control it. Some government does not allowed it because they cant manipulate the bitcoin.plus the bitcoin can make the currency destroy if the bitcoin will ignore in their country im sure the bitcoi will fast spread
2576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: November 20, 2017, 03:54:28 PM
Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?
I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers
There's no safe in the internet even though your password is so strong in your account the ohter professional hackera will be on you. They ight be get interesting in you if your bitcoin is many. Even our house isn't safe when someone knows that you havr an many many money. Because if the money is topic there's many greedy people that make anything they don't care if it is bad or good doing.
2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8000+ is here. This rise has left behind lots of wounded... on: November 20, 2017, 02:39:01 PM
the $8000 was finally broken for the second time now and we are officially on the big ass rise now.

but this rise has left behind lots of wounded people who forgot to listen to advice of "buy in the dip" and were left behind.
right now so many of them are creating new accounts saying how bitcoin is going to crash and how it is all a bubble that it is starting to make me laugh Grin

anyways, enjoy the ride. see you at $10k
Lets be happy because the price now is still go up and up. But we can't celebrate because it might be come just in a week or month. Maybe next time the price is drop and we expect im sure many got sad and got panic and they think to sell their bitcoin in just cause. But i hope and we trust the bitcoin that anu problem must be survived and now the bitcoin is alive and have a high price!
2578  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin is soaring? on: November 20, 2017, 12:34:35 PM
Hi guys,
Just came  back from posting in bitcointalk.org, was wondering why Bitcoins price suddenly skyrockted ?
Thanks in advance for the answer...
maybe the reason why the bitcoin is soaring because there are many or new investor and bitcoin user so that the price is rapid changing to the higher.but we know that it is not continue. bitcoin is fluctuating so we must know that the soaring price of it is limited and sometimes it cause an negative when the price drop down the other was got panic in the price. but the soaring of the bitcoin when i do research and survey they said it because of the user and investor rich
2579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: November 20, 2017, 12:01:04 PM
Bitcoin has been proclaimed dead 89 times. It has been labeled a Ponzi scheme and a failed experiment. Writers have argued for it to be forgotten and for developers to move on to greener pastures. But moving beyond this rhetoric, it’s not all that difficult to compare the rise of bitcoin to that of another technology: the World Wide Web. http://blockgeeks.com/questions/what-is-your-future-predictions-of-bitcoin/#comment-604
as of now i don't see that the bitcoin become the money of all, but in the future, maybe because in the time of that i'll think all shop was in online and the technology and gadget will be modern and new as now. but before it that happen they need to defeat the fiat money because in most of the country all country was exchanging or trading in the dollar the currency exchanging . and they must defeat the other alternative coins to make the lead as of now the bitcoin is number one.
