2561  Economy / Speculation / Re: No FUDs will win the market on: March 02, 2022, 02:17:28 PM
Well, it would ultimately always end up losing in the long term, as long as the product or service is always on the right track that it was originally supposed to be. FUD, as the name states, is simply Fear and doubt, it isn't anything concrete or a matter of fact, but rather, speaking simply, fake news. Especially in a market like this where we've tested quite a few times in terms of FUD dumps and the like. Tried and tested so to speak, so people wouldn't easily believe FUD at this point. Still recommend for people to DYOR though.

I'm more on the stand that we'd see steady movement instead of recovery, marking its foundation at the current price range of $40k or so.
2562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever subscribe to any tipser giving sports betting premium picks? on: March 02, 2022, 12:03:02 AM
Does my friend trying it out, count? I wasn't really familiar with the price since I didn't ask, but he did update me one time to teach him the stuff about the Dota2 scene (since I mostly go for eSports) like the favored teams, and stuff like that. From that, I already knew he gave up on the tipster service he was trying out early on. Later on after all the teaching and stuff did he realize that he can do most of the decision making on his own, and might even be more accurate than the service he bought back then.
2563  Economy / Economics / Re: This shows Putin got the costs of aggression wrong on: March 01, 2022, 10:37:46 AM
I do not understand how Russia could still stand, I was expecting 1 dollar to become 500+ ruble by this time. Putin will use this wrongfully to show how "strong" they are, I am afraid it will end up badly.
I think it already ended up badly? Like I was sure Putin was trusting of how strong their army was, but well, results show that it really wasn't any stronger. From what I read about how it was described, it was something like a paper tiger. Putin probably overestimated his side and underestimated the other side. Pretty sure this war has brought nothing but losses to Putin's side probably contrary to his earlier expectations for the results of his assault.

Russia is probably gonna experience a huge shift after this, and most likely in a negative way.
2564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The state of Bitcoin during the war between Russia and Ukraine on: March 01, 2022, 08:58:58 AM
It wouldn't really change much? I mean, sure it may dip but I don't expect any huge changes related to that. Heck, the dips might even be just the usual market movement that happens every now and then. Even if it was going to dip (which I highly doubt already at this point in time), Bitcoin should be able to show good recovery since most of it would honestly just be FUD dips instead, might even go past the initial value if it ever actually dipped.

As for the Russian economy, They'd probably still be able to stand back up but it'd still hugely affect a lot of the citizens, at least in the short term. it still remains to be seen how the country would develop in the long term, it is based on how it would be lead.
2565  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 01, 2022, 06:57:05 AM
That's like saying to boycott every business that Russian produces. Kinda bad really, I mean, most of the ones that would be really affected by such things aren't the one that caused the war or the ones that favor it (not all), but rather the innocent ones who, well, didn't really have a choice but to be born in Russia. Sure, if the owners were pro war, then I'd boycott them but if not? That's just barking up the wrong tree. It's a huge mistake, especially if we really want to support not just Ukraine, but also the people that were hugely affected when they didn't even want to.
2566  Economy / Economics / Re: Sanctions left and right, Can the Russian economy survive? on: March 01, 2022, 04:30:49 AM
They probably would, but it isn't to say that it would be easy, especially on the lower class. The rich are probably prepared for it, there were some early signs that they could've used to stash their savings safely, plus they have the connections to make it happen. They'd survive alright, but it'd be pretty hard. I hardly doubt Putin wasn't prepared enough to experience this much sanctions when he started this, he probably expected more tbh. He wouldn't start this issue if he wasn't prepared thoroughly for it imo.
2567  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for March on: March 01, 2022, 12:53:38 AM
I sure do hope so. I was kinda debating whether I should start selling again and buy at the dip since I mostly DCA, but since the market just sustains the same pattern which looks like it's going to be stabilized on, I'd rather just hold really. I'd much rather hope for a steady sustainable market right now, I reckon the dip from the ATH from these past few months should be enough and we wouldn't be seeing any more big dips for now, unless ofc, the current situation evolves in a way that it would heavily influence the market, FUD or not.
2568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Watch out for cryptocurrency QR code generators, they're almost all fake! on: February 28, 2022, 06:51:35 AM
Well, you don't exactly need to use them? Pretty sure wallet addresses are enough and heck, much safer to use than generating a qr code. Plus, it has a much bigger guarantee in actually checking if it's correct since i don't think there's a way to see if the QR code indeed leads to that specific wallet. Plus, isn't it a hassle to even open up one to generate the code instead of just, well, sending the wallet address? That's pretty straightforward. And afaik, most centralized exchanges have their own QR codes generated by the site themselves, so no worries there, but if it was other than that, then yea, might be better to just use the wallet address itself.
2569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Crash in The Next 2 Weeks? on: February 28, 2022, 12:37:29 AM
I don't think so? In the first place isn't it kind of wrong to connect crypto to the state of the market, and even if we did we'd probably see only short-term effects due to FUD, plus isn't the US rather pro in crypto? Though it is heavily regulated, they have Bitcoin ATM's, exchanges etc. Plus, it's a single country, even if we do consider it's the US, it's still only one country.

And well, not to mention that "someone" saying it doesn't make it that credible. Let alone it being from Twitter (or any other social media tbh). Honestly, I'd ask OP to just stay away from there if you want to know what's going to happen, go read up on your own.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You Must be Over 18 years on: February 26, 2022, 11:20:55 PM
Most casinos only put those after you've registered, or rather ask for after. They don't usually ask it at immediate registration, since they want users to explore the site, understand the games, check out some stuff, and well, a lot of things. Nothing new really, it's also how some sites that in the end require you to do KYC end up doing. Plus, you still need a method to deposit money to them, if it were crypto casinos then it may be possible, but it'd be hard in normal online casinos if the user didn't know someone who'd allow him/her to use their card or bank account to deposit money.
2571  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: February 26, 2022, 02:47:15 AM
There was one thread here, probably a year ago can't really remember where one user reported his funds being locked due to exploiting something, when in reality what happened was that he indeed exploited something BUT the funds that were locked didn't exactly come from the exploit. Instead, the money he got from that exploit was used to play on something else, and he got really lucky, and he won a pretty sizeable amount iirc. The issue was resolved peacefully afaik, but I can't remember what the site was. The game was slots I think? My memory is failing me lmao.

The goud thing, though, is that the money used for gambling is supposed to be a money you can afford to lose and you are supposed to be aware of the risks involved.
On the other hand, I believe securing customers funds is mainly the responsibility of the casino. The least they can do is to have a hot/cold wallet setup. This way even if they get hacked most funds will remain safe and it won't result in their bankruptcy.
Still leaves a bad taste in one's mouth though. In any case, getting hacked always does that. Whether it's a big casino or us personally, just that in case of a third party holding our funds, we technically have someone to blame though afaik, most TOS indicates that they probably hold no responsibility for hacked funds, especially if the hack came from the user side themselves and not through their system.
2572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: February 25, 2022, 10:53:33 PM
The question is, what is that new technology that they should apply? The most common answer will be VR technology. It's a good and adaptable technology and it can be adopted by most casinos.
But it's true that there will be that won't be ready to adopt it and doesn't see the special thing within it.
And maybe, eventually, there will be more of these casinos that will just ignore it if there's no real demand on it.
But it's not worth the money for most users. VR is simply for letting you experience or view stuff from an irl perspective, but that's about it. Games would benefit more about it than gambling really. The process of gambling wouldn't really be changed, but providers would probably need to create something unique and great to actually use the capabilities of VR to their advantage. Probably a new way of enjoying gambling or something. At the moment, only table games such as poker or blackjack really benefit from VR, and it's not by much.
2573  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🥇 Crashino.com 🚀 Provably Fair Crash Games, Casino and Sportsbook ✌ No KYC on: February 25, 2022, 02:49:34 PM
Should I or should I not be glad that they don't have KYC but are not licensed? I mean eh, we can't exactly have everything as a user, but hmm, I'd prefer to have some level of KYC requirements but licensed instead of unlicensed ones. I mean yes, licenses don't necessarily give security tbf, they just allow you to create your own business (and they also add a lot more regulations), but still, it's a form of safe proof I guess? A lvl 1 indicator that says "yes, this casino can be trusted in the most basic level" kind of thing.

~
Checked the source and they have edited it and it's not showing anymore, they have not done their assignment they are in a hurry to launch their casino and, how can we trust a casino who is in conflict with what they are implementing and what they saying, but it's good to know that they do not have the same alibi like the other developer who's alibi is they have not yet edit the template because they just bought the template, it's up to the community to appreciate or judge the dev's action.
Just an assumption but hey who knows, it might not even be an actual template but rather something they'd change willy nilly in the future without informing their users. I mean, it's one way to damn their customers no? I might try a few games though, I like crash games after all.
2574  Economy / Gambling / Re: How To Access Sportsbet.io or any kind of gambling without VPN on: February 25, 2022, 10:44:27 AM
^ I have a friend that has been using VPN so a long time and he told me that VPN is good to cover your identity and also for the safety of your privacy.
I am thinking if this  VPN he used on an exchange or any gambling platform prohibits their place to access because for sure many of them will compromise your account and you can never open it again. So I never use this VPN for bypassing those blocklisted countries and even those online games banning your account when they determine that you are using VPN, how much more in a gambling platform that talk about money.
Yes, VPN, in general, is really used to cover your identity, location, etc., mostly privacy stuff, but really in the first place, the site we're visiting is a gambling site, it's a KYC infested place, you're not supposed to hide when they want you to show up since you'd just end up being hit in the ass with their TOS and whatnot. If you were, say, trying to talk somebody, buying something virtual or whatnot, sure, use VPN, but if KYC is needed, don't use it.
~
Nitrobet maybe? idk, might be a different site, just ignore it. Red text already warned you anw.
2575  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price support above 30000? on: February 25, 2022, 03:46:12 AM
There has been a general downtrend so far tbh. The price only recovered after the initial downtrend a few weeks ago, but it wasn't exactly impossible for it to go down once again, so that might be the actual cause, but hey who knows, the current situation might have influenced it as well, but a downtrend wasn't exactly impossible, with or without the Russia Ukraine issue. If a real war to happen though, then maybe we'd see some short panic crashes but as we've seen in the past, Bitcoin recovers from it quite well (Covid situation).
2576  Other / Archival / Re: Gambling in Wartime ⚽ 🏈 🏀 🎾 🎰📈🚀💥 on: February 25, 2022, 03:06:48 AM
There should be, not that there will be. Two countries are affected after all, so schedules, tournaments, etc., would surely get affected not to mention that there might be hits towards the events' viewers and whatnot. It isn't also that odd for some teams to have players living there right now or is affected in some way. Some events that are already happening or close to happening probably wouldn't be suspended tbh (I do hope so). Other locations far from EU should be fine I think?
2577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bustabit.com unfairness on: February 24, 2022, 11:32:01 PM
So basically the first issue was ignored by you since it was mainly being muted in chat.  The main issue here is that OP rained bits and you got... banned? Well, muted (which was the initial issue) and funds frozen (the main issue). Maybe send proof of the threat? That's probably the best proof here of their mods doing something wrong. The initial issue was probably forgoed by the admin since there wasn't any proof of you loaning the said person 6k (maybe).
2578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World War III & Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 10:52:22 AM
There will be no WWIII, end of story. It's mostly fearmongering right now about it, and I hardly doubt US would be dumb enough to actually join in on the Russia Ukraine issue to lead the way to the WWIII. As for assets going down, well, it always happens when something major goes on, but it's temporary. Bitcoin recovered from the dump when Covid hit after a few months, heck even made a new ATH after a year and a half? Or maybe two. Bitcoin going down also isn't anything odd, who knows, it may not even due to the Ukraine Russia issue.
2579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is one but has many attributes on: February 24, 2022, 04:42:30 AM
Ultimately it stands that Bitcoin is to be used as a currency. It being a safe asset was a natural result due to the nature of it's decentralization and limited supply. It being an investment stands on the foundation that it would be used as a currency imo, since if it isn't used for that purpose, then I don't think it could stand as an investment anymore. Though honestly that mindset would probably be changed once more countries start accepting Crypto, aka adoptions all over the place. People couldn't really use Bitcoin most of the time since stores don't generally accept them after all.
2580  Economy / Economics / Re: Measuring crisis effects on: February 24, 2022, 02:13:49 AM
The effect of those crises was mostly just panic selling no? I mean if you look at the crypto market, yes, it crashed when news of Covid went out and every country implemented lockdowns, but I'm pretty sure every one of us saw how that actually made Bitcoin grow or increase more to what it initially was. I see the current issue with Russia-Ukraine as the covid one really (in terms of market effect). We'd experience a temporary dump that would in the end, lead to a greater growth, or at the very least, recover to what it initally was.
