2561  Economy / Speculation / Re: are we going to have "fear" months? on: January 19, 2022, 09:40:24 PM
Yes, its really hard because i've been there. But the question is, does it help the situation to be better by having us to fear?
It depends on what our investment goals are. If we expect a commensurate return then we need not be afraid when the market is experiencing a correction. Price fluctuations are a normal situation which allows investors and traders to make profits but on the other hand fluctuations also cause a lot of losses. Short term investment may be much riskier if it fails to control emotions properly especially when the market trend is not as expected, it has happened time and time again until now.

I guess it will even worsen the situation once not properly managed. Fear is something that is already a part of being a human but if we always tolerate it, it will only make us deprived from the opportunities that this bearish season brings. So lets be practical, this is not the best time to fear about what is currently happening, divert your emotions into something useful like buying at the dip so we can be more profitable if this bearish season will be over.
It's safe to say that the best way to get a decent return is to invest in the long term and not focus too much on monitoring price movements in the market. It would probably be much better if we were able to implement an accumulation strategy without worrying too much about price fluctuations.
Well, if you tend to hold your coins for long term, make sure you won't be bothered anymore by any price fluctuations as this is very possible for a very volatile market. I think fear is most likely be seen in newbies but if you have been here for quite long, then you should get used to the market and is expected to be more calm than being panic. Because honestly, having fear and end up panic selling will only worsen the scenario and ends up putting yourself in a huge mess.
2562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 19, 2022, 02:16:06 PM
Golden State Warriors are going to play one of their most comfortable games tomorrow morning. Their competitor is Detroit Pistons and they are one of the worst teams in general. Warriors will have Curry and Thompson both in this game as it seems. Considering this fact, they will have a big opportunity to get an easy win unless they make simple mistakes. They lost to Timberwolves in their last game and they would want to make up for this bad loss in this one. I'm favoring Warriors and maybe I can add them to my betslip too.

This would be an easy game for GSW and a sure win for them. They can't afford to lose this one since KT is adjusting and getting some more minutes to get back his old self and the Detroit Pistons is perfect for that. As we know, they are losing some games due to their new rotations because they seem to adjust for the addition of KT in the court. Nevertheless, they already established some wins which will gonna secure their Playoffs spot.

Yeah I don’t think there is any questions that this team is headed for a high seed in the playoffs. I mean last night Klay only had 21 points and Curry only had 18 points and they still easily won that game (not that the Detroit Pistons are a very good team lol). It’s great to see Klay back though. I don’t necessarily like the him or the warriors but basketball is better for it with these guys doing well.

It's the first time this season that Klay lead the team to win, he is the top scorer on the team and I'm so happy for him. He is more accurate in this game although it ended in a low scoring game, but the splash brothers are alive here and the domiance of the warriors are once again displayed.
2563  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 19, 2022, 01:52:53 PM

Honestly, what I like the most about Magsayo is that he is from the Philippines, and I have seen a lot about that beautiful country, its culture and its people, in addition to the fact that it has great athletes and above all boxers, of the stature of Pacquiao that in reality every fight I enjoyed it a lot, because for me he is a great boxing master. And well, taking into account that grain of preference, one can choose him, this thinking on a sentimental basis and almost with the heart, although many times this type of boxer has his dream so clear that only that makes him win.

That last statement most of the time value each fight coming from pilipino fighters.

The heart that they are bringing from every opportunity that being open for them, this is a title fight that Magsayo will try
to win. If he does, the momentum in his career will be hyped up.

His value will be more expensive, and like what happened to Pacquiao and Donaire promoters will give him a huge fortune if
he can bring more good fights in his current division.

And that will start by winning this fight which is the biggest fight of his life. Becoming a world champion is not easy, which means if you are a champion, you are the best already and you have to fight every opponent that will be thrown at you or will challenge you. In the case of Magsayo, he is not yet a mature fighter, I can see some weakness in him based on his fight, but if he will work hard to improve, then his chances to upset the champion will increase.
2564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uruguay installs its first Bitcoin ATM on: January 18, 2022, 09:12:42 PM
Recently, Uruguay’s first crypto ATM was installed in the city of Punta del Este, a major tourist city in Uruguay, and become the 11th South American country to publicly promote crypto adoption.
Two local cryptocurrency corporations are developed and installed the first crypto ATM in the country. (URUBit and inBierto). The ATM mainly supports deposits and withdrawal of BTC, BNB BUSD, FRT, URUB. URUB and  FRT are managed and developed by URUBit and inBierto. The two companies are controlled and funded by the government of Uruguay.

A big win indeed for Uruguay in having it's first Bitcoin ATM. Since 2018, crypto ATMs have been growing around the world despite the ups and downs of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies worldwide. Here in the Philippines, we only have one government-regulated and approved crypto ATM in UnionBank and I have visited it myself. Hopefully there will be more to come in other crypto friendly countries.
This is a good strategy i think so we can attract more crypto users that will contribute much for the fast adoption of bitcoin. And despite of its never ending volatility, bitcoin continues to grow and with the different bitcoin ATM machines in different countries, it only proves that governments are now starting to to backed bitcoin since most of these crypto ATMs are protected by them.
2565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting Used to The Market Situation is The Key to Becoming a Reliable Trader. on: January 17, 2022, 09:36:20 PM
Rather than the market situation, the key factor is the trading part. Its impossible to know the market situation on an instant basis at all times, just like you can never know if someone is about to sell hundreds of millions of dollars worth of coin in the next minutes. The best trading strategy you can provide for yourself is not to become emotional and never to sell because of emotional thinking.
As long as you're not driven with greed or emotions, either in trading or in investing, then that will create positive results. In trading, you cannot guarantee making gains all the time as there will be inevitable losses even if you say you are an expert in the market. But if you can get used to the market situation and be able to understand the cause of every price movement, then it will always give you an edge to win over losses as you know already when is the best time to trade, and what coins will be most likely to be profitable in trading. Just stick to your plan and never be motivated with greed, i know you will attract good profits in the end.
2566  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC: is it really bearish? on: January 17, 2022, 08:42:47 PM
Ok, as of late I've been drawing some lines (as practice, mostly), and now I'm more confused than ever. Everybody keeps talking about BTC being bearish, but the lines I drew show it to be on an upwards trend. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see. The graph is from Binance.

So the magic question would be: what am I missing? Huh

Probably you just don’t need to listen to those who claim that BTC is now in a bearish trend, but there is also another answer, maybe you just didn’t draw the lines correctly, or you drew them according to your vision and knowledge, and not how they see the situation on the market its other members. Personally, I can only guess, since I myself am not an expert in this area. However, I agree more with your vision of the situation with BTC, since I myself drew some lines and I also got an uptrend, not a bearish one.
Whether it’s a bear market or it’s just a deep correction, however, for several months now, the cryptocurrency has fallen sharply in price and is practically standing still. Moreover, this happened in the last two months of the year, when traditionally prices, on the contrary, always grow significantly in price. Now I think that we are expecting a rise in prices in this market, but not now, but after some time: maybe another month or two will pass. However, growth is bound to happen.
Despite of the doubt if we are still bullish or bearish, i think as long as we are still witnessing that prices are declining, then it will be a good way to buy at the dip so we can prepare and maximize our profits when a real bull run comes in the market. After all, we are here for profits and right now we are seeing opportunities in front of us, so its better if we can buy in every dip because we really don't know when will this price correction recovers.
2567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 15, 2022, 09:52:13 PM

It's good to see that the odds are out early, this gives bettors a chance to beat early and take the very tempting odds of Magsayo. Since I can use my "PRICE BOOST", I can get as much as 4.03, that's a nice extra for more.

Nice, this one is an opportunity that we should not miss. Getting x3 pure profit from your investment is a huge thing, yes, the risk of losing is high because Magsayo is just a challenger but we have a quality fighter who can have an upset on Rusell, truly, I will not miss that opportunity as my money is ready for this particular fight.
2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: January 15, 2022, 09:23:33 PM
~
Usyk has to first deal with the rematch with Joshua, I doubt Joshua will accept some money to step aside as if he did then most likely he will never receive another chance to win a title, so it is all or nothing for Joshua when he fights against Usyk again, however I think that taking into account what we saw it is almost a given Usyk will win the rematch, so what comes next is the biggest question. And while I would like the fight between Fury and Usyk to happen right away, we know that promoters will get in the way.
What surprises me is that majority of the fight fans still think that Anthony Joshua could win the rematch against Usyk and with the hype revolving the rematch, i doubt Anthony Joshua would accept a big payment and step aside.

The biggest problem we need to get rid in boxing is, mandatory rematch clause for one sided beating  Cheesy. My prediction is still Oleksandr Usyk winning the rematch and then meeting Tyson Fury for a mega showdown.

For Usyk, it's better for him to give Joshua the rematch as beating him twice will not make people doubt about his real talent in boxing, it will also boost his ranking among the best heavyweights in the world, and no other opportunity for him after winning in a rematch but to fight with Fury who is currently the number 1 in the world. Then probably loser vs loser or (Joshua vs Wilder) too.  Smiley
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 15, 2022, 08:50:55 PM

Thurman has never been KO in his career, though he got knocked down by Pacman he continued and he even gets stronger in the later rounds that always result in a victory, unfortunately, he lost via split decision and that was really close. Thurman has power and good stamina, if he stays disciplined after a while of inactivity, then we can assure that he will win here, probably via KO.

Yup, he almost win that fight. If he didn't get that early knock down, that split decision might have a different outcome.

He fought well and if he continue to have that same discipline with his body, conditioning is not hard for him to bring that

stamina back, it's interesting to place some decent bet for Thurman he still have that good edge since he just rest for a while but

it's the same ground where his feet originally standing.. Wink

And he will do everything to win again. It's an exemption fighting Pacman, now that the legend is out and earns the best experience in his career already, it's time for him to come back and start dominating again, giving the top-ranking welterweights a real challenge.

Well, he didn't make an excuse and that's good for him as being undefeated who had his first loss, he will certainly learn a lot from that fight, and going forward he will continue to improve. I'm expecting a better Thurman in his coming fight, a more matured fighter that could easily beat his opponent. I believe after this fight we will see some speculation on a possible fight for him against Spence or Crawford if both will win on their respective fights.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 15, 2022, 08:22:39 PM

But what if Ugas will win. It's a big upset.

Can't imagine for now that we will see a banner of Ugas vs Crawford as everybody is eyeing for Spence to win.

Ugas has to prove that, but for me, I think Ugas will lose because his style is easy to read. Since Spence is stronger and a heavy puncher than him, then I would expect that his defensive style of boxing will be broken down by the punches of Spence. Well, Spence losing the fight is also possible, but as long as it's a clean and entertaining fight, I would still be happy to see a Ugas vs Crawford duel in the future.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 15, 2022, 07:33:23 PM

I think that there's a lot of bettors who lost the bet, including me Grin
Who would've thought that this scenario would happen, I really didn't saw this coming especially Lavine got injured early in todays game but then I said, nah this is nothing because Green and Thompson isn't around either on the opposing team. But things suddenly changed and GSW dug 41 points alone in the 2nd quarter and buried the Bulls until the end of the game with a whooping score gap.
Indeed mate, it was a crazy week.

Warrior dominated them from the start to finish.

I was on the impression that Ball and DeRozan will try to hold even Lavine got injured, but GSW played so well, they don't have that huge production from Curry but the young rookie and everyone around did their best to help and secure that huge gap from the first half.

Bulls don't have any answer to try rallying back, move forward, another but timing here..

That's definitely one of the best wins of the Warriors, that's the real them, they love to dominate the Bulls either on the road and most especially at home. We have to get used to it and always back the Warriors when they are in a consecutive loss as a good team always bounces back strong.
2572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 15, 2022, 07:14:52 PM
My gosh, I can't believe the Warriors had a huge blowout win against the Bulls. I'm thinking that the Bulls are really a strong team but they lose to the Nets, now the Warriors. It was a nice bounce back by the Warriors, they only took out Thompson to stop their losing streak, and now they are back.

Curry wasn't so impressive but the contribution of all is pretty evident in this game, and that's the reason why they dominated the Bulls.
This is the big difference between the Lakers and the Warriors right now.

In the Warriors, even their star player Stephen Curry doesn't have a big night there is somebody who can step up, contribute and even carry the whole team to victory and that is why they are one of the most dominating teams right now.

In the Lakers, even Lebron is having an off night it isn't enough for the team to win "sometimes". I mean there is no second or third contributor to the team when it comes to offense. Stepping up is what they need but as the trade deadline is coming, I think the best for the team is to trade some players and get younger ones. No offense and Lebron is a great leader of the team. Its just that the players around him doesn't contributing much for them to dominate the league.

Overall, its nice to see that the Warriors have players who can just take over whenever Steph is having a bad night.

That's normal in every team Lebron is playing, he is always the main man and they are too reliant on him. When Lebron was injured, the Lakers suddenly tanked, it's not good for the team but it is what it is, we have to accept that the Lakers are not playing like the Warriors.

2574  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: January 14, 2022, 11:58:01 PM
Looking at the current market condition I don't think bitcoin will reach $100k mark as it has to first recover from the recent dump and bitcoin is unable to cross $50k for a while now. We should be thankful if bitcoin crossed the $50k mark or atleast achives a new ATH because $100k seems far from achievable at the moment.
Well, if bitcoin will surpass the $50k level, maybe after that there might be chances for bitcoin to reach $100k this year. But we all know how hard for bitcoin to recover this time as the market seems to be more bloody than green. The only chance that bitcoin will have a strong upward momentum are the positive news that will hit and affect the market soon. But if there are none, the bear market will last longer so there will be no chances for bitcoin to reach $100k this year. But definitely, this is a good time to prepare for the bullish season that will happen again soon.
2575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 14, 2022, 09:55:53 PM
You don’t just wake up and tell everyone to believe something just because you had the feeling that it is going to happen. Sorry that’s not how things works, rather you have to do your own analysis and give the reasons that’s good enough to prove that what you have said is accurate. This is not all about feelings, you don’t just believe things here based on the feelings of someone else. So, I am not really going to believe what you are saying, because this is not even the first time that we are seeing a move like this, it happened many times.

And moreover you are not even the first to talk about this, since last year a lot of people had been saying that the market would get above $100,000, and we haven’t seen that yet. I know there would be an increase, but all these ridiculous prices when the bullish trend is over? I don’t quite believe them. But it’s still good to keep holding.
You are right. Although there is positivity there, but i guess the timing is wrong. We are not yet even sure if bitcoin will make a consistent increase since the market is still in a big correction. For me, i don't see chances for bullish season this time as its most likely that we are even going to experience a bearish season rather than a bullish one. Of course bitcoin will still be in skyrocket after all of these, and no doubt about that. But for now, bitcoin is still struggling to surpass even the $45k price level.
The market seems very interesting since last week, I saw a big zigzag motion on it which is a potential spot for making a profit.
Though yes you are right that bitcoin price is unpredictable but I don't see any struggle happen here, I noticed that there's a big move jumping from $40k jumping into the price of $45k. But I agree that the bulls are coming soon and it will always come and I confidently assumed that the bitcoin price will reach $100k sooner or later within this year or another year because there is no time frame when it will occur.
You'll get some profit if you know how to handle the price volatility. However, I'm saying it's bearish because we can't get past $50k and it's just moving to a lower range, I will not be surprised if bitcoin will drop below $40k as it's been due for a heavy correction IMO. After a season of bull run, it's a new season of bear run, so we have to prepare ourselves on that, don't panic and still enjoy its voaltilty by trading consistently.
But most of the time, when bear season starts to appear in the market, there will be less activity to make profits. And the best thing we could do is to maximize our buying moments so we can prepare for the upcoming bullish season once the bear season is over. For OP, its not that i am going to contradict on you, but i see more chances for bitcoin to drop once again than starting to go to the moon and reach its new ATH. But one day, i know it will.
2576  Economy / Economics / Re: 2022 Savings and investment plan on: January 14, 2022, 09:20:01 PM
I will be specific and all I will make comment about is bitcoin.

Many altcoins are shitcoins, if this year is not favourable their price can be worthless and never reach all-time-high again which should be what we should mostly avoid. Do more research.

This is not about trading or short term investment and may exceed a year.

Invest in bitcoin, if the price decrease, invest more. A time is coming when bitcoin will again reach all-time-high. All your investment will never at the time be in vain as you will make profit.

Bitcoin investment is the safest one and will reward you in the long run. However, there are some other coins like eth , cardano and dot which may give better returns as compare to bitcoin. Sometimes shitcoins also give 100x returns. So my piece of advice would be to calculate your total money first which you allocate for the crypto investments. Then with 50% of that money buy bitcoins and with 25% of that money, you can by other good coins from the top 10 list. The remaining 25% of the money can be allocated to shitcoins. This way you will get the maximum returns while minimizing the risks.
Not a bad strategy but I think the allocation to shitcoins is simply too high, in my opinion if someone is going to deal with those coins then at best they should invest only 10% of their portfolio in those coins, I say that because even if we know some of those coins go up in value very rapidly the chances that you invest in one of those coins is very low and as such you may lose all of the capital you invested in them, and if you only invest 10% of your capital that can be quickly offset by bitcoin on its own with a small upward movement.
I got your point. Shitcoins are more of trash coins so they should be given only a very low allocation since there are more chances to lose than to make profits. So i guess 10% to 15% is already good enough. But i agree on bitcoin having the highest allocation since it always creates the biggest profits due to its very expensive price in the first place. But anyways, its your money so you have all the control how to make your investments right. We are just giving some advices that you would like to consider too.
2577  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: January 14, 2022, 02:44:24 PM

Grin
2578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 14, 2022, 02:22:39 PM

On the other hand though, if this will happen then more opportunities for other players. They don't need to wait longer just to have spots in the teams that we have right now but they will have more teams to choose with. What are the chances that this will happen? I don't know because if the PBA really wanted to expand and add more teams then they should've done it long time ago already but they aren't doing it until now.

That's right, and the salary will be more competitive as well as the competition is getting tougher. Actually, we have a lot of talented basketball players but only few of them are given the opportunity due to the limited number of big leagues, with the increasing popularity of MPBL, that gives them a good chance.
2579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 13, 2022, 09:54:25 PM
~snip~
Now, Casimero needs to show something here, otherwise, he will slowly lose his fans.

Casimero is always been an exciting boxer if you have followed his career though we saw some boring fights, most recently with Rigo but that was not his fault. Casimero is a brawler and wants to fight toe to toe as if there is no more tomorrow for him and the good thing with him is that he is maturing with respect to his fighting style but still somehow undisciplined with regards to making weights  Grin.

It's been weeks since the fight postponed and have not heard from Probellum yet on the date for this one, have they lose interest on staging this match?

No update yet after that news regarding to Casimero to continue holding the belt,

Not sure if promoters already lose interest with this fight and no longer giving any update regarding to possible re-schedule
of this fight, but hopefully they will bring information about it and give some light to followers and fans if they are going to
bring this fight into reality..

We have to understand that the world is imposing some health measures again due to the omicron virus, promoters would not be interested to pursue this fight early when the situation is not manageable yet. The fact that he was not stripped with his belt and Butler did not look for another opponent, for sure this fight is going to happen this year.
2580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 13, 2022, 09:28:37 PM
And that is what I'm trying to explain, plus both are in their prime years of their boxing, so it's really a hard call right now. Although in paper, Spence is the favorite.

Ugas though is not that far away, he has been in this division for many years and maybe it's about time that his name will be in the discussion because we have been talking about Spence vs Crawford and now we have new name in Ugas that can throw this division off.
_

Yeah they are the same cause they are in their prime year's but in terms of popularity Spence is a little bit ahead than Ugas. We all know that the crowd will choose Spence cause he is ahead in any aspects and also a champion without loss. Based on the last fight between Ugas and manny, Ugas proved that he can win and defeat the one and only 8 division champ in the world of boxing. If Ugas maintain his focus and not be greedy in their fight against Spence I think he had a chance to win this fight.

That was a big upset but in the end, people are still not impressed because they would say that he only beat an old Pacman. This fight is his real challenge, if he wins here then there are no more doubts anymore, good luck to him and hopefully, he will train as hard as he can as Spence is a different animal, a real beast in the ring.
