It should be like that at most times. I saw it from exchanges on how they professionally managed to handle a hacking incident and how they've made their users calm until they've improved their security.
That's because they were ready for it, cold storage is the invention of the century for bitcoin, if you put only a small amount of money on hot wallets and put most of the money on cold storage that means when your hot wallet gets emptied, then you still have a lot of money left, and if people want to withdraw from the hacking incident, then you will be able to pay either all of them or at least most of them and people will see that nothing big happened and that's fine deal.

I believe that any place that can find the right balance there would be able to find peace even against biggest of hacking attempts, since they will be ready for it when it happens.
Well, it's the actual backup fund when your hot wallet becomes dry. We've seen this from almost every company that focuses on cryptocurrencies and has payouts in that form.
And the biggest funds are stored there so that when something wrong happens, they can easily have it backup with those funds just like what happened back then in some famous hacks through an exchange as I've said.
Whilst for some gambling casinos, I hope that it won't happen to any of those that are running currently because we don't want to see it happening that people losses their funds through hacks.

Well, they didn't went there just to waste the reputation that they've built from a long time. So, they have to do something like that for them to maintain their name and as well as the good reputation that they already have.
They will try to maintain their reputation by doing the best for their members. If their members can be satisfied with their service, they will have a good reputation among other casino sites and vice versa. So always checking regularly can help the casino be safe from all attacks that can harm their site. When it comes to reputation, the casino will also do whatever it takes to ensure that its reputation is maintained.
That's what they'll do. To protect their reputation, they'll do whatever it takes to avoid the ruckus what will be made against their casino. That's why these problems will be eliminated as much as they want to maintain their status as a good and well known reputed casino.
It's all on their budget to allot that thing to protect them so many of their members will stay to them and that's all about the business that they've established, they don't want it to be gone just because of some problems that has occurred that could ruin them.
2565  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: September 18, 2022, 09:30:40 PM
but i firmly believe that some reputable platforms have a very professional development team to constantly improve the security of the platform from any hacking.
It should be like that at most times. I saw it from exchanges on how they professionally managed to handle a hacking incident and how they've made their users calm until they've improved their security.
because a gambling site that already has a good reputation will definitely maintain the name of the company and will always improve security which should be done for the good of the future of the platform.
Well, they didn't went there just to waste the reputation that they've built from a long time. So, they have to do something like that for them to maintain their name and as well as the good reputation that they already have.
2566  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this Gambling Bot real or fake? on: September 16, 2022, 08:54:10 PM
I bought the bot and gave it a try. Think its not really worth to pay 5$ for 5 days when there are free bots around providing nearly the same. But was fun testing the bot.
Well, if you have enjoyed using that bot you've paid. You should really enjoy it since you've paid for it despite there are a few that's for free and effective, you've chosen it.
If you think that you'll stay using that then it's all on you right now.
Too many suggestions given to you on what free you can use and you don't have to pay for it.
2567  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this Gambling Bot real or fake? on: September 15, 2022, 07:20:06 PM
@OP
Since you've purchased it already and the file is there, aside from running it on a virtual box/machine. If you have a spare PC or laptop that isn't used that much.
This is where it can be used for you to have that assurance that it doesn't really contain any virus. Well, I guess that the price of it made you purchased it since it's very cheap. Care to leave a feed back after you've done and tried it? Although there's a more popular dice bot out there, you should have asked before you purchase. This happens at most times when someone asks instead of before the purchase, he or she has already purchased it.
2568  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: September 13, 2022, 09:19:38 PM
I don't know what would be the faith of shipping business if the trend changes to fedex , but for me? i will not deal with that same action if giving a chance to decide .
I won't also do the same thing as what the FEDEX owner did. That's really the riskiest thing that he can ever do and I guess he was all set for greatness and dumbness at that time. He realizes that it's all in or go home with nothing and that's already accepted in fate.
But, really fate is playing sometimes and the guy did the right thing on what resulted for his action. The good thing is that he's into the greatness but I'm sure that he's telling the other businessman that don't do what he has done because that might also change their fate but could not be the same as how lucky he was back then.

2570  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: September 12, 2022, 10:19:00 PM
It’s not good to trust someone who are just new here and claiming to be professional in something, I know Poker is very popular and with that, many are eager to learn how it works and how to make their own strategy, having a mentor might help but only trust who already have a good reputation here or else better to learn on your own. There’s a lot of ways to learn poker, it’s already available online you just need to look for a more trusted source. Again with the status of OP, i think it’s too risky to contact him.
There were many of them in the past that they're just came and then said that they're professional in the same things like playing professional poker, sports bettor and other gambling stuff.
But I've seen really a few of them that put their words for real and they've just came to the forum and seen that they can capitalize their career here. Due to the low rank, it's hard for them to be trusted but other than that, there's even more that are just playing around and telling they're professional but not in actual.
2571  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: September 10, 2022, 11:08:14 PM
Stake.com is not the only one that's been doing what its been doing and I don't agree that there is an absence of competition in the Cryptocurrency market, it is just that Stake has long years of existence and they have established loyal supporters since they started back 1998, others are just building their reputation and community, their closest rival Duelbits just started 2020 but they have achieved a lot, it will be different five years from now, Stake.com is just reaping what they've planted on over 20 years of their existence,
I didn't know this fact about stake.com that they've been there since 1998. I thought that they're just built last 2017 and their first success project was primedice which is still up to date and operating.
you cannot expect to beat Stake by other casinos that are 2 to 4 years in its existence.
The reputation they have is just hard to beat and that's one fact that many competitors knew but nothing bad to try to be at least close to them or be par in some other ways.
2572  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🪄 arcanebet.com 🪄 Your new favourite Crypto Casino 🎲 on: September 08, 2022, 10:33:58 PM
When I've read the name of the casino, it's something that like is related to games, "arcane". LOL.
That's a decent rating for a casino, they could have got a higher rating if not for the very strict KYC they implement
Quote
We are required, by law, to verify all of our players' identities. We do this to comply with the requirements of our licenses, and to maintain the responsibility of actively preventing underage gambling and potential criminal activity on our platform.
Players should take note of this since they mentioned the word all in their KYC, we are used to random withdrawals or when they suspect our account only to do KYC, players should read their TOS and understand before playing but overall the casino looks great and competitive the announcement needs a lot to be desired, they should do more if they want to stand out here, design matters here in Bitcointalk.
I guess there's no other way for the majority of these casinos to have that non-kyc implementation. There are still a few of them but let's just expect that the other batches would also do the same in terms of kyc because they're being required by their country and the law that it states where they're based.
2573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 07, 2022, 10:34:26 PM
Go big or go home, if you are going to spend money on lawyers to sue then you arent likely to go for anything but the maximum amount possible.   The merits of the case, whether there is any slight chance of its success is not known to us.   Its even possible the lawsuit is just intimidate and cast bad publicity, in hope of a far larger cease fee; thats not a new trick.   We cant tell, Im not legally educated to decide so its just wait and see.
If this go on the process and will require a lot of money for both end, we have an idea on who's going to be totally okay proceeding with the litigation process.
In the end, both of them will have to pay for all of those fees for this sue action and possibly that there's no one that will take other's money but all of them have taken money just for the process.
I'm not sure though if that's easily understood but if you know what I mean, that's likely what will happen since it's an individual against a corporation that has billions on stack.
2574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 06, 2022, 11:32:53 PM
I'm not sure if this is appropriate , but can we just let our self gambling outside our houses?
Being tied to someone will need you to ask permission of the things that you're about to do such as gambling.
if we really wanted to Hide from playing then better play outside their sight , meaning we should deal in gambling when there isa  given time or allocate time not close to them?
You can do that but you will lie on your partner on what you're doing and where you're about to go. That's what unfaithfulness is and as someone who's attached to a partner, you will have to think if that's the right thing to do or not.
i never tried hiding because I am an open person that dont wanna make things complicated so instead of hiding I will tell them directly no matter how they react and decide .
That's good of you and just keep doing that.

2576  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Bitcoin Follows Previous Cycle on: September 03, 2022, 11:10:20 PM
The key question is whether Bitcoin will follow the previous cycles or things will play out in a different way - but that's why all this is called speculation and everyone has the right to say their opinion - and others should not necessarily take it as financial advice.
The last run was also different from the past years so it's possible that the next cycle would be entirely different. But who doesn't like these predictions that are giving numbers if the same cycle will be followed. Well, I'm even calculating how much I will have by that time if it happens.  Tongue
Still, people expect Bitcoin to perform some new miracle and achieve at least x10 in the next bull run, which is close to what is in the OP - but I would be quite satisfied with x2 compared to the last ATH Cheesy
x2 or x3 would be good enough already for me. As for looking at the x10 growth, from now on, it will take a lot of years before we likely see that.
2577  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: September 02, 2022, 10:53:23 AM
Many investors will panic if the price of bitcoin drops by more than 5%
I don't think so. Most that are panicking are the new ones but those that have been here for quite awhile, I don't think that a 5% is already too big to panic.
but those who have experience and long in bitcoin then this is a good opportunity to buy more, and today it is proven because the market is rising again and getting closer to $21k.
Not only for the experienced ones but for everyone that includes the newbies. Think of each fall as the best time to buy because it's the opportunity that we've been waiting for.

2579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Somewhere in Nigeria, Bitcoin's touching lives on: August 29, 2022, 11:24:03 PM
Just wow. That's unity and the eagerness to help a community to bring clean water is really one of the best feeling to have. Whoever initiated this project, you guys are real legends.
I've been seeing NGOs that do the same but knowing that it came from a community that used bitcoin funding for it, that's something else and special.
Hopefully, this won't stop and there will be more communities that shall have this turnover for the project of clean source of water.
2580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: August 27, 2022, 09:46:31 PM
Is cloud mining even a legitimate thing in the first place? Pretty sure that all of those who claim that they are a cloud mining service are 100% scam.
99.9% of them are not. And if you find a legitimate cloud mining, their contracts are already sold out within a minute and as you calculate your profit there, you'll barely have enough and break even.
I haven't seen a legit one and my friend who has been in crypto for a long time has never saw one too, asked him about it while typing my post.
That's why the majority of them are not really legitimate at all. And if someone is going to buy a spot for cloud mining, it's better to just buy bitcoin and you're even more secure by doing it.
