2561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Development cost for a GPU resistant coin on: May 25, 2013, 05:37:44 PM
Zero. It has been done already.

Just mine YAC after August 13. It seems GPUs stop working at all after that date.

See: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=206577.msg2237077#msg2237077

hahaha, there is no such thing, unless its a algo that cant be parallelized, so many coins were thought to be GpU resistant, and now? look at litecoin. GPU are superior to cpus in making the simple yet repetitive calculations that make up mining algos. people are gpu mining yac already and by august efficiency will be above 90%

Nah, check out how the luckycoin crowd is already trading, people on this coin are trying to hold until there are enough coins to make useful volume trades, easy does it.

2569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PXC Development on: May 25, 2013, 08:51:08 AM
these are just feelers, we are not intending to be put on there now, but for them to watch the coin grow. putting it on an exchange now would be destructive.
2570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PXC Development on: May 25, 2013, 07:00:59 AM
Just ask them to keep an open eye, the currency is young and growing
2571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PXC Development on: May 25, 2013, 06:31:22 AM
sorry for the slow reply time KlausMiner , my machines are down for routine maintenance.

Please link him to the site, and ask him to get a wallet, i'd be willing to send a few PXC his way so he can try out the site for himself.

if ossible, link him to the OP thread so they can see how much activity is there in the community.

Let's go people, hustle!!!!

2573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / PXC Development on: May 25, 2013, 05:32:14 AM
Let's start actively building the hype for our coin and get more adopters.

Objectives:

1) Build up a range of services that accept our coin
2) Raise the hashrate above a g/h
3) Massive campaign on the forum to get attention
4) Get on a major exchange platform

If we do this right, our coin can outpace the altcoin a day phenomena, but it requires input from all of us.

I'd suggest this template as a letter to the admins of bter and btc-e to get their attention, 2 or more emails from each of us a day from our various accounts should peak their interest

Hello

I write this letter to (X site) today with a goal in mind, that being the implementation of the alternative cryptocurrency known as PhenixCoin (PXC).

What differentiates this coin from the influx of other cryptos is the fact that its developers built the coin as a usable tool for their upcoming projects, namely a full casino coming in the near future to accompany their already widely-known phenixpoker website. This means that the coin has a rooted utility and thus value in the coin developer's projects. Within a few weeks, an official Phenix Exchange will be available provided by the developers themselves.

Thus, in conclusion, I write to ( X site ) in hopes that the implementation of PXC on an trading platform will be taken seriously for consideration. Please respond if you have any more questions about PXC or for whatever other reason.

Thank you.

patience, let's build. i think if we can hold until infrastructure is there we can go as high as 1btc = 300 PXC, it's a rough ride and a gamble, but lets tilt the odds in our direction, in a few days we can start mailing bter and btce and get them to take us in.

Start up a thread with objectives and mailing lists with pre-written messages for everyone to email. I'll love you forever.

yes sir, i'll start it now and keep updating in three hours, gotta nap.

solo mining issues

Enabled Dead Priority 2: http://127.0.0.1:9318   Huh Huh

testnet=0
listen=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=m
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9318
port=9116
addnode=54.217.218.132
addnode=54.217.218.219
addnode=54.217.218.231
addnode=54.217.218.234
addnode=54.217.218.238
addnode=67.233.57.113
addnode=65.87.180.248

it refuses to work

I don't think that:

port=9116 is needed, but I could be wrong...lemme check my config

ok, even after removing it, the wallet confirms i am connected to the network, but cg miner still says

2: Enabled Dead Priority 2: http://127.0.0.1:9319

i've double checked the username  and pass , they all match up

i did the info thing and it gave me

Pool: http://127.0.0.1:9319
Does not have own long-poll support

2579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Abort Cryptsy on: May 24, 2013, 10:06:30 PM
so the guy sucks monkey balls, is a horrible coder, has a rigged site, is killing all the alt-coins, robbing everyone blind...he removes your favorite coin per request and now he's awesome and is doing the best he can?? That's one hell of an about-face. What about all the other alt-coin he's "destroying" guess you're as selfish as the miners you got what you wanted so everything is grand now. Are you 12?

i could think up a dozen jokes referring to your maturity, but i'd rather not since you fail to see the joke. is English your first language or did you jump on the train later on in life?

here's me at twelve
2580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Phenix coin Haters on: May 24, 2013, 09:52:47 PM
In testament as to why Phenix coin is superior and a success in the making, we successfully managed to GET OFF an exchange by demand of the miners. While evry other coin is rushing to get listed , we are taking our time to build up the support base and services to solidfy the base before we get ruined by pump and dump. Eat that Haters, we effectively doubled the value of our coin by refusing to be put on an exchange.
