2582  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook |250k$ Easter giveaway | VIP | on: April 13, 2022, 02:06:09 PM
but there are gambling websites without KYC too, right?
Yes, there are others that don't ask for it until the casino itself starts asking it, it's the same with duelbits. As long as you've got no big problem and you're clean with the activities in the platform, you don't have to worry.

if someone is worried about giving away their data and exposing thei privacy they can always opt for playing on different websites, I suppose...
Actually, there are many of us here that don't want to do that. But when it has come to that point and you really have to do it, you've got no choice but to do it.

I think the same, privacy and anonymity is a right that should never be taken away from us and that is why in some way the licenses force certain sites to have data to verify certain veracity and security to avoid money laundering, money laundering, among other things. But in general when it comes to Duelbits I think it is safe to give some KYC, it is a recognized casino, it has a great reputation, it has the trust of many expert people, and also each contest and each game that they implement they do it in a way safe and widely accepted, it should also be noted that they have a large community and that alone speaks highly of a casino.

yes, I also trust Duelbits, otherwise wouldn't be on their sig campaign

we always have a choice so if somebody end up having to KYC or give up on their assets or something like that they can always chose, even if it's not an easy choice.
there are risks with KYC and as all risks they can mitigated with good opsec.

Is only a new born baby that will say he or she does know or have never heard of crypto before. Athletes are more conversant with the crypto world and how it works cause the have the information and the resources to get things done to their pleasure. Crypto.com had been working their way out to the public so more people can adoption cryptocurrency easily   based on their sponsorships and partnerships.

The bonuses are huge but might not be compared to what fighters are earning, although its a good start that will aids more adoption of Bitcoin and crypto currency at large.

yes, I think we'll see this kind of thing happening more and more on the sports world,
quite nice!

it's impressive that we are still at such a low adoption of crypto... but won't take long at this growth rate...

2586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] World Championship 2021: Carlsen Vs. Nepomniachtchi on: April 12, 2022, 09:43:05 PM
<...>

I would say that this particular case is not politics, but the normal behavior of people. What do you know about Karjakin as a racing driver or snooker player? I think nothing. Karjakin is a representative of the chess community. He has an opinion - no one takes away his opinion from him, but since he represents the entire chess community, this community does not want to be associated with him and therefore does not want to "play" with him while he makes statements that cast a shadow on the entire community.
I think if you have a good opponent in your neighborhood to play chess or whatever, but one day you find out that he is a pedophile, then most likely you will stop playing with him, right? Although it seems like his sexual deviations have nothing to do with chess and "these are different issues."

as much as I hate wars and think they're stupid and a waste/delay for human civilization, I don't think that we can compare individuals who support the war to pedophiles

former have an opinion about something
latter have a serious conduct deviation and are criminals/ill

but still, take my opinion about Karjakin with a grain of salt since I didn't follow the full situation and just checked the article quite fast...

For those who have watched the movie "Inception" then will know that lucid dreaming is a potential technology that still makes no sense that will exist in the future. This idea may sound crazy but "gambling in a dream" will definitely come true.
Yeah, truly a crazy idea.

With all of the technologies that are coming out, every microchip that they produce has its own feature that shall work based on what it is assigned for.

Remember the neurolink of Elon's company?

I guess it's the same for this and it's very likely that it can be integrated with gambling through thinking and that's out of this world type of gambling. Gambling online through thinking and your brain will just have to process it, what a crazy idea but really possible.

the dystopian triggers are strong as well
can you imagine?
ad companies that track eye movements and have all dopamine reward pathways mapped in a way that they know how to make you hooked for a game and addicted since day 1?

crazy future coming

I think that there is still a long way to go to such a solution. But I think it is quite possible. Before we get to gambling in dreams though, I'm sure we'll be playing in metaverse casino along the way. I am sure that work is already underway to create a casino in the digital world. I just wonder if it can be done this year.

this year may be too soon, I'd guess
probably will take many years for something like that to be available for general population

maybe, I don't know, five or ten?
2590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 11, 2022, 12:00:31 PM
My favorite writer is Roger Zelazny.  In his novels ("Chronicles of Amber"), he very colorfully describes the duels of magicians.

Magicians fight each other with the help of magic (they bring down ocean waves on each other, send a powerful tornado or a magical fire-breathing dragon to the opponent).  I thought - are such fights possible in reality?  Can the dueling of technological magicians of the 21st century become a new spectacular game of chance?  Will players be able to bet (lose and win) on the magical sport?

Theoretically, this is possible.  To do this, you need to use the technology of neural interfaces.  Two human brains can be connected together, and this will allow a mental duel between them.  As a result, the fighter with the strongest will and powerful imagination will win.  The victor will crush the will of his rival with images of raging fire, deadly ice and raging water.  It will be an incredibly spectacular and popular sports competition!

Spectators will follow the battle of magicians through neural interfaces, they will not feel psychic blows, but they will see pictures that appear in the brains of the fighters.

am I the only one who thinks neural interfaces are a bit... creepy?
part of me thinks the possibilities are amazing like a directed psychedelic trip, on the other hands to think of all the black mirror like scenarios we may have with this technology is something that could freak out someone...

2593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: April 09, 2022, 02:16:49 PM
but following this idea, do you think it's easier for series A teams remain on top and never fall for series B?

in a fast google search I just read that last time 4 teams fell from series A to B (not sure if its like that all the time)
from 128 teams in total this is only 3.125%

But this is also normal! There are few places to get off.

Normally there are only 2 or 3 places to drop down from a division (at least in the European championships it is like that). There are usually about 4 or 5 clubs, which you have forecasts to go down, but only two go down, so there's always a good chance you won't go down. Therefore, a club that rises, as long as it can guarantee to stay in these places, will make it to get another season in the top division.

yes, I went to search it because I'm not that much into sports so didn't even know about it.
And is it right to think that if there are 4 teams going down there are also 4 coming up from series B to A?
2594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Axie Infinity - A new Ethereum game similar to CryptoKitties [SPECIAL PRE-SALE] on: April 08, 2022, 10:01:28 PM
Damnit guys that explains why binance pump cartel pumps it this much. I cant even imagine where it goes with that much capital. Still from the investment standpoint I do not see how Axie is better than small capped competing coins with tons of room for growth. Potential upside and percentage is what matters. Unduly overvalued.

do you realize they're the biggest NFT game with billions in revenue last year alone?
and the biggest dapp in DAU?

I mean, it's not like our average shitcoin...

didn't even know about Karakajin's situation so went to google it

Russia’s Sergey Karjakin banned from chess for supporting invasion of Ukraine

idk, even though I disagree with him I don't like the cancellation culture, I don't think a GM should be banned from playing because he supports the war and the president of his country, his ideology won't affect the way he plays and has no relation to chess so what is the point?

everything turned into politics lately.
Us vs them taken to the extreme.
2596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Brasileirão 2022 - Brazilian Championship Serie A on: April 08, 2022, 09:34:50 PM
But that won't solve the small club's problem - lack of money.
It is true that being in "Serie A" will bring more money, but it will also have more expenses, as in longer trips.
This in turn would lower the competitive levels of "series A", which could further solidify the big clubs.

I had a colleague, who played for the amateur club, in the lower division. When we talked about what their goal was for the season, he replied that it was second. I asked why. The answer was that if they get first, they will go up in division and that will increase expenses that would cost the club more money, which would no longer be viable.

I also agree with what @alegotardo said, this is relative!!

When a team from series C or series B can move up in category/level, consequently they will get several sponsors and financial help for the team.
But to maintain this consistency in a series A, for example, the team needs to stand out, evolve and especially have a good board of director to help the team

on point!
it can turn into a positive feedback loop

but following this idea, do you think it's easier for series A teams remain on top and never fall for series B?

In reality I think the challenge is for the people, not for the industry
much easier to be able to create addicting games and get people to spend their money than to avoid these games.
It's true that's how it should go for the companies. Making something interesting for the gamblers for which will make us spend a lot and it is unavoidable because it brings something that we would like to have fun and as well as get some benefits from it. And as you've said about having the social media, they can make use of it and maximize the potential from getting more customers there. The fact is what you've said that the challenge is for us if most ads are going to appear almost everywhere since majority of the people today are in the internet.
Well there are two very interesting points, firstly I have seen that there are many people who previously in their lives as young people were not interested in the game in any of its phases, in fact they were against it, I do not know if it is because of the pandemic or for another reason, but when affirming that many people are more involved in the internet, they realize that what they frequent the most are social networks, in fact it is not like before, that the social networks with the highest traffic such as Facebook ( Meta ), and Twitter were the kings , now there is Instagram and Tik Tok (which has never been to my liking) are frequenting there a lot, so what other better movement is coming if not out there? also the metaverses are the next movement, everything is clear.

when it comes to social network age profiles probable vary a lot from website to website
I can't stand TikTok, it's impossible for me to spend more than 5 minutes there, I don't have it installed on my phone, but my little cousin loves it...
I don't use facebook anymore, but my grandpa enjoys it...
so... it varies.

the next social network probably won't be what we are expecting

https://twitter.com/punk6529/status/1424127515476598796?s=20&t=mOGHVgnq-HE0xCcsfgJqPQ

Quote
Meme
noun
1. A unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
2. Any unit of culturalinformation, such as a practice or idea, that is transmittedverbally or by repeatedaction from one mind to another.
3. A self-propagating unit of cultural evolution having a resemblance to the gene (the unit of genetics).

- descentralizar o poder
- democratizar o acesso ao valor e à informação
- take the red pill (btc)
- ultra sound money (eth)
- the bitcoin standard
- o super ciclo
...
a lista continua.

"Still, as a mother who wants to make sure her children are safe and happy, I worry. And I think back to how I might have done things differently. Parents should decide for themselves what works for their family, but I probably would have waited longer before putting a computer in my children’s pockets. Phones and apps aren’t good or bad by themselves, but for adolescents who don’t yet have the emotional tools to navigate life’s complications and confusions, they can exacerbate the difficulties of growing up: learning how to be kind, coping with feelings of exclusion, taking advantage of freedom while exercising self-control. It’s more important than ever to teach empathy from the very beginning, because our kids are going to need it."
