2581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: $60+ in fees for a single withdraw. Could exchanges survive this? on: February 05, 2021, 05:37:54 PM
An exchange will always be adjusted for their withdrawal fees to the recommend amount of transaction fees in the networks, so they are always safe for the fees and they will survive even there are high fees.  The problem is us(the user), there's nothing we can is to accept those consequences of facing high fee upon having withdrawal.  If your local exchange doesn't support altcoin that has a low fee upon withdrawal, you must find a way to lower the cost of the fee.

In my country, we have a local wallet that supports XRP and convert to fiat, we can cut the high fees from exchange to my local wallet using XRP.  So, if I have Ethereum or Bitcoin on exchnage which is we know that these two coins are having high fees, I trade to XRP and then withdraw and convert to fiat.
2582  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My 1 month testing trade result $500 profit on: February 05, 2021, 05:11:10 PM
Keep it up mate, that will surely motivate new traders to expand their knowledge and skills in trading to gain profit like you.  But remember not too much greed, it might end up losing your profit sooner or later.  Good for you that you have seen your profit in just 1 month, but that's too early and might your lucky enough at this time.  Remember to have always a better plan and stick to it whatever happens.

Can you tell us now in here if what kind of strategy you've used?

Anyway, congratulation.
2583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Making money with 0-confirmations spending, what are legal risks? on: February 05, 2021, 04:31:48 PM
As the owner of the mixer seems to lack skills to properly configure the mixer, I doub't he is having skills to trace me. I plan to mix the coins elsewhere after I get it.
There might a chance that could they trace you if they figure out a massive loss of their profit because of the loopholes you've said.  There's an agency that can able to trace and track down Bitcoin transactions or any transactions related to the blockchain (chainalysis.com).  But I think if that is worth it for them to recover their loss and pay for that cost.

It seems this case belonged to cybercriminals and I think your friend might be at risk because that is illegal, they might call him a theft or hacker.

However, it is impossible if the owner of the mixer service won't be noticed about this.  I don't know how their business work but I think they had a full audit, might be weekly or monthly.
2584  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I lower bitcoin network fees? on: February 05, 2021, 03:58:09 PM
Tend to agree with the comments above, there are some Bitcoin wallets that support customize transaction fees and it depends on the wallet that has that feature because there are some wallets that have fixed fees and you won't able to customize.  Even 1 sat/vB you can do this if you're not in hurry but I don't think the 1 sat/vB IF will not be rejected to the mempool network, if it is, it will automatically back into your wallet in approximately 7-14 days.

For the calculation of accurate fees, you might refer to this.

However, I may advise following the required fees in the network, IMO.  It becomes frustrated to wait days or weeks to be confirmed your transaction.

Maybe if you have bulk transactions and if you want to send it at once, you can try Lightning Network and Electrum wallet was supported this feature.
2585  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which website/Platform you are using for trading? on: February 02, 2021, 11:53:49 PM
What are the benefits you experienced in your trading platform/website ?
Personally, I am using Binance. Some of the Binance benefits are listing below;
You can surely enjoy if you are using crypto exchange with the highest trading volume, it will not take a longer time to execute your trading activities because there are a lot of traders.  I tend to agree that there are some benefits if you're using this exchange because this is now the largest exchange worldwide and for sure because they had a better customer supports among others and the best is they had SAFU to assure your fund is safe.

However, leaving a huge fund on an exchange isn't advisable at all.  That's others are preferred to use decentralized exchange than the centralized one.
If you want to know more about DEXs and CEXs, here is I bookmarked, List of Decentralized/Centralized Exchanges.
2586  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Position on: February 02, 2021, 11:24:06 PM
All posted above were right, just single merit and you will pass the Newbie's rank.

Alternatively, you can bypass the few newbie's restrictions, purchase a Copper Membership, and then it will be able for you to wear signature and post images that a newbie rank can't do.  At this moment, it cost 0.00069319 Bitcoin which is a reasonable amount if you had a business here forum, just like establishing an ANN thread and posting images to become attractive to investors.
2587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strategies to save off Bitcoin fees? on: February 02, 2021, 11:06:15 PM
Based on my experience the fees are really high if you are only moving a small amount.

Sometimes I move my earning and I have to pay for $2 to $5 for a single transaction, and if I will only transact like $50, that would certainly hurt me, so for me the best idea to save fees is to limit moving small amount of bitcoin and wait until you accumulate it to a bigger amount so you'll not feel the fee.
No, not that way, you still experience a huge fee or you can't completely avoid the high fee for the microtransaction, or the worst, it might not enough your balance to move because it will eat the whole fee.  But if you have a bulk of transactions and you want to transact them at once, Lightning Network is the best answer, you can save a few fees if you try this.

You can use Electrum wallet for making Lightning Network for microtransactions.  You can create a channel for LN and follow this thread for more information, Electrum Lightning Network walkthrough.
2588  Economy / Exchanges / Re: best place to trade BTC on: February 02, 2021, 05:31:12 PM
There are 3 best exchanges: Binance, Huobi, Kucoin. They have all the criteria you need, i use Binance most often. I will choose Binance if only one option, i believe it is the best right now.
Okay, I tend to agree Binance is the most popular exchange by now and so far they had 4 branches AFAIK.  Due to a large number of Binance traders, it is always good to have trade with a high coin volume exchange and that is their advantage.

These are the four Branches of Binance but ain't sure the last one.
  • Binance
  • Binance.US
  • Binance DEX
  • Binance JEX

IMO, Coinbase doesn't have a good reputation lately, there are too many complaints against them because they are highly regulated by the governments.
If you will use Coinbase for Bitcoin trading, make sure you use Coinbase Pro, the exchange platform, not the Coinbase wallet platform.  The consequence is the terrible fees.
2589  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction Fees Unusually High on: February 02, 2021, 04:58:37 PM
I will keep an eye on mempool.space.
Yes, you can.

In addition to that link given above, you can monitor and calculate mempool size per sat/vB through this tool that I posted below.  In that case, you can monitor when the mempool become low traffic and didn't congested which is most likely on weekend.

You can use these links in monitoring and calculating the mempool size.

If you're not in hurry for your transaction to be confirmed quickly, you can modify it into lower fees and wait more or less a week.  Otherwise, if fees are too much from the required amount of mempool it will be rejected and return to the sender's address for at least 7-14 days, AFAIK.
2590  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bisq exchange 100$ Warning on: February 02, 2021, 03:59:26 PM
Only naive people will fall on this, yes they are.  Without having proper research they are a type of people that easy to be dazzled by money, it's greediness that turns out into a scam or prone to be scammed.  Why you will believe in a $100 giveaway on Bisq exchange, unless if there is an official announcement.

This is a very common fraud story on the Telegram social media, a house of a bunch of scammers that waiting who will be their next victim.  I advise just to avoid clicking if someone will send malicious links.  Talking to random people on Telegram is really strange especially if someone trying to have an offer.

Anyway, this is a great warning to everyone, thank you for this and we hope that there's no victim.  I've done reporting on that account, if that user will be got a spam reports of being a scam, it will automatically appear as a "scam" warning above on the profile.
2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] If you see a WSB coin/token somewhere it's SCAM!! on: February 02, 2021, 03:37:06 PM
Thanks for the warning that surely newbies will eventually fall if there's someone who will exploit this joke.  I don't like this kind of joke, IMO because scammers will find a way how to exploits this, and most commonly those social media groups that will prone to have a victim innocents people.  CMC is very popular and well-known as a market tracker, we can't blame if someone will fall and rob their money in front of them without having proper research.

However, this case was already raised on the scam accusation board.  It might be good if someone who will discuss on the Beginners and Help board too.

We should be thankful for this input and everyone here will be warned.
2592  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Balance not showing in Blockchain.com on: February 02, 2021, 02:58:47 PM
I got all my coins there I have to even if I have to spend $15 for $110 worth of Bitcoin, I have been using blockchain.com but I need money at the moment I still trust Blockchain.com but having to transfer when you need it, and this bug happens is a big concern, I am now using Exodus wallet I'm using both but between the two Exodus has not given me this kind of concern, well not yet.
Good thing you have it now your Bitcoin, I have the same doubt to them, that's again the bug problem that usually Blockchain wallet users experienced, and that will take a few hours before it will appear in your balance even though the transaction is already confirmed.

It is now $15 for the priority transaction fee option?  That's a problem because you can't customize the fee, they had only two options the regular which is 1+ hours, and the priority option is 60 mins.

If you want to transfer your Bitcoin or in Exodus wallet is fine, choose SegWit wallet address because you can completely modify the fees as you want.
2593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am new here please guide me on: February 01, 2021, 05:28:55 PM
Welcome home if you are a crypto enthusiast.

Do as suggested above and that's good for you improving your potential to rank up and be an established member here in the forum (forgot for a while how to earn).  Spend more time reading than posting, understand very well those pinned posts in every board and sub-boards that you will visit, the reason for the topic was pinned because it has an informative content that should remain always on that top so that it will visible the newcomers.

There are many things or technical stuff to learn, just focus first on that, and later earning is easy for you, plus factor is you will easily avoid scam and fraud activities which are common in the bounty section.
2594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think need bitcoin blockchain improvement? on: February 01, 2021, 05:13:06 PM
Since Lightning Network is very young at this moment, we didn't feel yet any improvements since this is the most answer to those people who wanted to lower the fees, the Lightning Network support, and use SegWit wallet.

There are some exchanges and wallets that supported Lightning Network and SegWit wallet.  Just like this article says that UK Exchange CoinCorner Adds Bitcoin Lightning Network Support, CoinCorner, Bitfinex, and River Financial are those exchange platforms that supported LN.  Might from time to time, this LN will become widely used but I'm afraid about this Bitcoin's Lightning Network: Three Possible Problems, will probably the reason isn't easy to adopt on most platforms related to a Bitcoin transaction.

IMO, we're our own way of improving the Bitcoin transaction problem, for now, find a better alternative to lessen the fees.
2595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you buy 1 bitcoin and hold for years in your own offline wallet, taxes? on: February 01, 2021, 04:33:56 PM
For the best - ask a professional and accredited local tax advisor.
For now, this is good advice, just seek a professional legal advisor before making such a decision regarding taxes because IMO, the US has very strict when it comes to taxes.  They treat Cryptocurrencies as assets or property same as the country of Canada, Australia, and the UK.

I'm no expert on this but here are my tips AFAIK, every transaction of Bitcoin was recorded on the chain network, you can trace there and also trace the price when you purchase your Bitcoin  10 years ago.  You can calculate and determine the gain or losses based on the purchased price back then and the price at this moment if you will transfer on the exchange.

But if you're not sure about this, much better do the suggestion above to find a better professional advisor.
2596  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain Trading Wallet to wallet on: February 01, 2021, 04:00:16 PM
You're not facing this problem alone, there are too many Blockchain.com wallet users that brought up their problem here related to yours.
For example, this thread is most likely the same as your problem, Transferring from trading wallet to wallet? Blockchain. Com, or scroll down on this board and you will see different issues towards that Bitcoin web wallet.

Yeah, you need to wait more or less 7 days for the transaction to be confirmed, it shows insufficient funds because it was already transacted.
I think you will have a lesson to learn from this and give you a reason not to use again this wallet if ever you decided to transfer your fund, I suggest this wallet, Electrum.  It's free to download and make sure to verify the official website first before you download, it better to have full control over your fund.
2597  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bears did that just kill? on: January 31, 2021, 03:40:26 PM
Last few days when there's a short pump of Bitcoin right after Elon Musk changing his Twitter bio with hashtags Bitcoin, everyone happily sells and cuts their profit.  But it might be a coincidence or that when the Binance exchange announced a suspension of all withdrawals, they notice that there is a large increase of withdrawal request which is obviously they are dumpers or something new users who have a weak hand that all wanted is gain a small profit.

What on my mind is because we have different investors of Bitcoin, not just individual investors but it also has institutional investors which are most of them are big companies who adopted Bitcoin that surely kills bears right after massive surging in the market.
2598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any clue about the amount to buy or sell to influence the price trend? on: January 31, 2021, 03:00:46 PM
If you're talking about the recent price increase of Dogecoin right after fuelled by the memes that came from market influencers and now we saw that the XRP has a huge pump due to the price manipulation of the group which is clearly a pump and dump group.

That's right, it's a pump and dump group which is they only know how to make a better move because you don't know when the exact point to exit the market when there is a pump.  It's very risky for you if you want to join that kind of group, most likely, the organizer of the group will have more benefits than the members.

For example, when Elon Musk changed his Twitter bio with the hashtag name of Bitcoin.  At that moment Bitcoin was suddenly increasing with no specific causes why it has an increase.  Therefore, there's no strategy and I suggest focus on Bitcoin because it has less manipulation than other altcoins, after Dogecoin and XRP had a sudden rise, what next?

STAY AWAY from the market influence price trend, they are just hyping the price.
2599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: xrp pump on: January 31, 2021, 02:40:28 PM
It's very risky to invest as there is a rumor that the sudden price increased was a pump and dump by the group that has thousands of subscribers.  Something a group that comes from Telegram, it's most likely they manipulated the price of XRP that causes hype and makes the price rapidly increase.

See this Tweet.
https://twitter.com/UnderTheBreach/status/1355543097271341056
It says, "BUYANDHOLDXRP" which is clearly having a pump and dump by the group.

Good thing Bitcoin isn't like Dogecoin and XRP, Bitcoin has real investors and not hype by known influencer people.
2600  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buying no kyc bitcoin on: January 31, 2021, 12:30:22 PM
Can you please suggest which is the best and what is the safest way to buy bitcoin.
If you're concerned is the KYC verification upon purchasing Bitcoin you can search decentralized exchange sites which KYC isn't required.
Have you tried Bisq? Or here in the forum, Currency exchange, this board is what you need to visit and of course, choose reputable members to deal with or escrow service here in the forum.

Another question is regarding gift cards, which are the most sought after gift cards to buy bitcoin?
Are there any gift cards accepted globally which I can use to buy bitcoin from overseas / foreign nationals.
Ain't an expert about buying gift cards because I haven't tried this but I saw a thread that has a list] Gift cards providers, it might help you to find a good one.

Alternatively, Bitcoin ATM near your place, if there is, might also a way to buy Bitcoin for you if this isn't prohibited in your place.
