Interesting coin, I'm holding quite a bit and looking forward to the future. Going to get me some blocknet and give it a chance to make something special. See where that goes...

Another thing, I really like the idea of fiberos. Has anyone proposed creating an android modified rom that has fibreos features?

Keep up the good work!

It's a member of the Blocknet! I will buy some as I have of other Blocknet coins. I am full of the joy!  Grin

Welcome , take a closer look also at development and roadmaps

We hope you will be satisfied with your decision

2583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: October 21, 2014, 02:42:02 PM

You can 'hear hear' all you want but also "- BlockNET real value SHOULD equate the total combined value of every coin, mathematically, practically is another story, but still there is not promise out there" is idiotic.

It's not like you take-over each of the participating coins and their intrinsic value becomes Blocknets value. This is just plain retarded. You're just trying to copy Supernet's idea and try to make some money in between. At least Supernet's assets are backed by a 10% buy in, which DOES give it an intrinsic value.

You are just talking crap about that Blocknet's value is derived by it's so called 'incredible utility'. This is fine and all but you need to prove that first. Stating that mathematically (or practically) the value should be equal to the combined value of the participating coins is just a complete SCAM where you try to screw people over by luring them with a fictional ROI.

And I'm not stating anything about the concept or the technology, I support that, but the way you try to make money is just, well... Shame on you...  Lips sealed

There are at least three fundamental differences between the Blocknet and Supernet:

- XBridge is not an RPC call protocol, it's a true P2P protocol
- There's no central or core currency, unlike SuperNET, which uses BTCD for this
- Joining the Blocknet does not involve 10% of a coin's money supply being bought and centrally controlled

Shame on you

Again, I'm not stating anything about the concept or technological part except for the fact that Supernet is the basis of this concept.
I'm talking about this ICO where they are trying to lure 'investors' based on fraudulent claims. They removed it now from the OP but really, is that the kind of people you want to do business with and just 'give' them 1 million dollar...

If you believe in your idea and business, just start and take some risk, just like the real world. Greedy devs over here all want to make a profit before even starting something, it's ridiculous. Entrepreneurship is about believing in your ideas, taking a risk by setting it up, investing your own time and money and maybe, just maybe, make some money if your succesfull and people believe in your idea. Not the other way around!

If you take a closer look i am a member of one of the participating teams

As you say we believe in our idea, business and BlockNet

We took a risk, started already and we are doing great, brought also some innovations already

We invested only our own time and money

We are setting up great services for investors who can benefit with BlockNet even more

Poeple are believing in our idea and want our coin to evolve more and more, and get our coin to the top as much as we do!

Good Luck

Interested in buying in with a supported currency. How will those currencies have a 10% discount if tokens are just sold on Bittrex?

There will be pairs made like participating currency/blocknet on 10% discount

I want to clarify, that although without some sort of tangible proof-of-concept I believe this is purely a vehicle for market manipulation, I also fully support this project and will be following it closely.  Grin

Personally I'd love some proof-of-concept code to be released prior to the ITO.

Part of the XBridge code is actually completed so this might be possible.

Regardless of that, the XBridge protocol is based on the Xnode protocol that XC uses. If anyone is worried about development talent or the ability to deliver, take a look at XC's timeline.

Now pool all the developer talent from all the participating coins.

This code will get nailed down good and proper.

Basically they are replacing btc as a median and using blocknet shares in its place. Thats what it looks like to me when its all boiled down. Rather than pay tx's fees to miners using btc and an exchange fee. You use blocknet shares and the fee is split up among the holders of the shares.
You would still have to pay transaction fees to miners of each coin. I still don't see the need for a microfee on top of the fee for using the "services". This shareholder "micro-fee" fee seems to exist only so shares can exist so there can be an IPO. Again, what's to prevent a fork of Blocknet without microfees?

Thank you for the update, but it is still unclear why Blocknet shares are needed at all.

Blocknet fees have to be paid in something right?

We're offering the community a chance to earn Blocknet fees by owning shares (tokens).

In return, the Blocknet gets development funding.

Quick feedback on fibrelock:
It's a petty that entering a pattern can only be done by clicking all the buttons seperatly (click, release, click release), rendering it more of a keypad without characters on the buttons.
I was expecting more of a 'swipe' feel similar to the android lock, where you keep the mouse button pressed and make some sort of figure, releasing the mousebutton only after finishing the figure.
This would improve the value of the feature massively and make it truly userfriendly!
Maybe something that can be worked on in future releases. Not that it is a priority. :p

^^ Nice idea

^^ Thanks Mxxxxxx!

Dont forget you get a 10% discount on the ITO price when purchasing with participating coins. There's surely some profits to be made on the deal.

A little summary for some important questions and answers :

I would like to apologise for the inclusion of the "Reasons to buy Blocknet shares" paragraph in the OP.

It was not intended as investment advice, but rather as a cursory summation of fundamentals.

It has now been removed.

Thank you for the update, but it is still unclear why Blocknet shares are needed at all.

i was merely commenting on others points that they brought up while injecting my own point of view that i don't think tokens are needed in order to do currency conversions, which both supernet and blocknet use. Bit/Black halo has already shown that crosschain trading can be done without the need for a token. This is merely my opinion as a person.

You're right, Blocknet tokens are not used for currency conversions.

They're used to allocated fee-revenue to holders.

They're also used to express the value of the Blocknet.

And, lastly, they're used to enable community-ownership of Blocknet assets.

I want to clarify, that although without some sort of tangible proof-of-concept I believe this is purely a vehicle for market manipulation, I also fully support this project and will be following it closely.  Grin

coins like ppc or doge would bring a huge userbase to blocknet which is just as important as the unique and innovative features of the current blocknet coins. so this is not about neither the one or the other , both well known coins and new innovative coins can benefit from taking part in the blocknet.

but blocknet had to start somewhere and its easier to start this with smaller coin teams. when this turns out to run smoothly i think a lot of old school coins will join and they are very welcome. If you are one hosting a service like XC private transaction by holding 1k xc you welcome them with open arms.  Smiley

I think the BlockNet targets tech, not userbase. For real? Doge, gtfo with that shitcoin, it's just a plain stupid copy-paste of litecoin, no tech at all in that one.

You're right. All current participating coins are included for their genuine (and relevant) innovation.

Personally I'm not averse to large user-bases by any means though. :-)

2591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XC][XCurrency] Decentralised Trustless Privacy Platform / Encrypted XChat / Pos on: October 21, 2014, 11:06:14 AM

I must admit, I am trying hard to understand how this all works but I am stumped... Blocknet, ITO's, 10% off sales for coin/share purchases, Web 3.0, XC Inc Shares, Micropayments, XNodes, XChat, XBridge, XMixer .....this is the most confusing coin ever......Good luck marketing this to your every day user.

Edit: And I am concerned by the statements above - it gives the impression of a desperate attempt at a cash grab...."combined market caps of all the coins" come on...

You should guys visit BlockNet thread too, a lot of good info there

Support , retweet , post about Fibre Wink

So the higher price of Fibre before the BlockNet ITO the more shares you can buy with it , Fibre coins traded for BlockNet shares won`t be dumped, which means another price increase for FIBRE!!!

Remember though main profit in the future will be coming from FIBRE and its services hosted by BlockNet!

Now combine BlockNet with these babies and Rev4 innovations and profitable features for investors which are not revealed yet ^^

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Hi All,

We have decided to hold back the Revision 4 Roadmap, as we do not want anyone to steal our ideas. We will release the Revision 4 Road Map when Revision 3 has a certain release date.

In the mean time we are releasing our Core Development Road Map, which will be delivered alongside the Revision 3. The main focus of the core development is to increase adoption and our exposure.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>UPDATE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Hi Guys,

Please see the below Road Map that outline the next stage of development. Revision 2 brought a fully anonymous solution to Fibre, Revision 3 is all about accessibility and Revision 4 will be targeting adoption.

After a successful round of internal testing we are proud to make available the Bitcoin + FibreLock wallet for Windows.
From today we will start to support future releases of the Bitcoin wallet to include the FibreLock security system, as soon as possible after the official releases.

Bitcoin-Qt v0.9.3 Including FibreLock

Following shortly we will be getting some trusted peer reviews of the FibreLock integration so you can continue to feel assured and confident in us as a development team.

Note: as with any wallet upgrade, ALWAYS make an encrypted backup of your wallet before upgrading, and if you have any questions, please ask Smiley

I see the GUI is just a little different, or maybe it's my resolution, but feels nice and works just like Fibre Fibrelock. I laugh every time I bring up the BTC wallet, it's so --pac man.

Yeah the only visual difference is in the passcode entry / encryption dialog. it's behind the scene that the new security feature makes a real difference.

Here is an up to date pic of the wallet running

Amazing work again Bobby !

I'm gonna pass on this. I don't trust Dan Metcalf and I especially don't like the newbie accounts spamming in this thread with half-assed english. Good luck though, I know how hard this business can be and I truly do hope that this is not just another scam.

Well...

a) It's not Dan Metcalf's project. It's every participating coin's project.

b) Most posters so far are members or full members.

Come on, join in!

It will be awesome adventure in crypto world!

Glad to be part of this amazing project
