Wow, starting at 3%? Sounds like the best deal in town. I just signed up...looking forward to diversifying some of my portfolio with Cryptco Miner.
2582  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] ANACS MS65/66 Graded Brass and Silver Casascius Coins on: September 05, 2014, 09:45:42 PM
I've been gone for a few weeks, though I'd check in with the Casacius Crew (yes I spelled it with an error because we're all as valuable as those error coins, ha).

What's new with the Casascius coins? Has buyer demand gone to the moon? Is Mike still not producing any? Are the Litecoin versions of the Casascius coin still selling for higher multiples than the most valuable of Casascius coins?

It's good to be back...
2583  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will that be debit, credit or Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2014, 05:58:51 AM
It's all about infrastructure.

Once the infrastructure is in place for retailers to easily receive the payment and for consumers to pay with BTC the two parties of the transaction will join in the happy BTC dance! I look forward to seeing it mature.

It would be great to have a BTC debit card that links to whatever address I select - like Coin but with a BTC option.
2584  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★Bitin.io » Instant Cryptocoin Exchange » Campaign, Sig & Personal Msg ★☆★ on: August 24, 2014, 05:39:39 AM
I'm strongly NOT advising anyone to work with lighlord, since he failed to fulfill his promises. For more info see here.

If you read, he says he started a new service here.
Although he should still pay off remaining balances.

But Lightlord has yet to address the fact that his rules are 100 posts max per week but he most recently only paid out on 100 posts per two weeks!

I also got shortchanged, not paid for 88 posts during  the last week. I've PM'ed Lightlord and waiting for a resolution. I believe Lightlord is an honest guy and I hope this issue can get fixed, that is that I can get paid in full for what I'm owed.
2585  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ 777Coin Signature & Personal MSG Campaign ★☆★ Newb,jr,mem Ref Bonus 10%! on: August 24, 2014, 05:25:54 AM
Lightlord, I have a complaint.

You state that payment is every 7-10 days and that it's 100 posts max per week (implying per 7-10 day period). You just took 20 days to pay out but only counted posts, for me at least, for the 100 max for one 7-10 day period (1 week). I should have gotten paid on 188 posts, not 100, since YOU took two weeks/periods to pay us!

You paid me .005, however I should have been paid 0.0094

I'll PM you as well, but I want other members to be able to know of this concern and respond as needed.
2586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin at the Pump, ideas on: August 21, 2014, 05:09:45 AM
Are you serious? There's internet access anywhere you can get a signal from a satellite. All the gas stations have to do is put the equipment to accept and transact payments.

QR code would make it very easy but it would be required.
2587  Economy / Economics / Re: What have you invested since the recession and how are they doing? on: August 19, 2014, 06:40:45 AM
Stocks and mutual funds mostly. Last year was fantastic, I earned close to 30%, this year has been a slog, barely making 5%.

It's a tough time right now in the US stock market, things could be slow for a while or some good news could keep the market humming along. I'd be happy with 10% a year. The International (non US) stock market has been worse for a lot longer.

Bitcoin offers a nice alternative, for folks that have the stomach.
2588  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 19, 2014, 06:33:05 AM
Do you guys here that? Listen carefully...that faint sucking sound. Do you hear it? It's getting louder....and louder. What is it?

Ohhh, I know what it is, it's every Member and Full Member pulling their PrimeDice ad off their signature...

ha, just when every thread you read would have a PrimeDice sig. I wonder which dice firm is going to fill the void. Now would be a GREAT opportunity for someone new to take PrimeDice's spot on the daily billboards. You can't go anywhere in this forum without seeing PrimeDice, I bet by this time next year they'll be seen like a rare bird.

iCrypt, justbtcme, you made a deal!

I happy to hear it! I hope by connecting you two I was able to get both of you a good deal, a fair deal.

I'll be keeping an eye out for deals for both of you in the future. Once a broker, always a broker.

2592  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Derivatives on: August 18, 2014, 05:09:08 AM
Are you looking for something like futures? If so then you might as well use margin trading (it really is the same thing as trading futures, with only technical differences), which is allowed at btc-e and bitfinex. If you are looking for options then you can try updown.bt which allows binary options on a number of markets.

How is trading on margin the same as trading futures?

Trading on margin is trading on borrowed money. Trading futures is making a bet one which direction the price of the investment will go in the future.
2593  Economy / Economics / Re: Someone is buying ... a lot more than in May on: August 18, 2014, 05:03:51 AM
I think you guys are willing to believe any sentence as fact as long as it supports your belief that the price of BTC going to the moon.

Why does the difference in trading volume from May vs. Aug matter? And if it does matter how does it indicate there is a small group of large buyers?

Trading volume can't tell you (in any way from the data you've presented) who initiated the transaction - groups of people saying "I gotta sell these bitcoins!" or groups of people saying "I gotta buy me some bitcoins!". The only way we know that there are more sellers than buyers (or vice versa) is the movement of the price.

As for how the trading volume increased from May to Aug, it could be genuine increases in use (like among new users) or it could be that more people are worried about the future of Bitcoin (so they're selling and there are people picking up those coins at lower and lower prices), or it could be that Bitcoin holders are buying goods from retailers and retailers are cashing out...it's probably a combination of these things.

The one fact about trading that you should all keep in mind when thinking about how the market is moving is that: The price dictates who started the trade/transaction, if the price is going down there are more sellers than buyers and if the price is going up there are more buyers than sellers.

The time periods you mention are both periods where the price went down, no?

Let me know if I'm missing something.
2594  Other / Politics & Society / Re: tag lines for a Bitcoin [Poltical] Party: on: August 18, 2014, 04:48:27 AM
Why should their be a political party for Bitcoin?

Having a Bitcoin political party would eventually drive people from all other political parties not to support Bitcoin, not to use it, which would ruin the idea of Bitcoin.
2595  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Very Rare Casascius 25 BTC - 2011 Coin on: August 18, 2014, 01:23:05 AM
The "Hope Diamond" of the Casascius coin world...or would that be the 1B Silver with gold heart?

Either way, consider me subscribed to this sale. Where's that smiley guy with the popcorn?
2596  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Looking to buy Casascius coins on: August 18, 2014, 01:21:50 AM
Your 2012 5 BTC with AND without error are right here -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=741776.0

And the bidding is incredibly low right now, you could walk away with a major deal.

Consider me your broker in this transaction, if you like, and if a successful purchase is made consider tipping me a finder's fee. Address is in my profile.

Let me know if you want me to broker a transaction, i'm happy to play intermediary.
2597  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitin.io » Instant Cryptocoin Exchange » No accounts, emails, or passwords on: August 18, 2014, 01:14:29 AM
Let me know if you need some trustworthy folks to help you advertise Bitin.io, I'd be happy to offer my signature space to your new venture. It seems like a great product and one that will clearly fill a need in the marketplace.

Keep it up!

2599  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Americans Getting Poorer on: August 17, 2014, 07:07:24 AM
America is bound to get poorer especially considering the scale of it manufacturing and how archaic it is in comparison to direct competitors.

What was once a strong economy relying on export when it comes on to the several sectors of the industry is now solely relying on internal market, such as Automobile sector, Energy sector, Bulding and construction system ...ect these sectors cannot match their European counterparts in terms of quality or the Chinese in terms of price, heck even the Koreans fill the gap between Eu and Chinese products, The only way to keep a lead is to with great added value product, and US manufacturing is not giving that except maybe in the defense sector (but I think this is also due to the limitations imposed on other nations and they are losing the edge here examples of recent failures : F22 /F35, LCS....ect ect)

No the US has a strong lead when it comes hightech, especially to the internet sector, this is also thanks to the monopoly they created in 90s, once all the IPs and Patents expires things might change even, here so what to do ? move on to the next big thing and always relay on products/sectors/jobs with huge added value as opposed to simple stuff because they'll never match the price of the Chinese, Indians, and even North African countries want a piece of the cake

America's economy and innovation is still strong. A combination of improved technology and other countries being able to manufacture products better as caused the auto and manufacturing sectors to shift out of the country and be replaced by service, information, and tech sector growth.

The "American's getting poorer" issue mostly comes from the increased access to credit, which enables someone who lives on a low middle class salary to live like someone with an upper middle class salary by buying things on debt that grows and grows.

When people shun credit except for education, homes, and starting business - all endeavors that result in improving/increasing income - their wealth will improve as well. The problem is getting everyone to reset to their proper level of consumption/living. It will result in people buying fewer things, which will hurt the economy a bit, for a little while. If we could endure that reset period we could be well on our way to more prosperous course for personal finance.

Btw, going into debt for a degree that DOESN'T result in income to pay for that debt plus some isn't going to help...another plague currently...

It is for the same job, that's why it's a fact to be known. The spread is probably coming down though, more woman are getting paid what they deserve...at least for equal performance.
