261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What was your worst mistake in Gambling? on: December 27, 2017, 07:03:32 AM
One of the biggest mistake a gambler can do is to keep going despite experiencing losses to the point that they won't have anything to bet. We all know how tempting gambling can be. It gives us the notion that we can win back all our loses in just one round instantly which is why we would choose to keep going in high hopes that the table would turn around. The fact is, the chances gets lower as we lose more money for betting. We should learn how to have self control and when it's enough.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin reaches one million dollars... on: December 26, 2017, 04:01:16 PM
When Bitcoin reaches ONE MILLION DOLLARS (W.O.W), all of us would be instant millionaires for sure!!! I guess what I would do is have those Bitcoin converted to fiat if cryptocurrency has the same state in the future as it does today. After having a part of the Bitcoin in cash, I would start establishing my build and sell business together with my dad and brother. The others I would keep in Bitcoin, still in high hopes that it can reach greater heights; but $1,000,000!! That is just surreal!
263  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? on: December 26, 2017, 09:57:59 AM
What tomorrow brings is uncertain in the world of Bitcoin, which is why its hard to state what Bitcoin economy will be 10 years from now. With the progress and developments made by Bitcoin, it will most definitely have a bright future ahead of it. Hopefully 10 years from now, people would be aware and genuinely knowledgeable of its structure so that it can establish its identity with dignity and not be involved on other aspects that it does not promote. Bitcoin will continue to flourish and I hope many people with benefit from it.
264  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with the price today? on: December 26, 2017, 08:24:36 AM
As of the day after Christmas, Bitcoin prices are slowly rising. Compared to the previous days, it is now on going through the $15,000 - $16,000 range. This can be justified due to the fact that the holidays is coming to its end. Although the new year is approaching, we may experience a few corrections as we reach this day, but afterwards, I expect Bitcoin prices to gradually increase over time and hopefully reach another remarkable rate soon.
265  Other / Off-topic / Re: what wallet can you recommend? on: December 25, 2017, 08:39:57 PM
Choosing the right wallet is affected by many factors. It can range from the country you belong in down to the OS of the smartphone you own. I guess you really have to do an intricate research to assure that your wallet can provide all your needs. What advice I can give you is that the first attribute you should see in your wallet is that it is trustworthy and that it assures your security. It should ask for verification without being invasive. Furthermore, your wallet should be flexible. Some wallets allow transactions with other wallets to be smooth while others have some bugs which can cause delay. Lastly this wallet should allow you to see daily real time updates with regards to Bitcoin. This will help you keep track of your coins. Good luck in finding the best wallet that will suit your needs!
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: practical? on: December 25, 2017, 07:48:35 PM
Christmas is a time of giving. I agree to this but what if you shouldn't have enough budget in this season.?
You can give your service to others, you can say good thoughts or you can give a little. If you have altcoins you can share it if you want.
After Christmas is New year another budgeting.
What is the practical way to do? Share your thoughts. Your idea is appreciated. Thanks

The  practical way to do in this coming of new years eve,is by simple spend all your time into your family, and celebrate in a simple way without spending to much money.christmas and new years eve are season of giving and sharing, as a bitcoiners maybe we contribute a simple amount of our profit  by giving a small tokens of joy to those  who needed most, especially to those street children.being a practical is not only by not spend to much, but giving to your humankind a  small amount is much more  better of being a practical.

I agree with alfd75. Christmas or any other season is not about the gifts. Material things don't mean anything if it is not supported with time, love, and peace. This season of giving, may we all remember that investing yourself emotionally by choosing to spend your time and give your support to your family means more than any material thing can give. Bitcoin and other earnings is just an additional blessing. Let's remember to focus on what really matters and that is the love we share with family and other people we are associated with.
267  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Taxation on Bitcoin transfers on: December 25, 2017, 07:08:11 PM
I feel like it's kind of unfortunate for transaction fees to be taxed. Having the procedure of the transfers delayed is one thing, taxing it is another and it seems impractical really. What would you do if you would lose all your earning from just transaction fees alone because it requires almost half of what you will have to transfer? That is just so heavy to take on the side of the user. I feel like this just ruins the beauty of Bitcoin and how it allows easy and flexible transactions. With this form of taxation, it will hinder people to enjoy their Bitcoins to the fullest.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: Becoming wealthy and social responsibility on: December 25, 2017, 06:00:49 PM
I really appreciate your thoughtfulness and I can feel how you want to give back and share your blessings. I hope that everyone here understands that we are not only responsible for ourselves but especially to those who are in need of help, since we are not just man for ourselves in this world but also man for others. Somehow I believe that we are all connected to one another in different ways and aspect and this is why we should learn to value social responsibility. I believe that if we learn to genuinely care for others, we would be blessed a thousandfold back. So let us all learn to share and be a blessing to others, not only this season but everyday.
269  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t be impulsive! Buy and Hold Bitcoin until 2020! on: December 25, 2017, 07:51:50 AM
I love the positivity in this thread. The massive growth people are hoping for through the sources shared is actually really big that it can be unbelievable for now because we are currently experiencing a correction that might take awhile due to the season. These growths may be possible but wouldn't be it too soon to tell? Bitcoin volatility can be so hard to track and predict. Stating that it could reach that value at this time can be uncertain, but we are all hopeful as this would benefit us greatly.
270  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will Bitcoin stop its correction? on: December 24, 2017, 08:38:06 PM
It is actually a drop because people are selling their bitcoins for expenditures on Christmas as it is their important need but it is sure that after Christmas the price will rise again and it will rise with a fastest speed after that because after no one will need to sell on high amount and the traders will see the price at lower value and they will rush to buy it. I have experience with bitcoin and this situation happens like before and just like before the price will increase twice in the coming weeks, once after the 25 December and after that the price will again pump higher at New year.

I agree with Vikingr. People are caught up with the moment and Christmas is no exception, which is why there is an excessive amount of Bitcoin that is being used during this season. I think that among all the events that can occur in a year, Christmas is the most costly one since it is the season of giving which all the more gives the reason for users to spend their Bitcoins. I am really positive that after this season is over, Bitcoin would be back on track with its increase in rate. As we end Christmas and approach the New Year, Bitcoin prices may still be shaky by that time since both seasons yields for celebrations. After the New Year, I have high hopes that Bitcoin rates would rise since the people finally overcame its correction.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you donate Bitcoin for the poor and needy? on: December 24, 2017, 07:05:45 PM
Bitcoin is something of high value and I wish mos people are aware of that. You may have good intentions of donating it to those who are in need but it will somehow be useless if the receiver has no idea of its structure and most importantly, its value. Donating Bitcoins would truly be a generous act that would benefit many if they will know how to use it accordingly. Since Bitcoin is not really recognized here in the Philippines, what one can do is have the Bitcoin exchanged for fiat then donate it since money is what they see as something valuable. It may defeat the purpose of Bitcoin, but hey, you still get to help at the end of the day no matter what.
272  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Finally Bitcoin is legal in my country 8) on: December 24, 2017, 05:05:03 PM
That's good to hear! With Bitcoin being legal in your country, you can maximize its potential. I hope you put it in to good use that would not lead to the abuse of its usage. With regards to our country, i guess Bitcoin is legal but not controlled by the government and I hope that it stays that way since I feel like its more at peace with this state. Maybe some rules about hacking or stealing Bitcoin can be done, bit with taxing, I think it would just pave way for the worsening of corruption here in our country.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: Can cryptocurrencies make physical money disappear? on: December 24, 2017, 03:06:13 PM
I don't think so. Cryptocurrencies and fiat needs each other for them to exist since they support one another somehow. If we solely have cryptocurrency, complications are bound to occur since a lot of people are not aware of its structure and its usage. It's accessibility is one thing to consider since this can be accessed online or virtually, where I think most people does not have advantage of. Despite its flexibility, the physicality of fiat allows transactions to be done better and easier which I think is what makes it more preferable. Overall, they have to really coexist since they establish a balance for the preferrability.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Christmas gift on: December 24, 2017, 01:25:18 PM
Receiving Bitcoin as a Christmas gift would be great I think. It will allow you to do things with it that can make you truly happy. With the flexibility of Bitcoin, you can hold it to allow it to grow over time; it can be like an investment on your part. You can also choose to spend this Bitcoin the way you want, you can purchase things or even use it to gamble. With Bitcoin as a gift, you have so much options to use it that Christmas can be truly merry with it. Wishing everybody a Merry Christmas! May you have more Bitcoins!
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: December 23, 2017, 05:42:22 PM
It's all about priority. Basically, what you give time on is what you value more so if you value gambling; it is most likely that the other aspects in your life are compromised and affected accordingly. As a graduating student, the only thing that runs into my mind is to get to that finish line which is why I don't have as much time to give to entertain myself. When the schedule allows and sometimes when I feel like I need to distress, that's when I gamble to release some stress. I guess it's all about self control and priority at the end of the day.
276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Goes Down! Surprising or not on: December 23, 2017, 09:19:02 AM
I am not surprised with the decrease in Bitcoin rates. It actually is normal and expected since it reached a remarkable rate a few weeks back. I believe that each aspect always has an equivalent opposite reaction; so when Bitcoin reached it's peak it will most definitely have a correction that can be quite devastating and overwhelming causing panic selling and the inappropriate usage of this currency. Let's also consider the fact that it is Christmas, many people are in need so that they could buy gifts for others and spend for themselves. Hopefully after this season, Bitcoin rates would start increasing.
277  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Have people been forced to pay tax over Bitcoin yet? on: December 23, 2017, 02:46:15 AM
One of the advantages of Bitcoin is that it doesn't get taxed meaning you get the full worth of what you worked for. No government can meedle into what you have since they don't have any right to do so since there are no laws or any regulations established for the managrment or control of Bitcoin. Also where I come from, people are not so knowledgeable with its structure. So since they are not familiar with it, they don't do anything about it they just let it flow. However, the situation totally differs when you sold your Bitcoin and declare the money you've earned through selling. Exchanging large amount of Bitcoin can also lead their to curiousity. So maybe it is through these actions that people might end up having Bitcoin taxed.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins would it take for you to Quit Gambling Forever? on: December 22, 2017, 05:00:40 PM
I think one of the most distinct characteristic of a gambler is that they would never have enough; they would keep on going even if they don't have anything left. So when it comes to counting how much Bitcoin it would take a gambler to stop gambling forever, I think it can take them more than 50 Bitcoins (when the rate of Bitcoins is not as high) to do so or just even 1 (when 1 Bitcoin equates to a million or so). Maybe if they did have those amount of Bitcoin, it would make gambling more of a habit for them since they are just doing it solely for entertainment since they don't need the money, but nonetheless, I really think it depends on the perception of the person on when he's had enough.
279  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? on: December 21, 2017, 08:11:28 PM
What tomorrow may bring is still unsure in the world of Bitcoin, what more in 10 years? Looking through how  things have developed over time, hopefully in 10 years things would be more progressive that it will allow Bitcoin to continually expand its horizons in terms of its reach to people. I think that after 10 years, Bitcoin prices would still be volatile but it’s corrections won’t be as steep since people would learn how to use it genuinely and not abuse it. I hope that in 10 years, Bitcoin would gain it’s rightful reputation and not be branded as something to what it is not. I know that Bitcoin will continue to flourish triumphantly over the years.
280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price is going down. on: December 21, 2017, 07:08:12 PM
It's the Christmas season, it's really natural that it's prices would go down at this time since a lot of people are selling their Bitcoins for fiat to spend. Let's also consider that Bitcoin experienced a remarkable peak a few weeks ago that affected it's current state. It's volatility and sudden decline is normal, it will bring back the state of balance for Bitcoin. Just keep your faith in Bitcoin because sooner or later, Bitcoin would have it's rhythm back.
