and why would everyone have their bitcoins on them at the border?  Is it because their bitcoin wallets are implanted in their spines?

269  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 27, 2013, 03:07:41 PM
isnt asicminer in china? how will this affect the company? or even more affect us the share holders?
Risk: Regulation by chinese authorities.
Opportunity: Promising huge market... Especially, if mining (and selling ASIC hardware) is not so attractive in the future, AM still has huge investment opportunities in a potentially huge market.
Who knows? Maybe in 5 years Friedcat will sell Bitcoin-ATMs in China instead of Blockerupters.

how possible is it that chinese authority will regulate or even illegalize bitcoin at all ?

since deadterra is selling of more than 2000 shares, i'm a little afraid that he might have some insider information to that and now takes profit before shareprice is going down ...

2000 out of 18,000.  I would be constantly selling too..

this wouldn't be a big deal for a smaller company who walked in shoes that fit, but your initial valuation of your company is so big that this is completely unacceptable.  I sold out, so I'll shut up now so hopefully shareholders can regain your trust..
271  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO][LTC-GLOBAL] Crypto-trade.com : IPO started! on: May 27, 2013, 03:32:00 AM
I just completely sold off what I had, lost about 0.3 bitcoins.
Good riddance.
This guy is just way too unprofessional.

Nah.. i just wanted to say all that, without caring if it has been discussed before..

Thanks again for your contribution. Does that mean you didn't notice that I linked to threads with posts written by people that have received batch 1 & 2 Avalon mining gear?

so there has been a total of 4 so far?  out of how many orders, hundreds?
Shipping only a few out only proves they are trying to appear legit.  I'll believe it when they actually ship on a regular basis.

Avalon has the same great opportunity that BFL has -- why ship out something to your customers if you can plug it in and double your ROI?  Sell it to them after the difficulty climbs up 2x.  Wouldn't you do the same?  This inevitable business strategy that comes from these mining companies causes dreamers like creativex to sit back waiting for someone to sell him a golden shovel.  Nobody will sell you a golden shovel, dude.  If someone had a supply of ASIC chips that were 4x cheaper than eruptor blades, they WOULDN'T let you have them!  It would be like giving away free money, you would be insane to think that you might be able to get some -- stop dreaming!

Thanks for another valuable post.

I'm eager to see the site develop into a powerful exchange!

There's a thread on reddit discussing the site, it might improve confidence if you fix some of the simple English grammar issues on the front page:
  • "Registered Company operating since 5 years"
    should read:
"Registered Company operating for 5 years"
  • "Hosted on Dedicated Server with High DDOS Protection"
    should read:
"Hosted on a Dedicated Server with High DDOS Protection"
  • "0.2% fees for Standard member,0.15% for VIP member"
    should read:
"0.2% fees for Standard member,0.15% for VIP members"
  • "holding created in 2009 which manage various businesses"
    should read:
"a holding created in 2009 which manages various businesses"
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1f2wvb/new_exchange_online_cryptotradecom_is_open_for/

There should also be a space after the commas.  A site that wants to compete professionally needs to have perfect grammar and English if they are going to make it.  Those mistakes stick out like a sore cock.

As of 1876, Alexander Graham Bell handles 100% of all telephone calls made in the entire world.

Please god no...
"PAYMENT IS DUE WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION. This payment can ONLY be made using Bank-Wire Transfer"
not to mention there are no items in his feedback score which even comes close to the value of this avalon.  This tells me he would be completely willing to sacrifice his perfect feedback score for this quick shady sale
at least we know he won't get scammed with AM blades.  Investing in a possible scam known as avalon carries far more risk, especially in a shady ebay sale that demands payment within 24 hours.   Roll Eyes

280  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: May 26, 2013, 11:25:50 AM
I posted this on another statistical analysis forum but hope more will see it here.

Been watching this thread for a couple weeks or so now, just joined so I had the ability to post. I have around 400 usd invested in Satoshi Dice, but I think the site needs to expand or it will eventually die out. The problem with betting bitcoins is many who mine them use them as investments or flat out sell them to those who use them as investments. Imo bitcoin has become too expensive of a commodity and SatoshiDice needs to branch out with other coins like LTC or FTC for example. With the lack of places to use these coins, those who mine them have a lot less worth for them and have less of a problem gambling them away. The key to a site like Satoshidice is the law of averages which basically states the more bets taken results in a percentage closer to the 1.9% profit. This is just my two cents, but I strongly believe if satoshidice either mined a base amount of altcoins or bought them, then allowed people to play with them, the coin prices would not only go up (instant advantage for satoshidice), but monthly we would see more profit. This is just my opinion, but feel free to respond to it. Regardless im a satoshi dice believer.

horrible idea

It isn't that bad of idea.. It's not as if SD has anything to lose doing it. It's simply expanding. And he's completely right on the idea that people have less value placed in something they don't have many options to spend with it. And there's no doubt at all that people are more likely to gamble away money they care about less.

No need to shoot him down like that?..

his idea would require Satoshidice to have a large supply of worthless alt-coins in order to pay winners.  LTC, okay maybe.. but if they stockpile up on worthless POOPcoins, scamcoins, and rapemecoins then that means they would have to make an initial investment into the currency to do that.  They would be taking on massive risk. It just makes no fucking sense as a company to invest in a starting pile of Shrute Bucks just to bring in more people. That's like sticking your dick in a bear trap, just to see if it will know its not a bear..
