]Biggest in terms of what, sMerits allocated per month? I'm not sure what you mean by that, but currently I'm #13 on the most generous merit senders of all time (and no, I don't consider that list to be a competition). That certainly could be due to the fact that I wasn't one of the original merit sources or that I started offering post history reviews very late in the game, but I have no way of knowing how my monthly allocation measures up to any other merit source. If you're saying it's one of the highest then that's constructive feedback and something I wasn't aware of. "Privileged". BRB, going to scream into my pillow for a minute. Check your PM. (If a Merit source wants to know how much his allocation is per month, I can give him this info) (and having a staff member weigh in is great).
I don't have the divine knowledge, I can say bullshit too . @Halab, I mean no disrespect but that statement you wrote; that giving 50 merits in 30 days to a user is the stupidest ??
Do the maths : you can only get 14 activity points every two week period.
and 50 merits / month. What will reach 1000 first ? Merit or activity ? Edit : OK, I was talking about recently created accounts, they will be restricted by the activity. For older accounts, this is less true.

Give your thoughts to Theymos, because at this point it's out of my hands.
I have been following this topic diagonally for a few days and today I can't help answer you. Forget the tag "Staff" under my nickname, this is just my personal opinion and not an "official" answer. I warn you it's just a reaction to this topic, I don't want it become a personal drama between you and me. Because yes, I might be a bit harsh. I'm not going to give Theymos my thoughts, but give you mine (for what it's worth). What you don't say (or maybe don't know) is that you are already one of the biggest MS. So you are already very privileged. I take Theymos' silence like this : learn to deal with what you have, I don't want to go brrrrrrrr. When I see that you give merits by packs of 10, 8, 6, 5, 3, etc... give them rather by packs of 5, 3, 1. If finally you have some merits left, you can go back on the merits you gave like DdmrDdmr does. And everyone will be happy. Ideally I try to give members the full 50 merits per 30 days
Excuse me, but this is the stupidest thing I've read about merits. 50 merits per month to each user will make him/her go up faster in merits than in activity. What would be the point ? What was the merit system created for ? Exceptional members will never have a merit problem (merits > activity). Good users will become legendary without much problem (merit = activity). Less good users may have some problems, but there are ways to get the attention of MS (I think of this kind of topic or even this one). That leave shitposters, trolls and bounty hunters, but they get what they deserve. And as we say : the important thing is not the destination, it's the journey. Climbing the ranks of Bitcointalk is a long and bumpy journey. But the satisfaction of finally becoming legendary will be greater. Imagine if Tolkien had written the Lord of the Rings this way : Frodo: So I have to take this ring to a volcano in Mordor ? Gandalf : Yes. Frodo : Pfff it's far and dangerous. Can't you use your magic powers to teleport me ? Gandalf : OK.... THE END. Exciting ? And to finish on a lighter note: I'm not in Theymos' head, but I understand this latest change as " You want sMerits ? Here are some sMerits!! Now stop bothering me with it for at least 2 years" So far, I'm not wrong yet. We will see in July. .

I'm sure Flying Hellfish was the last mod added as the process that led to their employment was advertised. I guess that should be in 2019 or so, can't be sure of the date any more. I ain't sure mole0815 or Welsh got in after 2019. Well, sadly I don't know what became of the user. I haven't seen more of them online. I just checked their profile now and the dude was last active on July 13, 2021.
Flying Hellfish was or is moderator for longer than Welsh, I have no doubt about it. In my mind Welsh was the latest addition. I made a small investigation with the elements I have at disposal (Staff section). Flying Hellfish was mod before Welsh who appeared in ~July 2018 (like me, but I think I was appointed mod after Welsh). Mole0815 appears in January 2020. And no new mods since. But where I think there is confusion is that Welsh was first appointed mod for the Altcoins sections, then he replaced the former mod of the spanish section (and that must have been after Mole0815 was appointed).

Je quote le message de gmaxwell (un dev de bitcoin core) : That message signing protocol wasn't invented back then so it couldn't have been signed then.
Many old keys have been sold or leaked, particularly once they've become worthless. There have been numerous threads on BCT offering to buy old keys. That address was swept in 2011, somewhat after signmessage was created.
I wouldn't make a substantial bet on the author of the signmessage being the miner of the block.
Invoking "satoshi" is just clickbait, shame on you.
Donc...

I have two questions. 1. What do you consider as a stable coin? I.e. is PAX Gold a stable coin? Or what about Neutrino USD which pretends to be a USD stablecoin but is assessed now as $0.88? I call a stable coin a coin that reflects a fiat currency ($/€/£, etc..). PAX Gold is not a stable coin because it is based on gold, it's still a speculative product. Neutrino is a stable coin even though it has lost its peg. At your own risk. 2. Coingecko does not make any difference between BUSD on Ethereum blockcain and BUSD on Binance Smart Chain, despite, according to Binance, those are two different tokens: BUSD is issued on Ethereum by Paxos and regulated by the NYDFS. Binance provides the pegged token service to lock BUSD on Ethereum and issues an equivalent amount of Binance-Peg BUSD on other networks. Check out the proof of assets (Proof of Collateral for B-Tokens) for more details. Please note that Binance-Peg BUSD is a Binance product. It is not issued by Paxos nor regulated yet by the NYDFS. May I choose BUSD with an asterisk «ERC20 token»? I want to keep it simple to manage for me (or LoyceV). If I have to check 36 sites to verify the price of an altcoin, it's not going to work. The reference site is Coingecko. If you have a better site (simple and reliable) that makes the difference between the different blockchains, I'm interested, but it will be for the next contest.

And we already have a winner!! Every year, there is at least one that fails and today it is : That's 110%, not 100%. Thanks for rectifying that. Next year I'm going to put a new rule: those who make a mistake in his allocation, take a 100$ penalty
And : I don't see any alts beyond the top100, please change your proposition.

Hey, Halab, good initiative. Let me support your competition as a sponsor.
Thank you Ratimov, that's very generous. OP updated. I have to think seriously about this contest now

How is the payment then? In other words, I can create many accounts, spam with them, delete topics and reap profits or I can tighten the deletion criteria to get more payments.
There's no mystery : no report, no payment. But it's not always about money (ok I agree, that helps) (I speak for myself). Every system can be abused. I can create several accounts and make reports to "reap profits". But that would be the stupidest thing to do. If I have 1000 reports per month when there are only a few hundred posts per month, Theymos will look at me suspiciously
