261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Negative House Edge Crypto Casino on: November 06, 2020, 07:10:59 AM
You buy a token with money but you don't have a way to turn the token into money. It's like playing fun game spending money.
If you can't redeem your tokens or sell to other users, it's worthless. Furthermore it's not a cryptocurrency or a token if it can be transacted through.
It's just a virtual game points on the site that can be bought using crypto. It makes no sense even if it were a -100% house edge.
262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American election is nothing to do with BTC on: November 06, 2020, 05:04:36 AM
The election might have fueled some of the volatility but the ultimate results would not have a significant effect on price of bitcoin. A chaotic environment with protests and fight are less likely in US and they might have some legal battle but the actual transfer of power would be smooth. The pandemic situation is one of the reason for price boost and as it eases, the prices would correct themselves.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 04, 2020, 02:28:52 PM
It would certainly take more than some hours now. Trump was having a lead on the important states and was moving towards a win but Biden had caught him up in Michigan. And as they say, Biden have more of those vote by mail so a narrow margin means good sign for Biden as the postal votes are counted last. And Trump has claimed he's not going to accept the result and would probably go to court. Which would stay order the results.

Fulham 2-0 West Bromwich Albion
Leeds United 1-4 Leicester City

Fulham did good to get a 3 points out of the match but then,
Leeds really had the best of LeicesterCity today. Nice game
As i expected, Leicester won the match. But i never thought the match would be so exciting. Look at the match stats.
Possession         - Leeds 68%   and    Leicester 32%
Shots on target   - Leeds 4        and    Leicester 8
Big chances        - Leeds 3        and    Leicester 5
Corner               - Leeds 10      and    Leicester 3
Total passes       - Leeds 639    and    Leicester 302
Attacks              - Leeds 145    and    Leicester 71
I have to say Leicester played great. They scored 4 goals despite getting less possession of the ball.

It's an unfortunate game for Leeds. Though they mostly dominated the game, they failed to deliver the goal. It doesn't matter how you play but you need to score to win a football match. They played well but they left their defense weak against counters and Leicester scored mostly on counter. They delivered a goal when they took the ball. Interesting performance of defense and counter by Leicester.

266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news for ETH on: November 02, 2020, 11:07:10 AM
Good to see Ethereum getting limelight from Australian Government. Though it might just be a temporary solution till they build their own blockchain but it would certainly make people buy Ethereum and get introduced to it to transfer the token. The best of all, the Bank of Australia should also buy ethereum to make it happen and to transact it to others. Hope these news would be beneficial for Ethereum.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Multi bets vs single bets on: November 02, 2020, 10:11:02 AM
I always bet (99%) only single bet.
Because I don't want risk the chance for having a good result while playing another one that I am not feeling very confident. Generally I prefer to play two separate single events, since  I like to play with stakes at least of 100 euro.
Even when I am playing in live I will never bet two teams together. Ok the final win could be bigger but the risk isn't worth the try.

Multiple bet odds is way higher than the sum of 2 single bets. So if you are confident on the teams that you want then it's worth it a try unless you are focus on one sports and one team only. Most of us have a different favorite multiple sports and team so multiple bets is preferably for those person that has a multiple team and sports favorite.

The risk is a bit neglible compared on the possible amount that you will win considering that you will still bet a 2 singles.  Grin

Not only the odds increases in a multiple bet, risk also increases significantly. Multibet are not much useful when you are combining low odds as the odd would remain low while a single loss would make you lose. If you are confident about some good odd games, you can combine two of them to have a much more higher rewards. If you are having multiple bets, don't bet on more than a pair and the combined odds should not be less than 2.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most developers aren't qualified to be one on: November 02, 2020, 08:55:19 AM
There are very limited number of experts in blockchain based programming. Though it would be easier for javascript developers to learn solidity and other IDE but for as sensitive content as smart contract needs expertise to create as well to audit. Small ambiguous line of code could be exploited and could lead to a huge loss. But also we can't blame just the developers for the success or failure of the project. There are many other things that would determine it.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: November 02, 2020, 07:01:52 AM
MI does not care about the match and hence we should expect them to make some changes in the team and rest their main players but for SRH it is a must win match and that means it will be a pressure game for them and their top order should be in top form to win the match and i think the toss will be an important factor and the same situation for DC as they are on a loosing streak, they should win this match against RCB.

MI does not need to win this match, but that doesn't mean that they will play casually and help SRH with two points. They may give chances to one or two players who are sitting on the bench, but I expect them to take this match very seriously. SRH needs to win the match, so the pressure is going to be on them. Without the two points, they can't qualify to the next stage.

MI, suddenly are a different team now, they have been winning matches and creating a complex situation for other teams. SRH has to win their next match with MI but the way MI is playing cricket now it will be a tough one for SRH.

MI are not different. They have always been the favorite team to qualify for the finals in most of the IPL tournaments and this time they looks invincible as another popular team CSK performed poor. They may change some of the players in the team for the game against SRH but that won't make it significantly different as most of the players and strategy would remain the same.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins with highest interest rates? on: November 02, 2020, 06:17:51 AM
If you are okay with centralized platform, NEXO, a bitpay insured fund provides 12% yearly interest on supported fiat stablecoin. They support a number of popular stablecoins like USDT, TUSD, HUSD, USDC and Paxos. Youhodler also provides similar interest but they are not as flexible as Nexo saving which allows adding and withdrawing anytime as well as interest are added to account daily.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: November 02, 2020, 05:00:41 AM
I know many are saying it is entertainment and has no title to fight with. But this is like some sort of what if scenario that started when Mcgregor fought Mayweather a few years ago. I would even be impressed if this match is some sort of charity event that would benefit some charities and they will help those in need, then I am all eyes and ears on this exciting match. Many are trying their best to stay sane and composed this time of pandemic but watching them fight would be a good morale booster for many in the form of boxing entertainment.

I agreed to the part you’ve said that this fight would be more interesting to watch if it’s a charity event. Could’ve  been both parties would do that and lot’s of boxing supporters and even those not would be interested watching this fight as it is being showcase for charity. Well, Manny Pacquiao cleary stated it in the first place that every penny he’ll get from this fight should be given to all affected of amidst coronavirus pandemic.

There's so much money involved in UFC, retirement are just stunt for many. People would love Pacquiao and McGregor fight and it would happen soon after it aggregates more interest. UFC is a professional event with large costs involved. All of those fighters have a lavish lifestyle. They can't just charity every of those tournaments. And with charity tournament, I feel there not much dedication for the fight among the fighters as well as they'll be getting less for a win.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: November 01, 2020, 05:22:49 PM
The Everton loss is the dreams shattering for Everton to get the trophy. They had a good start but they couldn't keep them as the best team. The table is starting to look a bit straight now.
ManU and Arsenal no score till first half. Arsenal the dominant force on that period but missed to score. Don't know how things would play on second half.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some things will never work in crypto world on: November 01, 2020, 04:52:25 PM
VR is a good market with still a lot of market to expand. Most of the project asking ICO funds for VR technology were scam don't mean any project won't work. AI on the other hand is a much more complex business and is not an independent business of it's own. AI is a side research for other established technology. Though blockchain technology would be much more useful on mastering and using AI technology. Blockchain technology would be useful for almost every tech and information based business but it doesn't mean they need to have a crypto for every of them.

What's going on in IPL. I thought KXIP will atleast reach the play off round. And actually they have a lot of chance to go olay off. I am very sad today by seeing KXIP lose two match in a raw and also lose the hope of play off round. I can not look at the Rahul's eye.  Cry
CSK spoiled KXIP's party. I think KXIP win the match today and will confirm their tickets of playoff round, but nothing happen in order. Appears as though KXIP was in under pressure. If they played their normal game, they could have effortlessly dominated the game. Drama of IPL not over yet.

It's wonderful to see how dramatic this competition to play with Mumbai Indians in the finals is getting. With just three game results left, Just Chennai and Punjab are now out of the race. It exciting that we had to wait for the second last day of the league to find the first team that won't qualify for playoffs. But this league really lacked high scoring games that would have provided more thrills in T20.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which gambling sites have 0% house edge? on: October 31, 2020, 04:12:10 PM

remember the edgeless project (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235474.0), they were promoting to have 0% house edge before. but wonder if they are still practicing the 0% HE til now.

but tbh, doubt the intentions of casinos promoting to have 0% HE. they need to get income in some way, so we dont know where they will get that from their players if they will not implement HE. it is important for their survival as a casino

I remember they got a lot of hype during the ICO craze. According to their last blog post from 8 months ago they had fewer than 10 daily users. They had strict KYC restrictions even though they were supposed to be a decentralized casino and I think that is why they never gained any traction.

Zero percentage house edge could be a promotion event or for some special games but a gambling site won't exist if it provides 0% house edge on all games all the times. I've found gambling site providing as low as 0.8% on popular game as dice. There are some gambling sites that provides cashback to the gamblers which also effectively decreases the house edge. But no site would go zero or negative on house edge.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 31, 2020, 02:57:02 PM
Sunrisers do need this match if they want to play the play-offs. It's quite interesting how most of the teams are on same level behind Mumbai Indians and the competition would get tough.
And just as I write it, Rashid Khan takes Philipe, with 4 crucial wicket down, I see this game been going on the hands on Hyderabad. An impressive bowling spell by the two bowlers.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust USDT? on: October 30, 2020, 11:23:47 PM
I don't but most of the time I don't have another option. In my opinion, USDT has become too good to fail. I don't mean it's 100% safe but if it crashed exchanges and whales would be affected more than my $500.
It would be a good idea if most of the people and exchanges moved to safer alternative like USDC or TUSD. I too am planning to change to them when possible.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 30, 2020, 05:15:14 PM
What an innings by Universal Boss Chris Gayle but feeling bad for Gayle as he miss his hundred by 1 run. RR royals need 186 runs to win this game. It's do or die match for RR.
Congrats Chris Gayle for first player in T20 cricket history to smash 1000 Six.

Felt bad for Gayle for missing his well-deserved century just by a single run. RR is batting quite well and now required 67 in 48 balls and lost just 2 wickets. So, with this they could easily clinch this match unless lose couple of quick wickets. If RR wins then possibly, they can be at No 5 in ranking after this match as would be close in NRR with existing KKR at 5th spot.

The first player to reach 1K sixes would never be contested by anyone. That's a whole new record on itself. And Gayle surely is a unique star of cricketing world. A name people would remember for long in new age of cricket.
The required run rate for RR is not that huge but Samson is just run out and that could bring some pressure if Punjab be able to keep the field tight.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How far will you go when you sent btc to a site with high fee but... on: October 30, 2020, 04:55:43 PM
If my transaction is stuck and I aboslutley need to bet on the coming event, the safest and easiest way would be to deposit some other bitcoin with a higher fee (if it's an option). I have done that a few times, sometimes on the same casino while sometimes on other as the odds too change quite easily. So, it would be better to be cautious about fees when you are to start betting immediately.

What we all know to realize is we are going to get it one way or other at some point in our life. The best way is to be prepared for it and do appropriately to recover from it. We've seen players have a better resistance against it and most of them tested positive are as good as ever but their are study suggesting it could have a long term effect on the lungs which maybe a issue for any athletes. It's someone like Infantino that may suffer a lot but he don't have to play on field.
