Lol @ The bug at MTGox hasn't "saved" the crash. WTF. Having an insecure big exchange will lead to a lower overall price. So we'd be higher now without Gox' fuck up.

mtgox rollback on any big sell orders, so I really don't expect any crash soon... the only way to see a lower price now is a loooong downtrend period

be bull or die Tongue

Forget about "big crashes", at least not thanks to MtGox:

<@MagicalTux> very large sell order matching too many buy orders, causing the security system to stop the trade and rollback anything that was caused by it

Ok, I think we're bottoming (head and sholders bottom or something).

Soon those who are still waiting for even lower prices will realize they wont happen. It's over. They'll jump back in and in no time we'll be posting pics of trains Wink

Well, it's just 5:01:12 am in Shangai... I'm waiting to see their reaction

266  Economy / Speculation / Re: GoxLoop™ discussion / speculation on: December 06, 2013, 08:59:09 PM
Can anyone remember any loop when the price went up really fast?
267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 08:45:47 PM
tell me bulls, are you happy with the goxloop thing? Wink

Gox is just doing it's thing.

You mean attempting to artificially protect the price?

Do you think the exchange rate would be higher or lower today if Gox never Goxxed? (I'm talking about the entire history of Gox here.)

it obviously stopped a massive panic sell (ie a big "correction")

I would like to know why they choose a 5 minutes window for looping.

China banned bitcoin. When will it crash? Win 0.1 BTC

When will btc crash under $400 ?
The winner gets 0.1 btc!

China did not ban Bitcoin. Even if China did ban Bitcoin, that action alone is not sufficient enough to determine that a crash will occur.

not a "ban", but it seems they don't want their people use it as a currency but only as a "virtual commodity"
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: China just made Bitcoin pretty useless within China on: December 06, 2013, 05:45:42 PM
tl;dr

So China created this bubble? They all got in (price goes up) and now they want out due to laws or regulations (price goes down).

Sorta funny actually.

and we are going to see things like this happening "hundred" of times in the future, but bitcoin we'll win at some point Smiley
273  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash starts today on: December 06, 2013, 05:42:54 PM
Didnt read the news? Baidu and Chinese Telecom dumped the btc option to pay....china is not a real player anymore Smiley

Who the fuck needs China anymore, they've done their part, Wall Street is taking over now  Grin

Anyway, Bitcoin economy is going to suffer without those 1.75 BTC Baidu collected in last few weeks  Cheesy Grin Cheesy

lol when we started going up everybody here was saying "Hey China is panic buying! BUY BUY BUY" and now that there are some problems in China you are like "Who cares about China anyway?..."  Roll Eyes
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 06, 2013, 05:39:24 PM
Quadruple bottom?

Bullish as fuck.

Where is the 4th one? I see only 3

I only see 2: you can't tell if this is the bottom, yet.

So Jiasule/Baidu is not accepting Bitcoin anymore, but is this related with the government's announcement?

278  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can you still use Bitcoin to buy and sell goods in China? on: December 05, 2013, 11:24:25 PM
Yeah, China govt (and Hong Kong too) already said that "investing" on Bitcoin is high-risk, but now what I am worried about is that they are saying (as far as I understand from that automatic translation and some comments on Weibo) that you can't use Bitcoin in the market.
279  Bitcoin / Legal / Can you still use Bitcoin to buy and sell goods in China? on: December 05, 2013, 09:37:52 PM
Simple question, I want to know if this translation from Google is right:
Quote
"Notice" clearly the nature of Bitcoin, think Bitcoin is not issued by the monetary authorities, does not have, such as legal tender currency of the mandatory attributes, not the true meaning of money. From the nature point of view, Bitcoin is a specific virtual goods, does not have legal status and monetary equivalent, can not and should not be used as currency in circulation in the market. However, Bitcoin transaction as a commodity trading behavior on the Internet, ordinary people have the freedom to participate at your own risk premise.

Please note that I'm not asking if Bitcoin was "banned" in China since it clearly says that ordinary people can trade it as a "commodity", I want to know if the automatic translation from Google is correct and that Bitcoin can't be used as a currency anymore.
