261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Catch me up on: October 25, 2017, 12:33:53 AM
Hm, I'm not sure if mining is the most profitable route at the moment for BTC at the moment. Especially for starters. I would suggest you go take a look at altcoin discussions and take a look at the few PoW no Premine no ICO coins they have and join a few pools. The most honest cons with a good community may have a decent return in the long run. For instance BCO and XIOS is a good idea in my opinion. Just a few Ideas.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with low circulating supply?? on: October 24, 2017, 10:53:10 PM
Marketcap doesn't mean jack for smaller shitecoins. I create Mooncoin premine 1 billion tokens and then airdrop 100,000 to random wallets.

They sell on Etherdelta for 1 cent each, does that make my marketcap of 1bil x 1 cent representative of the real coins value? I then pump my coin on Etherdelta so last buy order was 3 cents, my market cap has suddenly x3.

Long story short, volume is just as important as circulating supply, token price and market cap. You need to take all these factors into account.

This guy gets it. Also keep in mind that there's more to a token than just its quantitative statistics. There's also its qualitative statistics which can be seen in it progress and community. Be sure to check Slack/ Telegrams/ Websites/ and ANNs of coins with acceptable numbers. If the community is active and you see progress from the developers than it may be a good investment. Patience is all you need when you find a good one.

264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🗽🌀 [ANN] [OHNI] Lending and Banking - American Cryptocurrency 🚀🚀🚀 on: October 23, 2017, 08:38:45 AM
Not touching this coin even if you paid me... Dead ass serious. I remember when "the third man" was posting this shitcoin all over /biz/ on 4chan. He had no idea what he was getting into either, he was asking all of /biz/ to help him scam exchanges so that he can "stop living a wagecuck life". When he made a discord to get all of /biz/ to do his dirty work like making fake roadmaps, logos, and fake whitepapers he would get so autistic and angry over any little detail. I wished I saved the very first whitepaper this coin had because it was down right deplorable...To put it short

TL:DR: The "CEO" is irrational, incoherent and unintelligible Just like the project.
Anyone with common sense knows Ohni isn't legitimate and is a waste of time.

Why deposite address of CryptoBridge DEX keep changing every times? If I deposite to the old address, will it be credited to my account?

Yes you'll be credited, don't be alarmed. Most exchanges have the ability to refresh its wallet address. Welcome to crypto lol.
266  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Can we keep any information in the Blockchain? on: October 17, 2017, 12:29:34 AM
Yea, like everyone is saying. It is possible but for large amounts of data it isnt feasible - and most definitely isn't feasible for confidential data. I think there is potential for this capability in the future. Technology is something which is constantly evolving and developing but as of now it isn't a viable idea to store large amounts of data on the blockchain.
267  Other / Off-topic / Re: trick to find project on: October 17, 2017, 12:25:28 AM
Your grammar is confusing but I'm assuming you are looking for successful ICOs and start ups. ICOalert.com and ICOrating.com are great websites to find any upcoming ICOs and their trustworthiness. Also, if airdropalert.com is another nice website for finding free airdrops recently releasing. The most definite way to find a promising ICO though would be on this board on the announcement page and research thoroughly.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coin for 2018 that is very cheap now? on: October 17, 2017, 12:20:59 AM
In your personal opinion, what's the cheapest coin or token with the best fundamentals to hold in 2018?

cheers!
Look for hidden gems in the top 200-300 list of cryptocurrencies. The return of investment there will be much higher compared to the top 100 but the risk is also higher but if you do your research and find one that is very undervalued, then go for that one.

This, but it's significantly more risky. Keep in mind as well that the price of the coin doesnt matter, what matters is the protocol, community, team, and developments. The market cap and circulation only reflect off of those things, some may reflect later some sooner. Right now I have my eyes on XIOS, MBRS, PLC and BCO - The sincerity of these projects speak loud to me. In the end just do all your research.
269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will a fork of Bitcoin ever take over? on: October 17, 2017, 12:15:48 AM
There is a possibility but it's not likely. Seeing as how many exchanges have BTC as the default currency of trade, Even with ETH being the runner up of BTC you will notice that the markets are significantly smaller. It would take a lot of time, it's not something that would immediately come into effect after a fork so it isn't quite concerning for those who are long term investing.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help!! beginer treat with new forks bitcoin gold and segwit2x on: October 17, 2017, 12:03:53 AM
Hello ....
It's hard to understand or specifically dealing with next forks 25 October and mid November
So , please any professional tell us what we should do

1- Is it portfolio to invest this forks ( mean buy more of btc before the forks ) ?

2- Which wallet we can hold btc in ?? - i  know that any wallet can export private key will be fine but which one is better?? for example my wallet is blockchain is it good??

3- How much btg we will earn and who will determines the price

4- Is it will be easy to sell them in exchange Once forks done??

Thanks a lot for those helpers who don't refer us to links and give conclusion in their replies

Christ man, your grammar... fix it.

1. Whenever there is a fork BTC always tends to rise in price. It can be a good thing or it can be a bad thing. Personally I don't bother buying more BTC after it reaches a new ATH, I always wait for a dip - and a decent one at that. Patience is the most powerful skill anyone can have in this realm.

2. Have a wallet that you have the private key for, it's that simple. You don't need anything else.

3. You will earn the exact same amount of BTG that you have BTG, just understand that BTG will most likely be worth 10% or maybe even less then BTC until it gains traction.

4. Yes, "is it will". Don't imagine being able to sell it RIGHT after the fork though, there will be congestion and it may take you a week to get it out after the fork. As I said just be patient.
271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The gaps between languages on: October 16, 2017, 11:44:24 PM
This may be a bit tangent but I think you may find it interesting.
Lewis Caroll had a very keen sense with rendering the English language in his writing. Lewis would create words like Mimsy (Miserable + Flimsy) or Chortle (Chuckle + Snort). I think this is the sort of evolutionary step languages have in becoming what they are, we see the same thing taking place in the mobile texting realm. These play on words are powerful, so much so that Eric Laithwaite the inventor of the magnetic railway systems used them to determine measurements on fields that hadn't even existed until he made them up with the synergy of words and ideas (there's a great 1 hour or so youtube video of him lecturing to a classroom about gyroscopes, if you like physics you should definitely look it up).

I feel that originally this growth in language is very necessary for a more effective communication, but it seems that this sort of synthesized dialect is frowned upon by universities and scholarly institutes.

One big issue is that English has too many words that mean the exact same thing rather than enough words that mean something new.
272  Other / Politics & Society / Re: how to break teenage video game addiction on: October 16, 2017, 11:29:38 PM
I used to be addicted to video games when I was in high school. I had an Xbox 360 and was deep into FPS games (was a huge Halo fan). Eventually my house was robbed, my gaming console and all my games were stolen. I just sort of coped. When I finally had the money - instead of buying a new console I just kept saving. It's not easy to just drop video games like that but once you go 1 week without games you'll notice you don't really need it.

It sounds easier than it is but it's the truth. Just stop playing for a while, do something productive (video games are in a sense productive but unless you have a twitch.tv with 1000+ subs, it isn't THAT productive haha...no offense of course)
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme bitconnect in top 10 cryptos ? on: October 16, 2017, 11:04:40 PM
With Bitconnect there are opposite feelings "Too good to be true" and "Too big to fail" (capitalization >  $1.4 billions).

The program is still there and many have already get their initial deposit back.

On my side, after a quick comparison with others,  I decided to try this program two months ago because it seemed the most serious.

I use a strategy to quickly get my investment back thanks to the daily interest paid. Now I am fully reimbursed so that I can reinvest in the program the interest received and then exponentially grow my capital (principle of compound interests).

For those who like me are accepting some risk in order to get bigger rewards, you get a pretty nice discount if you choose me (kams99) as your sponsor.

All info is on this form.

Invest only the amount you can afford to lose.

Very well put, except for the self shaming referral link. I wouldn't touch BCC with a ten foot pole, I've heard about it way back in the day when it was worth around 40 USD, and the moment I saw that pyramid scheme I knew i would NOT touch it. Of course many people did and it spread all over youtube that it was actually real and then all of a sudden after a few months its now reaching 200USD. Anyone with cognitive thinking though will understand that it's built to collapse. It's like being part of a pump and dump group you can make money but most likely you will lose money.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about ICOs? on: October 16, 2017, 10:52:34 PM
I actually prefer ERC20 token ICOs. Most of them tend to begin as ERC20 regardless, It's much easier for me to keep track of since I have a nano ledger.
ICOs have always been a good way to allocate funds for large projects, the only problem now is that there are tons of them and it can be a hassle to find the right one with the right credentials. I will admit though, when I see a project with no ICO and no premine it's VERY refreshing.

I love this project and love their exchange, but worried about the marketing. There is already a strong competitor out of Singapore, COSS. While their exchange is not ready for prime time yet like Cryptobridge is. They are doing weekly payouts in multiple coins which will get them lots of attention while Cryptobridge pays out slower and Coss will have months of payouts before the first Cryptobridge payout. Coss is also adding new hot coins ignored by the big exchanges. I don't want Cryptobridge to lose the first mover advantage to a Johnny come lately. But so far the developers haven't disappointed, so I hope they will consider the importance of getting payouts started for the marketing effects. This remains one of my favorite projects.

..but the reason COSS was able to pump out such an extraordinary exchange so quickly was because of their ICO. Cryptobridge was built by an anonymous and international group developers with no ICO or premine. The project is incredibly sincere. COSS may be leading the forefront at the moment but it wont take long for BCO to catch up and even surpass them in my opinion.

Kucoin is better Coss still trying to find way to distribute Kucoin is 90% profit sharing

Apples and oranges, Kucoin is centralized. Sure it may have a more enticing ROI, but in the long term centralized exchanges may have some serious repercussions in the future. We are already seeing Bittrex kissing the SEC by the feet and indulging in shady activities with the markets.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making an ICO as successful as possible.. on: October 14, 2017, 09:40:49 AM
Besides having a bounty campaign and a signature campaign, what are other forms of promotion for an ICO that is essential to its success?

Of course a good underlying product is important and a white paper that explains it but as far as marketing vehicles is concerned - are there any other avenues worth exploring?

I know this is arbitrary to the quesstion at hand but most successful ICOs have moderately functional protocols or at least commitment to the protocol before hand (LINK for instance). The constant rise of vaporware ICOs is become a deterring view.

Now as for marketing or campaigning the best way to gain a successful ICO is to have avenues of instant communication between the developers and investors. If you have a good project that you are passionate of, share it with your investors. Sincerity really pays off more than marketing at some points. MBRS for instance.. MBRS did not even fill their minimum cap of 100k for their ICO but their dev said "we can give you your money back if youd like but if you believe in us we will do with what we can with your money and let you know everything along the way" - now they are well over 3m market cap.
Transparency and sincerity will win over flashy marketing in the long term.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose what cryptocurrencies to buy when there are so many options? on: October 14, 2017, 09:30:44 AM
Web applications? When it comes to finding a crypto I try to look for the best use case. If there is a crypto for  "reviewing food" I don't see it as great as an investment for a crypto thats for instance "bridging fiat" .

- For the most part I just check the ANN thread, If the thread is over 70 pages I'll skim through 10 pages at a time and stop at key discussions and find replies.
-I also check the bounty threads to see if they are being fulfilled regularly.
-Website check obviously.
-Github
-Developers Linkedin, identification is a must. I don't care if they are a kindergarden drop out as long as they are who they say they are.
-Telegram / Slack, How is their community and is the team communicative with them.

Those are most of the key points, I don't consider them being web applications as much as just freely available information.

The worst of it is the one always sent as a notification via mail by yobit and you begin to wonder, how do these coins get listed in the first place. While some are as a result of voting and the developers just dump and move on, others are bought the space in other to get listed but its actually not their fault too when the majority of projects here that issue either a coin or token, the most important questions people ask immediately after ICOs is when will it be listed and after that, no one is interested in whether the project is progressing or not.

Most of the voting for these exchanges can be easily bought. For instance on novaexchange you can vote as many times as you like but it costs voting points to vote, 10 points to be specific and you need 250 votes to get listed, so thats 2500 voting points which can be bought for around 2 BTC. Most of these coins are mildly hyped exchanged on ether by the dev and maybe the small community - then bought into these exchanges and dumped immediately. I agree though, they give exchanges a bad name.
280  Other / Off-topic / Re: *CHAIN THREAD* - F**k I wish I didn't spend BTC on........ on: October 14, 2017, 09:06:39 AM

That's what happens when you don't trust and don't keep patience in the reality. Since I started I have always been know to bitcoin being expensive grower in the market and the market cap will always grow more like this now and forever. I will always withdraw money if I want to but I won't go for emotional selling of the bitcoins in first place. Anyway you can always grab this chance the only thing is you will have to buy the bitcoin at very high rates now and then your ROI will come at very expensive prices. This will keep happening always no matter what. Bitcoin still not reached Pluto though, when it will be there then you can expect to have 10K USD per btc.  Cheesy
It is totally the game of nerves who controlled it in time of panic is in good profiting state now and those who did panic selling at that point they are regretting why they did that, and many of people are asking hen will next dump occur so that they can buy again but the good time has gone now and the moment panic sellers sold bitcoin was 3000USD and now it is 5000USD one can think about their regret level.

It's reasonable for most people to become skeptical of it and sell. In the beginning of this year BTC was around $800 and I remember when people were freaking out about a bear run when it was 1k. Makes you wonder where the ceiling is and the possibilities of this in the future. Maybe 10k BTC will be something we may regret to sell as well - maybe not.
