261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][NO-ICO][MASSIVE AIRDROP]ZeroBankSystems Coin and projects. on: December 05, 2017, 02:19:17 PM
I think doubling bounties or airdrops would probably be fine.

And the rest-- just burn away
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: December 05, 2017, 12:49:14 PM
What will happen if i have a wallet that I cannot update before the fork, I only use it to send some term deposit coin, its ok if I update after?

If your wallet is not updated at the time of the fork you will be banned from the network. You won't be able to mine, send or receive coins. Your existing coins will be fine and you won't lose them.

Hi,

So I have around 15 machines mining ROI at the moment and they all run their own wallets for mining and then payout to a centralised wallet. I will be away for a while and am just worried about this banned notion. Exactly when should we be updating our wallets and is it enough to update the central wallet which holds all the mined coins?

thanks

From what I gather, if your wallet isn't updated at the time of the fork, it would be on the old network so if your 15 machines are connected and mining on the old wallet, you will basically be creating your own chain. Any blocks you mined on the old wallets after the fork would be invalid.

This is not an official announcement post. It is a post meant to help the op garner referrals.

The original ANN post can be found at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2294399.0

Read and make your own conclusions.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: December 04, 2017, 01:44:02 PM
1000 coins TD for 7 years.

1 Y = 1000 @ 600% = 6000
2 Y = 36 000
3 Y = 216 000
4 Y = 1 296 000
5 Y = 7 776 000
6 Y = 46 656 000
7 Y = 279 936 000

I would not recommend term depositing coins for more than 12 months. If you do the payout stops at 12 months but the coins will still be locked. So if you term deposit coins for 7 years they will be locked for 7 years but after 1 year no more interest payout = 6 years of locked coins with no term deposit ROI...

Lol. 1 year is plenty long enough imo.

Btw, any info on when the new wallet will be out? Or is it still being tested?

Why isn't the pool moving even though people have surely started mining?  Are you re-directing the hash to other coins?

Considering the Pre Ann was only posted less than half an hour ago and there are no wallets available, who would have been able to mine?

Until we can see the wallets and block explorer, consider this a SCAM for hashpower guys.

I'm tempted to agree. Without a working wallet and a working block explorer, it is all kinda shady.

We are now testing the latest wallet release on the main blockchain. If everything goes good we will release it in the next few days.

What to expect?

We have preserved the term deposit rates prior to the fork. This means their is parallel code running for users. Coins term deposited before the fork will continue as they were. Post-fork coins will term deposit at the new corrected rate that is what we anticipated at launch.

POS coins before the fork will move to the new POS APR exactly at the fork block. The new POS APR has been changed from the launch POS APR and you will be happy with that change as it has increased from the target 17% APR.

The new wallet will be available for download and use before the fork however it will be in read only mode. This means you can use your existing wallet.dat and coins as normal and you can mine. If you load the new wallet before the fork you will not be able to send/receive/term deposit coins. If you need to send/receive/term deposit coins prior to the fork I recommend that you run the current wallet version.

After the fork and after we stabilize post-fork we will be doing an extensive paid marketing push at Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Bing and with banner ads.

Lastly, I have launched several new domain names for the cryptocurrency community. The first site is http://cryptocurrency-hub.com. This site will be a portal that offers crypto services such as seed nodes, coin development, coin forking, block explorers and more. I also created a new website at http://cryptocapworld.com and this is a coin market cap site that features over 1800 coins and some very cool features. We will be using it to market ROI coin and will also entertain paid marketing for other altcoins to help provide additional marketing funds for ROI Coin. Last but not least I also bought the domain. http://BigCoinEX.com and this will be a created from scratch crypto exchange for altcoins and I will notify you as soon as I have it ready to go.

I appreciate your commitment and patience as we work through these launch issues and move forward to improve our coin and grow our community! Many thanks to Brazil and China who were able to burn our shared hosting server to the ground in a matter of hours! This shows an interest in the coin and it also forced us to upgrade and improve our infrastructure to meet the current and future demands of ROI ROIN!

Great plans in the works. Thanks to the Dev team for all the hard work. Really looking forward to the fork and all the new content.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: December 03, 2017, 04:22:28 AM
I really appreciate all the hard work dev’s and community of ROI coin. I hope to see a great future with this coin.

I am solo mining with ROI 64bit Windows wallet for 10 days now. I am planning to start “Solo Mining ROI As Part Of A Cluster” (as I have 2 computers to mine now) but being a newbie I a confused about what address to use.

Just for testing, this morning  I sent 120 ROI coins from 64bit Windows wallet to coinsmarkets. That worked great. Then, I sent back 20 coins to my ROI wallet using address I found by going to Receive-Request Payment- Address. 20 coins arrived and I thought that I have address that I can use for cluster. When I went again to Receive-Request Payment- Address, it showed me different address. Every time I press “Request Payment" I got different address!? I am confused. What address I should use to start “Solo Mining ROI As Part Of A Cluster” and receive coins? Where can I find it?

Technically, you could use any of your receiving addresses to mine. You can find all of your receiving address under FILE > Receiving Address.

Every time you use the RECEIVE > Request Payment > Address function, you are essentially creating a new wallet address. You might want to refrain from doing that to avoid confusing yourself.

To figure out which is your main wallet, which all the mined coins were deposited into, go to SETTINGS > Options > Wallet and enable coin control. Then go to SEND click on inputs and it should show you where all your coins are distributed. The one with all the coins should be the main wallet address and you might want to label it accordingly to prevent future confusion. Alternatively, you can use the Block Explorer http://blockexplorer.roi-coin.com/ to check which of those addresses is the main one.

I'm sure there is an easier way to figure that out. But that's just my own noob understanding.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]SARU ** 50% AIRDROP ** FREE MASTERNODE FOR AIRDROP USERS *** on: November 29, 2017, 03:06:52 PM
Airdrop was quick and painless.

As probably mentioned a thousand times before, drop the OP a PM on bitcointalk forum for the wallet link.

For more information on the coin, just join the discord. Dev will usually answer questions when he is online.

So with all this being said.... I would like to ask for feedback from the community... would the ROI community desire to see an exchange for ROI Coin paired with various other coins at the ROI Coin website? You know an exchange that is designed, coded, secured, run and so forth by yours truly... I would be happy to devise a proper system to track and payout proper staking payouts to all exchange users no problem. Let me know what you think Cheesy

I actually think that might be a good idea. But more of a future project then a pressing concern.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: November 28, 2017, 03:35:52 PM
i have  question do i need to keep my wallet open all the time so that my roicoins stake? and do i need to at a ROIcoin.conf file or something with stake=1 text in it or something? any help would be more then welcome,

thanks in advance.

No need to keep wallet open or have special config file. The accumulated stake will be credited when you open and sync your wallet.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: November 27, 2017, 03:18:19 PM

Unfortunately yes.   Cry
Well I guess this is ultimately in the coins best interest. Not giving a huge advantage to the first movers because of an error. Just my opinion.

We are still doing testing on testnet trying to make sure the release is smooth.

It is our intent that term deposits in process prior to the fork will continue unchanged. Term deposits after the fork will be on the new corrected interest rates.

It gets complicated because we have code giving standard POS and we have code giving term deposit interest and of course these stack and move block by block. We already have term deposits in motion and have to fork the coin and the fork must deal with numerous things...

No worries at all this will be smooth as butter Cheesy

That would be nice... Esp since I placed everything in a yr's term deposit.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attention All ERC-20 Project Teams. Consider Airdrops Compromised. on: November 27, 2017, 12:37:14 PM
I'm glad you guys caught it early because it has been a HUGE problem recently.

Unfortunately there will always be people out there who live only to exploit and it's only good and fair that they do not succeed in derailing legit projects as a result.

Good project! We invite you to our ICO list, it helps you with funding. Good luck, guys Wink

This is a prime example of what we should not be using as a bar to entry for a project worthy of investment.

He's probably just spamming that in every thread.

But that aside, I plan on following the progress of this 5 yr long project.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: November 26, 2017, 07:19:33 AM

What is the importance of staking ROI Coin?
Staking means that you have coins laying in your wallet and those coins earn an interest payout and increase in quantity. In other words, if you had 1000 coins in your wallet - thirty days later you would have approximately 1,007 coins. Staking is a way for you to get return on your investment.

Can review if this information is right, because if i have 1000 coins and earn 8% I should be with 1080 coins after 1 month,

7 coins of 1000 means just 0,7% per month

Thanks

8% APR means 8% per annum. Which means if you have 1000 coins, you will get 6.6666... coins per month for a total of 80 a year.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: November 26, 2017, 03:54:33 AM
intresting project

But I am not a POS expert, and have some questions about how it works

FIRST: To get that 8 % i need to mining in the wallet or just keep my coins freeze on the wallet?

SECOND: the same question... And to get that 11% monthly I just need to do a term-deposit on my wallet and after it I will have to do anything more, just wait the chosed time pass ?

THIRD: If I join to a pool my chances to find a block, and gain that 120 coins will raise a lot, but that 120 coins ill be divided with all pool members, right?

1.
You can mine some coins or buy in the exchange and transfer it to your wallet. When the coins are in the wallet the 8% will be payed automatically.

2.
If you make a term deposit the coins are locked for the time you select, for example 6 month. After 6 month you get your interests and can decide again what to do with your coins and interests. While the 6 month you have to do nothing. Only if you mine or buy new coins. :-)

3.
Solo-Mining with usual hardware is very hard. Perhaps it will be a long time until you find a block (120 Coins). But perhaps you are lucky. When you use the pool the 120 Coins are divided through all persons which are using the pool, depending on their hashrate/shares.

Thank's let me see if i understood...

The user can start mining even if he does not have any ROI coin into his wallet or to start to mining the user will need to purchase some coins on a exchange?

Thanks for the help I m writing a article to help to grow ROI comunity

There are 2 ways of "mining". 1 is POW. That you can do via the built in mining function in the ROI wallet. You do not need to have any ROI to do this. The 2nd is via POS which requires that you actually have ROI coins to stake. Think of it along the lines of interest.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ROI] ROI Coin | CPU Only Solo Mining Hybrid | 8% POS | 600% Term Deposit on: November 26, 2017, 02:51:31 AM
There was a post saying that CoinPools can be seen here   http://coinspool.cu.cc/workers_roicoin

Being a newbie, I'm curious if someone can explain to me why there is always 60 workers and how can I identify myself here? Are there really just 6o workers mining this coin?

I am mining for 10 days now and I can't relate myself to any of addresses on this list.

If you are mining through the pool and connected to it, you should be able to find your wallet address by searching for it in the search box at the top right hand corner. If you can't find your wallet address, that would mean you are either mining solo, through cluster, or using a different wallet address for pool mining.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟[FORUM ANN THREAD] ✅ ⚡ ApexCOIN [XXX] * Based on Blockchain Technology on: November 25, 2017, 12:09:10 PM
I had to recover my wallet after it stuck on 1071 block, but after importing private key I had no air drop there. i wrote Pm 2 days ago to admin, but I still get answer. Can you please double check?

My coins mysteriously disappeared after the wallet fully synced with the new nodes. PMed admin but yet to receive a reply.

WOW. I also lost airdropped coins after the synchronization of the wallet. I thought that it was only my problem.

Well, I received 1 Apex Coin in a new airdrop. Old airdrop of 3 coins = conflicted = lost.

But I guess I should still be thankful since it is after all free. So thank you.

I set up 2FA yesterday, confirmed it worked, now today it's not working. My account has been locked.

I'm assuming this issue is related to the alert about API keys changing and so it may be affecting others.

Or is it just me?...

Not only you. My account has also been locked, and I cannot access my coins.

Thanks. Well I had a lovely back-and-forth convo with support having to prove my identity in order to disable 2FA, even though I suspected it was an issue with the site. Not a very productive use of my time.

Exactly that. And given that this was brought about by their system upgrade which wasn't communicated to us before it happened hence locking up everyone who uses 2FA, there really should be a more efficient way to go about getting access to our accounts. I can't imagine their support having to verify the personal particulars of every single user who uses 2FA and who has been locked out as a result of this unplanned issue.
