The main problem for the Tottenham team is that they have been relying on Son and Kane for years to plan their game. They have become totally dependent on these two players. So the team did not play well when Son and Kane were not in form. On the other hand, Arsenal's current performance is very commendable. But I don't think they are stronger than Manchester United. I want to see Manchester City, United, Chelsea and Liverpool in the top 4.
It is true. Tottenham have been dependent on this duo for a very long time. And as Harry Kane hasn't been having a good season in the Premier League so far, they had big problems on winning matches. Recently, things have started getting better for them thanks to Antonio Conte. But they should be maintaining this team play for a long time to achieve something. Both matches are going to start at the same time today. Cagliari have really near zero chance in the away match against Juventus. I see that Juventus have started improving their effort recently. They are still not able to find easy goals because of their midfielders and attacking players. They obtain low-scoring wins in general but a win is always a win for them of course. Maybe Juventus can beat Cagliari with the same score in the Bologna game last week. And Atalanta are still in a very favorable condition despite losing to Roma last. Genoa can't resist them much and Atalanta would be able to beat them with a nice goal difference.

Chicago Bulls got another win by defeating the team at the last place in the Western Conference, Houston Rockets. Since Harden left the team, Rockets have been falling apart and we see this clearly in their performances. They won only 10 times in 31 games so far. And they lost this game by 133-118 also. Bulls continue chasing the leader team which are Brooklyn Nets now. They revolutionized their roster and they have its benefits this season a lot.

I'm very contented with Arsenal's recent performance in the Premier League.
Me too, and I'm pretty sure their fans are as well, especially if you take into context the way and manner they started this season, they were so poor at the start of the season and pundits and fans wrote them off and didn't give them any chance in hell of finishing in any of the top four spots, but right now they have turned everything around and are tightening their grip in fourth position. Arsenal have been away from CL for a while now, so it'll actually be great if the club can qualify for the tournament next season, of course it'll do a lot for them, especially in terms of signing quality players, every big player wants to play in the CL, thus if Arsenal can guarantee CL football, then they can buy a couple of very good players and maybe challenge for the league title next season. Considering their general form, Arsenal have a really big probability to be able to finish in top four I think. They are already at the fourth position in the standings now. But West Ham have one missing match, Manchester United have two and Tottenham have three now. All of them can still get past Arsenal mathematically when they play their missing matches. But still I think that Arsenal are better than West Ham and Tottenham. So we might see a competition between them and Manchester United for the fourth position maybe. |

The Bulls - Lakers match last night was really awesome. We watched a very competitive game firstly. Both teams stayed in the game every quarter and made a big effort to win. And at the end, Bulls managed to become the winner by a 115-110 result. DeRozan performed so great that he got 38 points. And at Lakers, there was a Lebron - Westbrook - Carmelo trio in the absence of Davis. Lebron played really impressively by making a double-double as he had 31 points and 14 rebounds. Carmelo and Westbrook followed him by 21 and 20 points and Westbrook were really near to making a triple-double as he got 9 rebounds and 8 assists. But all these great efforts weren't enough to beat Bulls in United Center.

I assume that many people lost their bets on Real Madrid last night. It was a really shocking result we had despite the enormous effort that Real Madrid made. It looks like Cadiz played one of their luckiest matches indeed. It was like there wasn't even single moment that Real Madrid didn't attack. They did the best they could but still they were on their very unlucky day. I was still contented with their effort though but it was not good to see them not being able to score even one goal.

We are exactly halfway through the season now. And if we look at the standings, we can see that Bayern Munich are way ahead of even Dortmund which are at the second position. The point difference with them is 9 points now. This is really annoying for me as I don't want Bayern Munich to pull away already now. Seriously, what's wrong with Dortmund? They are still struggling to win the matches that they should be able to win nicely. Their high inconsistency will cause them to be out of the title race very early unless they do something about this.

I really don't know how the Milan - Napoli match yesterday got stuck at a 1-0 score.  Milan found so many opportunities to score in the second half actually. They still barely scored but it didn't even count because of offside. The Milan I have known so far should have equalized the score not much time later after conceding. This match was one of the crucial matches for both sides and Napoli got more than they wanted by defeating Milan. Now they are at the 2nd place and Milan follow them with the same points. |

Everything has started with the very good 3-0 Southampton win in Emirates. And they continued by defeating West Ham 2-0. And right after that, the Leeds match was the one that they performed the most in definitely. Especially their first half performance was incredible and it was a 4-1 win for them at the end. In short, they scored 9 goals and conceded only one goal in their last three league matches which is very fascinating.

Chelsea made a big effort to sign Sevilla defender Jules Kounde in the last transfer window. And they were nearly reaching an agreement with Sevilla also. But Sevilla were so greedy that they wanted more money and this caused the talks to end right away. Kounde was angry at his team then also for preventing him from being transferred. This time, I wonder if Manchester United will be able to sign him by intervening. But I think that Kounde would choose Chelsea as they are in a better shape now. |

It was a tough day for Barcelona even though they dominated the match mostly. After bringing the score to 2-0, they should have been able to obtain a comfortable victory but Elche made their job more difficult by equalizing the score by scoring two goals in two minutes only. Barcelona still managed to win by 3-2 but they should improve their defending style more. If they become better at defending, they can start winning more regularly in the La Liga.

Liverpool might not have an easy job against Inter in last 16 round I think. Inter seem to be a more powerful team than Milan now. Considering Liverpool's results against Milan, I expect them to have a bigger difficulty in eliminating Inter. Especially in the first leg which is in Giuseppe Meazza, Inter might even beat them by one goal but I don't think so. I think that the first leg will end in a draw by a result like 1-1 or 2-2.

Leeds v Arsenal is going to be the biggest match and four matches have been postponed this time too. I really hope that we can take control of Omicron variant also until the last 16 round starts. Because the virus has started to dominate various sports again and football is one of them now unfortunately. We already see in big leagues that many players started becoming ill due to covid-19 and many games have been postponed so far. We are going to be starting with the Lazio v Genoa match to the new week of the league. Lazio have got very bad results for many weeks. I saw them winning only once these times and it was against Sampdoria in an away match. They need an immediate victory to start pulling themselves together and get prepared much better for their next fixtures. And this is the chance they are looking for. Lazio can defeat Genoa with a comfortable score I hope.

I'm really sorry to hear that Aguero has ended his football career. He was definitely among the best strikers in history. His career at Manchester City especially was so exciting and superb that he is already one of the legends for Manchester City and the English Premier League both. It would have been awesome to watch him at Barcelona for at least one year also but he had no choice as he has heart problems unfortunately.
