261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] New useless scammy blockchains on: August 21, 2011, 01:01:36 PM
We had ixcoin, now solidcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=38453.msg0#new
Will this stop? Unlikely
How can we stop that?

I pledge 1BTC for a proved successful double-spend attack on solidcoin in the next 3 days
Anybody with me?

CRYPTO sucks: in ancient greek that means "hidden". I don't want bitcoin to be hidden. I want it to stroll around in bright day light on Wall Street.
Who said crypto was "official" btw ??

Because it's a cryptographic currency.

for twitter post? Smiley

Yep twitter post is fine, just one per person though. The bounties page goes into more detail about such bounties as we don't want people spamming or doing stupid things.

Link to the post and you get the candy.

Do you have Cogs (http://store.steampowered.com/app/26500/) or Portal?

Um yes. But I was buying games, and you just bumped a ~2 month old thread.

271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When does a transaction is schown in the blockexplorer? on: August 20, 2011, 10:32:16 AM
Hey there,

i´ve send a little amount out of flexcoin to the Bitcoinforum Donation Adress 17RTTUAiiPqUTKtEggJPec8RxLMi2n9EZ9, this was ~10min ago.

No i took a look in the blockexplorer http://blockexplorer.com/address/17RTTUAiiPqUTKtEggJPec8RxLMi2n9EZ9 but my transaction is still not there? - does it only shows transactions after confirmations?

It shows up when it get's included in the first block (first confirmation) which roughly takes 10 minutes.
272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Website started on: August 20, 2011, 10:20:50 AM
I'm putting together a new site to launch a Mining Co-Op on Second Life:

http://www.cryptbitcoinmining.com

I'm currently building a GUI Mining Manager Consol, but am finding much difficulty in my quest, as I'm not a programmer by nature.  I'm familiar with code, as a software application tester in real life, so I'm on a learn by trial and error quest as a way to spend my idle time here in Iraq.

Any developer/programmer types out there willing to assist would be greatly appreciated.  I've the GUI built, but there's no functional code behind it yet....

what's it written in?

274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 50 BTC stolen from my account on bitcoin7.com on: August 19, 2011, 12:22:32 PM
You're being lied to by bitcoin7.

171.171.195.67 is a Bank of America-owned IP that is not routed or globally accessible.
It can't access the internet, nor vice versa. There is no way that IP logged into the site.

That /24 has never hit the internet before, and as of this month (or this year or last year even) has never been online.

Or he's lying that he got the money stolen and just making up addresses. Smiley

I need some people to help me design a private pool as well as setting up a server and getting to know how to get everything working please PM me for the amount I will pay you and what you have done as well as what you will be doing for me thanks in advanced!

A pool that lets the miner choose what block chain his mhash goes to I will be renting a VPS server with most likely windows not very good with Linux at all. I will show you a layout of how I want the site to look like thanks in advanced! Also the VPS server will be only for up to 10 ghash or so unless my poll becomes popular i'll keep it private!

Ok, what do you mean by 'choose what blockchain', you won't be able to run a proper pool using windows, and how much are you paying?

What I mean by choose what block chain is the mining user can choose which chain he mines whether he wants to mine bitcoins or namecoins or ixcoins or i0coins whichever that user wants to put his mhash to it will mine and your pay depends one what you are doing if you just do the website I would pay  7.5 for the website 5 for the graphics and probably another 7.5 for setting up the server and configuring everything!

Well im offering just to set everything up + setup simplecoin or something. but a windows vps won't cut it.

Will linux vps cut it hehe

Yes.
276  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Win 0.5 BTC in this higher/lower game. on: August 19, 2011, 11:16:00 AM
Want to win 0.5 BTC? (Okay, I don't have much to give away, but this should be fairly simple).

All you have to do is guess a number between 0 and 100 (inclusive) by posting in this thread, then I will post HIGHER or LOWER.

Rules:

- Only 1 post/guess per member.
- MD5 of the number plus some other random things: e5c97082142b3d65ce55e5e36446577e (so you know I'm not cheating anyone and that the number has already been decided).

You can always report it to a moderator mate.

Well done, you just bumped a 3 day old thread and posted something thats already been posted.

I'm fairly certain it's a side-effect of the newbie restrictions.

I know.
