261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The new Naga coin and the story of the Hitbtc exchange on: December 22, 2017, 12:36:14 AM
I have some NGC, but I don't get how they gain value. They've all been standardized to $1 USD = 1 NGC. The total market supply is around 300 mil NGC after the burned tokens from the presale. Hopefully their market cap is somewhere around there as well, but I don't see it being so.

If the NGC is going to be continuously readjusted to $1 USD, how are going to make money?
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP ICOs with a well working product on: December 20, 2017, 11:24:02 PM
INS just finished their ICO, and now they're on the token sale. The project and team are super good, and I would recommend looking at it. We're likely to make some serious bank on it.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that will make you RICH in 2018! on: December 20, 2017, 11:20:43 PM
WOW, on every thread several people are pumping XSPEC.  I get you love it but at some point the continuous posts start having a negative ROI and people eyes just glaze over.

IT seems like an interesting coin but what would be helpful is addressing some of the concerns

1) The project has very limited funds

2) I think there is maybe only 2 developers.

3) All brad awareness and marketing is done by the community.  Which can be great but can also lead to what is happening now on these boards.  Also, if the coin doesn't move much and starts going sideways then support from volunteers to spread the message  will wane

4) Other coins in the space might not have all the features, but they have HUGE brand recognition, market share, decent size teams, and funds.  Maybe XSPEC can overcome all this, I am not sure but wish you all luck Smiley Cool

Yeah, I feel like Spectrecoin is currently overhyped. Is it undervalued? Yes. But how much so?
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 20, 2017, 11:17:57 PM
Charlie Lee "sold all his litecoin" to "prove" he has no conflict of interest promoting Litecoin.

No Charlie, that's not what that would prove!  Smiley

It proves that you are spineless. A disgusting fish faced gook who stands for nothing! Congratulations!

Somehow dumping Litecoin at the top is supposed to be applauded by your nimwit cult?

Hi, I'm Charlie Lee inventor of Litecoin. It is an amazing system for sending value, it has massive room to grow, you should buy it now that its moved from $2 to $300! Oh you want me to show you how it works? Sorry, I don't own any.

Fuck You!

C'mon dude...chill out with that racism. It's a coin that you can still sell near an all time high if you hate him so much.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safex being delisted from Cryptopia and Bittrex on: December 20, 2017, 11:13:30 PM
Nah, it isn't a scam. It's just gone from Bittrex and recently delisted from Cryptopia. There are still plenty of other exchanges that it could be potentially listed on in the future.

Heck, it may be back up on Cryptopia soon.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All crypto prices are going down. on: December 20, 2017, 06:07:36 PM
I think that it's due to the Bitcoin Cash announcement. Lots of people are selling other coins to get some Bitcoin Cash. I also think that the seasonal and price corrective suggestions are somewhat true as well.

With that being said, Verge is an unstoppable beast at the moment. Do you guys think it will overtake Monero?
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7000$ to invest for 2018 on: December 19, 2017, 02:01:47 AM
POWR has already increased a lot during the last few days, if you are looking for a good coin, then better to look over those coins who already made more than 10% today, and buy those.

I looking for POWR and ARK, but maybe you have a better opportunities ?

Most of the altcoins that did more than ten percent of increase are the serious ones (pivx - powr - cardano - neo)

Those are never going to make you lose money, trust me, i have a lot of money in to those altcoins and i am making a lot of profit from them.

Great post. I was just checking the highest gains on coinmarketcap earlier and noticed this. There are some exceptions, but yeah the biggest players are oftentimes making the biggest gains.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 7000$ to invest for 2018 on: December 18, 2017, 10:07:24 PM
I have almost the same amount in cryptos right now Cheesy

I would hold most of it in BTC lets say 50%

The 10% i would gave to really really promising icos i think 3 are good enough if only one skyrockets you have your money.

So you have 40% left. Give them to which are good, promising, have strong dev team,... and most importantly, they have clear and strong roadmap in Q1 2018 ...of course in whole year 2018.

I have most in NEO right now, ETH is always good choice. I think NEO is going to skyrocket, it recently went through difficoult audit so i believe that next year same date it is going to have the same value as the ETH has now.

Other alts I put trust into are

Stratis - the same reason as NEO
Omise GO
SiaCoin
Shift

I think POWR, syscoin and IOTA, MONERO...all of them are rally good choices but is up to you, but at least i recommand this percentage Smiley

This is good advice.

I would generally put $1k into a strong top coin like Litecoin or Ethereum, put $2.5k into a few strong top 20 coins like IOTA, TRON, NEM, or EOS. I would put $3k into promising coins below the $500 mil cap, and I would put the remainng $500 dollars into some promising ICOs.

But I'm not a financial professional qualified to do financial advice, so take my words with a grain of salt.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which altcoins to buy ? on: December 16, 2017, 08:24:16 PM
Ones I've invested in and believe are definitely worthwhile:

Ethereum
Litecoin
IOTA
TRON
Ripple
Stellar
Siacoin
Substratum
NewYorkCoin
LiteDoge
Kin

With $1000, I'd diversify. Find coins with strong technology and platforms, and a real use case. If they are under a cent, or even fifty cents, you can get thousands of them.

You must be really happy about those top 5 right about now. Good choices.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Name the coins you think can catch up with Bitcoin's price in the future? on: December 16, 2017, 07:35:37 PM
I don't think that this is something feasible. Bitcoin keeps being the leader and its success is only enlarged as altcoins grow. Bitcoin acts as the entry to all crypto markets and hence as the economy grows so will bitcoin's dominance.

That's a fair point.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Name the coins you think can catch up with Bitcoin's price in the future? on: December 16, 2017, 06:59:22 PM
I honestly believe that bitcoin is doomed to fail, unless there's a huge improvement in its associated speed and transaction fees. My guess is that Litecoin or another privacy-based coin like Monero, or a speed-based coin like Dash will take over as the primary crypto. My bet is on Litecoin, since it is already becoming a popular bitcoin alternative.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If All your investment is $100.00. What will you do? Atlcoins? on: December 16, 2017, 05:18:50 PM
I would invest in a top coin that has less than $400 mil valuation. Find one that you like and believe in, preferably one that offers a new service that the top 10 coins don't offer, or offers privacy features. Sit and wait, and watch your money go.

For a much safer bet, invest in Litecoin. It's still got about 10x more to grow, in my opinion.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safex being delisted from Cryptopia and Bittrex on: December 15, 2017, 11:23:50 PM
I'm curious about this myself. I don't want to sell them, and I think that SafeX still has a good future. I'm curious about others' opinions.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin period of volatility is over? on: December 15, 2017, 01:52:37 AM
The bitcoin futures market currently has high margin requirements that are keeping a lot of investors away. Regulators have noticed Bitcoin's volatility and are probably trying to prevent the bubble cycle that is usually triggered in part by futures trading.

But then again, I'm relatively new. I may not know what I'm talking about.  Cheesy
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: put 1k into waves on: December 13, 2017, 12:05:35 AM
I think that it's $1,000 well invested.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next x3 to x10 Coin in 2018 on: December 12, 2017, 11:58:01 PM
I think all of the top 10 coins will grow by at least 3x in 2018.

The hidden gems are the low market cap coins that provide real and novel value.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin to the moon? on: December 12, 2017, 12:26:33 PM
I think the main force driving Litecoin's growth is Bitcoin's slow transactions, as well as Etherium's Kitty-based congestion. I wonder if (hope) the value will decrease once these issues get sorted out.

But, does Litecoin deserve to have such a surge? Yeah. It's just a matter of whether its ascension is premature or not.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: December 12, 2017, 03:26:38 AM
I'm buying LTC on the readjustment. Let's ride this to the moon.  Cool
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Which Altcoins you believe can go to the mainstream market in the comming years? on: December 11, 2017, 05:31:12 PM
Bitcoin is in the process. But what other altcoin can make the most out of the craze in the market which Bitcoin has created. I think that it will take few more years for the other cryptocurrency to become a mainstream currency. And it will remain to be a financial asset for time being. XRP and WTC may come out the earliest to the market with the things going around them.

In my opinion the only alt-coins that are going to fare well in the coming years or be able to secure themselves a place in crypto are the coins that bring something new to the table; the coins that fill a need, or bring a solution to a problem are the ones that are going to be adopted, traded and worth investing into.

The current fees, and slow transaction confirmation speed will most likely drive the price of something like DASH up, because it is a pretty solid answer to the biggest problem of the day for bitcoin. It seems like alt-coins do their best when bitcoin is at it's worst, so you have to analyze which coins are actually remedying a pain-point and tell those apart from the pump-and-dump ICOs.

Bitcoin remains the most secure and still has had a couple of issues over the years in that area, but people can't feel secure using a coin if they can't move their coins freely, either.. So this gives you an idea of what coins to keep your eye on and when. It is also incredibly difficult for the regular person to get into bitcoin, acquire a bitcoin, so in that respect other coins also give beginner's an easier time when they're first getting into crypto; there are just too many variable to tell you a list of coins that will perform, but some simple criteria will give you an algorithmic approach to picking alt-coin winners..

This.

The most attractive altcoins to rise from this next generation will be ones that remedy a problem of the previous gen, or ones that extend blockchain technology into other commercial applications. That, and the big names like Ethereum and Litecoin will stay to grow as well.

So many new projects are based off the ETH blockchain that I'm confident it's going to grow substantially.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Token price fall after ICO on: December 11, 2017, 02:30:18 PM
EnjinCoin is an example : https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/enjin-coin/
But I believe it will go to the moon Dec 31 . SmileyGrin Grin

Thanks for the tip. I checked out EnjinCoin, and I think you might be right.
