261  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: In their defense, BF Labs Inc. has excellent Customer Service. on: August 20, 2013, 10:44:50 PM
Meanwhile... on Google...
I think I need to put even MOAR keywords in the yutube description. didn't we have a bunch already in another thread. EDIT: Found it. I'll add this to the description.

you don't understand how to communicate with others in a professional manner until forced to by your own actions

 Touche.

I would like to think my experiences with being fired as a customer by Butterfly Labs has ultimately helped me become a better person.

BULLSHIT!

The Google search spider will end up with dozens of pages on how to get a refund from BFL!
It will be the first link people see when they Google butterfly labs  Grin

PSA:
If you have ordered from BFL and have not yet received your product, you are entitled to a refund whenever you request one (per FTC rules).
First ask BFL for one, they will probably say no but you might get lucky.
If you ordered via PayPal you can file a complaint with them even if you are outside the 45 day window. One customer has already gotten a refund from PayPal that was outside the 45 days.
If you ordered via BTC or Bank wire, you can fill out a complaint with the FTC and they will advocate for you with BFL to get your refund. You can also contact the office of the Kansas Attorney General and inform them that you have had your money taken with no product d
elivered for months, just more promises.

There are also several threads on how to get a refund from BFL, here are two:

I want to feel bad for BFL customers, but at this point they knew what they were signing up for. Fools, money.
I wonder what rigs he uses while his customers wait empty handed.
263  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: In their defense, BF Labs Inc. has excellent Customer Service. on: August 20, 2013, 10:30:38 PM
Yeah real stand up guy. Doesn't care that he mines bitcoins, no conflict there. I just figured he wasn't buying a monarch because they wont ever exist.

[11:15 PM]   jmanjes : Josh how many monarchs are you buying?
[11:15 PM]   RockyRacoon : Is there an expected date on which all "backorders" will be fulfilled?
[11:15 PM]   John Dow : 51%
[11:15 PM]   BFL_Josh : None personally... too much conflict of interest.

I thought it was quite interesting to see that BFL may be reducing their product warranty from lifetime to 1 year only (as BFL_Josh stated)
https://forums.butterflylabs.com/pre-sales-questions/4430-lifetime-warranty-expires-65nm-parts-once-monarch-ships.html

Interesting that Josh would give the accusation this much attention, how many posts is that of his in this thread?

True and most of it seemed to be concerned with proof of fraud or attorneys. He knows or is worried about what's coming. I threw a quick message out in the shoutbox yesterday asking who might be intertested in launching a class action action against BFL, sort of a tentative feeler: banned for trolling within 2 minutes. I also tried to start a thread about it as well: never got published. Anyway, I'll just wait for word back from attorneys and see what happens.

LOL I saw you there, after they banned you Josh (in typical style) called said you were Fukt from "bitcointroll".

I should have never trusted Inaba, such a douche bag-hitler
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BFL Extremely Abusive on: August 20, 2013, 09:13:54 PM
They've been taking pre-orders for ASICS early 2012, they have now taken more than 12-18 months to deliver on their products.
Of course, this is a lie.  Not a single order's scheduled delivery date is more than 10 months old.  Where you get the claim of 12 - 18 months is beyond me, but it's completely, unequivocally false (in other words, an outright lie.)

Inaba / BFL_Josh is wrong - as usual.

Even if BFL ships those MONARCHS on DEC 2013...

Profit is still very low:

http://mining.thegenesisblock.com/a/f068ec2473

Is there anything that will be more profitable than the Monarch (if it ever really shows up)?
xCrowd, if not a scam.

I hope they pan out. That would give us two options.
Same. looking forward to more info from what I hope to be many reliable companies.
273  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 20, 2013, 03:20:40 AM
All the thousands of folks currently mining with BFL have a different viewpoint.

99% of those folks despise BFL just cause they may be mining with them doesn't mean they don't want to kick BFL's ass

If they hate BFL so much they shouldn't support the company by using their products.
hindsight is 50/50 isn't it.

Timing is everything. The price of a product, however competitive means squat if a more expensive device gets a significant lead on ROI before network saturation becomes so significant later, reputedly more efficient devices are made redundant before they get a chance to compete for the customer.

What I'm most confused about w.r.t. BFL and especially x-crowd. Is why pre-order at all when both are supposedly fully-funded. I mean admittedly BFL is using a delay tactic to transfer disgruntled customers. But x-crowd claim so valiantly they don't need to touch pre-order funds. But insist in collecting them anyway?!

Anyone who wants a 100% pre-order instead of a 10% deposit needs the funds to finance development and/or production.

I know this, you know this.

It's as bad as those pretending to guarantee refunds off their own steam, unanswerable to a third party ageeeing to assume liability on behalf of the customers.

More gambling with customer monies without accountability.
I do like the idea of John K. escrow with xCrowd, but I haven't seen anything from him on the situation yet.

I saw $118 on coinbase SELL today! My eyes popped.
279  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL announces 28nm 600GH/S blade for $4680 on: August 20, 2013, 12:00:02 AM
The only people I know that have placed orders for a Monarch so far, are the ones that intend to sell their place in the queue for a profit. I guess that's better ROI than actually mining. Sounds like cryptobounty!
thats a huge risk to take if you go sell your pre order on eBay, as far as a potential chargeback or negative feedback is concerned. As a seller you still have to hope like hell they deliver product, its like you have to provide the excuses to your customer instead of BFL doing it as they should.
280  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Butterfly Labs New 600GH "Mining Card" - RED FLAGS?!?! on: August 19, 2013, 11:54:13 PM
I don't get on to much anymore, but what is this about bfl being served papers by the feds or something?

22 people and companies were served.  Nothing to do with BFL, specifically.  Senate and NY Attorney General wanna get a bigger picture.  It's all about control And I laugh when I see people say the govt can never control Bitcoin.

2 words:  National Security!
they want to get the money transmitters and employers to report bitcoin paid as income, i think thats about all they can do. Maybe some money laundering measures.
