What is the going rate of MAX on Coins-E? It looks like it's 0.03 btc per coin selling but the buying is way lower and all the numbers are stats out.

Do you just sell at the default numbers they give you?

There's something freaky going on there with the market depth.

You can't see what the going price is.

So now I just put in sell orders for 0.000001 BTC / MAX - it doesn't execute at that price, it executes at the highest (invisible) bid. Try this with a small amount of MAX and you'll see.

Actually... I think it's something else. Place the sell orders for round numbers (1st decimal). Don't try and sell to the 5th decimal.

Who knows. I've been trying to get orders through for the last hour. I think my combination of 0.000001 BTC / MAX, plus 1st decimal is now finally taking.

thanks a lot! i get about 20% less mhashs compared to the solo miner, is that normal?

My Spoetnik client also has 20% less mhashs compared to the solo mining one on page 1 of this thread. (Tested within seconds of each other, with the exact same settings).

How can i get a damn wallet address? help would be much appreciated

Thanks

Go to coins-e and click 'Deposit Maxcoin'. It will give you a wallet address without you needing a wallet.

For the moment 43 accepted 7 rejected

Could you share the binary?

Link proving "PREMINED" or it is not.

PREMINED SHIT COIN

Don't need Premining anymore. Maxcoin has now set a new standard for new altcoins to follow.

Instead of pre-mining, you lie to people about what software will be available, then at the last minute switch it on them so they have no time to prepare, release software that doesn't work to the pools, and start mining yourself while everybody else is scrambling.

Books will be written about the genius of the scheme one day.

only good exp. with windows and 3.12 since days and 3.12.1 since today as well (way better than with the RPi). Many thanks to you too.

I can't say whether it's actually working better. It's different. Instead of getting the familiar:

[2014-02-04 09:45:09] HFA 0 NOTICE: ######################### WARNING: Work Watchdog Reboot Imminent!
 [2014-02-04 09:45:11] HFA 0 HFGetHeader usb read err:(-99) LIBUSB_ERROR_OTHER
 [2014-02-04 09:45:11] HFA 0 attempted reset got err:(-5) LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_FOUND
 [2014-02-04 09:45:11] HFA 0: device disappeared, disabling
 [2014-02-04 09:45:11] HFA 0 failure, disabling!
 [2014-02-04 09:45:11] HFA 0: hfa_send_frame: USB Send error, ret -4 amount 0 vs. tx_length 8
 [2014-02-04 09:45:17] Hotplug: Hashfast added HFA 1

Which we've all come to know and love, I now get pages and pages of the following spew on reset:

attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
HFGetHeader usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
HFGetHeader usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
HFGetHeader usb read err:(-1) LIBUSB_ERROR_IO
attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
...

I don't think it resets any less frequently, and because of the long spew, cgwatcher takes a little longer to reset it in fact.

There's probably no way around the firmware watchdog, it's just the cgminer now behaves differently

Guys, is mining on nVidias really such overkill? Ive heared they are hashing like 180 mhs on this.. lol.. on servers we get upto 1 mhs per machine.. pretty scarry if nVidias do this.. but I dont have it..
Can anyone confirm  on deny this please?

I get > 100mhs using Cudaminer, but the shares aren't accepted, either Solo or Pool. My 15mhs of CPU miners are doing MUCH better.

really? But I bet you are doing 100 mhs out of one card but  15 mhs out of CPU is like from 10 DigiOceans droplets, right? Cheesy

So is mining on cards worth or it just doesnt work?

No, not droplets. I have a few Core i7's lying around. But yes, the CPU's are MUCH more expensive than the equivalent GPU's.

But I haven't seen any evidence of the GPU's actually working.

Apparently the Cuda miners only work for Solo mining, but I've been on it from the beginning without any blocks. The tricky thing is - you can point Cudaminer at a pool, and it will appear to work as well, but it definitely doesn't (your throughput on the pool stays at 0). So there is no way to tell if it actually works for solo, or just prints out stuff on the screen.

Why is coins-e not executing orders anymore? Bid is way higher than ask?

Wow. 500 diff. This coin is now harder to mine than LiteCoin. And we're trying to solo mine it??

Is there a question in there somewhere?

Your heard right!
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: February 07, 2014, 12:42:57 AM
Hurry up Coins-e and complete my order!

I spent like .1 bitcoin and ended up with ~500,000 maxcoin.

Got in the first 10 minutes. Such luck.

Really want to start buying bitcoin now, but can not as it has not cleared. (yet)

Thoughts??

That is very interesting since there are only 58'560 maxcoins in existence right now. If you paid 0.1 bitcoin for 500'000 anything, you're simply out of 0.1 bitcoin. You don't have 500'000 maxcoins.

Of course, most probably you're just lying, but maybe you were scammed.

They then give windows users a wallet that no one has a fucking clue how to use, and when you try and run it, it simply crashes.

I know very well how to use the -d clients on Windows. I've done it forever. The client they released simply does not work.

However, by pushing out bits and pieces saying it will work on Windows, but then not actually making it work on Windows, they wanted everyone (including the pools) to be caught off-guard so we didn't have time to set up alternative configurations.

They're basically wasting everyone's time so that they're the only ones that can mine. It's premining without calling it premining.

If you're seeing anything in the CryptoCoin world that looks like spectacular incompetence beyond belief, then it's generally not that - it's just outright fraud that they're covering up by attempting to appear clueless.
