361  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free cloud-based stratum proxy for Slush & BTCGuild (beta) on: December 06, 2013, 07:54:44 AM
Ok, I'm upgrading eastcoastbtc with another processor. Let's see how it goes.

You'll notice a small service interruption in eastcoastbtc - if you have your blades correctly configured, they should fall over to another server automatically within a few seconds.

Done. I've upgraded eastcoastbtc, followed by upgrading westcoastbtc.

Please let me know if you're on that server if you're experiencing a difference in performance (either better or worse).

I wanted to try this out on btcguild with 5 blades I'm using the eastcoast and 8884,8885,8886 on at least one to see what worked the best. It started out looking good but then just stayed between 4GH TO 6GH on all of them but the config page shows higher, I saw a few posted like that but no solution. Let me know what you think i could do? thanks

363  Economy / Services / Re: BTCMiners "Cloud Hashing" | $8.50 USD per GH/s! on: December 01, 2013, 05:42:36 AM
Doug,

You may want to consider what you're doing. Wire Fraud is no joke. It's not like when you were arrested 2 years ago for that meth lab.

The feds don't play games - and you've left PLENTY of evidence behind in your wake. We know who you are. This is a federal offense - you can't just move to a different state this time. Do you really want to be on the run for the rest of your life in order to pocket a few thousand $?

You've probably started this because the BTC 31.5 you borrowed ran out of your control due to the BTC price increase, so you tried this scam to get yourself out of the hole.

This is not the way to do it - if you don't pay back agath, it's bad, but so far it will at most impact your credit - if that. If you however are convicted of wire fraud, you're going to go away for 20 years.

You're 42 now, so you'll be 62 at the time you get out. Is this really worth it?

You can still get out of this by paying back the money that you "borrowed" at this point, and blaming it on Advanced Mining not delivering in time.
364  Economy / Exchanges / Re: ***CEX.IO Cloud mining official page*** on: November 30, 2013, 04:24:18 AM
CEX,

Is your GHASH.IO pool currently down (for non-cex.io miners)? I have several proxy servers for blades that currently cannot connect to the pool. Only my CEX.IO account is mining.

I also see the pool just dropped by 300 TH over the last few shifts.
365  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free cloud-based stratum proxy for Slush & BTCGuild (beta) on: November 30, 2013, 04:13:15 AM
My miners are suddenly not mining through the proxy. The logs show they stopped at 10:53pm est. All my other miners that don't use the proxy are running just fine. My blades ares just not going through for some reason.

Are you on GHash.IO by any chance?

Same for me. It seems to be a glitch with the pool. Not sure if there is anything I can do about it. All my proxies to GHash.IO are currently seeing this:

2013-11-30 04:10:24,381 INFO proxy mining_proxy.on_disconnect # Disconnected from Stratum pool at nl1.ghash.io:3333
2013-11-30 04:10:24,410 INFO stats stats.print_stats # 0 peers connected, state changed 1 times
2013-11-30 04:11:31,979 INFO stats stats.print_stats # 1 peers connected, state changed 1 times
2013-11-30 04:12:24,371 ERROR proxy client_service.on_timeout # Connection to upstream pool timed out
2013-11-30 04:12:24,388 INFO proxy mining_proxy.on_disconnect # Disconnected from Stratum pool at nl1.ghash.io:3333

And the GHash.IO pool speed for the last shift dropped by 300 TH. I think they have a problem with non-hosted miners right now.
366  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free cloud-based stratum proxy for Slush & BTCGuild (beta) on: November 29, 2013, 03:35:05 AM
Thanks, this is awesome!

I'm glad i found this because I've been having trouble running Stratum Proxy on my PC...

However, after about an hour of mining at 2 different pools I have only achieved about 50% hash rate.

Is that normal for using the cloud-based proxy? is it something i can fix on my end?

Thanks again!

Definitely not normal. I've been averaging > 99% for months.

How fast is your internet connection?
367  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free cloud-based stratum proxy for Slush & BTCGuild (beta) on: November 28, 2013, 04:30:24 AM
was on port 8884,   its back to normal now.... maybe it was something on my end.....

Yeah, keep in mind the data from the proxy to the blade is VERY chatty and inefficient (That's why pools want to use stratum and not GetWork anymore).  Those servers send out over 2 TB of data per month to the various users!

So if there is any internet glitches on the way between the blade and the proxy it will hit your perf much harder than if the proxy was right next to the blade and it talked Stratum over the wire.

For the most part it works out fine though, but it is something to consider.
368  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Free cloud-based stratum proxy for Slush & BTCGuild (beta) on: November 28, 2013, 02:37:28 AM
anyone else getting horrible speed on the eastcoast server?

Which pool and port? Some of my own blades are connected to eastcoastBTC, to GHash.IO pool, and getting 13ghz. No dip in the graph over last 24 hours.

Hashfast shall have no obligations for breach of warranty if the alleged defect or non-conformance is found to have occurred as a result of operation in an ambient temperature other than 5-22 degrees Celsius (40-72 degrees  Fahrenheit)
Better not mine during summertime!
Did they just say "warranty void if ambient temp goes over 22c"?

That is completely unreasonable. Ambient below 72F ? WTF is going on over there at HashFast ?

They did say initially on the web site that the BabyJet and Sierra requires a data center environment to run. Just be glad that it's only temperature and doesn't require a class 1 cleanroom!

I will Buy Batch 1 Pre Orders For Baby Jet

I will Pay what you Paid At the time of Purchase I will Pay the USD Equiv of what you paid in BTC at the Time you Bought it So if you Paid 60 btc and BTC was $100  each i will pay $6,000 but you must show proof of what you paid and i am Able to Verify what you paid

I have a Baby Jet Batch 1 + upgrade chip (so 800ghs).

Baby Jet was $5800.30 + upgrade was: $1553.59. I have proof of both - they give the invoice in US$, even if you paid via BTC.  It was ordered with overnight shipping so I'll get it quickly after delivery.

I'll sell both for US$8000 which includes 2-day shipping to anywhere in the U.S. (I have to probably make multiple shipments to you which is the first BabyJet, the Upgrade chip, and then the MPP chips). If in another country, I'll have to re-figure shipping, also if you want overnight shipping.

Paypal or BTC is ok, at the then-current 'Coinbase' sell rate.

Order Number?
and where are you located???

BabyJet: 1540
Upgrade: 2019 (It should really be 1977, but they didn't respond for the longest time when I asked them to pay, so finally responded and changed my order number. They assured me all upgrades will ship on the same day, so wouldn't matter).

I'm in WA state, US.

Wow.. shit load to read Sad

Straight question please.. Has HashFast delivered to anyone?  If so, does it work and the quality?  Or is it a billy bullshit company?

Ta

No, but the latest delivery date (when they were still communication) was mid of December for Batch 1. So hard to say at this point whether they're just quite, or whether they've absconded with the money & chips.

"Even so, the latest delivery estimates for the modified, improved substrate design are three weeks from today. This means that we would be shipping our first rigs mid-December. "

The chips from mining with 500 BabyJets at this point would be worth ~$800k per day for them, where the revenue by selling them initially was only $2.7m total.

So it would be hard to imagine that they would actually disappear completely rather than just mine with the hardware for 2 months (can probably get between $10m and $15m) while citing various excuses and then ship it. They obviously haven't done this though - we would have seen a much bigger hashrate increase.

So the only reason for them to disappear completely is if they realized there was a fundamental design flaw and the chips don't work at all.
373  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [Need Advice] Which would be best to buy? Hasfast or Cointerra on: November 19, 2013, 11:54:04 AM
All Batch 1 BabyJets include MPP.  We initialized the MPP early (Oct 31) to make up for the time lost.

Can you clarify what does "initialized the MPP early" mean?

Doesn't that effectively just get you off the hook to deliver 4x the amount of GHS?

As things are looking right now, by starting MPP on October 31'st, you'll just have to deliver 800ghs per BabyJet, instead of the 1600ghs that it would otherwise take based on the actual delivery.

Unless you still plan to deliver 1600ghs per BabyJet, but deliver it on October 31'st + 90 days.  That would be most awesome.

everytime ive tried to connect to the Ghash ones  it doesnt work for me....   the btcguild ones are working like champs tho!       Cheesy

That is odd... There are a few people connected to the GHash ones right now. I don't have a lot of experience with GHash. I know I can't offer an Eligius proxy because of the way they calculate miner difficulty when multiple miners use the same proxy. Not sure if GHash has similar issues. But yeah, I found btcguild to be the most reliable as well.

okay i got it running thank you so much sir post your payment address for a tip. Cheesy

Thanks! Tip address is:

How did you get it working with mining at GHASH? can i have the mining_proxy compiled for Ghash sent to me? sebuh@live.com

thanks.

It's unmodified.

Here's my script that connects to GHASH:

start "GH:1" mining_proxy.exe -o nl1.ghash.io -p 3333 -sp 3344 -gp 8904
start "GH:2" mining_proxy.exe -o nl1.ghash.io -p 3333 -sp 3345 -gp 8905
start "GH:3" mining_proxy.exe -o nl1.ghash.io -p 3333 -sp 3346 -gp 8906

Thank you for this service. Are the east and west coast servers still up for btcguild?

West Coast was up & has lots of people connected to it.

East Coast was down, but I just brought it back up again.
377  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Did HashFast delivered any BabyJet yet ? on: November 13, 2013, 08:38:30 PM
Sigh. If they did not delay the Baby Jet would have ROI'd in $, given the current BTC/$.

As it's going now, we'll be lucky if we're able to buy a Block Erupter with its output.

which leaves Jane that I cant put anywhere.

The account that you do the double-spend to.
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GHash.IO and double-spending against BetCoin Dice on: November 10, 2013, 11:51:05 AM
Can someone explain this to me like a 5yr old please

Sure. Imagine 3 sisters (let's call them the Potters).

Annie owns 1 doll.  Sally owns 1 doll.  Jane owns no dolls.

Now of course, doll ownership in the Potter household is only as good as to when Annie, Sally, Jane, Mom and Dad agrees to who owns what. Annie can't just take Sally's doll, as everyone knows it's not hers and will just restore rightful ownership.

However, Annie comes up with a plan. She makes a bet with Sally at school. She rolls a dice, with the terms that if Sally wins Sally would get Annie's doll when they get home. If Annie wins, she would get Sally's doll.

Let's say Sally is honest but Annie is not. The roll the dice. If Annie happens to win, Sally gives her the doll. They're both happy... well, except for Sally - but they're in agreement at least.

However, if Annie happens to lose, she quickly goes running to Jane and say: "Hey Jane, remember that doll that I have, I can trade it to you for your bottle of Corona". Jane says ok, so then they phone up mom and dad, and say: "Hey mom, Annie's doll now belongs to Jane, and Jane's Corona now belongs to Annie".  Mom and Dad says ok, so now Annie's doll now belongs to Jane, and Annie starts her long journey of Corona addiction that ends with her turning tricks on Hollywood Boulevard until one very unfortunate night with Gary Busey... but more about that at another time.

Meanwhile, Sally gets home and finds that she's not getting Annie's doll. Since everybody else now thinks that Annie doesn't have a doll anymore, and it now belongs to Jane. Sally can complain like she wants, but mom and dad doesn't understand why Sally would make a bet with Annie against a doll that really belongs to Jane. Of course, in real life Sally would now beat up Annie with a baseball bet, which is why a stunt like this works better in BitCoin land than in Vegas (well, except if you cross DPR.).

Very unlucky, mining really is becoming a fools game.

You can read my post on the destruction of GH/s values, a decrease of a 1000% in 7 months.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327604.0

And you can read my post of why that can't happen...
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=327448.0

However, let's leave the typical "I should be the only person to be allowed mining and all your other f*****s should stop buying miners and increasing my difficulty" comments for other threads. This is just about the HashFast delivery.
