262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bank account suspended for buying bitcoins? on: February 12, 2016, 05:26:21 PM
Hi, my bank account was suspended for sending a large sum over £500 to a person. i called my bank and said i was sending it to my friend but then i was asked where i got the money from and i said from my brother (because i was buying bitcoins for my brother). Now I have to go into my bank and show them my brothers bank statement saying that he send xxx amount of money to my paypal and from my paypal it went into my bank account. (btw my brother sent it from his paypal to my paypal because he doesn't have online banking and the banks were closed at the time for a cash deposit to my account). Has this happened to anyone else? thanks
i dont think that bank will ask your money come from,is you life in conflict country or similiar?i just think its will happen to me or other people if we never sent any big amount of money, and suddenly we sent it,of course bank will curious.
263  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How I was scammed ...... on: February 12, 2016, 05:24:07 PM
Hi........I just wanted to give a brief summary of how I was recently scammed......mainly for informational purposes and so others can be on the look-out for this method. I also would like to hear if this is a fairly common way to scam people...or something rather new.     I know I will get a lot of ridicule for falling for such a blatant scam............but I thought this could be a learning experience, so hopefully I  won't get too many negative comments.   Tongue

The scammer saw my post and asked me if I had ICQ      (trading BTC for prepaid debit card codes)

I set up my ICQ, and we negotiated rates, etc. He was very professional, patient, and he said said "I'll go first."  (He would start the transaction)

He asked me to create a Bitcoin wallet on blockchain.info so he could see that I had the coins ready for trade. So I moved my coins to the blockchain wallet.

He then said that since he will be taking the risk by sending the codes first, he would like to view my screen to make sure the code is used properly. (There may have been another reason for this too.)  In order to do this....he wanted me to download a program called "Team Viewer" that allowed him "see" my screen in real-time.

I downloaded the program "Team Viewer" and started it up ...... he told me he could see my screen, etc......then somehow he asked to see my bitcoin wallet to verify the coins on blockchain.   Once I logged into my bitcoin wallet on blockchain........BLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAM....... I saw my bitcoin balance being withdrawn in a flash.     END OF STORY

So obviously, besides my stupidity, it was the "Team Viewer" program that allowed him to pull off this scam.  I'm still not sure how that program works.....for instance, how could it allow him to also be logged into my bitcoin wallet on blockchain???  How could two computers be accessing the same wallet like that?

Thanks for any input and hopefully this will help somebody in the future from being scammed in this way.   I appreciate any constructive feedback...........

good story to post here, and feel sorry for what happen to you,its a warning for us,there was some hacker that use application, they really smart, and now we have lesson, dont trust any download that you dont want to do it.

271  Economy / Marketplace / Re: idea for online bitcoin shops on: February 12, 2016, 04:40:31 PM
hi,

just had a small idea: what if bitcoin shops had this feature: buy this item if its cheaper than XBTC?
this would include BTC/USD conversation and product price changes.

the customer could deposit the money (and maybe withdraw it in case that after some time when his target isnt reached he doesnt want it anymore)

IMHO this should enable shops to plan better which should lead to cheaper prices (well at least for big shops. not sure if there are any atm)

please share your opinions ;-)
nice idea,i think its will give benefit to customer and seller,i hope this can applied to some online shop.

275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you truly believe that you are alive? on: February 12, 2016, 04:17:16 PM
We are created from atoms and cells.
Essentially we are just a sophisticated biological machine in which when one piece of matter moves or behaves in a certain way it creates a chain reaction.
A beautiful mathematical and biological orchestra of unfathomable precision.
Given enough time and resources every component that makes up our bodies and minds can be dismantled and explained through science.
So i ask again do you truly believe that you are alive?

yes i am alive, even people who have so many body deficiency and brain, they alive even they can use their brain, their cells, because they not stop to breath.

279  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: February 12, 2016, 03:10:08 PM
I came to figure out, why would a consumer/customer use Bitcoins?
You have to pay the 3 cent fee, while you dont have to pay anything when paying with a credit card.

So what is really a benefit for using Bitcoins, customer wise?
as long customer serve with third party application or startup, the benefit is not too much, but customer will more ease use bitcoin if directly pay wallet to wallet.
