Inaba, I realised that the JSON API is not returning the worker list. Can you take a look?

BTW, big hashing power jump...80ghs+ now.

Yeah, I just fired up my CPU miner Cheesy

It's the village.idiot. Don't panic. He started mining on another CPU. Cheesy

j/k.

Server is back up.

I hope it's not because some miners got rigs at the same data center and caused the power issue.  Grin

I will make that ability available asap.  The data is there, just no way to get to it.

Thanks Inaba.

Crap, the server is down.

http://status.namecheap.com/?p=5218

I actually signed up for godaddy and ran into problems and got a refund within 14 days of sign up.

Lightning does strike twice.

I just checked my profile, and I realised found a block. Should be recent. Anyway to know which block?

I'll probably use the block number for lottery. Grin

They are reputable and I've bought many things (gadgets) from them. Batteries holders, iphone usb cable (<US$2). Prices include shipping so it's really cheap.

You pay for what you get. But some are great bargains. I got a ipad bluetooth keyboard for half the price there compared to another site (thinkgeek.com).

If you are building new rigs, check out their "Bulk rate". $3.49 shipped if you order 10+ units.  Grin

Their customer service (email) is fast and responsive.

The absolute turnoff is their in-determinant shipping time. Shipping is 2 weeks to 8 weeks like Jack of Diamonds said. Sometimes I would have forgotten about a purchase and then it turns up at my doorstep. (yap, I checked out the shopping basket worth $1.99. No minimum purchase.)

Comparatively 9mart.com ships faster, from hong kong as well.

It's a nice site I'll buy things from, but if you are in a hurry, you'll hate them.

Actually I'm looking to build one of these as a next project after btc-poolwatch.

I read somewhere once that a guy placed 2 pc close enough that he reset one pc by opening the cd tray of ther other... Grin

Great idea. If only have I have CD rom drives....

Anyway, I'm skipping this reset thing, since I have very good up time on my machines now. (7 days and counting)

rearwheels would you be willing to add some basic earnings/accounting section.

Im thinking it would be nice to use btc poolwatch that allready combines the confirmed/unconfirmed and estimated earnings in one block for all listed pools however it would be even more usefull if we could select an earnings range or at the very least have 24hr earnings calculated for confirmed/unconfirmed/estimated earnings.

This way we could more easily figure out what we made in a 24hr cycle compared to expected returns based on hashrate. Users on more than one pool it starts to get tricky to keep accurate 24hr cycle track of earnings.

i dont know much about cookies...but can it save the time of your last visit, and the confirmed/unconfirmed? and when you come back the site tells us since your last visit, at 12:06 pm on monday you made X coins?

In a way, that's possible, but if you have automatic payout, your second visit will have less confirmed payout than the earlier, so the delta does not make sense, similiarly for unconfirmed payouts.

Hi guys,

I'm migrating to the new server. The DNS will take up to 48 hours to propagate.

No action is necessary on your part.

The server is now in US instead of Asia, so it should be faster for most of you.

"Software Engineering 101: Keeping fingers crossed after hitting enter."

*edit: pointed to the wrong DNS server. Have updated and thus you may experience a slight downtime due to the name servers pointing to the wrong dns I gave. Damn murphy's law.

273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Signatures: Did you have received donations? on: August 07, 2011, 04:04:49 AM
I've got about 5btc so far for www.btc-poolwatch.com

That's 5btc more than i've expected. Some users donated more than once, after i've implemented a feature request.

It will never match the rate I would charge for normal work. But i'm doing it for interest and as long as it helps to covers the webhosting cost, it's great.
274  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: *BTC Poolwatch* - Monitor 18 different pools! [Web/Mobile] on: August 04, 2011, 10:07:28 AM

Server is back up...after a freaking 20hr+ down time.

I've sourced for a new webhoster and will move the server/code over next week.

Apologies, server is down.

block stats were updated really fast this time round.

Simeonk83: Yep, I'm working on that.  The problem is to get an accurate estimate if the round ended right then, the amount of SQL query time is fairly substantial (has to add up all the rows) and it's not really feasible to do it on an interval on a per user basis, either... so I'm looking at the best way to handle it that puts the least load on the server.  Might be able to get it done today, I'm hoping.

No worries, I have no doubt it's not easy Smiley     What if you made it only update on request?   In that someone has to physically press a button to update the estimation.   That way the queries only have to run when requested, rather than every x minutes?  Not sure if that helps Cheesy

I believe the SQL will take a fair bit of time to run, so if it is on-demand, after clicking, you will have to wait for a while before the information is displayed.

Secondly, if someone clicks on the link and the sql starts, but the user clicks to goto another page, the SQL will continue to run until it is completed or times out, replies to the web server which then does not display the information so the SQL processing time is wasted (similar to not having long poll).

I have a rubber/plastic floor mat between the motherboard and the plastic coated wire frame.
