261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin can be used as a method of payment online? on: June 29, 2016, 01:25:46 PM
whaat? bitcoin is a cryptocurrency its main point is to be used online lol. what did u think bitcoin was?

whether bitcoin is a great form of currency in the digital world is a matter of opinion, but almost everyone including me on this forum will tell you that bitcoin is an amazing form of currency.

263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much can u lose with gambling? on: June 29, 2016, 01:10:26 PM
if the question is How much "can" you lose? then the answer is extremely simple, you can lose everything in gambling, everyone knows that. But if the question was how much would you lose in gambling, i personally pull out of gambling after ive lost about 40% of what i came in with. i never stay long enough to lose everything
264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Final countdown [10 Days before the halving] on: June 29, 2016, 01:06:41 PM
Hopefully, this rocket is going to reach the moon : http://www.thehalvening.com/#1  Roll Eyes

I will continue to change the title each 24 hours (decrease one day) , who is excited like I am !
tbh i thought the halfing was going to happen around the end of july. your post gave me a happy surprise. Grin. I am probably going to buy a bunch more coins before it happens because i feel like the price can be a lot higher.
265  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Bitcoin price is too high? on: June 29, 2016, 12:59:12 PM
in todays market i feel like paying anything above 1000 usd per bitcoin would be a bit too much. however i expect the price is going to reach around that number when the halfing happens. Tongue
266  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: June 28, 2016, 12:35:25 PM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.
if i was in desperate need for money, that probably means i am not working at the moment. so the first thing i would is find a job in real life. and im pretty sure that would pay alot more than trying to earn bitcoin in the internet.
267  Economy / Goods / Re: Coin 2.0 - A smart device for all cards on: June 27, 2016, 01:08:36 PM
just saw the video on their website, looks pretty sweet  Shocked . are you selling a copy here? because it seems to be sold out on their website and i was looking to get one.

edit#: nvm just read your post properly, im in canada sadly. Sad
268  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 01:03:24 PM
im investing in bitcoin because its the first cryptocurrency ever. satoshi designed this currency because he believed bitcoin will turn out to be a competitor to other real life currencies. my investment is to support that claim.
269  Economy / Economics / Re: The Halving - Good or Bad for Bitcoin? on: June 27, 2016, 01:00:57 PM
As the title says, is the halving good or bad for the price of bitcoin?

The halving will decrease the supply of bitcoin, whole keeping the demand, so that would make bitcoin worth more.

But the halving will make mining profitibilty worse, meaning less miners, a higher trans. fee, and maybe causing a smaller demand.

What's your verdict?

I think bitcoin will still go up, as the fees might, let's say, double, but that's still a smaller transaction fee than through the banks...
Im looking forward to the halfing mainly because its going to bring something new and exciting to the bitcoin currency. whether it will be good or bad i dont yet know. but i hope it turns out to be good for bitcoin.if the price of bitcoin jumps up its going to bring a lot of popularity to bitcoin like the time it did when the price hit 1000
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Clean bitcoins on: June 27, 2016, 12:42:57 PM
Hello, Can anyone recommend a bitcoin mixer site to clean coins? Only recommend sites you used yourself and no posts from newbies please.
I've used bitmixer about 5 or so times in the past. mixing around 0.1 bitcoins each time and they delivered perfectly. i suggest you go with them.

also ive heard of people using an exchange to mix coins. you basically deposit money and withdraw and it pretty much mixes your coins.
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to invist / store my Bitcoins? on: June 26, 2016, 02:36:31 PM
Hey Guys,

I actually have 0.25 BTC but I dont know what to with it.
I already tought about to invest it in a website like hashocean.com but I am afraid to lose all my Satoshis. :-/
So whats your idea where to invest or something different to do with the 0.25 BTC.

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley
i would definitely reconsider investing in a cloud mining site or any online investing site for that matter. i have never seen a positive review about an investment done online with bitcoin. you shoud just store it and let the price of btc be your investment.
272  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you like to receive your salary in BTC? on: June 26, 2016, 12:53:36 AM
If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC?

Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. Smiley I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination.
honesty i wont, my salary is pretty important to me as it dictates my life pretty much, and i wouldnt like the risk of the bitcoin price volatility affecting my life. bitcoin is a great currency in the digital world and its fun and all. but i wouldnt convert all my future income into btc.
273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 49 days till the halving, time is flying now on: June 24, 2016, 10:45:20 PM
As of now, im mainly just looking forward to seeing what happens to the price of bitcoin when the halfing comes and what the miners do. if tons of miners leave, im interested to see what that brings for the btc price.  Tongue
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: $593 and still falling. Why? on: June 22, 2016, 11:39:39 PM
lol the volatilty of the bitcoin price isnt a scam  Lips sealed. its just bitcoin being bitcoin. if you chose to buy at the wrong time, its not a scam.
anyways i dont mind it tbh cuz i know its going back up near the halfing and this gives me a chance to buy more btc at low price.
275  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still have time to reach the 21 BTC goal? on: June 22, 2016, 11:35:57 PM
Everyone that knows what's up wants to reach that goal at all costs, but only 1 million people (in fact, now much less since coins keep getting lost + current owners) will be able to make it.

Will you be one of them? I think I can do it but the price needs to stop going up. I was happy that the rally stopped since it just means I have more time to reach this goal, but I have a feeling we will be on 800+ soon once whales are done with buying cheap BTC. If it goes that high I think I will not make it in time.
well the price is going down currently, so i plan on buying a bit. gonna wait for it to drop a little lower though. it seems pretty safe because around halfing time prices are going to go up for sure. personally i dont think ill reach 21 btc though, im currently aiming for 10.
276  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who controls the Bitcoins? on: June 22, 2016, 08:29:39 PM
well satoshi created bitcoin as a currency. but no one really controls it. btc come into the economy witht the help of the miners and they get a btc reward for mining a block.
277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to make money on bitcointalk? on: June 20, 2016, 08:47:48 PM
theres tons of opportunities on this forum to make some bitcoin. you can buy/sell stuff to make some profit. you can try and sell your skills and earn some profit that way, you can join an advertising campaign and get some btc for promoting something you love. and the last thing i can think of is you can trade bitcoin to get some margins.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does the bible say about Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2016, 08:42:02 PM
is it against the ten commandments to own bitcoin?
lol i doubt the ten commandments ever expected the world to have cryptocurrencies. just do what u feel is right. if you enjoy using bitcoin you shouldnt look for things that get in your way.
279  Other / Off-topic / Re: Two types of Bitcoiners, Which are you? on: June 18, 2016, 04:02:46 PM
Im the type of guy that says " i cant wait for bitcoin to be worth millions so ill be a millionaire in bitcoin".  Grin

I dont necessarily spend my btc that often, i only keep around 10% of my btc for spending use.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when we have mined all the BTC on: June 18, 2016, 02:27:21 PM
when all the btc has been mined. the miners will continue to make profit by confirming transactions. but they wont get a block reward, the money they earn would be from the transaction fees that users pay, which means that fees will likely increase in the future.
