I can tell you from my experience with R9 290X that the R9 280X has a better kHash/$ rating, and won't be as difficult to cool. Also, I highly recommend sgminer instead of cgminer. Sgminer has intensity settings above 20, and they work! I thought I was topped out, averaging 815 kHash/s on my 290Xs with a -I setting of 20, but 21 gives me that extra push off the cliff.  I can get 840khash/s per card now. Overall, the R9 290X is a great, if pricey piece of gear. However, it's so hard to keep cool that I would look more closely at the 280X. I think you need to have a play about with your settings. I can get 830 Khash out of my normal 290's at I-19 using cgminer 3.6.3 I don't want to push them to hard but I have had them up to 860 KHash If you check out the litecoin gpu miner comparison you should be getting well over 900 out of your 290x's |

user...maybe half o even more buys in last three days was hes
all this buy and sell.... and this one 15BTC buy order was from that account.
and now im wondering how its possible put 15BTC buy MTC order... later cancel
and after that withdraw only ~8 BTC leave empty BTC account.. ok, also withdraw ~800 MTC (but this not for 7BTC)
who can explain ?

Hold on people, no one's coins are gone, withdrawals are frozen. The fact that everyone saw the accounts of those two people was a blunder on my part, and I apologize profusely for that. It was something I did while I was investigating an issue with inconsistent balances, while withdrawals were frozen. It was not a bug in the software, and it will NEVER happen again.
I repeat, everyone's coins are perfectly safe. Withdrawals are still frozen, but they'll be up soon.

I started mining this coin with one of my servers (ubuntu) on ypool and soon found a block in less than 7 hours so I decided to try some solo mining.
With the xptminer I was getting 1500khash/sec and with the official miner I only get 958khash/sec so about 30% less.
Is this because the ypool miner is more optimized ? Bad optimization on my side ?

The ypool miner is faster than the normal wallet miner. I don't imagine that many people are solo mining now, so unless someone creates a gpu miner I doubt solo mining speeds will get any better. |

Ye I edited my post. I think the wallet had frozen. I got 3 orphans and the block was stuck just under 10000
Not much response from the dev on this thread just released the wallet and then went offline not long after.
I don't think he even responded to the people possibly mining on the wrong blockchain from earlier in the thread.
