Any ideas about a Qt client? Cant solo mine without one. Of if anyone has made software to solo (basically a homemade Qt) would you be willing to share?

:') is this scam or a bot because tried 10 times to get the cheapest one and the same "guy" gets it its impossible to get How do you know if it was the same guy? You can put your name or not (if you dont put a name, you will se like anonymous), but i you want to be fast and take a planet before the rest, just punt your address and enter fast de captcha... For Dev: is it possible to help the "poorer of us" get some action? Only been mining a few days and not yet reached the 50,000 EAC minimum! Maybe have some 2-5K range? Thanks

You sure EAC is a SHA256? I've been mining scrypt?!

4x R9 290x with windows 7 using wifi for Internet. cgminer and guiminer crash after 1-2 seconds. Cant even get running. Seems like driver issue. Running catalyst 13.11 and cgminer 3.7.2 (tried others versions). Wifi is ok yea?
Any ideas on what to do?

Hi all. Need some advice...cgminer crash.
Windows 7 Ultimate 4 R9 290x Catalyst Version 13.11 (Driver Packaging Version 3.25.18-131007a-163536E-Asus)
Trying to setup cgminer 3.9.0 or Guiminer both which crash in 1-2 seconds stating "cgminer has stopped working"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Use cgminer 3.5... I tried 3.5.1 and no luck..never even gets going. cgminer just kinda pops up and closes when I double click .bat file. My setting are: timeout /t 10 setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer --scrypt -I 19 --thread-concurrency 33792 -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -u JKLtCn.1 -p 123 Did you have to change drivers and which AMD Catalyst version do you use? Sounds like cgminer is having problems with R9 290 (flashed mine). What are the other options to get up and mining? Thanks

I am the lead dev of the fork of stratum used by the pools who the OP is claiming is cheating. Obigal the OP of smalltimeminer applied a patch to my fork of stratum to get the code used for coins like OSC/TEK/UNO and other SHA256 PoS Coins and made it work with scrypt coins with transaction messaging in order to fix the issue. Other pools have been using my fork and have followed the coin spec aka enabling sha256_tx(to be renamed still) to ensure that a tx message is enabled into the coin and therefore ensuring that a valid block is produced reducing these long rounds
Does this mean that SHA256 ASIC machines could mine these coins?

Coin-Pool is on and off all day...wondering if the OP is having issues? Maybe eating too much turkey?
btw - Marry Christmas!
We did pretty major upgrading, everything should be sorted and running now, we lost max. 5minutes, the time miners needed to reconnect to stratum after 2-3 restarts. Been fine for the past 8 hours or so. Keep up the good work and thanks!

178 Gh/s Freq OC to 375 Connected via WIFI
Pretty happy with this after all of the setup issues but...
Is this acceptable/common on these machines having 5 chips out of service?
no, its not. you should have all chips in operation always if possible. reboot the unit and see if that helps. otherwsie, check your PSU. at 375MHz you will need at least a 450W 12V rail, preferably 600W on a single 12V rail Must be the psu. Running an OCZ 550W +80 having two modular pci, one for each board. What if I have 800 two rail? Enough to OC to 400 MHz? Otherwise what brand is advisable for single rail that splits into 2 6pin pci? Thanks Corsair 1000 or 1200Gold or Platinum could be enough for 2 OC Antminer. I run 2x 200GH AntMiner on Seasonic X-series 1050W Gold and they take 830W from the wall. Very nice setup. Thanks. I'm now getting 202Gh with no 'x' on boards after reboot. Wall is 240V which may help. But all is good for now (except increasing difficulty)!

This is true if the price keeps falling. BTC could very well rebound to well beyond what it's valued today. As China pulls out, the US (and its Wall Street) and a number of other countries take its place (and China is only in movement towards further regulation now). Was it truly a bubble or will optimism prevail. Only time will tell.

Otherwise what brand is advisable for single rail that splits into 2 6pin pci? Thanks Personally, I have 1 machine running on a 600W Corsair, which claims 560W on a single 12V rail. It is happily operating a 400MHz antminer (from the second batch) and seems problem-free around 48/50 degrees, 2 fans and some paper overtop (the paper does help) using 1 4-pin ATX per board (wires are barely warm). That said, not all PSUs (or electronics in general) meet the specs. some can handle more then rated and some struggle to come close, even in the same brand or batch. Even if you have more than the required (~500W?) available on your 12V rail the PSU may not be capable of providing the limit 24/7. ALSO: make sure that if you have 2 or more rails each board has a seperate rail with enough amperage. I have a 730W PSU with roughly 325W available on 2 rails. 1 rail is used via the 2x4pin ATX cable, and the other via the PCI-e cable. Makes a lot of sense klondike-bar...you are a very kind man +1
