at this point it's so cheap I wont risk leaving a buy up and not getting any when I could just buy  Kiss

Does anyone who is fully synced have a good set of nodes? I can't sync past block 2.

Please tell me! https://exbito.com
This is a SCAM???

Not sure, we cannot vouch for any external service exchange. Please avoid using that exchange for now.

We just seen it has more volume than Bittrex which is odd.

Well actually, when you say this...

Quote
and we have new exchange for those interested in trading.

...you are vouching for that external service exchange.  Did you do even the simplest of tests before you vouched for them, like creating an account and sending funds to a wallet?  There is a great deal of difference between "we have" and "there is".  There is also a great deal of meaning in the words "due diligence".

Get real. He's not vouching for anything and you know that. Anyone who isn't an idiot knows that "we have an exchange" means that the coin is listed at an exchange. If you don't understand that, go back and repeat remedial colloquial English. Due diligence must be done by the person who uses the exchange, not the coin dev. If you lose your money at a scam exchange it's your own fault.

Here's some advice: only trade at established exchanges. Even then you are taking a risk.

Coin devs can't control exchange operators.

I hope that clears things up.

Price is doing very well.  Front Page of Bittrex will def bring some new investors.  Please retweet the below to help spread the word.

And how is BST doing? I see some hype in here and I don't like it tbh.

This is what you get. You have enthusiastic people and detractors. Normally they should balance and the world would be good. But the tendency is to polarize where the detractors try to amplify their message to exceed the hypers and vice versa.

At some point the detractors get unbearable, having exclusively a negative message. They usually resort to insulting everyone who supports the coin and so the only reasonable thing is to stop the insults. The dev switches to a moderated thread and only the hypers have a voice. To get a sense of this, look at the previous coven thread and see who resorted to big red letters first. It was the detractors.

I blame the detractors (trolls) myself. Detractors have no interest in a coin. In fact, they want to see it fail to prove themselves correct. Therefore, detractors, not being unbiased critics, are essentially invasive and don't belong. If they could keep themselves under control (no big red letters, no insults), this wouldn't happen and we could have balanced discussions.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BRO] Coin Sale 1st phase ended | PoB | Poker Celebrities | Fantasy Sports on: April 20, 2015, 05:30:33 AM
I will be buying at 1320 BRO / BTC, providing we can get the BRO team to transfer ownership to my private key.

Are you serious? You will proabably be able to buy every single BRO coin out there at that price.

You must be pretty confident the BRO team will not be able to transfer the ownership I guess  Wink.

Just a typo, he obviously wanted to say 13.200

This project is going nowhere anyway. It's 100% clear already that they are in for the money. They don't even bother to post in the thread. It's impossible to be that busy, it's a 5 minute job to come and say something. Even abandoning the freaking website breakoutcoin.com ?

You can't beat this level of laziness.

I just noticed Breakoutcoin.com down too...

It looks like someone is starting to conceal the evidence. Investors better start taking screenshots of everything !

What do we know about these Devs so far?

You might be looking in the wrong place. Try this: http://breakoutgaming.com/

Yeah, that was a typo, 13,200 BRO/BTC, 2x the best rate of the ICO.

It has been brought to our attention that POS has started earlier than was originally intended. We are currently investigating the issue and will either prepare a fix or we will continue and just increase the coin amount. We deeply apologise for the confusion and we will post more details as soon as we have decided what course to take. Let me make clear though, we will not be relaunching so keep mining!

Don't mess with staking. If it isn't broke don't fix it. In the long run, you will regret forking your coin if you don't have to.

Nothing pisses off miners and investors more than devs increasing the coin supply. In the old days this was a favorite self-destructive passtime that coin devs participated in.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COV] Coven Coin [SHA256] [POW] [POS] [Ninja] on: April 19, 2015, 06:21:54 PM
Has minerpools updated the source yet?
No, and they need to. Someone contact them. I can't reach them. But they need to update now.

Your staked block will be rejected until minerpools updates their source. (It makes pos effective)

I can't thank you enough for updating the ANN after I mined a ton of this.  Smiley
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COV] Coven Coin [SHA256] [POW] [POS] [Ninja] on: April 19, 2015, 07:28:25 AM

I was mining on both minerpools and suchpools, but my suchpools COV has not matured. I've already gotten a payout from minerpools, but I started mining on suchpools an hour earlier.
Huh

need more information .dev~ Wink

It looks like you will need to wait until the end of PoW. That's what it says in the ANN.

[edit]

It is a free logo, so it's legit to use.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Neutron SHA-256 LIVE! on: April 19, 2015, 06:38:59 AM
I think cov and neutron have one dev. Because both have been added in https://www.coingather.com exchange for first step. What do you think about this?

I'm mining both, but that wasn't classy on your part at all.

I thought it was funny. Less classy would be to ignore the thread.

Dev, can you come up with a logo ? I got an empty square on my pool to fill in Tongue

I'm sure there is a coin logo in there somewhere.

[edit]

No copyright infringements. You saw how well that went with Unreal coin.

Just some humor.

The number of BRO per BTC may fluctuate depending on the progress of breakout coin.

I'll sell you mine at 1320 BRO / BTC

If you can get the BRO team to transfer ownership to my key, you have a deal. I'll see if I can get in touch with them through other channels.

GIZMOcoin block explorer added. OP updated.

GIZMOcoin development roadmap "GIZMO's GREAT ESCAPE" will be up later today  Tongue

So what's the "Great Escape"...?  Starting to wonder if that's the part where the market gets dumped and the Dev peaces out...

Dev show some signs this is still alive with a road map...

they mean dev's great escape with all the money Wink

The cryptoid block explorer costs more than they would have made dumping the premine and half the signature giveaway.

If they escaped, they escaped with enough money to pay cab fare and not much extra.

Im trying to find min stake time, usually found on OP. I dont see it. Also scanned many pages through the thread. Anyone know what min stake time is?

Vegas

Code:
$ grep nStakeMinAge main.cpp
unsigned int nStakeMinAge = 8 * 60 * 60; // 8 hour

If you have big transactions, don't stake your coins until after midnight Eastern time. The devs fixed an overflow error I found but it doesn't go into effect until midnight.
