I have been buying 125K XMG so far, I will buy more. AMD's new cpu Rayzen will ignite CPU coins, XMG for sure. Soon we will see 1M market cap. it's not impossible goal. My concern is marketing. OP has out-of-date informations such as link of dead exchange, Cryptsy, etc. There will be altcoin supercycle after end of long BTC rally. Let's prepare.

Coins in wallet should be split into 15000 around size. When I have one chunk of 60K, soon I lost weight and couldn't stake at all. After I sent 15K to myself with coin control option. All my 60K splitted into 4 chunks of 15K pile. Finally staking started.

Paycoin is the biggest altcoin scam in the world so far, we need to eliminate this shit, never and ever buy again. It and URO were the most notorious scams in the altcoin history.
Well hey if all the scammy bastards related to the project don't have their hands involved anymore it's just an innocent abused blockchain Right, team behind XPY already moved to IONOMY, they gathered XPY, swapped it into their new coin ION and burned over 6M XPY. Now paycoin is just deserted.

The original post in this thread says 25 million and coinmarketcap.com says 6.6 million. I'm just looking for an overall total count just so I can look at the market and make an investment decision. Thanks!
Coingecko also says: Magi (XMG) has current circulating supply of 6.61 Million. The 25 million will be the total coins what can be reached in lots of mining years. Hope my answer is correct. Otherwise dev will give you a better (englisch) answer. Yup, 6.61 M is correct. https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/

stakesplitthreshold and stakecombinethreshold, are they unique feature of Magi coin? I've never seen before but it's really awesome! If so, dev of this coin is genius.

Rooooooaaad Maaaaaap!!!

I'm quite new to this coin, so my opinion is likely to be people of outside.
To promote this coin, there are required some roadmap including infographs and whitepaper.
I see potential of this coin, its pearl in the mud.

You know, I'm OK with this. The XPY scam was heinous and Garza is a terrible person whom I hope karma continues to shit all over. But I like that the blockchain somehow survives, including being on a few exchanges. Nice little posterity post OP.
As you konw Paycoin Foundation dropped support for Paycoin, but there is no dev team. If any team relaunch this coin, it will bring this coin back.

I'm also a bagholder of this coin and I really love to watch this coin revive.

Hey guys....silly question. Is POS still functioning? Minimal amount needed or anything? Asking as haven't seen my wallet stake in some time. On the new release, 1.3.0.0.
Thanks!
In my case, the coins should be splitted into 15K under size for staking.
|
|
|
BTW, Should I split a pile of coins into 15000 or lower size? one is 30K-3900 confirmed, the other is 32K-2900 confirmed.
my tests showed 15k is like the biggest coin pile that is able to stake that tests are many months ago so by increase total coins maybe its higher now but sure not 32k Splitting coins into 4 piles around 15K made staking icon turn green and gaining weight. Thanks for your advice.

Sure, I unlocked for staking. The message I've got is 'Not staking because you don't have enough weight" My network weight was 20 when I first put my coins into my local wallet. message said that it will take 40 days for staking. The next day weight was dropped to 1, message told me that 780 days for staking. and soon after.. message changed into "'Not staking because you don't have enough weight" minting icoin was dimmed.
I'm quite new to Magi coin but I've been for 3 years in Crypto world. I alway open wallet and unlock for staking.
Did you try using coin control to send the coins back to yourself - I usually do that to blocks that have 20k or more confirmations - in theory the settings in the magi.conf should do that for you - but I find the odd block doesn't make it for some reason (maybe its due to the number of coins you have - cryptonits settings will likely be the best for you). Might also be worth checking your block height against the network and the total weight - you could also be on a fork I split my coins into 4 15K around size. Cross my fingers and wait. Thanks guys.

@sylph93:
stakesplitthreshold=1000 stakecombinethreshold=2500 addnode=104.128.225.215 addnode=104.131.42.100
-------------------------------------------------------
split ur coins in transaction of size 15000 or lower and then keep the wallet run 24/7 the above conf will make sure that a big stakeholder stake his coins asap
people who hold less coins can leave split/combine at the default setting
the way XMG work if u have to big coin pile or wallet o long offline (a few days is already to long) i have to repeat the proccess or u wont be able to stake
the trick XMG use is easy with to much coin age or coinweight the chance to stake and the rewards reduce back to impossible to stake without move coins by urself
it rewards 24/7 wallets it helps in many POS security flaws around many very old coin piles all that possible attacks cant be made against XMG
BTW, Should I split a pile of coins into 15000 or lower size? one is 30K-3900 confirmed, the other is 32K-2900 confirmed. I still get a message "Not staking because .. ' now. I can wait until the staking begin, if there isn't wrong with my wallet condition. Did you unluck the wallet? Wallet will give you the option: unlock for staking only Sure, I unlocked for staking. @th3.r00t, @cryptonit Thanks for support. I will open wallet 24/7 as I've done for other PoS coins like SLR, IOC.. etc. I'm very happy to be a member of Magi community.

Hi, I bought 62K XMG yesterday. I compile wallet from github source by myself for my Ubuntu staking machine. I ran it for Solarcoin, IOcoin for 2 years. When I first open wallet for staking, my weight was 20 and wallet said that it will take 20 days for staking. Today, I found that staking was off due to lack of my weight. "Not staking because you don't have enough weight" - message. If anyone have working magi.conf for smooth staking, plz up.

I was told NO. Someone is probably just prejudice against the USA cuz we elected Trump. Trump is going to make SolarCoin great again!!! Actually, I own 20-30 alts and have never heard of SLR until I read the Quartz article... That's amazing because it's such a great, real world application of blockchain and cryptocurrency... tied in with 100,000 physical meters. http://qz.com/843404/smappees-solarcoin-scheme-firms-are-testing-blockchain-tech-with-energy-generation/The wallet 2.1.8 wallet downloaded the chain and is working perfectly... I'm definitely on board. Welcome to the real world!
