Seeing your avatar of Peter I couldn't imagine you running any marathon ever, unless it's with a car.

Bitcoin has so many uses it is scary and more seem to be coming on the scene all the time.  Let's say I have someone I want to send money to across the planet all I need is the wallet address and the funds are on the way and the transaction can be confirmed quickly.  I can purchase anything that comes to mind if the person chosses to accept Bitcoins for said item.  If the fiat currency I have in my bank account or pocket is being devalued smart people will look for another way to store there wealth and Bitcoin will be a viable option which will make the value of Bitcoin go up and make holder of Bitcoin profit.

Bitcoin is a way for the indiviual to take the wealth in their own hands and not depend on the banking system or anybody else to have access to their funds so in a sense it is financial freedom.

Yes. I kind of forgot about the benefits of Bitcoins, just wish it wasn't so volatile.

It's really mostly for speculation at the moment. But if the economy crashes, then it can be a good way to hold value.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: I created MyAltCoins to track all your cryptocurrency assets on: February 23, 2014, 04:44:08 AM
The idea sounds pretty awesome. There are so many coins out there and it's hard to keep track if you've invested in many.
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: a Study is saying that Gold coin will be worth 1,000$ per coin on: February 23, 2014, 04:37:14 AM
Seems legit. Where can I purchase these gold coins? They are made of real gold right?
269  Economy / Economics / Re: Why so impossible to Purchase BTC anymore? on: February 23, 2014, 04:30:29 AM
Maybe in the future through a Bitcoin ATM.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: How Cryptocurrencies are affecting developing countries on: February 23, 2014, 04:20:27 AM
It is a big worry because who knows what kind of schemes they might cook up to destroy it.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese people are crazy to buy NET, netcoin. They think NET is the third coin. on: February 23, 2014, 04:12:27 AM
Seems like an agenda thread. Netcoin is coin is not number three, Dogecoin is, and in the future it looks like Nem will be number three.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will plummet to $10 by first half of 2014 on: February 09, 2014, 11:39:43 AM
I would buy so many, even if the price doesn't go back up.
