Australia played very well in their first innings. Hazlewood and Starc bowled brilliantly. Hazlewood managed to pick up 5 important wickets. But the Australian bowlers are not able to do well in the second innings. If the Australian bowlers are not able to bowl well at the beginning of the next day, then there is a big chance of losing this match. If the target is 200+, it will be difficult for Australia to win.

All it takes just one bad session for the batting side to bundle up, looks good to see some fight back from the Kiwis at finally still anything is possible and tomorrow morning play will be crucial and Kiwis has to play as deep as they can to reduce the deficit to zero cause they are still trail by 40 even after this long fought battle.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 09, 2024, 03:46:07 PM

Yeah and tbh they lost this series on very good pitches, these pitches were the same as pre 2018 era and nowhere close to the usual Rank Turner or Dustbawl.

Well, to be fair to them. Not many English batters have a good defense against spin, barring Root. This is like the 3rd-4th Indian tour for Bairstow/ Stokes, these guys spend 3 months in the IPL every now n then but still look like a walking wicket against spin.

English men always had issues against wrist spinners but this unit more experienced than Indian batting line-up didn't show any sign of fight back at all and you said it right this is not happened in usual rank turners so the English players can't hide under that for poor batting performance. I still like the bazball but as I said they have to adapt to the condition and apply that batting style instead of going all guns blazing.

India squared their win loss ratio of all time with this match. And they are having the most winning ratio in the last 10 years and in second place Australia.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 09, 2024, 09:09:13 AM
From now on, They will think twice about using the term "BAZBALL".

If I am not wrong, this is the first loss for them since they started playing bazball. And the attacking form of test cricket is good but they are trying to hit every ball which is why they failed, they have to strategize better if they want to win in subcontinent and have to make adjustments when to attack and when to go defensive.

Another win that made the no.1 position more comfortable for India in WTC table.

Things are moving quickly here ladies.

First Jimmy reached a ridiculous milestone of 700 wickets as a seamer, a mighty big achievement and I dare to say the last seamer or probably the last test bowler to achieve this feat. Only Ashwin and Lyon can have a sniff if they manage to extend their career.

Ashwin the new ball specialist, just doing his thing and back to business.

Looks like ENG is playing hopeless and can't control the wickets falling.

Joe Root back to his pre Bazball style of batting and that is provided some partnership for now but it looks like the innings might over before the day or even possibly the match could over by the end of today's play.

Ash added another 5-fer under his name.

Devdutt Padikkal got his first international 50. I thought after tea both Khan and him will continue till the end. Unfortunately both got out and India has now lost 5 wickets. Jurel and Jadeja are playing now the lead is still within 200 runs. England spinner Bashir has been having a good series against India. This time again he has taken 3 wickets on a pitch that is good for batters.

Well the variation in the bounce help here and there so what they have to do is bowl consistently on certain areas which English spinners can't able to do throughout the series and give one or two freebies every over. Test cricket can be agressive too and today our batsmen showed the visitors about how to play and construct innings instead of just hitting the every balls.

Tomorrow the ball may break so will get tough to bat on, India already posted over 200 runs as lead and tail enders are contributing beyond their expectations.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2024, 01:34:55 PM

Again, when the tail starts wagging in test cricket, it's genuinely a treat to watch for the batting side and an extremely frustrating period for the bowling unit.

Kudos to the Kuldeep-Bumrah duo for stitching a valuable partnership. The scorecard and lead are looking good now.

Especially kuldeep and how he evolved his batting style like top order grinder, he always known for hanging around with a batter in the other end but in this series he took that to next level and really frustrated the opposition by facing more balls than half of their batting unit.

India already got enough runs as lead to go for an innings defeat.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2024, 10:17:26 AM
Padikkal and Sarfaraz both made fifty and got out and after tea break. Padikkal got couple edges and got lucky but Sarfaraz Khan played good, I liked his straight lofted drive and upper cut, now names might not be correct but you know which shots I'm talking about.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for Anderson to complete his 700th wicket, it's been good while now, don't you think? Also i have observed that he's not been as destructive in other tests as he was in 2nd.

Indian batting unit has the complete freedom to go with what they really wanted to and the lead is over 200 so there has to be some miracle of India has to lose this match from this situation.

I expected Stokes to bowl but getting a wicket of centurion in the very first ball he bowled in years is interesting. And he almost picked another one too in the next over.

At this moment 8 wickets down and so far spinners are taking the wickets, Jimmy may aim the tailenders to reach the milestone especially Siraj can be a good candidate.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2024, 05:46:35 AM
Poms are unable to take any wickets at all. The second wicket partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill has added 122 runs till now. Pacers have been disappointing so far, both James Anderson and Mark Wood. The second one has gone for more than 6 runs per over till now. But still I am quite surprised to see the England captain under-utilizing Anderson. Shoaib Bashir has bowled 18 overs till now, while Anderson has got only 7 so far. BTW, New Zealand have taken two quick wickets at Christchurch, and both of them went to Matt Henry.

Anderson didn't get much assistance and this isn't new ball so considering who picked up all the 10 wickets in the first innings is spinners so Stokes expecting the same from their spinners too.

Now both batsmen are in their 90s and probably a wicket may arrive in the nervous 90s but so far both of them were looking very comfortable with every bowlers and I am keen whether Stokes himself get himself into the play.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 08, 2024, 05:11:13 AM
India is actually playing better bazball than England does or atleast in the final session with run rate over 5.

All Indians wanted Jaiswal to score a hundred this time. He was in great form but sadly he got stumped out. I hope Rohit Sharma completes his another century this time. He is already in great form and have crossed 50 runs, so if this form is carried today also, then definitely he can score a hundred. By the end of today’s innings, we can easily estimate who will win the test match. India did extremely well after the first match to be honest.
Jaiswal already in the top run scorer because of two big tons already and fifties too and probably he couldn't get past 50s 2 times in the entire series if I am not wrong and he scored 700+ runs in the 9 innings while the second most run scorer is just sitting over 400 that tells that he already made enough contribution and probably sealed the opening slot in test format for this WTC cycle.

Indian batting looks non stop with the run scoring again today morning as well and Hitman really deserves a ton.
270  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: March 07, 2024, 09:13:45 PM
Team India did exactly what they are capable of and it's done in a venue where more assistance for seamers and conditions similar to England and not just this venue but every venue was fair and gave equal opportunity for both the teams and one who actually performed crossed the line. India started with bang in their batting too and England might be approaching a huge lead and what I admired is how Kuldeep increased his fielding skills too in this series. Cheesy
271  Local / India / Re: Any P2P trading platforms that are active? on: March 07, 2024, 07:43:56 PM
Need trusted OGs from here to act as escrow....But i don't think it will be as efficient as what other platforms like noones and binance are offering.

Using escrows from forum is not going to be cheap, I didn't check their recent commission rates but as far as I know they can go as high upto 5% of the traded value as escrow fee and this is really big value for INR trades so just better trade where they are having the escrow like Noones or Paxful but remember to trade here you need to verify KYC first.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 07, 2024, 05:57:24 PM
England messed up for like the umpteenth time while Barmy army are focusing more on the beautiful vistas of Dharamshala than their team which itself says a lot if you think about it.

Jaiswal's consistency in the test format these days is truly extraordinary. Am expecting the Indians to end up giving a lead of around 100 or more.
Madlad is scoring runs for fun, it's looks like a belter so would've been great if he had stayed there for a long haul with another daddy 100. Guess he'll grab the Man of the Series award.

...and he threw away his wicket for fun too, honestly I didn't find delivery any good, it rather seemed like a lapse in judgement on Jaiswal's part, possibly misjudged due to wanting to hit every ball.

Bashir's aggression was unwarranted as there was nothing impressive in the delivery but ok wicket is wicket  Grin

This is not an unusual thing though in cricket but he took a wicket somehow so celebrated as much as he can. I just want to talk about the quality of Indian bowlers which is not getting enough praise as they deserve. I would say Indian bowlers made the Englishmen is playing ordinary cricket so far with their performances and Kuldeep again bowled really well and proved his quality, remember this is where he made his debut and got Man of the match as well.

India is actually playing better bazball than England does or atleast in the final session with run rate over 5.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 07, 2024, 06:19:12 AM
Notorious Indian management manufactures Grin another injury, just to drop Patidar lol. Could be a genuine injury but the management's record is not great in this regard, hence the doubt.

Atm this deck looks like a fine road to me. Can we expect big score in the first inning, very much possible IMO.

England openers were so lucky to get past so many outside edges from Indian pacers in the first one hour period then the spin came into the attack and Pope gifted his wicket before the Lunch. Still England played decent enough and post lunch will be good to score runs which means the first innings score is going to be huge unless they starts gifting wickets like Pope did.

As expected two changes but Rohit mentioned Patidar unfortunately got injured yesterday at the time of toss is kind of hilarious because as well all know he didn't prove with performance in all the 6 innings so they could be bold enough to state that he is not in the good form.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 06, 2024, 08:26:58 PM

Did you even watch the recent India-England tests? None of them were one-sided so far thanks to twists and turns on a regular basis which entertained a lot of viewers across the world.

For example, everyone thought India would win the first test, but England literally pulled off a heist. Am not expecting the final test to be one-sided for these reasons.
The first match was competitive, the scorecard suggests that (28 runs winning margin).

But 2nd and 3rd matches were competitive in patches only and the winning margins were 106 and freaking 435 runs (their biggest defeat in 100 years). It was a similar story for the 4th test match, Poms had their moment but failed to strengthen their positions when the Indians were down.

Overall competitive series and at times they raised the bar by putting tremendous pressure but now we have enough data that BAZBALL can't sustain for long against top teams like Australia and India, especially in the 5-test match series. IMO BGT 2017 was better.

This series is more entertaining that's for sure but the results are much expected that India will win because they have been dominating every bilateral series for the last 10 years.

ENG gave fights but they didn't play sensibly enough to win matches or else they could made the results into more favor of them but making test format entertaining seems to be the primary goal of ENG that is superb for the future of test format cause its already dying and very few nations are concentrating to keep it alive.
275  Local / India / Re: New ATH | BTCINR | Still a long way to go on: March 06, 2024, 06:46:26 PM
In Paxful I saw offers above 60 lakhs as well but didn't see the current price cause yesterday there was sudden dump then price back to normal. Ofcourse this is just the beginning of the bull run and the new ATH will be atleast double the amount of previous ATH so let's assume 120K will be the new ATH in dollars then in INR it will be over 1 crore.

What am feeling now, little bit of regret why I didn't stake early when Bitcoin was less than 3 lakhs. Smiley

I don't understand why BCCI takes so much time in announcing the names of player who will be probably the playing eleven. Tomorrow is the match and still they haven't announced the team. Just before the game starts they will come up with a decision. England has announced that they will be retaining the old squad except Ollie Robinson as he is being replaced by Wood.

India go by the traditional way, there is no need to announce playing XI to be honest and if ENG does means they just want to exite audiences but India will pick the XI based on the pitch condition that we can only find before the match begins so captian and team management will assess the condition and pick right players like whether two seam attack or the pitch is hard enough for three pace attack, etc.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 03, 2024, 08:15:32 PM
Just saw this on Twitter, people criticizing BCCI because Ranji semifinal is being played in some random ground In Mumbai, although it looks great, but BCCI can to do better.

https://twitter.com/BCCIdomestic/status/1763771503399870602

I also find that bit funny when Sai Kishore is asked about why he decided to bat first, did he look at pitch and he replies with yea but didn't understand it lol
Vidharba playing on familiar territory so the skipper Sai Kishore and support staff could've done a better job of reading the pitch. I can understand Tamil Nadu's confusion because it's a away game for them but not for Vidharba.

Pitches are spicy and batters need patience to survive so no complaints from my side. Only following TN vs MUM because wanted to see Iyer but missed it, now will wait for the day 2 highlight package.

TN vs MUM is getting spicier and to be honest Mumbai added over 200 runs as lead that too scored by 8th, 9th and 10th wicket pair from 106/7 to 353/9, Lord played like God in this inning. Wink

TN was looking good in this season but their hope of winning Ranji after 35 years is getting thinner, any anti climax or MUM is going to the one.
278  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: March 03, 2024, 06:17:51 PM
I doubt there will be any changes made in the team. They will go ahead with the same team and might give Bhumrah a rest in the final test. Akash Deep bowled well in the last test match he should get another opportunity in the final test. I don't see any need for the management to make any changes as the current team is in full form to book another win in the final test match in the series.

I doubt it as I think they as in the management will rest all the seniors and experiment with the new guys. The last test is where the new guys can be tested and some of them will become either bowlers we need or batters. We have already seen how good Jurel is behind the stumps, he has been accurate enough to use DRS and has been a good batter. I have a notion similar to the legendary Sunil Gavaskar that he might be the next Dhoni in the making. As he does what Dhoni did when he started his career as a WC. It is high time for the Indian team to get a wicket-keeper who can bat and take productive decisions.

Jurel is actually a destructive batter but he controlled his natural action and try to adapt to the playing situation in all the innings he played so far. He is good for the future but still a long way to even consider for someone like Dhoni. Smiley

Bumrah will play and Siraj is going to be rested that's the most latest news regarding the playing XI and the only one spot is uncertain which is Patidar will be given one more chance or he got enough and failed to prove so swap him with Padikkal.
279  Local / India / Re: [Coming UP]IPL-2024 Prediction Contest Sponsored by webtricks! on: March 03, 2024, 04:58:11 PM
The contest starts on the 23rd of March and the rules and regulations will be posted here before the date.

Waiting for the rules to be posted and also make it clear whether it's one time predictions contest or you're planning to give points for picking right names like MoM, most wicket taker, winning team, etc.

This is interesting. So this must be restricted to the Indian board people only I guess.
But we should think of ways to add more marketing to it so that more people can know about this.
As many of Indian people on this forum don't visit this board often we should try something so that they can get to know about this.
Yep, should be for only Indian members or atleast that's what I can read at the end of first post.

Do you think we have any ideas to reach more Indian people to participate in this contest?

I am thinking of every active member can wear personal message saying "IPL contest on Indian board - win xBTC".

Do you guys think it will work?

As expected, NZ lost the match and the domination by Aussies over NZ in their home land continues. NZ should have played Santner on pitch like this and even Lyon mentioned that he is surprised to not see Santner when a part time bowler Glenn Phillips got 5fer for them. NZ should play the right combination of they really want to rewrite the history and should avoid run outs which is the most terrible thing to witness in test matches and that too when the core player in the batting unit has to walk back with such kind of dismissal.
