Batting failure of the New Zealand team in the second test match of New Zealand vs Australia. The New Zealand batsmen did not bat that well against Australia. In the second test, the New Zealand team was bowled out for only 165 runs. If you want to win the test match against Australia, New Zealand batsmen and bowlers must perform responsibly, otherwise they can never win the test match against Australia. Because of the batting failure of the New Zealand batsmen in the second test match, they are going to lose the second test match against Australia. Australia's bowlers bowled very well in the second test match as the Australian bolar  out a strong team like New Zealand for just 162 runs. Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood bowled very well. Mitchell Starc took three wickets and Josh Hazlewood took five important wickets for New Zealand. Today's game as the New Zealand batsmen could not bat responsibly so the bowlers should bowl aggressively against Australia from the start otherwise Australia team will give New Zealand a big run lead.

All Indians wanted Jaiswal to score a hundred this time. He was in great form but sadly he got stumped out. I hope Rohit Sharma completes his another century this time. He is already in great form and have crossed 50 runs, so if this form is carried today also, then definitely he can score a hundred. By the end of today’s innings, we can easily estimate who will win the test match. India did extremely well after the first match to be honest.

New Zealand got steamrolled by the Australian pacers. They could make just 162 in their first innings, and it could have been far worse. At one point, they were 107/8. Then the 9th wicket partnership between Matt Henry and Tim Southee added some valuable runs to take them to a somewhat respectable total. Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc shared 8 wickets between them, as they utilized the pace-friendly conditions at the Hagley Oval. In return, Australia are also struggling as they have lost both the openers.

New Zealand's batsmen cannot survive at the crease in front of Starc and Hazlewood. I didn't expect much from New Zealand in this match. We saw New Zealand's bad batting in the first match. In the previous match, the New Zealand team scored 179 runs in the first innings and only 196 runs in the second innings. Batsmen are in very bad form. They continued such bad batting in today's match as well. New Zealand's innings ended with just 162 runs.



Mitchell Starc took 3 wickets and Hazlewood 5 wickets today. Besides, Pat Cummins and Cameron Green picked up one wicket each.

Scoring 162 runs is an easy task. I guess Australia will collect atleast 220+ in the first innings. As the pitch is not batting friendly, scoring big is difficult on this pitch. Like New Zealand, the Australian team lost the wickets of two openers quite quickly. Smith is out for 18 runs and Usman Khawaja is out for 32 runs.

After Tom Blundell got out I thought New Zealand's score would be between 120-130 runs. Matt Henry and Southee added 55 runs in the ninth wicket partnership to take their score to 162. Australia are now batting in the first innings, their score is 56/1, New Zealand will bowl more 24 overs today. Australia is still 106 runs behind, Cameron Green & Marnus Labuschagne can survive today's overs, I hope Australia will take a big lead tomorrow.

Australian batsmen looking quite comfortable out there, and they have reached 66/2 without much effort. Cameron Green and Marnus Labuschagne are at the crease. The former is in exceptional form recently, while the latter is at the risk of getting kicked out from the test team. When Usman Khawaja got out to Matt Henry, they were at 32/2. And from there the Australians have made a good recovery, thanks to Labuschagne and Green. First task for New Zealand would be to avoid an innings defeat. For that they need to restrict Australia to <300.

Jaiswal already in the top run scorer because of two big tons already and fifties too and probably he couldn't get past 50s 2 times in the entire series if I am not wrong and he scored 700+ runs in the 9 innings while the second most run scorer is just sitting over 400 that tells that he already made enough contribution and probably sealed the opening slot in test format for this WTC cycle.

Indian batting looks non stop with the run scoring again today morning as well and Hitman really deserves a ton.

The way Jaiswal cunted him yesterday and showed virtually no respect for his bowling, so it was an obvious human reaction from Bashir, i don't mind such a response from bowlers but tbh that particular delivery wasn't any special and Jaiswal was probably high on adrenaline and threw it away another ton.

New Zealand vs Australia 2nd Test Match Australia bowled very well and New Zealand was bowled out for just 162 runs due to their excellent bowling. Australia batsmen are under a lot of pressure after losing wickets at the beginning of the lead of 162 runs given by New Zealand. New Zealand team had their batting failure in the second test match but the New Zealand bowlers are bowling brilliantly. If the bowlers of the New Zealand team can bowl controlled and if they can bowl Australia out in just 250 runs then maybe if New Zealand runs well the match can be good for New Zealand. Matt Henry of New Zealand bowled very well and took three important wickets of Australia. Australia team's current score is 107 runs with four wickets in 38 overs.

Poms are unable to take any wickets at all. The second wicket partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill has added 122 runs till now. Pacers have been disappointing so far, both James Anderson and Mark Wood. The second one has gone for more than 6 runs per over till now. But still I am quite surprised to see the England captain under-utilizing Anderson. Shoaib Bashir has bowled 18 overs till now, while Anderson has got only 7 so far. BTW, New Zealand have taken two quick wickets at Christchurch, and both of them went to Matt Henry.

In the last match we expected to see a better performance from England. But in today's match also we see very bad performance of England. Even compared to the previous matches, England's performance today is worse.

England lost 10 wickets and collected only 218 runs. On the other hand, the Indian team has lost only one wicket, and now the team has accumulated 261 runs. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill both scored centuries. Jaiswal also collected 57 runs. We saw the dominance of the Indian spin bowlers. But England's spin bowlers are not doing well. Each of England's four bowlers performed poorly. Looking at the state of the match now, it looks like India will still declare the innings with a lead of 300+ runs. England team will be defeated by innings.

Indian spinners have done good job in first innings and English spinners are struggling to get wicket in first innings. India now have lead of 53 runs and they have lost just wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill both are now centurion. There are only two spinners in England squad, Tom Hartley and Shoaib Bashir while India destroyed English batting lineup with 3 spinners. There is not much hope for England to survive this test.

India's batting line-up has been very good but both Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma have already been dismissed after completing centuries. Shubman Gill was out for 110 runs and Rohit Sharma was out for 103 runs. India have collected 295 runs for 3 wickets so far. India has given a lead of 77 runs so far. With Sarfaraz Khan and Devdutt Padikkal at the crease, they both need to form a huge partnership to increase the lead. If India can give 250+ lead then they can win by innings margin. Let's see how many runs India can score.

Ben Stokes picking up the ball was a bit of a surprise package for Rohit and we have seen countless times that after break batters need to concentrate again, that's a good time to pick a wicket and the ball did just enough to take the top of the timber.

Jimmy just did his usual thing and the ball reversed for once, Gill's lack of footwork didn't help his cause either.

After Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill took their team to a strong position after both of them got out now Padikal and Sarfraz Khan are batting well for Indian team. Cricketer Sarfraz Khan who recently made his Test debut for India completed the second half-century of his Test career. The Indian team scored 386 runs for three wickets in their first innings which means they are ahead of England by 158 runs. We thought maybe England would play well in the last Test match but they might lose the fifth Test against India too it shows in their performance.

I liked the approach of Sarfaraz Khan reminds me of Panth. Devdutt Padikkal's debut game and he is going to get his first 50 in international cricket. Except for a few debutants, all these newcomers have been very good with their performance as a batter and as a bowler. This series saw so many new players debuting in test cricket which is not common with other teams. The amount of talent depth that BCCI has in its kitty does not surprise me as there are still new faces that can be introduced by BCCI in the next series. India is going good and is on the right path to get a good lead for the opposition of batters.
