261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | on: April 05, 2014, 08:26:31 AM
did i get declined? : )
somebody or you applied with two different wallets, the one in form and the one in post (FB) was not same! Furthermore url of comment's permalink was wrongly entered i had to dig all facebook posts and find out your very wrong wallet!! You responsible to write correctly filling forms. If you do not care us put there wrong data and put me in confusion  why i care and send 1 m comm? There are many successful applications and people enough care about form. This is a future sign.

We are all human beings.  We may all make mistakes.  But you need give them chance to correct.

We never can check our application forms as soon as submitting them.
We don't know if we make mistakes or not.
We don't know which reason we get rejected.

Please tell me the reason I got rejected. Thank you dev.

You are old blacklist probably applied two places before the form happened. We thought you did not even read the OP and asking from us 1m COMM. I can give those who believes in US and producing useful things for COMM. I'll accept this as a good sign and give you the second chance. I believe everyone deserve it. I need and try to see who is real fighter who is not. What a pity i never planned i have to put this much effort of delivery, It was very simple but cheaters made us slow and forced errs!

Hi, could someone give me a quick rundown on how to solo mine this coin? I have solo mined with another coin before, but im not sure if it is different somehow. This is the communitycoin.conf I am using. Thanks in advance!

Code:
rpcuser=solo
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=192.168.0.2
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

daemon=1
server=1
listen=1

rpcport=9050
There is no mining here we are Full PoS with recent mandotary update we completely removed PoW from the codes.

Now because you used application form wrongly i no more spend time on you until we come to 400-500. I plan to give a second change later in the delivery. Especially for those before application form!

Sad to see the main thread locked, just as I was about to apply. But I see from the responses in this thread it's okay to post here?

Well I'm not sure on what reasons you're looking for so all I can say is that although relatively new to the altcoin community I've already seen a fair share of coins comes and go, seemingly overnight but the ones that seem to survive longest so far (launched since I joined) are ones that focus on fairness and community, which of course seems the main point of this coin's mission so I'd like in.

I missed the boat on some and didn't like some aspect of others but this seems a great candidate for the ultimate community backed coin.

On me, I'd like to think I'm not a spammy poster and more often than not post something with content so hopefully I can help maintain a good S/N ratio.

Thanks for the consideration.
enjoy your application accepted.
there were 3 fakes and 1 real application which is you. At recent 4.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What happened with CommunityCoin thread? on: April 05, 2014, 04:39:16 AM
I'd like to apply and be involved with this coin. Will posting here count since the main thread is locked?
Yes of cource you can place your reason to apply here, and fill rest of forms we're still continuing delivery.

Regarding the matter, posted here an update:

http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/dailymodo-report-locked-thread-bitcointalk-1569/#post7422

Anyway,  whatever the reason the thread got locked is,  we must learn that the slow and strict distribution may hurt this nice coin deeply.  Longer the distribution lasts, More uncertainties we may have.
Dev, plz, speed up.  We have other options:

1. set a deadline.
2. change the amount of stakeholders. for instance, reduce the amount from 1000 to 500. Double their stakes (from 1mil to 2mil).

Be honest, a lot of senior members may NEVER care about your strict rules (perhaps never read it carefully). Your supporters are not those senior member who you expected to be before, but those believer on your coin!

This is ok we can do both fine for me. Indeed i am really tired about delivery and dealing with rejected ones and their attacks. If community in general wants we stop at 500 people and also set a deadline. But i need to have at least 10 votes and without opposite ideas.

i think deadline is a good idea
but what will happen to undistributed coin?
they will eliminate?
in that case, we will need another mandatory update and another official thread

any undistributed coins will be put in a wallet which we will publish the address. It will be used as future bounty for anything that will help the coin and community.

what's your expected fraction of undistributed coins?
I prefer not a large number.
let the community decide, one of you open another poll and we vote. Lets run democracy here. :-)

Yes, I think you can set a poll to ask the opinion of the community.

And you can consider keep a small fraction (0.5% for instance-- that's the fraction of Faircoin kept) as the bounties and the funds.
Please open a poll for us. Or one of you, i want this time to be only voter :-)

I open a poll here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=557589.0
thank you voted there.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] How many stakeholders should CommunityCoin have? on: April 04, 2014, 08:26:55 PM
I voted thank you. I feel good. community works.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What happened with CommunityCoin thread? on: April 04, 2014, 08:11:06 PM
Quote
Yes, as i said, the undistributed coins can be delivered to the early stakeholders by the equal fraction.

For instance, if 500 stakes have been distributed in the end, then each stakeholders will get 2mil COMM.
If 800 stakes have been distributed, each will get 125mil COMM.
yes, agree
how many stakeholders so far?

btw, they can eliminate undistributed coins too
less amount of coin, probably more value and less work to distribute again

I guess about 360 (or even less) have been distributed so far.  A problem to spread, I guess, is the senior members don't like those strict rules.

The amount doesn't matter.   The fraction of each stakeholder will get is only dependent on the amount of stakeholders if the distribution is uniform.

Deadline, small amount for giveaways and rest shared with the stake holders. I support this approach.

yes, giveaways and bounties can reserve a small part.
0.5-1% will be fine.  Smaller fraction is preferred.
Yes we have about 350 people paid. We are not that strict, if you an active member you can have 50 posts after that all you need to have 5 minutes time to apply, this is 1 m coins not 100 or 500...
We still collect applications.

We have full record on who applied, who gets 1 mil etc. I am very surprised that the mod banned our thread without even asking us any details. I can ensure the whole community we are 100% fair in the distribution process, and we spent a lot time looking into the applicant info, and try to get rid of those who applied the 2nd time. Despite we spent huge amount of time on the coin, we still get only 1 mil each for the dev member, like any other members in the community.

New applicants, please continue to apply through the link and there are still many spots available. COMM is fair and it is a community coin!

http://communitycoin.info/apply/

Sorry, I can't figure out how people can fill this:
Enter bitcointalk link the reason to apply (we need to clearly see why you want to get 1M. COMM)

if the thread is locked.
I say there you can post anywhere in bitcointalk even possible in this thread. What we look to see username same as the one who applied. Otherwise we can have MR M says i am mr b give me coins.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What happened with CommunityCoin thread? on: April 04, 2014, 06:41:15 PM

http://ecoiner.org/communitycoin/dailymodo-report-locked-thread-bitcointalk-1569/

How to solve this? Re-open another thread or appeal to the moderator?
I send to forum admins our latest EXCEL file with online banned lists as well, which i coded to strip out those FAKE cheaters.
Who spam and make me unable to deliver.

280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What happened with CommunityCoin thread? on: April 04, 2014, 06:24:44 PM
The application form at

http://communitycoin.info/apply/

still says

Enter bitcointalk link the reason to apply

Nobody can give the reason they are applying now the thread is locked.

The application form needs updating.
This is needed because some people out there says he is YOU and trying to get your comms. Only way we can CHECK or sure he has to put there in bitcointalk with same username, he applied.

We had so many people using your username! and trying to get different wallets and say hey it's me give me my comm! Otherwise we dont have to be so much care. Simply deliver and forget we care to whom we work with.
