261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 27, 2015, 11:18:01 PM
Why does everybody here become Nerdchills just because the Bitcoin price changed today +1.6% ?

Euro/Usd rallied today as well by 1.35%.. But in Forex you have the opportunity to trade with up to 200x leverage... Which makes a 1% move 200% gains...

The sad thing is you can't really trade Bitcoin with 20x leverage because the liquidity is so shity.

Aye, but no doubt the opposite is true also, incurring losses.

Most of us don't know shit. That's an educated guess btw.
262  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 27, 2015, 09:49:23 PM
I have to say I find it pretty stupid how many people behave so childish when the price pumps a bit...

lol! what do you expect? this is the "speculation" board and the "price movement" thread, if you are looking for elevated conversation you should look elsewhere.

This place is also full of aspiring traders, who as we all know, are mostly kids.

yea I started trading Bitcoin back in the times and had no idea what I am doing... But now that I have a good understanding of markets in general following all the "bitcoin trading experts" it's kinda strange...

I switched almost completely to trading forex which feels much more fundamental. Everybody seems so much more mature compared to any place I joined for trading Bitcoin... The Whale Club teamspeak has some smart people in it but the loud "WE ARE GOING TO THE MOON, IT'S FOMO TIME, I am going to Jerk off now" guys are also there...

Your turn!

I like the idea of the image above showing home grown coffee. I would find it quite novel ordering some coffee from joe bloggs from a developing country through the mail. I suppose i best take a look at customs and exise.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Direction is NNE (north northeast) - MOON TIME on: July 26, 2015, 07:28:50 PM
Price is ready to take next step higher...

I'm guessing we have a Monday morning surprise.  Wink

I expect BRUTAL rise in less then 5 hours...

What happened to your expected $20-30 drop? You're all over the place.
267  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2015, 04:45:46 PM
I'd put my life on never seeing double digit coins or whatever pathetic predictions bears were churning out 4-5 months ago.

Think risk/reward.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 26, 2015, 10:39:11 AM
i just bought 0.05789 btc on www.coinbase.com just to see if could get on my account there after a bit (all is well)

so I've started the ball rolling everyone jump on now for the push back to $1,000 usd btc (my plans may be a bit grandiose but what the heck) Smiley

Every bitcoiner should add 1btc to his holdings... this way the ball would really start to roll  Grin

Keeping 5% of your bank balance at home in cash is a sure fire way to cause a crisis, if everybody did it. Cant imagine  too many rich boys liking that idea though. Who desires a crisis?
269  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: July 24, 2015, 05:40:11 PM

That kind of set up looks amazing. I'm really excited about the prospect of OpenBazaar. Fingers crossed it can really push us into the realms of mainstream adoption. We need a bit of a push now, new adoption has slowed.

I share your sentiments. This has to be a push in the right direction.
270  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar to Launch this November, Targets Unhappy Ebay Users on: July 24, 2015, 02:56:00 PM
the usual thing will happen i presume, for the first period of life of open bazar only true bitcoin nerd will use it the rest will remain with ebay and amazon

then if open bazar will do well and will not seen only as a new version of silkroad, the masses will start to accept it, which mean more usage of bitcoin

i see it as a good launch pad, for increase the bitcoin value

Well, it will bring more demand for people using bitcoin. It wont bring less. Even if it is not that many more it can only increase user usage.

I think it will be a little bit cool. It will be a little bit "out there". I can see people wanting to give it a try and if it competes on price then adoption will move to a new level as we approach filling up the 1mb block limit. When that happens, people will look to the devs for a solution and then pop goes the latest bubble when the news strikes that Mike Hearn has been arrested for the murder of Vladimir as police interrupt Mike trying to defecate on Vladimir's already lifeless body. Mike is then dragged to a police car through a flurry of journalists and heard to be saying, "he wouldn't bloody do anything. He just made me so mad".

Well.... something crazy has to happen. This is history.
271  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 24, 2015, 12:13:31 PM

More than 90% of the world nations are in debt. Only a select few are free from government debt (rich nations such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar).

How are Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar debt free? How do they manage their currency. No usury?
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece Cannot Pay, Greece Will Not Pay on: July 24, 2015, 11:57:33 AM
yeah the problem is not only with greece it's the whole fucking eu that is in debt, if other country are smart enough or at least their citizens, should start buying in something valuable in the future like bitcoin or if they prefer gold, which is tanking, maybe a good opportunity to buy

More than 90% of the world nations are in debt. Only a select few are free from government debt (rich nations such as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar). The governments are spending more than their overall tax revenues, and that is the reason why the debt is climbing. But most of the government spending is not reaching the tax payers. It is used for bank bailouts, warfare.etc

This can't go on forever.

I dont know. Debt is just a number and numbers can go on forever.

well the current crisis begs to differ, apparently it can't go forever, greece is the primarely example of the euro that is struggling against usd, usd isn't actually rising it's all the other that are falling...

usd did not lost so much probably because it was(and still it is) the number one among fiat

What is the debt to GDP of Greece that the papers spew out? 165% or something like that? One day they could be reporting 9000% debt to GDP. They may need to abandon reporting GDP soon and come up with a new measure. At what point will the masses realise that there is no hope? I concur that it feels like it is approaching, I have long since accepted that the national debt problem is a mathematical impossibility. It feels like such a slow creep though. Can but wait.

I'm not a trader or TA fan or something.

But what about this:

at scale (if history was to repeat) the second black circle should take us sideways until early 2016.

That should be earlier. I'm guessing start of October. Nice chart BTW. Smiley

You mean around about the time openbazaar is set to be released for the testing phase? Wink wink nudge nudge

www.bitcoincharts.com/charts for one

Thanks chaps.

It is time to release the presure cooker...

So ask.... didn't this Golden Cross occurrence happen in July 2014 and September 2014 and on both occasions the market moved downards?

Please read

I do recall that post but perhaps you can explain to my untrained eye. You say that if you zoom in the curve is outwards and this time it is inwards but in the image below it seems to me that the point marked "a" is outwards and the points marked "b" are inwards. No?

Look at 4 hour chart. We gonna moon

The 4hr chart kinda looks like a bubble that has just started to pop. No?

279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: extinguishing Western union on: July 23, 2015, 08:37:30 AM
1.5% is decent no?

Not decent at all, especially when you think how many users they have, and how many "1,5%"'s they take...

Aye, but there is no one out there using bitcoin to do anything like 1.5% at present.

I'm doing .5%, just in bitcoin only. If you have to pay 1% on either end to exchange into bitcoin, it's a little bit more, but if you get paid in bitcoins or buy them directly with localbitcoins.com, etc. it's cheaper.

Bitcoin only transfers cost a penny. How much business are you doing? Perhaps I am missing something, but isn't your service obsolete?

The site doesn't require downloading a software wallet, which is a major hurdle to user adoption. The only thing users have to know is the private key (and where they want to send it, of course). Boom, they can send the money. Even though to a technical person wallets are easy, to a non technical person it may make more sense to simply hold on to a key and use a one page, Google-like website to quickly send money. Helps educate people on how bitcoin works too.

Similar to the non-software wallet on blockchain.info?

Can we rise $4 before the new dump?

I have some targets to hit and forget to sell yesterday

Thank you

Yes we can. That doesn't necessarily mean that we will, but we do have permission to do that.

Thanks.
