261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I keep my BNB or Sell it? on: May 03, 2023, 05:53:45 AM
Hi, I'm new to here. So just want to ask your help or guide.

I have currently 800$ worth BNB. These are got from NFT that I sold back months ago that I got from airdrop. So what i need to know should I convert it to stable coin or should I invest it for bitcoin? Because my friends say that BNB don't have a future anymore. So I'm fully worry about this.

It's normal to feel unsure about what to do with your BNB when you hear conflicting opinions. However, if you want to invest in peace and sleep comfortably, BNB, apart from strong fundamentals, BNB also has a large number of users, which can be seen from the number of daily transactions.

I think BNB has performed well in the past and is still one of the largest cryptocurrencies in terms of market cap. It has many use cases within the Binance ecosystem and the exchange is continuously expanding its services, potentially increasing demand for BNB.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are a joke. on: May 03, 2023, 05:45:28 AM
So I have to pay $9 ETH to transfer 70 USDT I just received, out of my wallet? And worse, transferring any amount of ETH will set you back $3 in gas fees.

This phenomenon has been running for a long time perhaps due to the current bottleneck on the Ethereum network especially for Ethereum miners to process their transactions and execute smart contracts. What is a layer 2 solution, which can help reduce the burden on the Ethereum network and lower gas costs in the future I haven't tried it yet because I'm mostly looking for more affordable eg Polygon or BSC Networks.

263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: May 03, 2023, 05:39:37 AM

Your favorite altcoins are capable of losing 75% of their value within the next market cycle

Yes, Investing in cryptocurrencies carries a higher level of risk than traditional investments and other cryptocurrencies, is subject to market fluctuations and subject to significant price drops. While it is true that some altcoins may experience a significant drop in value during a market cycle as you mentioned “Your favorite altcoin may lose 75% of its value in the next market cycle”, that does not mean that they are “dead”. Altcoins can have use cases and propositions. their own unique value, and some may still be able to provide a good return on investment in the long term.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoins played in cryptocurrency industry on: May 03, 2023, 05:31:30 AM
Altcoins have introduced new concepts and functionalities to the cryptocurrency industry, and have both positive and negative effects on the adoption of Bitcoin. While they have helped to develop the underlying technology and introduce new users to the market, they have also led to competition and fragmentation, and have opened up opportunities for scams and frauds. Overall, altcoins have contributed to the evolution and progress of the cryptocurrency industry.

"they have also led to competition and fragmentation, and have opened up opportunities for scams and frauds" I think This is a valid point - while altcoins have brought many benefits to the cryptocurrency industry, they have also opened up new opportunities for scams and scams.

It is true that altcoins have had a significant impact on the cryptocurrency industry, both in terms of introducing new ideas and expanding the user base. Many altcoins have introduced new functionality and use cases that have helped drive innovation and progress within the industry as a whole.
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: May 03, 2023, 05:23:29 AM
Even though it is difficult to accurately predict the future growth of ETH and BTC, at least in the future ETH and BTC will experience a drastic increase. It is even possible that later BTC will increase 4x in 2024. Moreover, it is very likely that in 2024 there will be a halving which indicates that the price of bitcoin will soar high to set a new ATH record again.

I think the long-term growth potential of this cryptocurrency is significant, given its increasing adoption and use cases. However, it is important to remember that any investment in cryptocurrencies comes with risks and volatility and even if BTC may experience significant growth in 2024, there are many factors that could affect the future price of BTC, including regulatory changes, shifts in market sentiment, and emergence of new technologies.

The halving event in 2024 is not a definitive indicator of price increases, as it is ultimately subject to market forces. As always, investors in cryptocurrencies should approach their investments with a long-term perspective and a willingness to deal with potential fluctuations in the market.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON as a national currency. on: May 03, 2023, 05:15:31 AM
In my opinion related this, One of the most important factors is ensuring the country's infrastructure is capable of supporting cryptocurrency use, including factors such as internet access and digital literacy. While POLYGON's user-friendly interface can certainly make it a good choice for countries with low levels of education, there are other factors to consider as well. For example, governments need to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support the use of cryptocurrencies, including access to the internet and digital devices. They also need to consider how to ensure that cryptocurrencies are used safely and securely, and how to protect against fraud or other criminal activity.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Government's actions against crypto on: May 03, 2023, 05:07:16 AM
I think it's also another attempt to find common ground between government and industry, such as pro-crypto laws in certain states and regulatory guidelines from the SEC and While it's true that there are risks associated with crypto, it's worth noting that the industry has taken steps to steps to address this risk, such as implementing KYC and AML protocols.

I don't think we should worry about that situation, but it's important to remember that investing always carries some level of risk. While government actions may impact the market, it is also possible that the market will recover and continue to grow over time. It may be a good idea to consider diversifying your investments and staying up to date on any developments in the industry.

271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: April 27, 2023, 05:05:23 AM
Hi just new to here. I want to know what are the good altcoins that can be invest and forget until 2026. I'm currently thinking to spend around 600$ for altcoins. Right now I'm holding BNB & ETH only as altcoins. Don't say buy BTC cuz already have nice amount since 2010.

Is it good to invest in HOOk, SUI , ARB or ID altcoins? Since they are new just thought to give a try. Thank you
I have no advice on what you should buy in this market but I will talk about you being like a gambler wanting to try your luck in a different environment with longer wait times for results.
Take your time to research this market and do not experience money with such faith and desire for luck, instead of just waiting for someone to give you the opportunity, if you If you don't intend to profit from the market properly, I think you should spend that money on lottery tickets that are much more valuable.

No just don't need lot of profits. I just want to spend this money for good altcoins. These are all money from previous IPL matches bets I placed. Just only wasted 80$ but today have nearly 600$ money. I don't upset if this 600$ will be 6$ in long term. Just want to put this in alts and forget about it. since in this forum lot of guys have experience in crypto I thought to share it here. Thanks for the advice btw.

It's great to hear that you have some money to invest in altcoins, but it's important to approach it with caution. Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile markets, so there are always risks involved. It's good if you don't just focus on profit, but more on good altcoin investments, for example, if you buy Matic and enter now, I'm sure in December you can harvest it, maybe 2x the value of your investment.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the pet industry recession-proof? on: April 27, 2023, 04:54:56 AM
Over the past months, the world has been ravaged by inflation and people are losing their purchasing power due to the high cost of goods and services. So many sectors of the economy are in a deep recession that has resulted in business failure. The pet sector is also suffering from inflation. In June 2022, pet food inflation in the U.S. reached 10.3%, Canadian had 8.1% and Europe has 8.8%.

But when it is expected that during an economic crisis, people would pull back on spending on their pets, it turned out the opposite. According to research by Edge by Ascential, the pet industry is forecasted to reach $281 billion by 2023. Many economists believe that the pest industry is recession-proof. In the past two recessionary dips of 2001 and 2008, pet spending actually grew unabated each year by 7 percent and 5 percent respectively. Moreover, it has followed a steady trajectory of growth over the past 30 years.  It's rare to find a sector that offers both growth and defensiveness in recessions like the pet industry.

Reasons for the growth of the pet industry

Generation Z loves pets: It is now fashionable for the younger generation to own pets. The millennial generation already makes up 32% of pet industry consumers as they see their pets in a whole new light compared to their parent's generation. Millennials are now three times more likely to be pet owners than they are to be parents. Investors, founders, and analysts in the pet industry stated that while other sectors are suffering, the sector is bullish about its ability to withstand the worst. Part of this is because pet owners love their pets a lot. A recent study by Consumer Affairs surveyed 1,000 pet owners and found that 57 percent of participants aged 27 and 42 love their furry friends more than their siblings. The study also found that millennials’ romantic partners come second to a pet for 30 percent of participants.

In the UK, 3.2 million new homes adopted pets. People under 35 accounted for 59% of new pet owners, while 56% of those buying a pet for the first time had children at home. In the U.S, the numbers are equally staggering.  With the current trend of humanization among Generation Z, pest owners are not tightening their purse strings when it comes to everyday staples like good quality nutrition.

In my opinion, The reasons behind the growth of the pet industry, particularly among Generation Z. As you mentioned, millennials are now three times more likely to become pet owners than parents. This shift in attitudes toward pet ownership is due to a variety of factors, including the humanization of pets and the desire to make friends.

One thing that is unique in this moment, the People are no longer satisfied with providing basic needs for their pets and This trend is evident in the demand for high quality pet nutrition and health products, as people are willing to invest in the health and well being of their pets.

Well, another factor contributing to the growth of the pet industry is the increasing availability of pet-friendly housing. This increased accessibility to pet-friendly housing has made it easier for people to become pet owners.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 27, 2023, 04:36:47 AM
Banning crypto is no joke! It is true that cryptos can't be banned through a legal provision, but a government can take extreme measure to make cryptos irrelevant in their country. China has been doing that since the inception of ICOs but they haven't yet gone to extreme.

Also US has started taking some harsh measures against crypto companies. Apparantly they will not ban crypto entirely but they would want to regulate the crypto market in their country.

Don't underestimate the power of a government. They can go to extreme if they really want to achieve something at any cost.

I think extreme measures such as banning cryptocurrencies outright may not be effective in achieving the desired goals. Banning cryptocurrencies will only push them underground and make them more difficult to regulate, while also limiting the potential benefits they can provide.

Exactly and it's a reality as the OP said where governments have the power to regulate or restrict cryptocurrencies and it's always the winner when it comes to rules but I think the roles of parties can be achieved through open and transparent dialogue between government, industry experts and stakeholders can work together to develop an effective regulatory framework, so that cryptocurrency users and in this case the public can use it safely and responsibly, while driving innovation and growth in the industry.
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: April 27, 2023, 04:20:47 AM
Coupons and promo codes

Image link:  https://i.ibb.co/NpcLm8f/promo-code.jpg

There are many websites on the internet offering promo codes and coupons for items in stores.

What are other good methods of cutting costs on food items?

I think, There are many effective ways to cut food costs, one of which is like Look for sales and discounts where we can find around the local grocery store in our respective areas it can be Coupons and promo codes as the OP mentioned but taking into account the user must Sign up for a loyalty program or use those digital coupons and I think that's an option too to save more money but I'm sure it's only for a certain time, not all the time.

Well, I think there is a better strategy and this should be a habit for every family where we can save money while still enjoying good and nutritious food, namely, Cook at home because eating out can be expensive, so consider cooking food at home instead. Cooking your own food not only saves you money but also allows you to control the quality and nutrition of your food.

I've noticed most of this coupons are only in US or UK as they putting coupons in news papers, magazines,in products as well as in social media but the problem is that they dont usually use it only those in need but here in our country we rarely have one of it since people going to abuse it mostly those no minimum to spend as other people are so greedy on saving money. I remember before that there are coupons given only to new user but still getting abuse by those not a new user by making a lot of accounts and changing identity. Yes we can save from it but it is rarely happening in our country

Yes, coupons may be scarce and can be abused in some countries, this does not mean that they are not worth pursuing. By acknowledging the challenges and limitations of using coupons, while highlighting their potential benefits and best practices, my view is that they can at least help consumers make informed and responsible decisions about how to save money on their purchases.

275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Anyone Think Luna Will Recover? on: April 26, 2023, 09:21:25 AM
As Usual, The coin has the potential to recover, but at present things are extremely uncertain.

Because, Founder of Terra creator Terraform Labs, tweeted on Tuesday: “Close to announcing a recovery plan for $UST. And He Hangs tight On His Words.”

He added on Wednesday: “I understand the last 72 hours have been extremely tough on all of you – know that I am resolved to work with every one of you to weather this crisis, and we will build our way out of this.

I think, it is possible that the market may change in its favor in the future. However, it is important to maintain a diversified portfolio and not rely too much on a single asset. Abaout The question of whether Luna will ever recover is a tricky one. On the one hand, the founder of Terraform Labs has indicated that a UST stablecoin recovery plan is coming soon, which could help stabilize the Luna ecosystem. However, the specifics of this plan are not yet known, and there is still a lot of uncertainty surrounding the situation.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XLM - yes or no? on: April 26, 2023, 09:14:56 AM
While I've seen XLM have underperformed in previous bull runs, its recent association with XRP may have contributed to this. However, it is important to remember that XRP is currently involved in an ongoing legal case. Thus, it may not be wise to base investment decisions solely on the outcome of the case.

Investing in XLM with the expectation of a 10x return is a high risk strategy and should only be undertaken with a careful consideration of the potential losses. yes, As always, it is important to diversify one's portfolio and not put all one's eggs in one basket.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 26, 2023, 09:08:05 AM
I think there are many ways to avoid falling prey to scam projects, it's important to be careful and do your due diligence. First, research the project team and their previous work experience to determine if they are credible and able to deliver on their promises. Second, scrutinize the project whitepaper and its technical aspects, ensuring that the proposed solution is feasible and innovative. Third, investigate the project's community and social media presence to gauge its popularity and reputation. Fourth, beware of unrealistic promises of returns or aggressive marketing tactics.

Finally, seek the opinion of an expert, either a friend or anyone who is adept at learning. Well, By following these steps and maintaining a healthy skepticism, I think one can avoid scams and make sound investment decisions.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 26, 2023, 09:02:36 AM

Here is my bold assumption. As the recent cryptocurrency prices continue to drop dramatically, the whole market needs a big time and force to embrace a new bullish period.

I guess everyone is waiting for a new bull market for cryptocurrencies but will it start in June I am also waiting for this beautiful moment, but the positive point of the recent price drop has also created opportunities for investors to enter the market and in my opinion Hong Kong's recent attempt to become a crypto hub, with new rules and policies due to be implemented in June will be a strong magnet for the bull market to come.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do with bitcoin? on: April 25, 2023, 05:23:12 PM
Well, the first thing you should do when Bitcoin goes to the moon is smile  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy, of course! what we will do with our Bitcoin investments ultimately depends on our goals. Do we want to use it for daily transactions, Hold as a long term investment or Diversify our portfolio. I think the possibilities are many and unlimited.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Little Bitcoin investment becoming something else on: April 25, 2023, 05:15:17 PM
This is not the best place to ask for advice. In fact, it's better not to take financial advice from strangers at all.
Probably, when you invested your money, you set yourself a goal - a target. Start from it and do what you think is the best.

For example, for me such an amount is not considered a big profit so I wouldn't sell it. But we're all different and we have different goals, so this could be a good deal for you.

I fully agree that seeking financial advice from strangers or the internet is not the best idea, but I think there is nothing wrong with sharing in this forum so that someone is more confident in making investment decisions and they are taken based on updated data and facts, even though the end abaout decesion maker is in their hands Alone.
