261  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Is Dollar The Cause? on: April 10, 2024, 10:35:07 PM
The inflation dey affect everything including house rent. Don't be surprised as things will keep increasing to some extent before it will make a price correct then inflation go drop small. As it stands now the people wey get house (landlords and landladies) dem too dey the country so things don dey tight for them and most na the house rent be their salaries and investments so if things hard them go add money to the house in order for them too to survive.

Just as we took dey experience the situation of things them too dey experience am, so the circle of things continues. The way I dey see the suffer self fit never end now oo because everything dey go in circle, if this one increase the other one go increase too and so on. It takes only Gods grace to revive the country because the law of gravity no dey function for Nigeria economy, as things go up e don remain there for life.
Make we no feel say na wickedness this landlords and landladies dey do but make we see am as the cause of inflation or hard economy.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you depend on game predictions by supercomputers? on: April 10, 2024, 10:17:14 PM
This supercomputers are just capable of doing maths that are automated on it by the manufacturers and whatever that has to do with humans are always very confusing as we humans do not even trust ourselves to our next minutes, hence no matter how smart this computers become I don't believe they will have any accurate predictions.
What we can see from this supercomputers are that they depend on the opinions or the suggestions of humans to make their predictions, and as long as this gambling related stuffs aren't mathematical/scientific computers will find it very hard to make correct predictions because they will depend on our biased opinions and observations to make their predictions.
There is no doubt that no one can predict the exact things that might happen in the future, and it's also true that AI models and supercomputers don't do anything themselves but they are fed with data that they process and then come up with results based on the provided data. So, their predictions can also be wrong.
That's exactly my point. We provided the data's that supercomputers use to theorise their results, and with this, humans are so much biased when giving out informations (data) based on our favourites, feelings and emotions can influence our perspective and informations that we can give out hence for this supercomputers to do well on  and give an accurate predictions it will require us humans to be objective and not subjective with the informations (data's) which is never possible.

With this major point I seem to believe that AIs, Supercomputers etc can not give an accurate predictions but can a close to correct because at some point the informations will surely be slightly correct hence it's a chance for us to use them. But in the cost of using an automated machine for predictions we should influence this predictions with our biases a little bit in order to be line always.
263  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: E no resemble local board. on: April 10, 2024, 10:05:13 PM
~snip~
I totally grasp what you meant with this post but for some they may not really understand it from your perspective but everyone is right at the same time.

From a clear understanding what you mean is that we should try to make our titles and posts with pidgin language in order to privatize our discussions than open them in English, making it as readable for everyone in the forum unlike other local boards where if you don't understand their lingual Franca you can't relate to what's going on there. So what you're saying indirectly is we should put more effort to use our LB language than the general language in the forum hence it will protect us from what we call "See finish" by the merit sources and other colleagues.

It's still a good idea, I like it but my problem is I'm not too good at writing in pidgin but from now i will try my best to pass some information through pidgin. Since both English and pidgin are acceptable in the local board we can still mix them when necessary but as long as information is being passed it's fine by some people that's what exactly most people are trying to say too.
264  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Our dictators with their false alarms just for self enrichments. on: April 10, 2024, 09:42:44 PM
I don't know how others view the country and it's politics but from my perspective it's just a joke not more nothing less. Here in Nigeria we are running a race of survival of the fittest, if you have the means of production and distribution your like a mini gods that has others in your hands. The only thing they as dictators as you put it can do is respect us a little by not telling us the whole truth that we are stupid or foolish followers but they just strategize a way to make it obvious that we can't do any thing rather than obey them.

If not I don't see any reason why Nigerians with our level of awareness will fall for this stupid informations spread across to deceive us. I believe it's more of the illiterates that takes this powerful people informations and decisions on there head leaving the educated or enlightened people with no choice than to conform with the information like they never knew it the real truth. If only Nigerians can become a web, connect ourselves like the spider connects it's web and turn against the decisions and wrong informations of the press and elites of the country then we will as a country excel.

The whole system is so manipulated that no decisions goes outside the rooms of the elites, after successfully carrying out the said plans of sharing national funds they spread a game called shadow party where two top politicians will have issues in the medias and their fans will keep following the arguments without knowing the initial plans after the arguments they go back together in a room where our eyes can reach to celebrate their evils deeds. If you're car ful enough I believe you most have come across such scenarios in the social medias where cameras caught some politicians who quarrel over and over in the news and then go back to have dinners together thereby calling the masses fools indirectly knowing that we have no force to push them out.

But I believe in less than no time things will begin to change in our favour. Apart from the fact that some Nigerian armies have forgotten their place in the country than to take part against the people during protest hence the government would have felt the wrath of the masses through the #EdnSars protest and the massive voting of a principled candidate of the presidential office. But it's not yet over in few years, another coalition will take place and this time it will not fall then the masses will be in power not the elites.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you feel when you experience violence while gambling on: April 10, 2024, 12:11:37 AM
I have not experienced something like this before but I know for sure that people get angry easily because they lost money to casinos or to their fellow gamblers. Sometimes the vexation can lead to fight but it's not often. You're situation would have been different if you understood the situation of things earlier and left the environment than get involved with the police for what you have no business with.

This a typical example of why most people have chosen online based casinos than land based casinos, perhaps its more private to take you actions at any given place than subject yourself to public insults and issues like this. Anyways this particular case have given me a lesson too, I will be more conscious of the environment I will find myself hence forth.
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: April 09, 2024, 09:47:28 PM
What brings merit is quality post but the quality of your post is subjective which means it depends on the merit source spread merit based on what he /she considers as quality post.

A quality post can either be lengthy or short but it's more about the information that it contains. Sometimes your post can be very informative but it has been treated or it's known to the people already hence they do not consider it anymore.

But perhaps you want to earn some merit for good post then you have to look at how people who have been earning some good merit does it and then if you follow the steps it certainly bring you some merit too.
In my early days here, I discovered something about merits. I discovered one earlier and the other later.
What I discovered earlier was;
When you have the consciousness of getting merits and put good efforts in your posts, you will earn it. This worked for me many times, but at a time it stopped working for me. No matter how merit conscious I'll be, I will not get merits.
The second phase came;
This was when I started flowing with the forum discussion and never had merits in mind because I already earned enough to take me to Snr member. Merits started coming gradually and was steady. So, merit is just dynamic.
I understand such situations, and I think I'm currently in the second phase where I don't longer search for merits, although I'm not up to a senior member rank. I feel more relaxed now and a bit more experienced, so I'm not as merit conscious as before, when I used to crack my head on what to do to earn merit because almost everything I thought of was already done before hand.

Now, it seems I understand the merit system better, so I don't force myself on merit sources to earn merit, but I just do my best by contributing continuously regardless of whether merit is coming or not. Also in my local board, I never thought I would be receiving merit from there because I wasn't acquainted with how it works, but at one point, I woke up to two merits from @hugeblack in the local board and @CryptopreneurBrainboss for honestly speaking my mind. From that day until date, I have not been chasing merit because I no longer believe that when it's time for you to earn merit, you will, no matter what.

So what I just encourage other mates to do is keep the stone rolling. You may not be noticed today, but at least tomorrow is another day.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you depend on game predictions by supercomputers? on: April 08, 2024, 08:47:53 PM
Firstly, I will have to ask is it humans that are going to play this matches? If yes then you're likely to understand what I'm taking about.

You can have a different perception of the supercomputers but this is mine.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: April 08, 2024, 08:26:08 PM
It's not like the casinos are wired to mess with the most active gamblers but it's just because most people put more effort trying to make big profits from casinos and that intention is always what we speak against here in the gambling world.  Until you realise that gambling is not for the eating purpose as we expect the more we are likely to begin to win more in casinos.

As long as you keep your eyes on the casino whether online or land based casino you will tend to be making mistakes every time you gamble because you desires will be to hit big even when your predictions are wrong hence you will keep staking again and again making you feel like your not wining when you should have just relent from staking already.

Sincerely, I experience this and I'm still on it. Long time ago when I was very active in gambling, I kept wagering and lossing because I felt been so active staking will increase the chance of winning but that's not how gambling works, untill when I started only when I feel like then I began to win more.
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Readability but inability to put in practice becomes investors challenges on: April 08, 2024, 08:11:25 PM
This is just your biased observation of how people react to informations here in the forum while the actual result might be a very big different from your own knowledge.

Just as the first comment says, your not completely correct with the instance you gave, from my own understanding there is a way the brain is wired, as long as you keep informations flowing from a source into it, it will surely store some in it but that will be in your unconscious state, that means you will never be aware that the informations are stored till a time when it will pop up as need then you will realise the true meaning of no information/knowledge is a waste.

As for the knowledge we get in this forum, a lot of people actually practice them, sometimes even without us knowing that we are practicing the knowledge. Just like choosing a wallet for storage of our assets I believe most now use an open source wallet, and that is as a result of the information we have gathered here.

I just believe that your thinking is very biased based on what your experience or based on your environment. I could give good examples of what same types of threads keeps reoccurring not because they are not learning but because things are expected to repeat themselves because we are humans and everyday people keep testing the same thing and they end up getting the same result hence leading to the same type of questions or post reoccurring. You might also be right with your perspective of why informations keeps repeating itself but you don't have to generalize it.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking profits / being greedy. on: April 08, 2024, 07:47:17 PM
I have seen alot of people that have given my thoughts here but I will still have to contribute a little more.

Just as your instinct keeps telling that you're becoming too greed as per waiting to hit a 48x before you can take the said profit when for sure you have received a convincing profit so it is mate!
You're becoming too greedy to lay your hands on a risk that is not really necessary.

IMO, since this is an altcoin that we are talking about nobody knows the next move of the market and not all coins even follow with the move of bitcoin so even if the market becomes bullish some coins will still be experiencing a downward movement hence I advise you take the half bread than wait for a full loaf that might not come.

272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Memecoins on the Solana Chain are still thriving. on: April 07, 2024, 04:50:46 PM
The only thing that I love most about solana itself is the fact that it once resisted the flow of bitcoin downward trend. And that has gotten my attention apart from that I don't see anything in the solana chain because it's filled with pump and dump coins or tokens that will gradually destroy the reputation solana is building.

Even if this memecoins are making people very rich it does not change the fact that they are not a utility token that can last long in the crypto space, infact they are real examples of quick profit projects. Investing on them is solely a personal risk, if you loss, you lose nothing else hence it should be considered as a serious investment.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto loan platform? on: April 07, 2024, 04:31:20 PM
Are people now taking loans from crypto platforms now?

It's the first time I'm hearing of such thing like crypto loans platform.

Firstly, I don't borrow and I haven't tried it and I don't even think I will be doing that at any time, not even from individuals or companies not banks I haven't borrowed yet but if the need arises I might take the risk but only for a good course.

I don't really know about loan platforms here nor outside the crypto space, so I don't have any idea of a what the would be like.

275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoins or Fiat? on: April 07, 2024, 04:08:47 PM
When planning to protect yourself against volatile crypto market prices, which type of currency do you prefer? A stablecoin, or a traditional Fiat currency (USD, EUR, JPY, etc)? Why did you make that choice? Would you prefer holding either currency long-term? Or crypto is better for that?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Sincerely I would go for stablecoin, because currently my local currency has been fluctuating and I can not afford to lose to inflation.

Since the USD has been gaining a lot of value over my local currency I will love to save in USDT to cope with the current inflation problem.

For an investment purposes I prefer to go with a cryptocurrency that is volatile enough to make me profit in a long term. For sure, I wouldn't be saving any money that will not yield any profit after a very long time because it's against the rules of entrepreneurship, at every moment we must take risk to be productive enough. So it's clear that I will go for crypto for long term.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is all this memecoin hype about? on: April 07, 2024, 03:51:29 PM
The question is really worth asking because wtf would I see everywhere filled with different memecoins (shitcoins) that will disappear from the market with investors funds and a lot of people are running after this coins.

The profit making scheme of this coins is really what surprises me, because I can't even put a dime in a memecoin, sometime ago because of the hype I saw I was tempted to purchase some shitcoins but I did remember how bad the result could be so I seized from it.

I feel like this memecoins have turn the crypto space to a gambling ground where people will purchase at a little price or from the starting point and sell when they see a little price increase and I wonder those who buy them at the end what they use it for because in just a few hours this coins disappears from the space and never to rise again hence making people loss so much money. Infact I'm pissed of this memecoin stuff it's getting more attention than expected.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Temporary Down Turn for Altcoins Over? on: April 07, 2024, 03:30:34 PM
The community doesn't know exactly what will be the reaction of altcoins nor bitcoin in the next few days and weeks but be rest assured that not all altcoins will or has fall up to a 30%.

Mostly we know that altcoins follow the bitcoin trends to make move, so whatever bitcoin does that is exactly what every other coin will follow. But I believe that bitcoin will not longer fall that much so it might be heading to an upward movement, and so the altcoins might be following it too.

So we just have to be patient with the market and be conscious at the same time not to loss our funds.

279  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Why human investment dy rewarding on: April 07, 2024, 03:16:45 PM
Omor, givers now don dey lack ooh! Just kidding..!

Anyways it's true that we should always help one another. Lifting people from their current situation can make you stand strong even when you might have lost your own glory. Life is a mystery, it revolves nobody knows which table it's going to fall on, so you must have to take others along with us to be on a good side. Never to think of how bad some people treat us even when we do them good.

Apart from the fact that people will still not value your kindness we must not relent rather we should keep holding on to our conscience than hope on them. Dem say na who help em homies naim convoy dey long pass, so if you want a health wealth then your background, family, friends and neighbours too have to be as rich as you are then you can be considered a rich person.

What I'm saying in essence is help your family and friends to leave the current state of economy and you will be rewarded in another way.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Arcblock - anyone else get in early? on: April 07, 2024, 01:22:15 PM
Arcblock has been on massive pump over the last week I got in near the bottom in November and just taken out my investment.

With only 186 million supply and $70m market cap - this could still go a lot higher.

What has caused the hype lately and is anyone else invested?
Recently, Arcblock is getting the said hype because of it's upcoming airdrop and another thing I can say about Arcblock is the fact that it has been long here in the space but has been going up and down. So a lot of people has lost hope in it but for me I'm not even interested in it a bit not to talk of investing in it.

I have not done any research on it but I don't think it has any utility for now, except it has and I don't know about it, I believe that's one thing that derives investors most when it can be of help in the space.
