261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best SocialFi (legit, no scam) on: April 26, 2024, 04:35:40 AM
Does Steemit count  Grin Grin?

I think OP is talking about new SocialFi projects rather than the older ones. Steemit indeed is quite a big name (from my POV). From what I know, people actually make money by posting content and receiving upvotes. It’s not just about making money but you get to connect with people and learn from them. I’m not sure if any project will easily replace Steemit.

Steemit and PublishOx are not social media platforms they both are blogging platforms like Medium. They cannot be considered as SocailFi projects in the crypto space. I have seen many names in the past coming up with the same concept but the success rate in SocialFi is less as users do not want to get paid in crypto but USD. That is why many users shift their base to more prominent names that pay a user in USD.
262  Local / India / Re: Raj Kundra-Shilpa Shetty in Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Scam on: April 26, 2024, 02:27:17 AM
snip~~

Rich people don't marry for love but for their own personal benefits. We can see it clearly happening in the Ambani family. I guess all celebrities do the same but as Shilpa Shetty has her own reputation and he own fame it is better to stay away from a man who is constantly indulging in criminal activities. Another such issue in the future will jeopardize her career and her fame. That is what I feel and as in the past such issues have dented the career of a few famous actresses.
263  Local / India / Re: Good News Nirmal Sitharaman is not contesting Lok Sabha poll on: April 26, 2024, 02:21:58 AM
I would rather say we should be prepared for even worse post election because they may implement more stricter law as the communal politics has been successful till date and Modi will manage to win this term as well due to lack of strong oppositions and also because of fear he has created in people's mind saying they would be in danger if he loses. RBI governor will surely roll out more actions against crypto as he is not a fan of crypto. So we need to think how we would be engaged in crypto be it trading or P2P or even investment.

As long as the opposition is divided and the Youth Icon talks shit the ruling party will win the election. Congress wants inheritance tax to be implemented and now BJP will be using this stupidity to cash votes which they have already started. I don't divulge in much poltics but the future for crypto in India is not looking good. Even the US government is trying it's level best to stop crypto exchanges from operating in thier country. Looks like the G20 gang are in sync with each other.

OP is only promoting another shitcoin, he is not part of the team. You can check his previous posting and you will realise what is happening hear. I did go through the links that OP has submitted. It is a new meme coin and doesn't have a good liquidity or a big community to pump it. I think it is better to stay away from investing in a new meme coin.
266  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If all your wages were paid in USDT, would you accept it? on: April 25, 2024, 03:46:21 AM
If your salary was not US dollars, but USDT, would you dare to ask for it? Although USDT can facilitate transfers and cross-border payments, thinking about the fluctuations and risks makes me feel a little panicked! It can’t be used everywhere in daily life, What do you think? Come and chat!

USDT is a good option only for cross border payments other than that it doesn't hold any importance. If someone gets paid in USDT they still will need to convert it into fiat as it is not accepted everywhere. Grocery, rent payments, bill payments cannot be done using USDT, those payments require fiat. I personally won't be interested in getting my wages paid in USDT unless my employer is situated in a different country.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Exchanges Nowadays on: April 25, 2024, 03:18:55 AM
Coinbase and Kraken are top-tier exchanges, you can choose anyone out of the two or both for trading. If you are searching for local exchanges in your country then check the local boards. They will be able to suggest which exchange you should choose for fiat conversion. You can look into Binance for both trading and using their P2P service for fiat conversion if they are operating in your country.
268  Local / India / Re: [March 2024 update] Indian Board activity on Bitcointalk on: April 25, 2024, 03:15:36 AM
^ I have no clue how to work around with all those negative issues surrounding crypto and the local board. Current situation related to crypto in our country is in negative trajectory and we can see it's effect on the local board. A large number of active users have either quit the forum or not interested in any discussion here. I think we need to wait for the next bull run and hopefully we might see an increase in activities here.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the progress of ethereum, would it reach 3k this year or higher? on: April 24, 2024, 04:30:05 AM
Keep on holding if you want to get good returns. In the first quarter of this year Ethereum did surpass $4k price point. It is already trading above $3k as of today. When the next bull run comes it will break its old ATH. Now, you might ask the question when will the next bull run start? That no one can answer but after Bitcoin Halving it can happen anytime.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any airdrop farming which also gives bitcoins in addition to original token? on: April 24, 2024, 03:08:21 AM
Why would any other crypto project airdrop Bitcoin, which is more valuable than their native token? Do use some common sense before creating such topics as this is 2024 and not those initial days when Bitcoin was cheap and easy to mine. If you want Bitcoin for some work then join a bounty campaign wait for the tokens to be listed, and convert those tokens to Bitcoin by selling them. Although Bounties are a waste of time due to the fact that most of them are scams and only a few hit the market.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rate of abandoned projects on solana on: April 24, 2024, 03:01:45 AM
You have learned the hard way it seems and it is something everyone here has been saying that meme coins are high-risk investments. Rug pull is common in crypto and it is not something only associated with meme coins. You cannot blame the Solana network for all the wrong happening there are other crypto projects that are not scamming investors within the Solana ecosystem. Investment is always risky and that is why you need to do your research before investing. If you do not do any research then you will be at a loss and you cannot blame anyone for what happened to your money.
272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Kaspa worth it? on: April 24, 2024, 01:57:12 AM
I have been hearing about this coin within the forum and on social media for sometime now. In the initial days it was about mining it using a laptop but now it seems ASIC miners are doing the mining job. I think those who were into Ethereum mining have now shifted to kaspa. For long term gain it is a good crypto to invest and currently it is priced at a decent value.
273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading campaigns helps level up trading for traders on: April 23, 2024, 07:05:58 AM
It looks like exchanges are now following the path of crypto casinos. Casinos are known to attack new and existing gamblers by holding wagering competitions in the past to increase their revenue. The same is being done by the said exchange to get new traders and attract existing traders. I do wonder how many traders have won those awards and whether such competitions are completely fair towards the traders. I have seen Binance and a few more exchanges organizing such events but they do not offer physical rewards, they offer tokens which I think is fair enough as participants do get to see their rewards.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's in For Altcoins after the Halving? on: April 23, 2024, 06:52:17 AM

Especially after this halving the TX fees to make Bitcoin transactions is too much and unfair that we need to spend $25 or higher which means people who make frequent crypto transactions but want their transactions to be recorded on the blockchain will definitely see some altcoin as an alternative or at least until the fee becomes normal of BTC network which means the some of the coins will be actually adopted for payments which is great than just being used as bump and dump assets.

The transaction fees on the Bitcoin network are insanely high and I do not think anyone can make small payments now. The Ordinals have again started spamming the network causing congestion and an increase in fees. Altcoins are following the Bitcoin price path and it seems they will move in the same manner for some time now. If Bitcoin goes up they follow it, if it goes down they also go down there nothing else happening.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bull Run Approaching: Projects to Watch Besides ETH on: April 23, 2024, 06:47:14 AM

ATOR is a project focused on keeping your online activity private and secure. They're building a new way for people to connect to the internet using special hardware and a token system that rewards users for helping keep the network strong. What I love about ATOR is that it's not just about tech - it's about giving people control over their online lives. With their recent partnership with Streamr, they're making big moves to make privacy and decentralization accessible to everyone.

What do you mean by the highlighted sentence in bold? Are they coming up with computer hardware or what kind of hardware? We already know many browsers claim they keep the privacy & security of their users on top, but TOR out of all of them is the most convincing. What they offer is already available on the internet I do not think it would be wise to invest. Another red flag is that they have not built their product and that is a concern for me.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Worldcoin? on: April 23, 2024, 04:40:55 AM

they were news about this coin being distributed in malls to those who permitted the silver ball to scan their eyeballs. i would certainly run away from this project it seems too futuristic that getting personal data of someone through the eyes is just too Black Mirror for me. whatever they do to those data, is not really worth supporting this project.

but right now, it poses to be attractive for investors and if they giveaway again through scanning your eyes, people will really go for it. It's scary shit.

They ran an airdrop campaign before listing on Binance for a month. These campaigns were being run in malls and other places where they can get hold of the youth. I don't remember how many tokes were airdropped but to get those token you were asked scan your iris by placing your head into the silver ball. That silver ball is called orb and it happened last year in the month of August.
277  Local / India / Re: Binance Exchange is coming back to India. on: April 23, 2024, 04:21:17 AM
I feel after agreeing to the terms and conditions of the Indian government they will lose users. Already there is a lot of issues with Binance P2P service for India. Bank account freeze are quite common when using the P2P service and now after agreeing to Indian government policies they will lose users who were using the exchange for saving tax. I think most of us were using international exchanges for only one purpose and that was tax saving. I feel rather than making money from India they will lose money

I have different point of view, if new investors are entering into the market then probably their first choice will be trading or atleast buying from Binance which is inevitable that increases the liquidity for sure. But in my opinion still trading on the p2p like Paxful seems to be the best option even though we have to pay 1% trading fee we can find deals that covers the fee and in total we can nullify trading cost but as said day trading is no more profitable if 1% TDS is in place.

Why would a new investor register on Binance when he knows taxation would be like a local exchange. Anyways you have a point that can be only verified after a few months. Another important aspect of crypto is that most new investors join this business only when they hear good outcomes from this industry through a friend or a family. They will be informed about the tax structure and they will know how to find a loophole. Earlier they used Binance as it was an easy way to hide 1% TDS now it will not be the recommended exchange. I am not against tax but I think 1 % TDS is not justified.

still the government is giving your people a good chance to use the good exchange where there are plenty of users and high liquidity. as long as binance will pay for the operation in your country, i think this is a piece of good news for all.

the tax issue is within your government. all governments today i think is looking for ways to make money and they may just find the big spender. afaik, that $2M is not yet final, i think they could squeeze more from binance as they are willing to comply.

Yes, to an extent this can be considered as a good news wherein the government unofficially has now started implementing long awaited regulations but the primary issue is the tax. For any trader, freelancer and employee who deals in crypto will have to pay higher taxes than those dealing in fiat.
278  Local / India / Re: Raj Kundra-Shilpa Shetty in Bitcoin Ponzi Scheme Scam on: April 23, 2024, 04:05:29 AM
Raj Kundra's past has been shady before he shifted to India he was entangled in petty crimes in the UK. Mind you he is on bail in the porn case and now this new scam. I am unable to understand why Shilpa Shetty is still with this guy. She is an independent woman and can divorce this shady person for securing her future. I would not be suprised if he again goes to jail in this case and stays in for a long time.
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top altcoins are in trouble?? on: April 21, 2024, 07:40:46 AM
As Bitcoin Halving event has concluded we can be rest assure a bull run in the crypto market is going to happen. Like last time we can expect a long bull run and we will then be able to see how top altcoins perform. I am certain most of them will break thier previous ATH. The short bull run happened due to the Bitcoin ETF and the altcoins had nothing to do at that time as there wasn't any demand for them in the market.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ve Chain price to increase 6900%, will history be repeated itself on: April 21, 2024, 06:23:54 AM
A zombie coin that occasionally wakes up and then falls asleep again, which is ridiculous to see that is still even listed on binance and upbit. It's even weirder to see some people still buying this zomebie coin just caused by they being attracted with the pump that may be happening for short term. I'm still wondering why this zombie coin is still listed on Binance.

It's also piqued my interest in seeing what metrics Binance uses to rank the tokens and coins.

There is nothing wrong with VET and if you check the metrics correctly it has a decent volume on Binance. Why will the Binance delist it when people are still trading it on the exchange. It is not a zombie coin but a RWA base crypto project. RWA narrative in the first quater of this year had generate the second highest returns after meme coins. I don't see anything wrong with Ve Chain
