262  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s happening with the Bitcoin Price? on: October 06, 2014, 05:39:19 PM
BTC is meant to be a very volatile currency now, its still a baby currency.

This is true now, BTC is decreasing in value.

At least more people will be able to afford it.
263  Economy / Speculation / Re: Falllling is right again, Bitcoin will continue the downtrend on: October 06, 2014, 05:37:53 PM
It wont go lower than 200
 For sure

Of course it will.  It'll go as low as sub $30.

Get your fiat ready for then.
264  Economy / Speculation / Re: Source of 30k+ ask wall on Bitstamp on: October 06, 2014, 05:36:48 PM
It is a Bill Gates, learning of Bitcoin.
265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will plummet to $10 by first half of 2014 on: October 06, 2014, 05:36:06 PM
Funny to read when people said it cant go under $500.
266  Economy / Speculation / Re: bottom around 200$ in summer 2015? on: October 06, 2014, 05:33:41 PM
So when you suggest we buy BTC?

If the graph turns out to come true, best entry point would be next year at 200, but I would not rely on that. I hope this graph doesn't come true because with all the adoption going on, I can't imagine bitcoin would go lower than the multi year support line. As I said, I'm not a TA expert. I just bought another coin @300, just in case Smiley

When next year? Which month?
267  Economy / Speculation / Re: nomoreheroes7 Calling the Bottom on: October 06, 2014, 05:32:48 PM

So $USD will go to the moon now?
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: A public Thanks! on: October 06, 2014, 05:30:53 PM
I bought cheap coins at $650. thank you all who sold me so cheap.
269  Economy / Speculation / Re: For the bulls on: October 06, 2014, 05:29:53 PM
I think in the short term they may continue to be pain, but in the long term all the things that are causing pain (i.e. merchant adoption causing merchants to dump BTC) will end up getting BTC adopted enough to a point where it's value will skyrocket.  Unfortunately I think legal rules and regulations haven't really caught up to BTC and as of right now the IRS' rules have an unfortunate depressant effect on the price.  But I have faith that this will be worked out as governments grapple with cryptocurrency.  Bitcoin is here to stay and it *will* be worth so much more someday, it's just not clear when that day will come.

In the meantime load up on cheap coins while you can.  I do think that once ETFs come into play though there will be a jump in price from larger investors moving in.

We'll all be rich!

Yess buy Buy buy!
270  Economy / Speculation / Re: 25k btc's are about to be dumped on just bitstamp on: October 06, 2014, 05:26:13 PM
he didn't just lose $400,000, assuming the calc is correct.

Occam's Razor indicates he also lost control of 30000 BTC.  that's even more important.  i don't buy the idea he bought his own wall.  too much lost in fees when he could just've taken it down.  and he could've backed it up for a higher price.

I think he lost control of ~15k BTC or so, with a good risk of not being able to buy them back < $300

So what's your best guess as to the cause of that wall?

Me, I'm thinking a very early adopter who recently had a big life change, got married planning kids or something? Thought he'd like his new family to live in style.

Maybe he was Bill Gates, that just discovered Bitcoins exist and buy some and then sell some. Not really care if made some tiny loss.
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: 199 in the morning on: October 06, 2014, 05:22:45 PM
here we go boys.

the final slide has begun.

china will sell till we hit 250 and a panic usa will bring us to 199 in the morning.

night.

Maybe will happen tomorrow night?
272  Economy / Economics / Re: Buy and Hold Bitcoin untill next halving time on: October 06, 2014, 04:52:45 PM
Yes it's good to buy on the dips, but at 1000 700 seemed like a dip... a big one actually. And now we are at 390 or so. Also, when it comes to halving, DOGE halving did nothing, in fact it went down, so im not sure about halving being transaltedo n the price clearly as good.

Doge was at 25 satoshi and it went up over 100 satoshi knowing halving was imminent. Investors do not wait to the actual halving then invest, they invest beforehand.

Yes sure things gets calculated in price in advance. If you are sure, that Bill Gates will buy our all BTC owners, then people just dump before that actually happen.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons to HODL! on: October 06, 2014, 04:50:31 PM
What's the network effect of USD?  Think any crypto can overcome that?

The network effect of USD is shrinking and slowly being replaced by bilateral currency agreement with China RMB.

Not at all. Tons of people outside of the US are using the USD as a store of value because its relatively stable compared to whatever their country has.

Yes even China, Brazil. India Russia and South Africa. But what wil happen when suddenly all of them dump it?
274  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bitcoin prices are always very unstable on: October 06, 2014, 04:48:26 PM
Price of bitcoin is very unstable because there are many manipulator (early adopters) which can play with price of bitcoin in easy way. Anyway, I'm sure that in future if there will be some regulation from an authority we can stay relaxed  Smiley

Are you serious?

Only way is that much more users start using BTC, and then one guys actions will not push price up or down.
275  Economy / Economics / Re: Easiest way to make BTC? on: October 06, 2014, 04:46:38 PM
Enroll in a signature campaign which have a good rate Smiley
Trade with altcoin (You have to some expperience)
Mine, if you can spend a lot of money.

those are good suggestions.
276  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who uses "bits"? on: October 06, 2014, 04:44:37 PM
"µBTC" is kind of unfriendly, as your common person just has no idea what that is.

Most computer/internet users have idea what mili and micro means. At least I hope  Smiley

Most that ever went to school does. At least i hope so.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto? on: October 06, 2014, 04:05:30 PM
the real satoshi actually has a bitcoin kill switch, he made it so he could switch it off when he thinks bitcoin has failed.

So we will for sure know when he will wake up.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thank you BitcoinTalk Community! Proof that you are all AWESOME! on: October 06, 2014, 04:04:22 PM
Finally one happy ending story.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you notice the silence about this bitcoin crash in Mainstream media! on: October 06, 2014, 04:02:36 PM
The mainstream media which reports even small incidents bad about bitcoin is completely silent!

There is something going on

Bitcoin price is still much higher then was year ago. People wil have to start doing suicides, for media to notice.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When quoting small amounts of bitcoin, how do you call 100 satoshis? on: October 06, 2014, 04:00:18 PM
