261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trends for next bullrun on: February 28, 2019, 11:49:13 AM
The trend for the last bullrun appeared to be coins that focused on either privacy or scalability.

really. why don't i remember this then? Cheesy

i remember that there was some hype only for a short amount of time about privacy coins but that didn't really go anywhere. we had the ZCash and OnionCoin for a while but it didn't last.
then ever since the spam attack against bitcoin began in 2017 a lot of altcoins started advertising themselves as "solving bitcoin scaling problems" but ever since ethereum failed miserably with cryptokitties and its fees shot through the roof into 2 digits dollars people gave up on that hype too.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the best ethereum wallet mobile? on: February 28, 2019, 11:39:39 AM
use bitcoin and if you want real cheap and fast transactions then use lightning network, bitrefil is actually the first service that has been accepting bitcoin and also through lightning network for nearly no fee and at the "lightning" speed.

otherwise mobile wallets are not safe at all specially altcoin mobile wallets since they are either not reviewed at all or have little history.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if ethereum had a maximum coin supply set from the beginning? on: February 28, 2019, 11:34:53 AM
to get the answer to your question you first have to understand what ETH is and what bitcoin and other coins are.

bitcoin is a currency, it is supposed to work that way and it also is supposed to be deflationary unlike the usual fiat that is inflationary. also it aims at fixing the problem with fiat that the government can print as much as they like any time they want.

now what is Ether? ether is just a token that is designed to work as a "fuel" to smart contracts. in fact it having value doesn't make much sense but unfortunately you can't create a token and not have it be traded. and it is designed to work on the platform called ethereum. so in order to do that it has to have unlimited supply. and  the result is that it will lose value in the long run because of that design but that doesn't matter because as i said ETH is not designed to be a currency or anything like that. it is just a token for smart contract usages.

Apparently, even Ethereum Cofounder Vitalik Buterin thought that Ether total supply wouldn't go past 100M at-least for a decade,

that is a dumb statement! where did you even get that from?
supply is not something you speculate about, it is clear when how much is going to be created thanks to  the design of PoW and difficulty you can predict it with a small tolerance.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Hardfork on: February 25, 2019, 04:12:47 PM
In your opinion, will it improve the price more? Do eth holders will receive corresponding amount of fork also? Coz I wanna convert my btc if ever.

it is very hard to say in my opinion because there are nearly equal reasons for it to get dumped as there are reasons for it to get pumped.

for example the split risk alone can turn a lot of users away specially since the new fork is not tested and has the risks of being exploited and they can easily lose their money.
but at the same time we have the fork hype that IF the pumpers choose they can pump it good.

my speculation is that we are going to see an initial pump to see how the newbies react and then if things were good we can see a bigger pump that will last right before the fork like one day before on Feb 27 and then see the dumping begin and continue through Feb 28 crashing the market down.
265  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: could this be the best week for litecoin on: February 25, 2019, 03:49:27 PM
this was once again proof that litecoin is mainly following bitcoin and as bitcoin rises it can start having a better time rising but mostly it follows bitcoin not anything else.
there are of course rare cases that litecoin sees pumps because it is still an altcoin and in those cases it can go on its own like when it has a halving coming or something like that which can help its pump. otherwise it will need bitcoin to rise first before it follows.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will all altcoin return to zero in 2019?Money does not return to btc on: February 25, 2019, 03:35:07 PM
i don't think it can happen in 2019 but it will happen for sure, sooner or later. for now there is still hope among newbies that these dead coins revive and whales might pick some of them up and pump the shit out of them to get a good big profit out of them before they let them die for good.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if 5 head of the big country are Cryptocurrency supporters? on: February 25, 2019, 03:11:30 PM
well they are not and they are not going to be so none of this is ever going to happen Cheesy

but even if they were, it still wouldn't change much about 90% of the altcoins. we may only see bitcoin grow faster as it is the only valuable currency that is working properly as it should and the rest are still the same pump and dumps without usage!

besides governments are not known to support anything they can not control!
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got burned! goodbye easy money! on: February 25, 2019, 03:00:00 PM
as long as you don't confuse illusions with opportunities, you will succeed in this market. for example in the past 2 year we have all witnessed how many people thought ICO tokens were exactly that "opportunity of a lifetime" and invested in them just to lose a large amount of money as they got dumped on them.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending altcoin without fee? on: February 25, 2019, 02:44:06 PM
you are wrong. you can not "send altcoins on chain" if they have set a mandatory on chain fee there is no way around it unless you mine the block yourself and include the transaction without fee.

what you said about "sending with email" is the worst idea because you are not sending the coin, you are sending something else, possibly the private keys and it is not at all safe.
270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl some of your coins Billion people will use Crypto in 5 years on: February 25, 2019, 02:38:30 PM
it all comes down to WHAT you hold you can't hold anything and then expect to make profit and become successful. a lot of the altcoins that you see today won't even last till the first half of 2019 let alone till the future to reach the mass adoption and good days. they will die fast.
271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let's analyse Bitcoin's recent market rise on: February 24, 2019, 12:32:15 PM
things like SEC's bullshit ETF, JPMorgan shitcoin, ... and basically any other nonsense like that which have no real influence on bitcoin and its fundamentals are not going to affect the price in a meaningful way.

additionally when you have an overused news such as ETF which was used at least 20 times each time with diminishing effect, you can't expect it to to continue being a thing for the 21st time too!

this rise simply is because price was under the real intrinsic value of bitcoin for a long time and it needed to be corrected.
272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Winter is Over - Spring has Come on: February 24, 2019, 12:21:38 PM
maybe, maybe it's a short time raise! but I love to stay optimistic Smiley

there are no short term raises for bitcoin.
there is only all time constant rises for bitcoin with short term drops where it becomes under-valued and sometimes extremely so and then goes back to rising again.
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DASH still a good long term viable project? on: February 24, 2019, 12:02:49 PM
centralized altcoins with a shady history has never been a good choice for long term investments so i wouldn't think of it more than a short term pump and dump coin which is similar to most other altcoins and i would treat it that way. but i do it because i am only interested in guaranteeing my own success and reducing the risks of losing any of my bitcoins which i invest in altcoins. you may not be the same as me!
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sign of bull run? on: February 24, 2019, 11:19:50 AM
no, this is a clear sign of bitcoin price recovering from an underpriced level to more realistic values.

and each time bitcoin does a recovery, the altcoin pumpers take advantage of the temporary hype to make a temporary profit by pumping certain altcoins up then dumping them hard back down on the newbies who FOMO bought those coins.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is waves still unknown to most people ? on: February 24, 2019, 11:06:40 AM
because the price of it is pretty low compared to big coins that have occupied the top ranks on coinmarketcap.com and because of it people don't see these coins that have lower value.

additionally because unlike other pump and dump coins like ETH, this coin (Wave) doesn't get the same pumps so again people are more interested in shitcoins such as ETH that get pumped and forget about good projects that don't get pumped!
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another trap for ETH? on: February 23, 2019, 12:51:44 PM
Ethereum should be able to maintain it's value this year and build on that progressively as the new features become implemented successfully and more use cases are explored and if demand improves from an increase in investment opportunities through crowdsales once again then its value should see a sizable appreciation, but it may be a little while before confidence returns to that sector and this eventuates as regulation is still moving very slowly on a global scale
We should support to make it possible, it has been a great coin but due to some FUD the price dump.
Now, they are going to give some update so people should come back and buy ETH because it's a real project that shows real support.
Long way to go, the price maybe cheap for now but it's not gonna stop their, move development, which means more valuable price to witness.

the price went down because
- it was pumped to go up and it needed to get dumped to come down since you will never ever have a pump without a dump.
- it also was because most of the rise was due to ICOs and they are nearly dead now. in other words in 2017 everyone was buying ETH to invest in ICOs so its price went up, now that nobody does that anymore, it can not go back up.
- and to top it all, ETH has an unlimited supply. i don't think i have to explain how supply and demand works, do i?
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ATM malware on: February 23, 2019, 12:36:15 PM
there is always backdoors and bugs in any computer that can be exploited at some point when they are found but then again they will be patched after they were found and it will be over, that is like the inevitable part of running a business like this.

but as others said anybody who claims to be selling it to others is just lying and wants to take your money!
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can an exchange that requires KYC call itself as DEX? on: February 23, 2019, 12:25:07 PM
every time i start thinking i have seen every strange thing coming out of the altcoin market, i  will soon find a new weird thing pop up in my face! this one is the latest thing and it is one of the big ones in my opinion. to claim to be a "decentralized" exchange while requiring KYC is just absurd.

i guess the real question is why are they doing it? what would they achieve? more money? or is binance already taken over by the government?
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you comfort yourself after receiving token from the bounty program? on: February 23, 2019, 12:15:27 PM
you should NOT console yourself!

instead of finding a way to cope with the problem, you should start looking for a way to solve the issue. if you lost money bag holding some useless token then you have to start thinking what you could do to avoid that and other losses like that.
for example the simplest solution would be not to become a bag holders and not to hold any ICO token in first place.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will POS become the norm and replace POW forever? on: February 23, 2019, 12:07:10 PM
the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!

that has been the case with POW versus POS algorithms. of course the altcoin advertisements that are filled with lies and exaggerations don't help that either.
