There is pressure. It's not often I see > 2.300.000 USD on the bid side. But this wall is welcome back  Oh how I miss Mr. 1.6million bid wall, I really loved his style.  On another note, only 38k btc left on the ask side $15 and under. Then there's barely anything.  |

Correct, there is very little buying or selling (aka volume) right now. But lots of bids have been placed this past week, which is buying pressure. |

This board is labeled, "Speculation about the Bitcoin price." That would be why nobody talks about litecoin. I bet in litecoin forums there would be people speculating about litecoin there.

The bot always does it, whether the bid/ask difference is 10 cents or 0.0001 cents. I would guess that not everyone looks at the order book before placing their bids, many will just go off of the values they see on Mt Gox's trade page
That's what this bot is going for. Which begs the question... How much do these bots distort the true market value? The true market value isn't distorted because of this, because you are free to run a bot against him. This bot does have a small effect on the price though. |

Its the bot that places a 0.01 ask 0.00001 above the highest bid to try and suppress the price. how would that suppress price... and how long to take out this 1.4k 13.50 ask wall When a normal user logs onto mtgox and is on the buy tab, they see the price of the ask the bot placed, which can cause them to place lower bids than they would have originally. Plus the bot sells 0.01 at market first, so the Mtgox last price always appears lower than it should. |

I would say its safe, but as mentioned above, if you aren't going to be using them for awhile you should go ahead and move them to cold storage.
