263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: February 20, 2016, 03:44:33 AM
Yep, but not anytime soon. Centralised banking is too big at the moment to ged rid of.
264  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: February 19, 2016, 07:56:38 AM
The office is the best IMO.
265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The best cloud mining site !!! on: February 16, 2016, 07:57:57 PM
You won't get your ROI back anytime soon... Do not invest. For the most trustworthy one i'd go with hashnest, since they're linked with bitmain.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: February 05, 2016, 05:57:01 AM
No, I don't think that gambling is profitable in the long run.. even if we say we win in a certain period, but if you compute everything, you've lost a lot already before gaining few wins.

It is theoretically possible for you to win every time you bet... If you have that kind of luck, that is.
267  Economy / Services / Re: Doxing Service - US only on: January 22, 2016, 11:29:56 PM
What will I get for 100$? Will you be able to dox anyone that is on this forum? If yes, please dox satoshi nagamoto and I'll pay you 1000$ for that information.
His profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

That seems like a worthy task for a worthy doxxer Smiley

269  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Check Potential Activity on: December 26, 2015, 09:34:31 AM
It's sad, I want a potential activity checker that doesn't take 2 minutes to work, and one that I don't have to pay for. More of the latter, to be honest.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 15, 2015, 09:36:27 PM
Are you mining solo, or in a pool? Because I highly doubt you'll mine a block solo. Even with a couple of antminers.

Mining in a pool won't be profitable either, so many people are mining alongside you.

But id recommend holding your coins (if your talking about bitcoin), as theyre +EV. So obvious they don't be going down soon, the only reason they dropped last time, was because of MT Gox. Screw them.

As uh... Lagsalot said,
Bitcoin is bound to go up. Sure, people say it's deflationary, but just think. After 21 million coins, bitcoin's amount will be static, even decreasing, because of the list coins out there. This is why I'm buying coins for my gf this Christmas Grin
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: November 30, 2015, 03:01:57 AM
I'd recommend using the martingale strategy with a 1 satoshi base bet, and a 5+ BTC bankroll. What's the chance of losing? You can last almost 25 losses in a row. Betting on an extreme low house edge dice site, and betting low every single time Cheesy

Worked for me, left it on for multiple days straight. Wink
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: November 22, 2015, 12:10:27 PM
There are no actual 100% safe methods to gamble, but you could try martingale. If you have a large enough bankroll, it's almost impossible to lose. Let's say you martingale with 1 bitcoin at a 1 satoshi base bet.

If my maths is correct (I actually have no idea if it's correct or not), you should be able to cover about 20 losses in a row. How could you roll wrongly 20 times in a row!? (It's actually possible, I've lost 15 times in a row before xD)
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why would customers use Bitcoins? on: November 22, 2015, 12:04:15 PM
To be eligible to receive payments as a business through a credit card company, you have to waste funds buying a payment system, like those pin-pads. With bitcoin, you can just paste a QR code on your front desk and confirm payments using your mobile phone. Bitcoin is also safer in your hands, then in a bank. What would happen if your country's banks had a problem like greece, and you can't withdraw money from ATMs anymore? You could just do a one-on-one trade with bitcoins without touching the bank.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: November 22, 2015, 11:58:24 AM
Litecoin can act as a sort of a TestCoin, but we already have a dedicated coin for that now. This is one of the reasons litecoin has dropped in value so much. There really isn't a use for it right now. Bitcoin is all there needs to be. That's like saying to America, "Hey, we have a dollar, but why don't we use another currency alongside the dollar? Like the pound?" It's just not right.

Bitcoin on the other hand, is the original and the most widely known. It has a thriving community and yes, even though it has a volatile price, a $1200 to $200 price drop is nothing compared to a $2 to $1 drop.
275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future Transaction Fees on: November 22, 2015, 11:53:28 AM
How would you change the fee, since bitcoin is a P2P network? Does someone go around asking people, "Hey! Stop paying 0.0001 as your tx fee! The meta is now 0.00001!"? Or do we have to switch to a totally different Bitcoin client?

This is all quite confusing to me, as you can see, I'm a mere Jr Member. Enlighten me.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I believe in Bitcoin ? on: November 15, 2015, 10:53:54 AM
Yes, you should. Bitcoin, despite its horrible tendency to sound, had a strong and thriving community. This is what drives a currency, and is what will make the bitcoin of the future. And that bitcoin is the bitcoin of today.
277  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin halving to be canceled? on: November 11, 2015, 09:23:32 PM
Your OP is quite confusing. The Bitcoin halving cannot be canceled unless the whole bitcoin community agrees for an edit to the bitcoin source code that we all use. Then we all have to start using a new or updated bitcoin wallet. This will not happen, as it has been tried, with Bitcoin XT. Most people will reject this change, as when someone holds 21 BTC, they hold a millionth of all the bitcoins there will ever be.
278  Other / Meta / Recent Post Timer Reduced? on: November 02, 2015, 12:18:22 PM
Hey guys, I've recently been wondering about something. Just last week, I could post, but not post again from the same IP for 6 minutes. Now, it's only 62 seconds, even though i'm still a newbie!

Was there a recent change I havent been notified of?
279  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 02, 2015, 12:15:04 PM
I really don't think bitcoin's that big, and will replace the dollar completely. Because there are only 21 million coins!

But really. I think it will become a side currency, but not replace dollars.
280  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining rewards $$$ nothing on: November 02, 2015, 06:08:05 AM
Why don't you just build a mining farm and get a real ROI?
